Cardiff appear to be the front runners in the chase for Bristol City winger Albert Adomah.
Crystal Palace are also interested but Ian Holloway's hands are tied until after the play-off final.
At least 3 other Championship clubs have also shown an interest (including Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday)

Shouldn't think he'd be a target for prem clubs at the mo, had a poor season

Adomah is good, but far from premier league quality.

If you're going to play with 3 forwards Albert could play in the Premier League.

He needs limited defensive duties, and to be allowed to pick the ball up and run at people.

He isn't disaplined enough for 442.

Heard Cardiff is his likely destination. His wife/partner? wants to stay living in Bristol.

Why don't you pay that much for kilkenny, brilliant player, deserves chelsea or arsenal (trying to make you interested) haha

17 May 2013 12:46:48
Sheffield Wednesday are wanting to sign experienced midfielder Stephen McPhail from Cardiff.

I would like to wish him the very best what a great pro, and having to contend with all the lies he was fed by malky to keep him at the club

Theres only one Macca to me, STEVE MCPHAIL

17 May 2013 13:06:00
Shrewsbury Town are set to turn the loan spell of Julian Bennett from Sheffield Wednesday into a permanent deal.

He hasn't been on loan for ages so that's abit wrong.

Don't think so Bennett is crocked and was sent home from his loan early in December 2012!

Jacques Maghoma arriving at middlesborough for medical after snubbing shrewsbury and leeds

Cant see bennett sighning as Joe Jacobson is to good of a left back for bennett to get in the team.

17 May 2013 09:17:47
Sheffield Wednesday want Michael Kightly on a season long loan after he fell out of favour with the Potters

He is going to forest

16 May 2013 19:46:58
Seyi Olofinjana to Sheffield Wednesday

15 May 2013 19:20:22
Jacques Maghoma is wanted by Brentford, Doncaster, Sheffield Wednesday, Middlesbrough, Cardiff, Shrewsbury, Rotherham, Ipswich, Bournemouth, Palace, Westbrom, Bradford, Brighton, Leeds, Birmingham, Leicester, Millwall and Derby.

Any1 else think uve covered every team in that post

Nice and specfic, then

Competition is low then

15 May 2013 20:59:02
There is now way all of those teams want a league 2 player, espeicially cardiff and leicter. Besides boro are favouretes to sign him, and an earlier post said we already did.

From what I hear its a done deal at middlesbrough.

You forgot Dortmund, Bayern, PSG and Barcelona.

Anyone else I think you might have missed one!!

Haha. No chance. A prem team? No way in hell.

If your going to name that many teams just say every team in the football league.

You forgot QPR they like to sign everyone

You forgot to mention Charlton, Leeds and Leicester.

15 May 2013 17:53:50
Sheffield Wednesday are contemplating a bid for Peterborough's Tommy Rowe

Let's hope so. Has to be one of the most over rated players in the POSH squad. For some reason he is one of Fergies favourites but don't know why. Goes missing during the game on numerous occasions and costs goals and ultimately points. Apart from that he's fine

Goes missing when in Midfield. Played well at Left Back last season, an unsung hero at times IMO. Capable of playing Championship football. sad to see him go but won't sign a new deal so better to make a few quid than let him go for nowt.

Sorry what?! We lost the first 7 games when Rowe was injured. We won the game he returned in. How can you say he costs us points?

Rowe is one of our better players and imo a close second for player of the year.

Not quite sure what the person who posted the top comment was thinking. Rowe is a fantastic winger and has operated fantastically well at LB as well as scoring some crucial goals.

I agree rowe was arguably our best player this season

Tommy Rowe is one of Peterborough's best players. It's those people who have limited knowledge on football that don't appreciate what he brings to the team.

Ex Coventry city and Sheffield Wednesday centre half Richard Wood to join chesterfield on a free to partner Liam Cooper meanwhile Richard Brindley will agree a new two year deal with the club but the future of Mark Randall still remains unclear. Captain Sam Hird who was transferred listed following the season closing will join Scunthorpe utd for free. Spireites have a number targets touted heres a few that I've been told from an extremely good source:

Conor McCormack Shamrock Rovers
Romuald Boco Accrington Stanley
Conor Townsend Hull City
Adam Chapman Belper Town
Matt Mitchell King Afc Wimbledon
Richard Wood Coventry City
Jason Walker York City
Deane Smalley Oxford United
Amine Linganzi Accrington Stanley
Karl Sheppard Reading
Paul Black Oldham
Craig Lindfield Accrington Stanley

15 May 2013 17:07:53
Paul black does not play for oldham

Richard Wood was on 8K at city and could easily get into a lower championship team

Take sheppard

Paul black is on trial at oldham, was last at tranmere

Mat Mitchell-King got released by us for a reason, you don't want to sign him

Conor McCormack would be a great signing

Wood - mentioned every window because we once offered to take him on loan after an injury
Boco - wants too much money
Smalley - won't be coming back (griffiths syndrom)
Linfield - we have our quota of forwards for this season

Black isn;t an Oldham player Tranmere released him he played one game on trial against UTD and bye bye now.

We have Grounds anyway so he wouldn;t get a game.

8k a week at Coventry? Dream on mate!

As if Richard Wood has ever earned 8k in his career, never mind at Coventry.

Black doesn't play for latics anymore. Good luck if you think you might sign him, useless full back

15 May 2013 12:08:56
Hull City to make contact with the following:

Callum McManaman (Wigan £5m)
Jordan Rhodes (Blackburn £4m)
Curtis Davies (Birmingham £2m)
Danny Simpson (Newcastle FREE)
Nick Powell (Manchester United Season-long loan)
John Guidetti (Manchester City Season-long loan)
Andy King (Leicester City £1.5m)
Shaun Maloney (Wigan £3m)
Paul Scharner (Wigan £2m)
Jon Walters (Stoke City £3m)
Jamie O'Hara (Wolves £1m)
Vito Mannone (Arsenal £1.5m) and/or David Stockdale (Fulham £3m)
Nakhi Wells (Bradford City £2m)

Steve Bruce is though to be choosing around 5/6 players from that list in order to aid Hull City's Premier League survival scrap.

Hull City are also ready to allow the following to leave:

Seyi Olofinjana (Sheffield Wednesday FREE)
Liam Rosenior (Leeds FREE)
Nick Proschwitz (SC Paderborn Season-long loan)
Jay Simpson (Wolves £1m)
Paul McKenna (Retirement)
Andy Dawson (Retirement - possible coaching role at the Club)
Mark Cullen (Bury £150k)
Jamie Devitt (Bradford City £100k)
Matty Fryatt (Derby County £1m)
Aaron McLean (Notts County FREE)

Why would Blackburn accept that for Rhodes when they paid £8m for him a year ago and he was their top scorer this season?

I doubt Pulis's Love child Jon Walters will be sold on the cheap for £3 million. more like 4-5

You under estermated about every player price tag there

Seems unlikely that Blackburn would be willing to sell Rhodes for £4m 1 season after they paid £8m for him.

If your bidding £2m for Nhaki Wells I will drive him across the M62 myself

So you r going to buy 30 mill worth of players and only sell about 500k I don't think so.

Scharner isn't a Wigan Player he's on loan from Hannover 96 and why would Blackburn sell Rhodes for 4m when they only just brough him last season for 8m so you would be looking at 8m+ not 4m

Walters 3m? are you having a laugh, 6m at least

From a wigan fan, maloney said he doesn't want to leave, and mcmanaman is worth more that that,. And to add, scharner does even play for us, he is on loan from hamburg

Jordan Rhodes signed for Blackburn for around 7m, scored a load of goals and one season later you think he'll leave for 4m?

I would like to see Jon Walters. He is hardworking and clearly the premiership quality we need. He would be a nice addition and Stoke may also sell him at a reasonable price. I would pay up to £5 million

£4 million for Jordan Rhodes - LOL
More like £8 million

From That list the only players I believe we could actually get are
Powell
Guidetti
King
Scharner
Walters
O'hara
Mannone
Wells

15 May 2013 17:17:09
can have wells for 2 million and for Jamie devitt 100k. no thanks

Mark cullen to Bury - 150k - we couldn't raise 150p!
unfortunately that takes the credence off virtually every other 'dealing' mentioned above

Get your facts right mcmanaman at leat 8million and he wouldn't go to hull. Rhodes why would blackburn lose 4million. Nick powell maybe but dowt it. Guidetti in your dreams hell go to a bigger foreign club. maloney 3 million in your dreams he will go to a bigger club with wigan relegated. Walters no. Welles could but why would they want him?

Bury to spend £150k?

Ah! Me ribs!

We don't have 150 Pence pal!

Can not see mclean joining notts we can't afford a proper striker

With the amount of replies to this rumour.

We can confirm it is a load of rubbish that a Hull fan came up with as his dream summer.

Oh derby fan here. No chance we are paying 1 million for Fryatt, you are looking to offload him from the wage bill.

Why would wolves pay 1 million for Simpson when he's out of contract?

Wigan don't own scharner. Just saying? also, McManaman is bieng heavily linked with liverpool

Wouldnt have devitt back he was complete rubbish. £2 million for Nahki Wells is too little.

16 May 2013 19:57:21
I don't know what's funnier! Bury to spend £150k or anyone thinking Cullen is worth that much! You should be on the comedy channel!

15 May 2013 11:53:46
Sheffield Wednesday are offering Lee Martin a 4 week trial after he was released by Ipswich

4 week trial. Is He Guilty?

FREE LEE MARTIN HE'S INNOCENT

16 May 2013 18:47:48
He has certainly been guilty of some abject displays this season.

15 May 2013 11:29:47
Sheffield Wednesday interested in paddy madden

Hes decent but whether he be gud in champ idk

15 May 2013 00:54:38
Bolton have signed young Sheffield Wednesday full back hayden white and young millwall striker conor Wilkinson.

We at owls know its true with white speed but that's all.

I've just read up about both players in the local press (I won't mention where the editor doesn't like it lol). Both have raive reviews and are young players. I hope these are not the two players that the fuss has been about in the local & national press Freedman had lined up by the end of the month. No disrespect to the lads but not the exciting signings we were all expecting.

Don't worry mate, you team ain't done bad you've signed two young promsing striker for basically nothing and the transfer season ain't even open.

14 May 2013 17:51:36
Sheffield Wednesday are keeping tabs on former Derby goalkeeper Frank Fielding.

Why is he a former derby goal keeper? He still 1year on his contract

Former!

He's still a Derby County player.

14 May 2013 17:30:46
Sheffield Wednesday are in talks with former Chesterfield, Southampton and Bolton striker Kevin Davies and hope to tie down the 36 year old on a one year deal.

Awful what bolton did to him

14 May 2013 13:19:07
Michael Chopra supposedly in talks with Rotherham United. However, other teams have shown an interest like Sheffield Wednesday, Doncaster, Huddersfield and Bournemouth.

Probably not bournemouth there's no race course nearest one would be Salisbury or Newbury

Wonder if chops will have a pony on it he loves a flutter

Don't want him, he be in bookies all time :)

13 May 2013 14:34:57
kevin davies is set to join mk dons on a free transfer after a faliure to agree terms with sheffield wednesday following his release from bolton

His wages would be too high for us. Plus he'd surely get a championship club sooner or later.

13 May 2013 10:57:19
Paul Dickov (Former Oldham Manager & Manchester City Striker) Has Been Spotted At The Keepmoat Stadium For "Advanced Talks" About The Management Position At Doncaster Rovers.

He Is The Favourite To Take Over From Bryan Flynn, While Other Candidates Are:

Kenny Jackett - Former Millwall Manager, Decent Manager At Championship Level - Previous Club: Millwall FC

Paul Sturrock - Vast Experience At Championship Level, Having Managed Sheffield Wednesday And Plymouth Argyle In The Championship - Previous Club: Southend United

Neil Warnock - Has Stated His Interest In The Job But Is One Of The Lesser Favoured Candidates - Previous Club: Leeds United

Martin Allen - Not Much Championship Experience, Least Favoured Candidate Having Guided Gillingham To Promotion In The 2012/13 Season - Previous Club: N/A (Still At Gillingham)

RM Shaks!

Hope Warnock gets it and takes all the dross he signed for Leeds with him.

Haha I feel for donny if dickov has half a chance because he can talk the talk. So he might be able to blag himself into management again. He was out of his depth at oldham so I can't see it happening

Paul Sturrock would be good manager for Doncaster And is a top guy to.

12 May 2013 17:28:55
Leyton Orient have held talks with Julian Bennett who's about to be released by Sheffield Wednesday

Believe this if you want but I know this romour is false as yesterday me and my mates were talking to him in compton acres park (nottingham park) and he did admit he's leaving but he also said he's staying in midlands and btw he came to the park with his son and wife I spokk to julien this morning as he gave me his xbox gamertag

He WANTS to stay in the Midlands but none of the clubs are interested. I know.

Gary Sawyer's good enough at left-back. Don't need another one.

12 May 2013 13:26:05
Sheffield Wednesday are set to sign Jeremy Helan from Manchester City

Hope its true been a good player

12 May 2013 14:04:16
Hull City Ins

Kirkland - Sheffield Wednesday
Davies - Birmingham City
Emnes - Middlesbrough

I'll drive emnes to hull for you just please take him

No that's not happening lol xx

Kirkland staying at the owls

Havent heard rumours of emnes but I have heard we are trying to sign charlie austin, davies and oshaniwa, also rumours are kirkland doesn't want to join.

As a boro fan, emnes is s****. Useless in the championship, dreadful in the premier league

I don't know why we would want Kirkland, rather have some one else!

Hope we don't get kirkland!

11 May 2013 22:34:05
Steve Evans intends to sign 2 strikers in close season and on his radar is Billy McKay of Inverness, free agent Nathan Tyson who was released by Derby, Calvin Zola of Burton, Chris Maguire of Sheffield Wednesday and Leigh Griffiths of Wolves who spent last season on loan at Hibernian.

Billy McKay signed new deal at Ict

Tyson is not on a free.

Tyson is not a free agent. still has a year on his contract but would leave for free

Chris Maguire stay at Sheffield Wednesday next season

11 May 2013 11:54:42
it is thought Derby have made a bid of 650k for James Vaughn (add ons expected to be upto 150k). however Norwich are waiting to see if Huddersfield can match the price.

if Derby fail to capture Alex baptise they will turn too Crawley defender Connolly (Charlton also interested)

Tyson possibly to Oldham and I've seen legzdins (gk) linked with a move too Sheffield Wednesday if Kirkland moves on.

Would be a great signing but I don't think they will let him go on a permanent may be a loan

Tyson to oldham, I wish. No chance of getting him i'm afraid {Ed034's Note - you don't want him. Big headed, self obsessed and made out of glass

Ed, what makes you say he's self obsessed and big headed. We've not seen that at Derby (though we've not seen that much of him at all really!)

Frankly, nothing will happen with either Hudds or Derby until the BPL season has finished next week. However, I can only see him moving permanently to Huddersfield, especially with Pilkington being at Norwich having told him what the club was like before he agreed to the loan deal last season. Money will talk for Norwich, but to an extent, the club looking to buy will dictate where he goes.

Pilkington will talk up Hudders, but the issue is that he left, so he won't sell it completely, and they're not the same club as they were 2 years ago. Whereas if Vaughan talked to his mate Chris Martin (moved from Norwich to Derby) there would be more reason to listen as he would be able to sell the club as they are now.

I am surprised at that. Made of Glass true. However it seems everbody who has come across him at Derby says he is a really sound bloke. All I can say by his interviews on Radio he came across as a decent man

Why does anyone need to 'sell' Huddersfield to Vaughan when he's just spent the past season there and enjoyed his stay? He knows very well how the club is operating and what the fans are like! No one needs to 'sell' the club to him.

Jesus 650k for Vaughan, what planet are you on? We paid nearly 3m for the guy. Do one.

10 May 2013 16:04:03
Charlton Athletic, Ipswich Town, Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley are monitoring Helsingborgs striker, Robin Simovic.

The 21 year old stands at 6'6" and has scored 4 goals in his first 7 Allsvenskan games.

Could someone please explain where these stories are coming from. I could say that Ipswich are signing Gareth Bale, people probably would believe me.

Errrr No we wouldn't lol

I heard that rumour about Bale, must be true.

No, they're just using the tractor to collect the hay 'bale'!

10 May 2013 14:06:12
Former Stoke midfielder Liam Lawrence, currently playing in Greece for PAOK, is feeling homesick and looking for a club back closer to home.
Nottingham Forest, Derby County and Sheffield Wednesday are believed to be interested.

Back to pompey?

No not back to pompey notting forest will sign him

09 May 2013 20:19:30
Football League Free Transfer market will kick into action next week:

Alan Judge - Blackburn/ Sheffield Wednesday
Simon Ferry - Bournemouth/Millwall
Scott Wagstaff - Ipswich/Barnsley
Will Grigg (will turn down contract offer) - Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday won't sign any of these two! We won't offer the money judge will want and Grigg will sign for a team that plays football as we just seem to want to kick it long!

Hope their true for swfc

Im a bournemouth fan and why do we need him?

10 May 2013 18:50:55
I'm an Ipswich fan and friends with Wagstaff's younger brother. He's quick and a hard-worker which is something that we haven't had much of on the wings in recent years, probs won't happen but it would be a good move.

Madden would be a good striker to bring on at half time for bournemouth and maybe start the odd game

08 May 2013 21:05:33
Championship side Sheffield Wednesday are interested in signing Oldham Athletic defender Connor Brown and a prepared to offer formerOldham defender Kieron Lee in exchange.

Kieran Lee is a far better right back than Connor Brown, Brown is happy at Oldham and has signed a new contract

Absolute garbage, Lee is far more technically skilled than Brown and Brown is an ex Sheffield United player. Not a chance of that move happening.

Kieran Lee is 10x better player, also Brown is a huge United fan so probably wouldn't sign for Wednesday

Connor Brown was at the Owls Academy before being kicked out for kicking an opposing player in the head during a game, I can't see him wanting to come back but if the moneys right.

08 May 2013 06:36:58
Ipswich considering an offer for Swansea striker Leroy Lita, the striker has recently been on loan at fellow Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.

I do hope not average at best!!

nLUFC-

07 May 2013 20:49:03
cohen free? he's not out of contract

Chris Cohen signed a 3 and a half year deal with Forest in October 2012. You won't get him free.

07 May 2013 21:07:47
Chris Cohen to Leeds no chance!
Billy boy rates Cohen, he's a first teamer every week, so dream on!

Just one problem, never heard of tiago Gomez from Birmingham {Ed003's Note - you wont have he plays for B'pool}

Are you serious! Pearce is going to go to liverpool and you won't get mcanuff for 300k

Matt Phillips is going nowhere for free he has had his contract extended

Shotton won't be free.
He is worth £2.5 million

. but you can definitely have Simon Church for free. ;-)

Gomez plays for blackpool {Ed003's Note - is it true he has a pet seagull? }

Do you mean Morgaro Gomis who is available from Birmingham on a free?

Matt phillips has gone to crystal palace

Preston already stated they cannot afford the wages of Paul Connolly.

08 May 2013 14:41:47
McAnuff will be more like 1.5m not 300k and Pearce won't reject a contract with Reading, Liverpool, Newcastle, West brom all to join leeds, only if you pay the 50k he wants. Not a chance

Shotton is out of contract

Matt Phillips is NOT available on a free

Kevin Phillips went to Palace on loan from Blackpool.
If you know nothing then don't bother posting crap

Why post such crap? people seem to think everyone is free, get your facts straight first. Matty Phillips has signed for Palace, really? that's odd as he has a year option on his contract, what a strange decision to let a promising young player go for free when he would demand compensation even if he was out of contract because he's under 24

McAnuff won't be leaving for 300k, let alone to a championship rival. And Pearce won't join you.

Deluded Leeds fan thinking they're a big club

Pearce going to liverpool and church going to millwall

Michael Brown probably hasn't even heard of Gillingham.

Chris Cohen signed a new contract this season stating "why would I want to go anywhere else?"! He's also our player of the season & Billy Davies loves him!

07 May 2013 14:49:20
Hull look to be looking at Sheffield Wednesday Goalkeeper Chris Kirkland

He'd be a good backup keeper but I can't imagine he'd be our number 1.

Lets hope Brucey can get a good price for either Stockdale or Kasper Schm.

07 May 2013 09:48:26
any rumours for sheffield wednesday?

Rodger Johnson is a Target but wednesday will be looking for 6-7 first team signings.

As for the contract situations Buxton will be offered a deal as will J Johnson.

The loan players are more unclear, Olefanjana will sign a contract and I believe Helan and Lita will depend on how much there clubs want in a transfer fee.

We would go down if Rodger Johnson signed for us.
