Middlesbrough poised to massively over haul last seasons under achieving squad by signing two out of contract midfielders, Dean Whitehead and Jaques Maghoma. They will be followed into the club by Albert Adomah, Thomas Rogne, Luke James, Danny Graham (loan), Ebanks Blake, Joszef Varga, Frederic Vaseli, Lyle Taylor, Chris Herd and Ross Turnbull will complete all Middlesbrough incoming transfers, apart from three young unamed Croatian players who will provide depth to a wafer thin squad. Out goings will see Jason Steele join Sunderland, MacDonald return to Scotland, Emnes return to Holland and Zemmama move to Bristol City as part of the Adomah transfer. Curtis Main will join Hartlepool on loan along with two other youth team players, Connor Ripley and Cameron Park. There will be another four or five youth team players leave on season long loans. But the likes of Smallwood, Reach and Williams (luke) will remain as members of the first team squad. Rhys Williams will retain the captains arm band and Jonathan Woodgate will be used very sparingly as he is working on his coaching. however he still does have a playing future at the club but won't be 1st choice center half. This is an extract from an interview with Russ, he says his preferred position is centre-half. Does this mean maybe a change up in the Norwich back 4? Maybe a new RB coming in to compete with Whittaker and Martin to challenge Bassong, Bennett and Turner? I can't imagine us leaving Russ out of the team, he is far too good. Just wondered would you guys thought.
