Frederic Veseli has also joined on trial however MM looks likely to position him as a full-back instead of his trademark centre-back ability.

Bongani Khumalo is closing in on signing a loan deal from Tottenham.

The signing of Wolves pair Christophe Berra and Richard Stearman looks increasingly less likely after MM made it public that he is watching Manchester United defender Scott Wooton.

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has revealed Andy Carroll will NOT be available for the start of the new season. He also revealed there has been no interest in Dorrans and we are unable to afford Downing, although he is a player Sam would like. Its become apparent that with 3 weeks to go until the start of the season West ham have no out and out striker. A work permit is being considered for Duvan Zapata, however, this isn;t a guarantee and with time running out, Sam needs to get a striker in and quick so he can settle and get to know his team mates before the first game. COuld well be a last day desperate measure as usual by Sam and bring in Di Franco at this rate
