----the mitch report -----

nasri is all but done and ready to sign, he turned down chelsea and utd earlier this month, as his heart was set on a deal with city, he feels man utd and chelsea are top clubs but cant see past man city, and feels within 3 years man city will be better then barcelona, as they have a great squad of players, better then chelsea and utd,

wolves are not in trouble financially, and are in good shape considering others around them.

real madrid this season have told mourinho that he has to start delivering, he has been handed more power at the club then previous managers over the last few yrs, its also been discussed inside the board room to free up serious money, so if this season goes poorly expect madrid to buy big next season

st paris, manager has been given the go ahead to spend more money as they plan to dominate french football for the next decade, the next step is to try and win champs league, and market themselves globally

everton boss moyles is getting more and more frustated at lack of funds. everton get a good avg gate, spend little yet smaller clubs seem to find funds to buy players, moyles has done well with league placings over the yrs but feels there isnt more he can do until funds are made for transfers, and dont be surprised if something happens one way or other at everton this season

scott sinclair is being looked at closely by a host of prem clubs, as he cud be snapped up cheaply now, or wait till next yr and could cost upto 10mill if he hits it off in prem like the championship

aston villa are still looking for loan signings, and cud be knocking on your clubs door, but clubs are asking big fee's for there players and large amount of wages for them

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So this is what you do now the news of the world has gone....

what portsmouth did when they got to the prem has never been done before, they didnt have much money but they borrowed 100s millions on players and huge salarys to achieve a little bit of glory, when they messed it up and got relagated they went in to admin and left the public to pay the 60million bill, when southampton went into admin we owed about 2million which we paid back also when we were in the prem we sacrificed spending big on players to build st marys and top rate training complex, we also invested in the academy, the best in the country now all good foundations for a top club, all that money pompey spent they didnt bother investing anything just players they couldnt afford, even to this day there still training at wellingtons ground with second rate facilities and its in southampton

QPR BID 4MILLION FOR SCOTT PARKER, HAHA IM SORRY THEY'LL HAVE TO ATLEAST DOUBLE 4M TO EVEN GET A CHANCE OF SIGNING HIM.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Maybe they could get parker from thunderbirds for 4mill..??

Agree0 Disagree0

Parker is 30 and geting,im not doubting that hes not a decent player.but hes had his chances with chelsea and newcastle and didnt shine.if hes that good why is he still at west ham?

The way West Spam play they should get Lady Penelope on a free.

My understanding what that Southampton paid all debts fully, having rearranged the mortgage. It was never anything like what Portsmouth owed just a smallish overdraft.
Portsmouth's creditors agreed to take 20p in the pound. Why? I don't know, it should never have been allowed. And, don't forget that they owed the government huge amounts. So effectively they stole from you and I basically to get the FA Cup.

To put all these silly rumours to bed for good.
And i quote Matt Jarvis has brushed of rumours of moving to any other club. He has said time and time again "he loves it at Wolves and has no intention of leaving."
Mick Mcarthy has also rubbished any rumours of Jarvis leaving his exact words "None of our key players are for sale. If any club wishes to bid £50million and above for Jarvo then i might listen. Until then he isn'y going anywhere."

There you have it. Wolves are not selling any key players and are not in trouble financially.
Infact a further "50 million has been put to one side for further stadium development and there is still a fair wack left for transfers.

In my opinion we don't need to many high priced players after Southampton's recent form of scoring 13 and Conceding 4 in the last 4 Games, we might need to sort out our defense just slighty but that ain't a major concern. For midfield I think we have one of the best in Lallana, Hammond, Cork and Schinederlin (Spelling). And for strike I'm not too concerned after Lambert and Connolly Have both Scored 3 in 4 Matches, Might need a Impact Bench Player in which I think a Striker who is worth a max of 1 Million. Maybe names like Nathan Eccelston of Liverpool, Benik Afobe of Arsenal or Dani Pacheo (Spelling) again from Liverpool if they are not on loan or brought by another club. I would of thought If we are to sign anyone it will be by surprise. Deals reported by this website never happen except the Cork deal and Slighty the Fox deal (No one belived there was any real interest in him). But Who ever we sign it will be a young Striker located in England or a slighty experienced Attacker from eroupe, Either Italy, Belguim, Dutch or Swiss league based players

Ed001, do you really think its bad training that gives spurs all the injuries? At the mo spurs have some of the best fitness/physios around and have had many different staff over the years and still it continues. I feel thats its just bad luck mate, very frustrating. {Ed001's Note - it could well be luck, if it was once, but it happens year on year, just like it used to at Newcastle until they completely changed the staff. There has to be an element of the players not being fully fit when so many injuries are muscular injuries. Bad luck is twists and breaks, not pulls and tweaks.}

I suppose this will be Harry and Levys fault.

Just to echo the previous Brighton Fan unlike Palace, Leeds and Pompey Southampton paid their debts in full. They had none of the this 'Penny in the pound' farce. They are where they are on merit as like us they have a wealthy owner.

Frankly if the last three results are anything to go by they will romp this league. Apart from last season no Brighton fan had any interest in Saints as we despise Palace who, like Pompey and Leeds lived beyond their means at yours and my expense (I.E. Taxpayers) amongst others like the St John's Ambulance.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Southampton did not pay off their debt a rich German/Swiss did. Exactly like Pompey did with Guydamak. Don't get too smug as if your owners decide to walk away you will be back in the same boat as Pompey. Your club actually has no money as your owners have it all and eventually will lose interest and go off to invest in something more lucrative. Don't think it can't happen as that is exactly what we thought. {Ed001's Note - Pompey never paid off their debt, most of it was written off, that is a huge difference.}

for people who keep sayin scott dann is moving to stoke city he will not be moving the the britania as stoke have signed mathew upson and jonathon woodgate on cheaper wages. stoke are interested in signing joey barton (newcastle) and i very doubt there will be a deal done for peter crouch as he doesnt want to move from london however stoke do like finalising a deal for wilson palacios. stoke are also in the transfer market for a new striker and whoever is saying kenwyne jones is leaving stoke are talking rubbish because jones signed a year cntract and he loves it at stoke. i am stoke fan and i would like to see the signing of scott parker and see him play for stoke in our midfield and for the game at the weekend chelsea boss AVBi believe he needs to get a grip as we are playing football it is a contact sport players are bound to get puphed around and as for torres if hes worth 50m how much are jermaine pennant and mathew etherington worth football is getting ridiculous with money and with managers complaining if AVB doesnt like the pushing and shoving then tell him come down stoke and join a ballerina class that might suite is sort of ability better

Rumours at Brighton are we are going in for Ebanks Blake andJarvis from Wolves. Poyet seems to think 2.2m for the two should get Wolves intrested, Me personally i wish we had got Miller from West Brom as Ebanks Blake always looks a tad on the fat side and Jarvis runs around like headless chicken, i dont think either will improve us to much.In Poyet we trust.
---------------------------------------------
Jarvis would not go to a championship club full stop, certainly not for anything less than £7m and Ebanks Blake would not be part of that deal. Blake isn't fat, it is actually muscle and he can move when he needs to, he is not lazy. And Jarvis is rumoured to be attracting big clubs and has a cap for England, that doesn't happen if you run round like a headless chicken. And if you think 2 premier league players won't improve your squad then you are quite clearly delusional about your teams ability. And if Poyet does believe £2.2 would at all interest wolves then he delusional too.

Southampton has bought one and bid on another of Burnley's players, it's hardly a starting 11 is it? lol. Oh and before you go harping on about Jack Cork he was on Chelsea's books, not yours.

Also I can't remember reading any post where our fans have called you 'rubbish'. I have however read some of Burnley's forums where your own supporters have called your side far worse

As for promotion, who knows? But in the form we're in I wouldn't bet against it.

Unlike So many Championship and clubs in other Divisions Southampton did not go int administration they wher saved, and no public money was used to bail them out, on that note i wish them all the best & can se them winning the championship outright and return to the premiership where they belong

There are so many ill informed people around. Yes southampton were in administration and weeks away from being liquidated. BUT unlike portsmouth there was no CVA as they were bought by a swiss billionaire (rip), who paid off ALL their debts. They are not trying to buy all of Burnley's players, they are strengthening an already strong squad of players so dont be bitter Fact, Burnley is not the club southampton are. I for one think they have a strong chance of promotion if not this season then next. If Burnley are such a big club then why are you worried about keepig hold of your players?

Jay Rod stats Appearances Goals
2007–Burnley 70 (26)
2008-Stirling Albion (loan) 11 (3)
2010- Barnsley (loan) 6 (1)

What is the big deal about this player...hardly prolific is he, played 6 games for Barnsley last year.......

Burnley you can keep him
--------------------------------------
I don't know who you support, but he's an england u21 international and easily has the most potential for a striker in the championship. Read a book.

------------------------

You could argue that Shane Long had a poor goal to appearance ratio before last season, It comes down to the fact that Jay is much younger and has potential to grow into a bigger and better player. Also if your using those stats to make out that Jay-Rod is poor. What about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain? He was bought for that price because of his age and potential just like Jay will go for a high price because of his age and potential
.........................................
I'm very sure that Jay rod never played 70 games in 2007...Burnley didn't play 70 times

Send him to the SPL

This is meant to be a roumour site, Why the hell are prople going on about Pompey and them up the road going into admin. It's old news, Just like the majority of clubs of have / had a benefactor at the helm, when/ if they pull the plug on finances it's the name of the club, the fans that get defaced, not the numpties who put them in the position. West Ham, are not financially safe and if they don't get promoted could be next to go into admin. But things will only change when a big club goes into admin, remember Liverpool we're close. Anyway rumopurs only please. {Ed001's Note - it is also a banter site.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0
