Any sale of any Southend Utd player will result in a large proportion of the money being received by the Club being handed over to creditors to whom they owe a large amount of Cash. Bids for players have been made since May but the Club have continually denied this as to not alert those creditors and it is why unreasonable price tags will be placed on players ( considering many have only a year left on their deals) because Club know a large percentage of income will have to go to creditors meaning Club will have very little left over for themselves. I,e a Low fee received will result in creditors demanding every penny thus leaving Club with nothing. Very little will be re-invested back into squad which is why Club are reluctant to sell. It could dampen promotion hopes.

My dad is working in Lille at the moment as a customs officer, and said he signed in an Arsenal player, who he never heard of but recognised, called Yao Kouassi. Morning all. I have never posted anything purporting to know when the takeover will happen, or who it will be, but I would like to draw attention to the article on YEP this morning about this evenings game against Farsley - which is an interview with Neil Parsley. In it he says: "There's also a lot happening down at Elland Road at the moment and hopefully there's some news on that before the fixture comes which would really nail the event for us.
"I expect something to happen before the game from what I've heard."
Obviously only hearsay, but it makes me wonder who he's been speaking to to come to that conclusion. He seems to have a fairly good relationship with NW as well.
It would be absolutely fantastic news if something is announced today!
