Simon Francis will leave Charlton in the coming days and move to Crystal Palace. Palace are keen to bring in another defender to push them into a play off contention spot and believes Francis has what it takes to push them into that ideal position after playing for Sheffield United and Bradford City in the Championship.

Are they doing relegation play offs in the championship now? I assure you, Palarse won't finish higher than 21st

wesley sneijder is not coming to utd from fergie's mouth at press confrence on USA tour he says forget about signing him.

my worry now is who the hell we gona sign if he is serious about challanging barslona we need world class players the likes of anderson, gibson and the others there are not up to it.

not sure there is anyone out there willing to move to the premier league of the class we need no good just buying everyone like city have done they need to be the best.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Im a sunderland supporter and dont think ye can buy anybody to worry bacelona i backed man utd to win the game as thought there odds were good value and in all my time of watching football dont think i have ever seen english champions outclassed like that since villa won european cup and had one attack still nailed on to win the league this season but think ye gotta watch out for ye scouse mates in next couple seasons

"mighty chris iwelumo to the hornets done deal"

indeed it is. Mighty, indeed he isn't. The clue that the clarets are letting him go on a free even though he has 2 years of contract to run shows that he's that bad we just want him of the wage bill. Chips a goal or two now and then but he's a target man that doesn't win headers, can't run or hold the ball up.

Bristol City may look at Shane O'Connor of Ipswich FC as competition for Jamie McAllister at left back. With only one year left on his contract and having been left out of the Ipswich squad for their pre-season tour, the NI U21 International would seem surplus to requirements at Portman Road.

Good shout I am a B city fan living in suffolk and the lad has been left out of paul jewels plans and put in trianing with the juniors at ipswich -Can't understand it -as he was one of the better players under Keane -right age and would be good competition for McAllister. Bring it on

Due to chelsea's underhand tactics when poaching frank arnesan, this being one of the reasons levy will not sell
Modric to chelsea, if levy sanctions the players request to leave the club levy will sell to most other clubs but not to chelsea, the offer will then be placed in front of modric with the "you wanted to leave, we've found a club we're happy to do business with, they meet your requirements of champions league so either take it or shut up and get on with your job in hand", but he will not be pulling on a chelsea shirt

SOUTHAMPTON will be signing 2 players this week as stated on the official web site....
Lots of names going around but the chairman always keeps his cards close to his chest so every name mentioned is only a rumour. They had a 3.25m bid for sharp excepted but pulled out due to the players wage demand so expect a player similar to that....

holloway loan bristol rovers
nicky hunt 50,000 bristol rovers.
johnson & stewart 700,000 derby.
woolford millwall 300, 00????
I KNOW MAYNARD PERSONALLY AND HE WILL SIGN A NEW CONTRACT . UNLESS A CHMPIONSHIP CLUB NOT DOOMED FOR RELEGATION COME IN . LIKE LIVERPOOL, EVERTON AND QPR.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Haha why wud liverpool or everton go for him

Agree1 Disagree1

Your chairman will sell him because he only has a year left on his contract 4-5million today or F*ck all in 12 months...If he was going to sign one he would of done it by now..No premier clubs going to buy Maynard so he will go to a championship side...If you had loads of money you would be splasing the cash and you are deffinatley not splashing the cash so that suggests you need the money to buy players...Kiss your boyfriend goodbye cause he will be off very soon...

Agree2 Disagree0

I wish fans of championship clubs, would stop talking about signing David Goodwillie. He is to good to sign for any of you.And has offers on the table, from EPL and a German club and Rangers, were he gets champions league football with any luck.If we make it that far.Why would he want to play in the championship?

Agree1 Disagree0

Y'huh, Danns turned down a move to Rangers to play for Leicester - the Championship is a better league than the two horse race North of the border y'see. We know it and so do the sweaties, they hate the fact though, shame.

Agree1 Disagree1

Rangers & celtic would strugle in league 1

Agree0 Disagree0

To good bet that's what people thought of kris boyd and he only did ok at forest

Agree0 Disagree0

Bristol City are broke and need to offload players to balance the books , the village green has taken its toll and players also want out The GAS to become the dominant force in Bristol after thier resurgance up the leagues Real Bristolians support the GAS

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers and Celtic will be out of Europe in the blink of an eye and revert back to beating each other 4 times a season (minus cup games) . They will as usual finish 1st and 2nd respectively as there is no other competition in the league. It would be good to see them in the Championship to put the argument to bed once and for all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Danns turned down Rangers. As he knew he was only coming as a squad player. And would find it hard to get in the team. With Davis, McCulloch, ahead of him.And even Ness who was one of the best players at the club last year, and is only 20.And has done nothing to lose his place.Even Hutton would have more of a chance starting games than Danns.Honestly the English do not have a clue about Rangers.

Agree1 Disagree0

We don't need to get a clue about Rangers pal, we have Sunday League and Pub sides here, seen one, seen em all. I reckon the Black Dog would beat Rangers easily, even with upsidedown dave in goal.

Ipswich Town are set to sign Peter Whittingham for a fee around £2M. Billy Sharp is set to turn down another bid to the blues, however James Coppinger is set to join the club for £1M from Doncaster.
Ipswich manager Paul Jewell says the club are in the hunt for a Center Half, Midfielder, Winger, Goalkeeper, and Striker, with Clarke Carlilse, Fitz Hall, Jimmy Bullard, Peter Whittingham, Rob Hulse, Ched Evans and Ricky Lambert in his thoughts, and set to sign.

Don't think so Clarke Carlise has signed for Preston on season long loan, and speaking as an Ipswich fan i just can't see Ricky Lambert AND Peter Whittingham AND Jimmy Bullard all signing for Town. Plus I think RL has not long signed a new contract at Southampton.

I'm not a Leicester fan (actually a brighton fan) but I have to say that Leicester are looking the most likely to storm away with the championship title next season because no one can compete with their money and wages they are offering and I expect Nicky Maynard, Heskey, Michael Ball and Wayne Routledge to sign for them because of the attraction of the money.

I'm really sorry to all fellow Brighton fans, I think we have a great chance next season with the strong team we are building, but honestly who doesnt think Leicester will run clear??

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Well all i can say is watch out all you leicester wags svens the man .

Agree2 Disagree0

Agree1 Disagree1

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I hate to say this but i'd think only Leicester and West Ham could afford his wages.
