Steve Cotterill is set to recruit in January as he has been given a decent amount of money in his warchest for his first transfer window as Nottingham Forest boss. The former Portsmouth boss is keen on dipping into rivals Derby County by landing striker Steve Davies. The striker has made 67 appearances since joining in 2008 from Tranmere and could be available for around £300,000. Another striker interesting Cotterill is Norwich forward Grant Holt. Cotterill has stated he needs a '30 goal a season' man and with him not playing regular at Norwich, a loan deal could be possible. Stoke's right sided player Ryan Shotton could join on loan in January until the summer after Cotterill had a loan bid accepted. Shotton has impressed at the Premier League side this season but manager Tony Pulis has expressed his desire in bringing in another right side player, allowing Shotton to move to The City Ground until the summer. Bournemouth defender Stephen Purches is interesting Cotterill. He tried to sign the former West Ham youngster whilst manager of Portsmouth but a deal for the defender seems close after an undisclosed fee was accepted late Saturday night. Finally, Odd Grenland midfielder Simen Brenne has recently flown to Nottingham to hold talks with Cotterill over a potential move in January after the Norwegian side accepted a £500,000 deal.

Well done to huddersfailed town for there great achievement of 43 games unbeaten and your still in league 1. You just haven't got the balls for promotion. Its not how you start the season its how you end it. Lacy leeds {Ed025's Note - credit where credit is due...43 games unbeaten is something that should be applauded....and after the game against blackpool, if i were a leeds supporter...i would put my brain into gear...before i engaged my mouth!!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

HA HA thats funny coming from a leeds fan. How many play-off finals did your lot FAIL to win before you managed to get promoted.? And if im not mistaken leeds started that season well & were cruising at this stage, b4 u nearly ball`sd it up. SHORT MEMORY mi thinks AG

Agree1 Disagree1

Is it really that long since they last played Southampton. Doesn't time fly

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats why this season we are determined to get one of the 2 automatic places and avoid the lottery of the play offs, time will tell but to go undefeated in the league since Dec 28th 2010 tells me that we have got "the balls" to go all the way this time, not only have we got "the balls" but we have also got the players! Look forward to playing you in the Championship next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair last season the amount of points Huddersfield got would normally be enough to win the league, let alone finish 3rd, after such a good run i felt a bit sorry for them not getting promoted. COYR

Agree0 Disagree0

Really of all the english teams to lose i would of said arsenal, barca are good but i dont expect them to beat milan 5-0, especially at their ground
