Leeds Signings:

GK Alex Smithies Huddersfield 1 Million
LB Alex Pearce Bournemouth Free
CB Al Haed {Spelling} Brighton 500,000
CB Jose Fonte Southampton 1 Million
RB Daniel Fox Burnley 1 Million
LM Andrew Surman Norwich 1 Million
CM Jack Cork Chelsea 600,000 He won't go to burnley or southampton
CM Neil Danns Cyrstal Palace Free
RM Michael Antonio Reading Free
ST Craig Mackail Smith Peterbrough 1.5 Million
ST Nathan Tyson Derby Free
------------------

You don't get it you Leeds fans, always think you can get whatever player you want, smithies is staying a Huddersfield, Craig mackail smith is going somewhere else and you will only get one or two out of the your special wish list, would not be surprised if you got none of them. you lot need to step into the real world, stop thinking you can get anyone, your dreamers you think your still number one and you can get any player.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Tyson just signed for Derby for free from Forest. Why would he go to Leeds? Its not going to happen. And Danns singed for Leicester City. And Danny Fox is a awful player. If that is the level Leeds are after.Enjoy being in the championship for years to come.Fox has to be the worst full back that I ever saw at Celtic. How he got a Scotland cap.I will never know, he stank.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jose jonte 1 million you are having a laugh arnt you first of all, Fonte is a Prem player. He would get in any mid table and below Prem team second, your 1 million value of him is way out he has to be worth at least 4-5 million judging on what some players are being sold for these days, Third he wont leave Saints for Leeds as i consider you to be no bigger then Saints. so all in all that is a pretty stupid list to make up at least when you put a bull s*** list together next time try and make it more beleavable.

also neil Danna has just signed for Leicster and Surman has just returned to prem why would he come to Leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah. this is a fake leeds fan. real leeds fans like us know that we wont be even spending any penny this year or any other year. we are only looking for freebies. this person is just trying to make us real leeds fans look bad. can u ed delete all those fake leeds fans' posts?

Ex Kilmarnock striker Conor Sammon is at Portman Road for a medical ahead of a loan move from Wigan to Ipswich.

No he's not... He's going to be playing for us next season because he started playing at the end of last season... It's not going to happen so don't make stupid roumors up

So man city after nasri, at this point next year man utd wont even be the biggest side in manchester

Believable1 Unbelievable3

I equate man city to like the boy who show offs, has the nice car, nice house, fancy clothes, but his dad paid for it all, takes the shine off it a bit , if only he could have managed all that success of his own back .

Agree0 Disagree0

They are like the kid who shows offs cos he has it all, but daddy pays for it , it kinda takes the shine off it, wouldnt it be so much better if he had achieved all this success off his own back, thats why we hate chelsea and city, nobody likes a show off who didnt achieve it through their own hard work.

Leeds Signings:

GK Alex Smithies Huddersfield 1 Million - Unlikely
LB Alex Pearce Bournemouth Free - It's actually Jason Pearce and he has gone to Portsmouth already.
CB Al Haed {Spelling} Brighton 500,000 - Al-Habd, again Unlikely
CB Jose Fonte Southampton 1 Million - Living in a dreamworld on this one.
RB Daniel Fox Burnley 1 Million - Unlikely
LM Andrew Surman Norwich 1 Million - Interesting in the fact that he was a star performer in their side which are now in the Premier League.
CM Jack Cork Chelsea 600,000 He won't go to burnley or southampton. Yes he will
CM Neil Danns Cyrstal Palace Free - Gone to Leicester already, don't you keep up with football?
RM Michael Antonio Reading Free - Unlikely
ST Craig Mackail Smith Peterbrough 1.5 Million - Bizarre because Leicester have already had a £3million bid accepted. Why would they have the asking price?
ST Nathan Tyson Derby Free - He signed for Derby from Forest less that two weeks ago.

Sorry guys but if the other 19 teams played the way Stoke play their football the TV revenues would soon be switched off, because the rest of Europe would not take the coverage.
As a Norwich Supporter I am sure we will get hammered quite a few times in the premier league next season, but at least we will try to keep the ball on the ground and play football because the manager believes in it. Personally I would rather have our team give it a go playing attractive football and get relegated back to championship as an alternative to watching 11 x 6ft+ robots hammer the ball into the penalty area, or rely on throw ins bombed in every chance you get.
Would you rather try to play good football and go down , or stay in the premiership every year , become established and gain a europa league place. Take your pick ?

All the Southampton fans on here really need to freshen up on there football knowledge. Posting ridiculous comments about the possible signature of Jack Cork. You simply can not claim that Jack will not be coming to Burnley because he is afraid he will end up like Charlie Austin Charlie Austin started every game when he signed in January and then dislocated his shoulder... Are you saying Jack Cork will not sign for Burnley because he is afraid he will dislocate his shoulder?? Have a word with youself lad Clearly you all still have a little grudge on us Clarets for sending you down to your beloved League 1 :D :D :D Prepare yourself for a struggle in the championship... Source : Daily Echo - Jack Cork. Bid accepted by Chelsea. But same with Blackpool. I reckon he will sign because he will be able to get into the first team. He will not go to Burnley I believe as he has seen what happened to Charlie Austin after he joined the club in January. Cork will probably sign due to having a loan spell at Southampton in the 2008-2009 season I think and also having meet Nigel Adkins at a different Club.

__________

What he is going to dislocate his shoulder like Austin? think you need to find out why players dont play. Cork has said many times that he wants to join burnley, he loved his time with us.---------------------------------------------------

Tbh do Eddie Howe did'nt really give Austin much of a chance before he dislocated his shoulder. The thing is Blackpool and Southampton have both had bids accepted for Cork which Burnley Have'nt. Also Howe is'nt intersted in Cork, He did'nt loan Cork in Laws did.

- -------------------------------------------------

It really looked like Howe it didn't want him. I mean come on he only played him in every game. Pure hatred for the kid

Trust me Cork will be at Burnley and im going to come on here and laugh at all you southampton mugs when it happens

Ed, please give your opinion but if andy carroll goes for 30 million then surely fabregas has to be 50 million right? {Ed011's Note - Absolutely, liverpool paid too much for carroll

Bournemouth Fans please lay off Eddie Mitchell I mean seriously what could he have done to keep the players we have lost NOTHING

Firstly Danny Hollands moved for extra monye we did not have due to his wife going to have triplets.
Jason Pearce wanted to play in the Championship and we again cannot give him that nothing mitchell could have done there.
Rhoys Wiggins wanted out since January so why on earth are people complaining about him going when he really had no plands of staying.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Seems like the three promoted teams dont have a clue who to sign

Agree1 Disagree1

Was he drugged when you signed him?

Agree0 Disagree1

That's right Norwich signed a player that refused to renew his contract with Leeds no doubt because Bates wanted to reduce his pay, then he spouts some garbage about wanting to improve his squad and he was no loss, I guess that's why Leeds had tried on numerous occasions last year to get him to sign a new contract, he did the same thing with your ex GK, I think you have a good manager but you will struggle next year unless you get to buy a few players and with Bates holding the purse strings Good Luck

Agree0 Disagree1

No more nonsence about teams going in for Bournemouth players the most they will loose now is litrelly 1 and that 1 is likely to be Ings.
-------------------------------------------------
Why Ings? I high;y doubt we will sell him this year i=even for £1 mill because if, like he should, score about 20-30 goals this year it increases his value even more and we are very determined and adamant that he will stay. The ony likley person would be Jalal if we dont meet his wage demands like over clubs can, as he has stated he has told Bournemouth want he wanst and we have to meet it.
And the only reason Bradbury has kept quiet over incoming transfers is if we go shouting of the rooftops that we want this decent players there are plenty of clubs that can out-pay and out-bid us for that player

Re km, interesting post mate. I would add that spurs have a 40,000 people waiting list for season tickets while chelsea and man city have plenty available right now. Why? Thats simple, cos like i said yesterday they are both small clubs.
Look at chelsea (man city aint worth talking about) and compare players throughout the years and you realise why chelsea had a greyhound track for all those years.
Yes you had george weah and a few others before ambramovich but chelseas desperation to get these players almost cost them cos the banks wanted their money. Chelsea got lucky.
Once tottenham get their new stadium we will see wont we cos your russian monkey wont be able to splashout as much will he

Also stop using the excuse that you's are in europe you got in europe because Man City had already qualified for the CL and secondly you's will be knocked out of europe at the first hurdle and next season Sunderland will take your place in europe properly we will not rely on other teams qualifying to help us

01 Jul 2011 15:41:16
You are sadly mistaken my friend. Southampton are always reported by their "own fans" as somehow being capable of large financial dealings in the transfer market, but nothing could be further from the truth. They need to sell in order to buy, and the illusion that a rich owner will cure all ills is mis-guided at best.
The "rich" owner is making sure they don't go bust AGAIN rather than spending zillions on players they can't afford. That's why you've seen ZERO activity in the Saints transfer dealings thus far. They need to get Chamerlain, Lallana and/or Lambert sold first before adding anyone of any significance, and in case your'e not aware, thats actually what the plan is. Two of those three WILL BE SOLD, or the club will stay with the squad pretty much from last year.
Expect to see those sales take place within the next 21 -30 days, or not at all, and therefore expect to see no buys inbound. Two clubs are bidding on Lallana (one Premier Lge and One Championship club), two are interested in Lambert (both Chamionship clubs), and as yet nobody has been silly enough to buy into the completely over-rated 10 mill valuation of Chamberlain so I'd expect him to still be there come August 6th out of the three that are part of this plan.
It is known that Adkins is extremely concerned that deals to sell are going slowly and thus impeding his ability to move ahead with the buying part. A good sign of an overly cautious Chairman ensuring that nothing gets spent that isn't part of the plan and part of the actual cash available right now in the bank.
Source - YPKL - inside
............................................................................
That is utter bullsh*t trying to wind us up, Lallana signed a four year contract in Jan and Lambert just signed a 3 year one plus Chambo is going to nowhere so that puts your theory out the window HA.........

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Players sign contracts all the time - doesnt mean they wont move on the bigger clubs (of which there are lots in the Championship alone). Its a clever ploy by Saints to increase the value of their players - simples. Also you havent clarified why you dont think Chamberlain will not move: you simply put 'is going nowhere' - so forgive me if i dont beleive the rest of your statement.

Nasri = centre mid
silva = left wing, so how can you compare these two players

Nasri has played mostly on the wide , arsenal played a 4-3-3 formation, with fabregas, wilshere, song playing in midfield , with nasri, arshavin or walcott out wide, with van persie as the main striker, didnt you watch football much last season ?

Leicester Citys financial business is a massive gamble that could have massive implications for their long term stability. Paying crazy money for an ineffective manager and 3 million for a player who hasn't ever played against a Premiership defender is the start of a very slippery slope and they will buy out the whole championship market chasing their dream.
Its like walking into a casino and sticking the whole club you've supported on black.

Source: (Pompey fan...yes we won the FA CUP and toyed with the Prem for a few years but with mercenaries who smelt the gold under a wheeer dealer manager and Storrie, so basically like getting two alccoholics to run your pub)....disaster....raped us and nearly killed us.

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Apparently theres this new thing called Jealousy flying around...

Agree2 Disagree1

What gamble check the sums pal most spent so is 1.5 mill on peltier, CMS not signed yet. Danns was a freebie South African a years loan Schmiecal 1 mill Sold Hobbs for a mill plus others gone so don't think that's a gamble just yet or are you jealous. We still have 10 mill to spend so Nugent (free) st ledger 850k and poss the yak for 2.5 plus a few others doesn't equate to the stupid money and wages pompey spent and i'll gaurantee not one will be payed the extortionant wages pompey were paying and in some cases still paying

Agree2 Disagree1

You are confusing jealousy with reality. Your manager is on astronimical wages and not one of the players you have signed or are linked with will be on Championship money. Please wake up, smell the coffee and realise that they are all after a big payday and wont care too uch if you go up or not......if you don't then you will end up big money over 4 year contracts = disaster. i would hate us to ever go down that route again.....and i think you should be very very cautious about the future. good luck though my friend, i wore a pair of blue rose tinted glasses once too......

To Clarify. When Sunderland sold Kenwyne Jones to Stoke on the 'DFS never never' Bruce announced it was because Stoke had badgered him for over a year, this is well documented in historical interviews. Sunderland took over a year to agree the deal due to the lack of cash up front and Bruces desire to try and motivate the lazy player ( You stoke fans must know he can only be bothered to play 1 in every 3 games ).
Secondly, can someone answer this - If you have 500M and you were being chased for the final 4-6 million why would you not just pay it ? In smaller terms but just as relative If I had £500 in my pocket and I owed £4 I would just pay it.
Based on this the club cannot have money, and why have you no new players yet ? This does not stack up if you have a wealth of cash. Clubs with real money like Sunderland ( Owned by a multi billionare), Man U and Liverpool are buying now.
I shall let you draw your own conclusions but the proof is in the pudding

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Well said ...... Stoke might be in europe now but the pressure of it will send them down. bye bye stoke city and your dillusional fans

Coventry City's owners, SISU, are looking to slash the annual wage bill (admin, coaching and playing staff) by almost half from last year to this. An offer has been placed by an unnamed Club for Ben Turner, which is being seriously considered. The Club already has Richard Wood, James McPake, Richard Keogh, Martin Cranie and Nathan Cameron who can fill in at centre back. No confirmation on who the offer is from, although the centre back has been linked with Norwich and Birmingham. He is 22 and was broadly average (with all the right characteristics of a centre half), until last season. He was imperious at the back and carried a real goal threat for the first half of the season, before injury. 6ft4, confident, fairly athletic and strong... if we recoup anything approaching £800k (a rough guess at a figure) to stave off administration for a little longer, the deal sounds like a fair one all round. The downside as a Coventry fan is that we lose a decent player and, more so, that it may give our incapable board a little more staying power.

Finally League 1 team Tranmere to sell Jennings and Creswell to Bayern munich and sunderland respectively. they will use this money to buy 3-5 players including adam le fondre from rotherham to boost strikeing force nedxt year.
---------------------------------------------------

Creswell signed for Ipswich today, and don't think Rovers can re-invest the money from his compensation as I'm not sure it was agreed so will be determined by tribunal. That'll be about 50 pence then. Dale might still join Bayern, but whatever we get for him won't all be re-invested in the squad, so we will not have enough money to buy Le Fondre. Our transfer record has stood at £450,000 since 1994/5 and, imo, is unlikely to ever be broken. Rotherham won't sell ALF for that figure, never mind less, so he won't be coming. If Tranmere do sign him I will happily post naked pictures of myself eating several hats

Just to clear up the Oldham finances, the debt is upward of £6 million which is covered by the current owners but this is all in the way of a loan to the club and not gifted.
The deal taking Dale Stephens to Charlton was £375,000 payable by instalments, there was a down payment of £100,000.

Therefore the owners would have to sell the club to get money back owing to them so in actual fact oldham athletic owe nothing

That's very strange logic but you're right to an extent that the owners are basically stuck with the club and would never get their money back by selling it.
However if they were to sell the club for significantly less and keep the ground, they could charge OAFC a rent to play there, which is probably the most likely outcome, either way they'll never get their investment back in full.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if Ken Bates could match the ambition of the Leeds United supporters. close to 30, 00 Leeds fans hand over £30 per home game in the age of austerity to support the local team. that is £900000 per home game . appreciate there are running costs and overheads but this must be a decent haul for a championship club.

Come on Ken put your hand in your pocket for players.

Cork has said many times that he wants to join burnley, he loved his time with us.

---------------------------------------------------

Tbh do Eddie Howe did'nt really give Austin much of a chance before he dislocated his shoulder. The thing is Blackpool and Southampton have both had bids accepted for Cork which Burnley Have'nt. Also Howe is'nt intersted in Cork, He did'nt loan Cork in Laws did.

-------------

From what i can remember Austin played every game before he dislocated his shoulder. Howe has said securing cork and McCann are his top priorities. Yeah obviously Howe didn't loan cork in because he was allready with the club so why would he show interest in loaning him if he was allready at Burnley?

Aberdeen could not afford the wage of McFadden. He is on EPL wage, if he signs the new two year deal at Birmingham. It was triggered when they went down. But can also leave for free, if he does not take the option. He can easily find another EPL club, as he is only 28.Aberdeen cant even afford Natch Novo, s wages, bye the sound of it.Auld Broon says he does not want him.Cos it will up set a lot of Aberdeen fans.Aye right he would be a hero.Cos he could still bang them in for fun in the SPL.Since when did Craig Brown, start being such a yellow belly?Letting morons in the support dictate to who he can sign.Just cos Novo was a ex Rangers player? Its not as if, your filling your ground every match anyway. To have to worry about fans not turning up.Brown should grow a pair.If the money for his wage is there.I doubt that it is though. And your talking about a better player in McFadden LOL at Aberdeen fans.

Norwich fans, please, on behalf of the club we love stop embarassing us. We are not going to sign Raul Mereles or anyone from the Prem. Lambert, clearly, has a knack for getting the best out of lower-league players with the desire to perform at the highest level they can. This has brought us back to back promotions, not spending big or paying big wages. Everyone thinks we're gonna go down next season, I personally don't, but if this is achieved it will be through bargains and unexpected successes. If we do go down we do it with a team that can come back up again, and not in millions of pounds worth of debt. Debt is exactly what turned us from a great side in the late 80s/early 90s to the championship side we are perceived to be.

You build slowly.

West Brom are set to sign Stoke City legend Salif Diao on a free transfer to add some much needed bite to their lacklustre midfield.

Lacklustre midfield? The same lacklustre midfield that contains Mulumbu and Scharner, the former bagging seven goals, having the highest interception rate in the league, and being on the top 5 for MOM awards in the whole league? Long time addict to your page - first time posting.
I'm an Arsenal fan and just want to make some remarks in general.
First off, I don't see any club pimping ManU to the title.
They already had a good team and did their buying early and with precision as to what they needed. Respect. If they also get a decent central midfielder may as well congratulate them.
I think arsenal will def be in the top 4 with Chelsea and ManCity.
Even though Liverpool seem to want to buy anyone who can walk halfway straight through the middle of the field, I'm not worried by them.
Hopefully Arsene has done his homework and lined up a replacement for Cesc and Nasri. Not worried about Clichy leaving. He's scrappy.
If we get a good CB and CF we might even push for the title, considering that Vermalen is almost like a new signing this term.
In Arsene we trust.
Cheers from New York.

Can people remind liverpool fans it isn't the 80's anymore, they are stuck in the past. No more glory days. 21years and counting since you won the league

Mid table for liverpool. Avram grant to takeover and send you into the championship.

The 80's may have been a while ago, but 2005/06 wasn't Although, I fully expect that you have tried your hardest to forget about that

Thats better than most Lets face it, since then Utd have won the league thanks to Ref's and free points from Big Fat Sam Allardyce and Chelsea have just bought a few trophies

Brilliant Well done

Scousers are a mid table team, who cares about the 80's now that's long gone, they were very very lucky to beat milan in champs league 2005' milan just gave up, the scousers were not good like i said just got lucky that night, won nothing since thou fact

And Gerrard has got a bad injury. Thats what you get for carrying a skanky team for years.
