Protests at loftus road after full time, little and large aren't going to shut up shop, as they still have the ambition of a boutique club (spelling) the fans don't want a club where rich people want to go We want our club back And after this afternoons performance I don't think it will be long before Briatore finds Warnocks name irratating, because he is desperate to build a viable premier league team U R'ssssssss

Believable0 Unbelievable0

13 Aug 2011 20:28:16
QPR; What did we expect Feel sorry for Warnock not given sod all to build a decent Team. Eclestone & Briatore should be ashamed of themselfs. If Fernandes buys in, expect some signings. We need at least 3 defenders and a Midfielder, but it's going be a struggle this year so fingers crossed.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He is just another millionaire friend who has no intention of buying players, he is joining the board but money is for shares not players.

Not a rumour, Just to say Joey Barton is a thug, a diver and a tart how he wasn't sent off is a joke, talk of this guy coming to man united you've got to be kidding, the guys embarrassing.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

He should be punished , There was no justification for the dive after he got away with a red card.
The officials were rubbish. the ref had no controll over the game and was totally out of his depth.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets face it, nobody will want him after today.

Agree0 Disagree0

No mention of Gervino then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lots of teams would want Barton like Norwich, QPR, Swansea, Blackburn, Wigan, Stoke and Bolton. He is better than what they have

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats it got to do with Gervinho? He dived so what, do Newcastle playerss never dive?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope he goes abroad. He would be a decent player if he wasnt an a**hole

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not newcastle, but if i'd been stamped on like barton was (song would have been sent off if he'd been seen) I'd assist the ref with his decisions for the rest of the game too DISGUSTING and no place for that in our game.

Agree0 Disagree0

And the stamp on barton is that not thuggery ?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2011 19:29:14
Barton is a disgrace to football. Come on FA do something about him.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Y is he wot about the stamp on him

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you honestly think the two are comparable?
No he shouldnt have been stamped on then, but he should be stamped on now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a life, the stamp was way worse.
If that had been barton stamping on song he'd have been banned.
Do you actually watch football?

Agree0 Disagree0

Song is a thug ,barton is a thug, get them both out the game

Leeds are going to sack Grayson, Poyet already agreed to go.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

He would never go, when he helped wise he never moved from london, good manager though.
We have to get behind larry we're only 2 games in. {Ed025's Note - well said

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks ed, it just does my head in that after chopping and changing managers in recent years, we finally get some stability with a manager that really cares about Leeds, larry is doing the best he can with spending hand tied behind his back.

As much as i appreciate ( and think i'm in the minority) what bates has done for the club he has to let the moths out of his wallet

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2011 19:13:56
Joey Barton is a disgrace should be banned from the game for life.He is just a horrible excuse for a human being. He starts the argument then falls to the floor like Tyson had hit him.

Marky Mark

Believable3 Unbelievable5

If he gets away without being severely punished then there is no justice.
He is a marked man now.
Any chance of him going to one of the top clubs is now laughable. He will end up going abroad as all fans are going to wind him up.

Agree0 Disagree0

What about Songs stamp on Barton? You lot have got Arsnic Wengers glasses on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alex song should be punished of course he should. But I think Bartons incident shows he has lost it, he is a mental case of a thug.
He said he was punched, it was a tap on the cheek, it was a blatant attempt to get Gervinho sent off. Get rid.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd be pi##ed off if i'd been stamped on like that without any reaction from the ref, true he did over react but think song should be getting the most flack. Having said that don't think mr potatohead dived

well welcome to the prem QPR and Norwich.

QPR looks very poor and norwich you should be winning wigan at home if you want to stay in the league

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Norwich have to toughen up in defence.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think norwich did well myself, and they were away at wigan so y should they win there at least gets facts straight before trying to dis a team

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok, will leave it to everyone else to dis your team....and they will.

For some strange reason there's a serious lack of Liverpool fans on here this afternoon. Although i can't think why, they're usually on here everyday reminding everyone how they're going to win the league this year.
I havn't seen today's results but the way they've been talking up their team over the last few weeks i suppose its just a formality that Liverpool beat Sunderland heavily today with Carroll, Henderson and Adam all scoring at least 2 goals each.

Having said that please feel free to post confirmation of the result

But i'm not on here everyday giving it large about Palace like you are about Liverpool.
I'm a realist and before you throw it at me yes i know Liverpool are a bigger club than Palace

A lot of Saints fans are decent, sensible people, unfortunately a few that post on here are arrogant buulls**tters. We are not the first club to
come out of administration and we will not be the last,it is sometimes the nature of the game.
Where we were exceptionally fortunate ,we were bought by a high principled wonderful human being.

usual crap start by liverfool, well done sunderland but wished you would have beaten the scousemen.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Totally agree mate they will finish mid table those scousers poor squad of players there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Trouble ahead for liverpoo, adam and henderson were rubbish. What a waste of money. I bet anfield was quiet again. shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Agree0 Disagree0

I see Carroll has been working on his fitness over the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Poor team, poor manager, s**t fans, crap ground. SAFC forever.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing better than a crestfallen Kenny. The poor little mites were tired apparently.....errr tired doing what?

Agree0 Disagree0

King Kenny has booked Andy Carroll in to have a double knee transplant on Monday

Agree0 Disagree0

Instead of going on here why dont any of u try going to a game

Agree0 Disagree0

Its only August and already all the Bookies are rubbing their hands together. Once again deluded Liverpool fans have just paid for their summer holiday...again

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen knobs Richardson should of walked in the first half Downing hit the bar and Carrol had a very good goal disallowed which should of stood so we were cheated if Brown hadnt of dropped like he'd just been shot we would of won 2 1 Alphared

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, but you didnt, it was a draw. How many points do you get for an "IF"?

Agree0 Disagree0

First of all it was ferdinand and second he never dropped like barton

Agree0 Disagree0

What game were you watchin fool it was richardson

It was ferdinand that dropped not brown

Its arsenal that are the dirty ones, hovering around youth teams trying to steal their kids. Fabregas and all the other kids that arsenal steal just use arsenal as a stepping stone, cos thats all arsenal are.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Arsenal are now a feeder club.

13 Aug 2011 16:22:41
Nothing against Cesc, but don't you think barca are a bunch of dirty thieving spaniards tapping up Fabregas for 3 years now and ripping us of by paying only 30mil for him + 5mil possibly in bonuses.

To all cocky ignorants saints fans,
What many fans from different clubs dont find fair is Southamptn once in administration have so much cash to spend where teamslike Burnley, Watford and Millwall and many more teams have not gone into adminstration but still cant soend the millions as other teams who have experienced administartion. Thes teams have done everything properly with no recognition. And furthurmore, Southampton and fans specualte about players unsettling them from these clubs. This is a veiw of many and for all those ignorant, cocky saints fans who will complain about this post, why dont you get a life and stop making up rumours on this site. Grow Up Say whats true as i just have. And reaise how teams who dont av the millions will never be able to buy success, they will have to work hard like what should happen.
from many real fans who are sick of you
-------------------------------------------------------------

i don't think you have properly grasped the purpose of this site, it's a football RUMOURS site, meaning a lot of it will be b/s. Also, what sort of player will get unsettled because of a rumour posted on a rumour site. Lasty, saints fans have had to suffer a lot for the past 5 years, selling our best players, dropping down divisions, thinking we will no longer have a club to support, so i think our fans deserve a bit of good fortune.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I agree with the fella above, as a life long saints fan and a season ticket holder for 12 seasons now, i have seen some crap at the football club exspecialy under Rupert Lowe, dont get me wrong there have been some good times, but not many, yes we did go into adminastration due to poor running of the club (Rupert Lowe) and i can seen why people get upset that run there clubs correctly but that is buisness. The late Markus Liebherr clearly see potential at St Mary's to invest the sort of money that he has but his family along with cortese are now also running the club correctly. What anoys me people saying we are spending money we have signed 3 players to date spending about 3.5 million in doing so, we have sold AOC for 12 million so we are not spending money we dont have are we, as for proffesional players being unsettled by rumours on this site, please grow up, i can just see jay rod rushing home to check out this site (no offense Ed) for the latest rumours. Saints have always done there buisness quietly behind the seens and will never release anything about any deal until the deal is complete. We will sign another striker before the window closes, if its jay rod then take it up with your club, stop moaning at saints fans, we are not ignorat or cocky we are just happy with the way things are going. One more thing, Jay Rod offer is not a made up rumour, its a fact that an offer of 4.5 million was made and rejected by Burnley Fc so we dont need to get a life. {Ed001's Note - I fully agree mate, I very much doubt players take much notice of the sites.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

13 Aug 2011 12:50:59
Right listen saints fans. Jay Rod was born in Burnley, he wouldn't leave his home town club for Southampton. Yes you have a bigger ground, fan base but he loves Burnley. The only thing that could part him from Burnley would be a prem side

what is it with theses other teams having a go at southampton, millwall fan now saying its not fair...
its not the saints fans fault we went into adminastration or that a wealthy owner was attracted to the club any club even urs could do the same? we spent years battling the big boys in the prem with no money just guts and determination got us through, we havant even spent any money yet 12mil in for chamberlaine about 5 mil spent so far.. this due to the hard work put in at the saints academy behind the scenes yes hard work over many years, i dont see any wild rumours on here cork happened as did danny fox and hopefully jay rod will join too..
its what beng a fans about the highs and the lows..

The purchases made for Southampton this year are stunning....we are building a young balanced side Managed by Nigel Adkins on-field and superbly off-field NC...what a great Chairman. If we manage to secure Jay-Rod...he and Lambert will be a perfect pairing. Cork will find his feet and Rigger looks the part too. We also have some great younsters (just for a change) coming through the best youth development set -up outside Barcelona...again a vision of our late Chairman..

People might not appreciate that Southampton FC is superbly managed now...well funded but in a sustainable way...when we are promoted in the next couple of years, we will have a young, talanted team with Lallana being our backbone...happy days

Bring on Jay-Rod....

Burnley have rejected a latest £4.5 million bid for Rodriguez - source from BFC via twitter Daz Bentley press officer.

Dream on. Saints cannot stay sustainable paying average players like Cork and Fox £30k a week.

Absolute Rubbish you Dingle Even though Jeremy Peace is a tight so and so, he still dishes out money every transfer window. We've spent 6.5 million this summer and brought in 2.1 million for Carson and we've still got to find out the money recieved for Valero

From a Burnley fan, Burnley are not in debt. Our best player have not gone to Southampton, & and when you say you are one of the richest clubs in the Championship, How much is borrowed money, debt. and when you dont do as well as you think you are going to do, and players start to wine and winge, Just remember House built on Sand sinke, House built on solid rock stands.
---------------------------------------------------
1. Good to hear that Burnley are not in debt.
2. We are not one of the richest clubs in the Championship. We are probably THE richest & something like the 4th richest club in the country.
3. We are not spending borrowed money, we are owned by the trustees of the late Markus Leibherr's estate. ML was a Swiss billionaire that bought us out of administration. My understanding is that members of ML's family make up the majority of the trustees and share his vision of not just returning Saints to the Premiership but establishing them as a real force, not just a one season wonder.....no offence.
