Reports that Fulham are interested in Pogrebynak from Reading.

Decent player but inconsistent in Prem league especially against better teams. Hope he doesn't come back to Fulham, Fulham need some pace up front and Pogrebynak is not that player. That said, would be a good bench striker to have but only if he came on lower wages than currently getting at Reading. Can't see this rumour happening.

I believe Jol will be looking to play a 4-2-2-2 fromation. With new keeper Sketlenburg coming in and back up keeper Stockdale supporting him I don't believe Jol will be looking for a new keeper. In the centre we have the big man Brede and new signing Amorebiate. We also have the likes of Senderos to cover if one can't play. Therefore, Jol will not be looking at this area. At right back we have Reither and Jol may consider getting a back up right back seeing as we relied to heavily on him last season with nobody there to fill in his place. At left back we have John Arne Risse and Briggs as a back up so I personally don't feel anything needs to be changed here, despite rumours that Fulham where eyeing up Aaron Cresswell for 3,000,000. In the CDM position we already have Boating but there is a place left unfilled next to him. It is likely that we sign Tom Huddlestone to feel this place. McCarthy is also a target but it is likely that the bigger clubs will outbid us. At CAM we already have Ruiz. The Sako deal seems likely to be completed for £3, 700,000 and he will play on the left whilst Ruiz plays on the right. Dejagah and Kaka would be our back up for these two. Upfront we have Berba but again there is a gap alongside him. Jol will be looking for a striker who can run on beyond him. Rumours include Cisse, Remy and Gameiro. Personally, I would prefer Gameiro, although the Remy deal looks most likely to happen. In conclusion, I feel that we will be signing around 5 players this Summer together costing about 20,000,000 Of which Khan is expected to cough up. {Ed003's Note - and breath.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We need a player who can thread the balls through to the strikers as that gap hasn't been filled since murphy and dembele left.

Barnsley have completed the signing of former Manchester United, Notts County and Sheffield United player John Cofie. The Ghana-born striker is not expected to be a regular starter without injures to Dagnall or O'Grady but he is expected to be brought on as a sub regularly as he is a quick, energetic young player. If there is no serious injuries to any current Barnsley players this will be the Reds last signing of the Summer transfer window.

charlton are currently so poor that we can't even afford to pay a fee for a single player, what happened to the dream of 2 years ago, the perfect new squad, the good caring owners, rising crowds and a feel good factor, now we have no money, a squad which is good but needs a bit of investment and owners who only speak to the fans 1 or 2 times a year, c'mon I want some investment and I want it now

With Liverpool not in the running anymore and Porto looking to sell him, why don't Southampton make a move for Atsu, super fast, quick with his feet, plays on the wing where we're looking to improve and is being sold on the cheap due to his contract about to run out, it all depends on whether he is like Jermaine Lens and thinks he's too good for a club like Southampton, can't see wages being too much of a problem either, just a thought.

Can somebody please tell me what on earth West ham are doing. They are sniffing around Stewart Downing to resolve winger issues when Man City are just about to get Benfica winger thus releasing Scott Sinclair. Why then arn;t the hammers in for Sinclair on season long loan with option to buy. Maiga not wanted at the club so why not swap him for Hooper, then use money to get Odemwingie. What is going on? By the time the hammers get a striker its going to be too late and they will end up paying £8m for Peter Crouch

As reported yesterday, Sporting Gijon were asking for £2.5m for Oscar Trejo. West ham had made a bid of £1.7m and it now seems because of that Toulouse are set to beat West Ham United to his signing after they had a bid accepted for EXACTLY £2.5m. Yet again, the hammers identify a target and try to barter only to end up losing out. Will they ever learn? Obviously they wern't that intersted in him

Well the latest on Zapata is that it's pretty much confirmed that he won't get a special talent visa (as I thought) and it has now gone to appeal. The club hasn't officially pulled out like papers say but it's highly unlikely he will get this visa because like I said how the hell do you prove he is a special talent?
So who next?
Bony - Gone
Lukaku - Staying
Negredo - Turned us down
Rhodes - We missed the boat before he went to Blackburn
Hooper - This might happen now but face competition
Odemwingie - Could happen as well but again face competition
Dempsey - Another one that could happen but he sees it as a drop down
and a few others on mainland Europe that have basically said they aren't interested in playing for us.
Fact is the best players are bought at the beginning of the window and the longer it takes the worst the selection of quality gets. By the time we get to the last day it will be other clubs scraps. The longer it drags on the higher a price becomes because you have to remember other clubs also need to find a player at the last minute (if he is any good) and they will also experience higher then normal prices.

come on boro fans. we go through this every season. I beleive in mogga and that he will bring in a striker, main will go out on loan. vargas would be excellent if we do get him. at least we are not being linked with players out of our reach this time. shola ameobi isn't the greatest striker but he is an annoyance to cb's and a target man like jukes. for vargs/emnes to feed off

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This post is a bit hypocrytical, aiming for payers out of your reach. Vargas who was on loan at tremolo last year fon Napoli would be a very good signing for a mid table premier league team let alone borough who are mid table championship.
