Any rumours of Peterborough United signing players are untrue, this is at least until the likes of George Boyd and Paul Taylor are sold. Darren Ferguson is happy with the squad if he fails to sell the transfer listed players. If they leave, only then will he move to replace them.

Watched the Clarets at Altrincham and was impressed with Shackell, exactly what we have needed in the back 4 and from what I saw a good talker and organiser on the field! Treacy showed no appetite, desire or enthusiasm! He did supply a good chip into the box for the final goal but with his physic he should be playing darts and not professional football, especially at Championship level! We need another forward and 2 midfielders

It MAY well be Southend are under a form of embargo allbeit for a very brief period. One or two released players have complained now that they weren't paid in the closing month of their Contracts and understand 1 or 2 behind the scenes have not been paid possibly as far back as April. Bids have been made for 2 or 3 players since May but THe club will and have denied this as to not alert creditors who want their fair share of monies owed to them hence why Unrealistic price tags will be placed on players considering they only have 1 year on their deals to run. Possible all the better players will all leave for nothing next summer. Yes Club have signed players but if this embargo is in place for reasons stated they'll only be on pre-contract agreements at the mo. Similar to 2010.

Jack hunt?, that's just signed a new contract weeks ago! doubt it, 4 mil bit steep at moment but trust me he's PL bound soon,quality fullback but i'd play him on the wing!
hopefully he be PL with town in 2-3 yrs!

Norwich who put an 8 Million bid in , Everton
who put a 10 Million bid in and Arsenal
who put a 14 Million bid in but they all got
declined because Alan Pardrew wants
at least 17.5 Million for him. {Ed039's Note - Does he not have a buy out clause of something like £8m, Newcastle would be powerless to stop him leaving)

Carroll has been left in limbo,as once again Ashley has called liverpools bluff and wont pay what there asking 20 million,liverpool have an unhappy player on ther hands who knows he wont get any games under rogers and doesent want to go to the likes of fulham west ham or villa who wouldnt pay 20 million any way

Pompey are on the brink of closing down because of their debts and need to offload their big earners. Will someone please tell that greedy Bas***d Ben Haim to leave now. He must be a very wealthy man for someone so average and his 36 grand a week wages in league 1 will cripple Pompey. Yes the club give him that wage BUT surely he should just go and save the club. Too many of the Pompey players don't give a jot about the club. They come from far flung places where GREED is the dish of the day. Portsmouth should be allowed to can these Bar -stewards. Most Southampton fans want Pompey to get back to normal service, we will miss the banter and rivalry. there are a few "Nutters" within both fan sets but the average guys from Southampton and Portsmouth want the Derby matches.
