I reckon Adam Johnson and Michael Owen would be perfect fits for Southampton, both have experience and Owen's runs would be perfect for Lambert lay off plus Adam Johnson has the perfect balance with Lallana

They would be ideal, both only want short deals and neither would want to play in the championship, so they can go to soton, spend a season getting hammered whilst picking up a huge pay packet, then dump the club when they get relegated. Ideal, hope it happens... putting your future in the hands of Michael Owen, talk about desperate!

I am a Saints fan, i am sorry i just cant see signings like this happening, Owen wages will be a problem and Johnson wages will be a problem unless we get him on loan and city contribute to his wages, if that is the case then more established Prem clubs will probable get him. I think we need to look at the better Championship players, abit like Norwich did.
Dont get me wrong would love to see Owen, Johnson and all the other big names mentioned on here for us by Pompey fans, just stuggle to them happening.

Im a charlton fan, and some of these rumours are ridiculous! We're looking at a possible squad of 60+ for next season. Pipe down all of you fake fans that are getting excited cos Charlton got promoted. Just leave it to the board and Powell to make the decisions as most of these are stupid!

Marcus Bent has been released by Mitre Kukar and is keen on a return to England. Reckons he can do another 2 years in the football league. Most likely destination is Brentford but I hear Coventry, Stevenage and Wimbledon are interested.

Doncaster need to sign players immediately. The state of the team is in ruins with only 13 first team players in contract (although 5 youth players have been offered contracts also). The team could do with some experienced players to help change this young and learning talent into future stars. Nunez seems unlikely, he is way out of our league. Reeves at altrincham seems likely but he hasn't played FL football (therefore a gamble). I hear Beavon echoes around. Hopefully John Ryan can pull a few deals off this summer to get DRFC back to the championship.

I feel a little bit sorry for them to be honest as although York were by far the better team today it must be said that their second goal was way offside.
Luton hoping to get £150000 for Andre gray.

Talks are that Arsenal are going to re-sign a former player, expected to be either Matthieu Flamini who is out of contract this summer or the more likely Lassana Diarra due to his lack of game time at Real Madrid. Higuain is also expected to be on his way out of Madrid and could follow 'Lass' to the Emirates if the Gunners go forth with making an offer believed to be in the region of £20-£25million.

Higuain is staying at real JM has already confimed this the only way he will leave if they get SA from city

Rumour has it that blackpool fan maximus aka maxipussy will now have his mouth sewn up after blackpools loss to west ham.
So leicester didn't go up this season, were still investing for next season ;) blackpool will have to start a B&Q clearance sale...unlucky maxipus {Ed001's Note - you obviously don't understand finances, Blackpool have no need to sell, they are not short of money. Oyston, for all his faults, runs a very tight ship and no one is paid more than the club can afford.}

Blackpool did far better than Max predicted all season. He got it right with Leicester though and was one of the few who said Saints 'would be up there'. I've had my banter with him as well but he obviously knows his football and this site would be lesser without him as is the Prem without Blackpool.

SOME Leicester fans on here are a joke. I remember on this very same site at the beginging of the season there was loads of Leicester fans on here giving it large, Sven was signing players for fun and you were going to walk the League blah blah blah...Now we only here from a few whys that did your season not go to plan?
At least Maximus is on here supporting Blackpool no matter how they are doing whether good or bad.
