Out of contract goalkeeper Neil Alexander is apparently leaving Rangers after failing to agree to fresh terms. Both Derby County and Birmingham City are said to be keen on signing him.

JWILLIAMS

Any chance of doing some research before posting silly rumours. Derby have just signed Grant, now making 4 goalkeepers. Unlikely to add Alexander to the number!

Get your fact right we signed Grant from Burnley so therefore we won't be getting Alexander.

Wee Ally

Forgetting about the team who where talking to him yesterday, he does not want to move from Scotland but wants to play in England, that leaves 1 club within a 30 minute journey that is Carlisle

Just. been confirmed up north that talks have took place with john taylor and rangers early yesterday afternoon

03 May 2013 21:30:39
This is not a rumour but a certainty.
shrewsbury towns rated winger john taylor will sign for rangers before june.
as I have been told by a very reliable source up there playing at firth park. by a ex member of salops playing staff.
taylor has already met with mcoist and both parties are keen to put pen to paper asap.
taylor has been offered a huge salary plus signing fee as they gwt him on a free. watch this space

Town are interested in signing former villa free agent moustapha salifou

Ummm No! Taylor is hardly going to get noticed playing in those Leagues. Taylor will only be moving to a League 1 or Championship club if any at all

They can't get him on a free. We've offered him a contract

No way is Taylor going to rangers he'd be unnoticed

Taylor on a free? Under 21 and put of contract requires a few since he was offered a new contract

04 May 2013 16:05:33
Would be surprised to see this move happen, however Rangers CAN sign Taylor on a free, new contract offer or not. The rule of players under 23 commanding a compensation payment/fee if offered a new contract only applies if the player moves to a club within the same national association, ie England. If Taylor signs for a club outside the English leagues then no compensation is due. So, Shrews fans had better hope he either signs a new deal or moves to an English side.

Strong talk north of the border linking taylor with a rangers move.
with mccoist stating he has had taylor watched and the reports were positive,
the added attraction being he will get him on a free.

Queen of the South's hot shotstriker Nicky Clark has interest from Rangers, Derby County, Sheffield United, Carlisle and Shrewsbury.
Source: Scottish Express.

Attraction of each club
Rangers: Has great history
Derby: Has the championship
Sheffield united: Have more money than Carlisle and Shrewsbury
Carlisle: Its only a 25 minute drive from where live now, and is a popular club around with the Scottish
Shrewsbury: I can't think of any

Attraction of Shrewsbury: great club, great manager, great modern stadium, great facilities, great owner, big ambition of championship football.

Shrewsbury have Graham Turner,. a good manager with a young side and good setbup. Any decent striker will get a lot of game time

We need one or two new strikers so wouldn't mind him

I also think Carlisle have the youngest squad average age of 22. 8 as things stand, 8 of which have came through the academy.

02 May 2013 12:28:27
Glasgow Rangers to sign Richard Foster from Bristol City on a free transfer.

Richard Foster will be available for a free transfer if he has another year to run or not.

The fans have turned on him big time.

Scottish football.

Gary Mackay-Steven and johnny Russell set to be sold as a package deal to Cardiff in the summer with a fee of around 4million being tossed around.

Anthony Stokes will leave Celtic in the summer after a few falling outs with staff and manager throughout the season.

Cammy bell will be going to rangers early in the transfer window and Kilmarnock will replace him with the Inverness goalkeeper rejero.

Scott Arfield has been linked with hibs, Kilmarnock and Inverness.

Dundee utd are looking to sign serge Gnarby on loan from arsenal for 6months.

Griffiths will return to wolves with Celtic Cardiff Norwich and Blackburn interested.

01 May 2013 10:57:33
Stokes is getting a new contract soooo. naw.

4 million for Russell and Stevens would be a great deal for cardiff

30 Apr 2013 11:59:10
Gillingham and glasgow rangers in the hunt to sign out of contract midfielder andrew tutte

18 Apr 2013 09:43:20
With Cardiffs place in the Premier League they will be making moves for:

John Brayford - Derby
Aaron Ramsey - Arsenal
Luke Murphy - Crewe
Maynor Figueroa - Wigan
Kenwyne Jones - Stoke

Players expected to leave are:

Etien Velikonja - Burnley
Steve McPhail - set to become part of the back room staff
Fillip Kiss - Huddersfield
Peter Whittingham - Fulham
Heidar Helguson - Released
Tommy Smith - Reading
Craig Conway - Rangers

John Brayford is the championships best right back. Interest from West Ham and Swansea was quelled last season.

Derby would accept a bid over 1.5 million pounds.

18 Apr 2013 12:21:07
Malky was interested in Brayford during January but was priced out of a move. He will be back this summer

Messi, Ronaldo, RVP and Tevez? why not? Reading is close to London and Heathrow?

Who's velikonja is he any good what position does he play. ?

If Cardiff where crazy enough to want Kenwyn Jones firstly I would drive him there myself, secondly I couldn't see on that list a right leg, a left leg, a head and a heart all of which would need replacing, biggest waste of money ever spent by Stoke and I think only 4 goals with his feet in 4 seasons!!

Tommy smith to Reading town right?

Aaron Ramsey. LOL

Can't see us selling Brayford personally. Everything I've heard about him points to him wanting to stay.

4 goals with his feet don't make me laugh he's scored quite a few seen as though he's been a sub for most of them, and as for him being the biggest waste of money your clearly forgetting the 6ft 7 waste of space who cost 12 million and can't do anything but volley the ball and sprint towards the defender at 0.1 miles an hour, without Jones coming into the team when crouch got injured we'd be relegated by now having scored only about 18 goals, Jones doesn't just score more goals than crouch per minute, he also creates a lot more for others, Pulis dropping him for crouch when he was in form could get us relegated, rant over

30 million you joking that's if we were to stay in the prem which is not gunna happen we will probably spend no more than 10 million

That brayfords not the leagues best right back, trippier is

Of course Brayford wants to stay and not ply his trade in the Premier League, choosing instead to waste another year of his career at a seasonal mid table championship side. Hmmmmm

I think Brayford has just bought a house in Derbyshire not long ago.

I have seen Brayford and Trippier and to give an honest opinion, Brayford is better defensively Trippier is better going forward they are different types of fullback.

Overall I think Brayford is a better player only because he can play CB as well and is more versatile. Other than that they are both the best right backs outside the premier league. Both would be good buys for any lower end premier league clubs. {Ed003's Note - I agree about Trippier great going forward when he plays well is when Austin scores, he has set most of his goals up,not taking away anything from Austin he still has to put the ball in the net}

The rumours are true about Derby agreeing to cash in on Brayford, Jeff Hendrick is the other young Rams star that'll be going, interest from Wigan and Villa. These deals will fund moves for more experienced players.

Agreed, both Brayford and Hendrick will be off this summer

You can have Kenwyne Jones, he's like playing with 10 men

Byrams best rb outside pl

Whoever had that rant at peter crouch clearly does not watch stoke regularly he does a lot more than head the ball and volley it. As seen as last year he brings the ball down and brings players into the game very well, his skill and control are not half bad and for a lanky man he's got a half decent shot and has proven his worth at stoke despite not being great this season. Jones is similar just stronger and quicker on his feet but the problem is you don't always get 100% from kenwyne

21 Apr 2013 14:59:07
no thanks - byram would be great though please Adkins

Kiss could be the next Darren Bullock sign him up immediately.

06 Apr 2013 23:42:24
Hondurian midfielder Arnold peralta claims to be 90% a rangers player, the other 10% is when he signs the contract. Source- Spanish interview.

03 Apr 2013 10:41:14
rangers keeper neil alexander has snubbed a new deal at rangers as he looks set for a move to england. a host of premier league and championship clubs are interested.

You must be his Agent. He was even dodgy when he was with us.

Redbird

Hes at his standard div 3 in scotland, good shotstopper but that's it, well dodgy when he was at the bluebirds.

13 Mar 2013 15:45:35
Hull City's summer transfers include -

Ryan Taylor - Newcastle United
Matthew Kilgallon - Sunderland
Daniel Ayala - Norwich City
Gary O'Neil - West Ham United
Jonny Howson - Norwich City
Jamie Mackie - Queens Park Rangers
Billy Sharp - Southampton

Planning for another season in the championship with a motley crew like that!

Billy Sharp already agreed to join Notts Forest permanently for £1.2million.

14 Mar 2013 13:57:22
billy sharp is a red

Hull will make the permenant signings of Elmohamady, Gedo and Fathi first. Excellent players! Howson won't be allowed to leave Norwich, he is a future captain for them. Raheem Sterling rumoured to be joining on loan for the rest of the season.

Good bunch of players but no better than we already have (maybe with the exception of Howson).

Don't want Ayala. His decision to move to Norwich over us says he is only after the limelight of the Prem, not bothered about the long haul.

Mackie will be on quite big money at QPR. Do we need another drain on finances?

O'Neil is average. Rosenior is better than Taylor. Kilgallon would only be a bit part player for us.

Howson would be great but agree with other poster that he will probably stay were he is.

Howson future captain! Haha. He's pretty useless so no way. Wouldn't bet against him leaving next year.

09 Feb 2013 01:36:05
Hibernain are poisted to sign former Hearts & Rangers striker Andrius Velika. But could face competition from Morton and Queen of the South.

01 Feb 2013 09:15:02
Kevin Thomson is on his way back to Glasgow Rangers after being released by Middlesborough. {Ed039's Note - Rangers are restricted by a transfer embargo which does not allow them to sign players over 18 years of age until 1st September, regardless of whether they are free agents or not. So he wont be signing for Rangers)

Think you will find he will sign for one of
the yorkshire clubs till end of season

Rangers can sign free agents from 1st September, so could sign him then

31 Jan 2013 12:15:10
Tony Pulis is closing in on the signature of Brek Shea after it is thought that the player has passed his medical with only a work permit now standing in the way. A hearing is set to take place at Wembley Stadium this afternoon with representatives present for both the club and player.

Jack Butland, also represented by Stoke based solicitors Beswicks, has been the subject of an enquiry from the Potters and a firm offer may well go in before tonight`s 11pm deadline. Birmingham would want most of the money up front for the England international with an offer of £3.5m thought to be enough to sign the 19-year-old.

Peter Crouch is one player who could leave the club, but Queens Park Rangers` £5m bid has been rejected by Stoke although a slightly higher offer may see the 32-year-old leave after 18 months in the Potteries.

Defender Matthew Upson is attracting interest from Championship side Brighton and Hove Albion. The experienced defender has only played once in the Premier League this season -the 3-3 draw against Southampton in December. Brighton coach Charlie Oatway says that Upson is a player that is on the club`s radar.

So the only rumour involving Southampton today is about a player, who once played against Southampton, moving to Brighton. Suspense.

The local paper in Brighton (The Argus) has printed this rumour. Charlie Oatway has said that Upson is on their radar for a CB, although after only playing one game, it's dubious as to whether Upson is going to be able to perform in the championship.

Why would Rangers want to sign any of the above?

29 Jan 2013 18:49:06
rangers to sign barry ferguson as a player coach for next season and also kevin thomson, tom hateley, cameron bell and andrew shinnie.

Rangers, Preston and Motherwell battling it out to sign Lee Miller before Thursdays deadline

Rangers are under a transfer embargo so the can't sign him
davy

Rangers can't sign anyone and Motherwell won't be signing unless someone leaves. He is however a 'Well fan!

24 Jan 2013 19:02:53
Kevin Thomson is on the brink of a loan deal to Sheffield United after turning down a chance to return to Rangers.

24 Jan 2013 14:38:56
Chris Boyd, currently training with Rangers after being released by Portland Timbers is set to join Carlisle until the end of the season.

That would be a great signing can't see us getting him would be great if we did though

16 Jan 2013 23:39:41
QPR will see a player leave before the transfer window ends but will also see yet another player join.
Winger Junior Hoilett has been told he can leave if a sum of £5 million can be reached. Sunderland are thought to be leading the chase after Martin O'Neill declared his interest in the summer regarding the Canadian international.
Coming into Loftus Road will be Iago Falque. The Spaniard playmaker currently plays for Tottenham and Rangers boss Harry Redknapp was the man who brought him to England whilst at White Hart Lane.

17 Jan 2013 13:19:37
I very much doubt it. A lightweight ball player in midfield who couldn't get a game at Southampton in the Championship when he went their on loan in last January's transfer window.

Hoilett is injured and i still think he can play a massive part in qpr staying up.
