if you think you will get all those players for 7 million as Austin would cost 5-6 and more likely to go to the premier league as he has proved himself in all divisions and talk of a few premier league teams making an approach. If he does sign for a premier league club his next stop will be a full england international.

A host of Championship clubs are lining up for a move for Simeon Jackson. The clubs most interested at the moment are Ipswich Town, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.

Hate to say it being an Ipswich fan, but we could do a lot worse than signing Jackson on a free. I know he's played for the Canaries but for the sake of progressing as a football club we need to start considering players of his quality.

McFadden is proven at international level, and spent most of his career in the Premiership. And went up from the championship with Birmingham City. He has scored against quality teams such as Holland, Spain, France, Ukraine.

Nigel Adkins is considering a £1.5 million swoop to bring Southampton flop Billy Sharp to Reading. Sharp is thought to be looking for a new club after finding first team places scarce at Southampton, and a deal between them and Nottingham Forest to make his loan move permanent has broken down. Adkins is thought to be an admirer of Sharp despite not handing him as many first team appearances as he would have liked at the Saints.

In no way was Billy Sharp a flop for Southampton. Contributed a lot in the final push for promotion and was wrongfully not given a chance in the Premiership despite having a good pre-season! Any championship would be lucky to sign him!

What a great goal poacher sharp was for Doncaster, saints and notts forest certainly not a flop his goals helped to get us up. Is it sour grapes as he may be back with Adkins again.

The new manager may have different targets. They must get rid of some high earners before committing to an even larger wage bill to comply with FFP. Any signings though will be delayed due to a management change and so will miss out on some targets.

Leeds United manager Brian McDermott is wanting to sign five players in the summer.
The first is thought to be 22 year old Carlisle full back Christopher Chantler. The former Manchester City youngster has impressed McDermott over the last season and it is believed an undisclosed fee has already been agreed.
McDermott is also keen on bringing in a winger.
It is thought to be Tremaine Stewart. He will join other Jamaican at the club in Rodolph Austin. The 25 year old plays in Norway for Aalesund and has turned down other clubs to join United.
Three strikers are also on the radar at Elland Road.
Nottingham Forest hitman David McGoldrick is subject of interest from McDermott. The former Southampton striker was originally set to join Ipswich after his loan move but it is believed United have managed to persuade him to come to West Yorkshire.
The second forward in line for a Elland Road debut is Rotherham player Alex Revell. The 29 year old believes he is ready to jump League 1 and head straight into The Championship after winning promotion with Rotherham. It is thought United manager Steve Evans is reluctant to let the former Braintree attacker leave but a bid of £400,000 could tempt him to part ways with Revell.
The final forward who McDermott believes can take Leeds into a top six place next season is yet another Jamaican. Karabukspor attacker Luton Shelton is subject of already having talks with McDermott. The 27 year old is known for his lightening pace and has most notably played in Norway for Valarenga. Shelton is out of contract in the summer and won't cost United a penny.

McGoldrick has already signed a pre-contract deal at Ipswich. Utter tosh.
