Agree0 Disagree0

There are always a couple of teams that start well but never last the pace-lets see where brighton n southampton are after christmas not september lufc4eva

Agree0 Disagree0

I will guarantee Portsmouth will finish above Saints come the end of the season, we are i much better side, you are overachieving along with Brigton, cant wait for it to all go pear shape and once again we will prove who is the biggest club down south.

Agree0 Disagree2

Much better side. Just not able to show it at the moment..... ;-)

The Southend/Plymouth saga I have to say is certainly sounding very intriguing indeed.hotting up and a pleasure to read lower league sides in the spotlight on here rather than the boring, money-orientated Premiership.. I'm a neutral in this but can't wait for how the eventual outcome turns out. Southend and Plymouth fans if you hear anymore creditable speculation please post on here.

Saints will never get promoted this season, all ur goals come from Lambert abd so what if he gets injured............................. exactly, no goals. also about portsmouth lets not forget that we were in administration not too long ago and only had a handful of contracted players at the start of the transfer window. so it is way too early to be talking about underachieving but i fully expect Southampton to start to slip down the table when they realise that they only have one goal threat
...................................
Ok mr skate, you obviously havn't looked at SFC's goal scorers this season have you? Lambert 8, lallana 5, connolly 4, Guly 3, forte 2, chaplow 2, hammond 1, hooiveld 1. But yeah your right we're a one man show! LOL. Also i'd like to mention that skatemouth have only managed 9 goals in total this season! Can't wait till we smash you on your own soil come december! Peace out!

so you take away lambert and u are just an average championship team, u r a one man team and u cannot keep it up all season long cause u dont have the depth in ur squad just like brighton, not saying u will get relegated, it would be amazing, but u will just become a standard championship team. DID U NOT READ MY LAST COMMENT, POMPEY WERE IN ADMINISTRATION NOT TOO LONG AGO AND STILL RECOVERING WITH A SQUAD THAT NEEDS TO GEL. give us a few more games and we will be a lot better than now. haha laughing at how naive u r, u really think that u can b eat a established championship team with a team of league 1 players and Lambert, it'll be 4-1 again or better

PUP!!!!!!!!!!

Believable1 Unbelievable5

If u take lambert away there will be another striker to fill the void! Of those 8 goals 2 have been in the cup and 1 was a pen! No doubt he's a crackin player but not our best! We have plenty of quality all over the pitch u tool! Lallana is the best player in the champ bar none! IMO Fonte is the best centre half bar a couple! Cork and hammond have been sublime together and Guly is a creative mastermind! Our lb cost 1.8mil and from what i've seen worth every penny! Now what about our reserves? De Ridder turned down european football with FC Twente to join us and cant get in the starting 11! Chaplow would walk into 99% of championship teams, Martin was subject of a bid from west ham in jan (whilst in prem) and Barnard has been injured all season so hasn't featured yet! Puncheon (a player not wanted by us) is currently plying his trade in the prem! I do not expect or want us to go up this season as i think if we stayed in the champ for 2 years we would be able to prep our squad alot better for a prem season. Although if we keep playing like we are at present and with plenty of money to spend in jan who knows what will happen! All i know for sure is before making a outrageous claim about us being a one man show isuggest you watch the mights red and white play and you will quickly see that football is a team game my friend and we have one hell of a team!! COYR

Agree1 Disagree1

You lot from down the M27 are so full of it, when are you going to accept that you support a 2nd rate team of no hopers at a poorly run club. Saints have been there too granted but we are on the way up, so get real and accept that you are now miles behind Saints and Brighton...mugs...COYR

Mini champions league! Hows your clubs doing?

Spurs so far drew with basle away 2-2, beat psv 1-0 away and beat inter milan at home 8-1, not bad esp as they have lost some of their players to the first team

Ah yes, both clubs have a great chance of reaching the Premier League... forget the fact that the season is only 7 games old, forget the fact that there are another 117pts to be played for, let's just declare Brighton and Southampton to be Premier League bound now and let's base that statement on the first six weeks of the season. Let's ignore the fact that clubs new to the Championship often have a superb start to the season and let's ignore the bit that happens to most newley promoted sides after a while, the slide back into mediocracy...........................................

You are clearly a fan of a team that is underachieving and have the need to snipe at teams performing well...Just remind who got promoted to the Prem last Season...yep thats right Norwich the team promoted from league 1 and Leeds and Millwall to name the other 2 were pushing all the way last season hardly mediocrity is it.
Teams promoted only have a good start if they have the quality to do so and yes Saints and Brighton have got it.....so go away and have a go at the real
underachievers like Burnley, Birmingham, Forest and Those Fishy people from Portsmouth to name a few.

STERNY

Lambert gets all the goals? Last season Barnard, Guly, Lallana, Oxo all got into double figures. Even Fonte our centre back got 7!

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Erm, you were in the first division last season, bragging about being brilliant there is about as useful as bragging about rangers and celtic being great, nobody cares because the standard of opposition is so poor. come back when you've got promoted, anything else is just you flapping your gums like a child

Argyle takeover complete by the middle of October. New manager Graham Coughlan will be appointed around the same time. Paul Sturrock will NOT be returning. Coughlan will be manager, Fletcher player/assitant and Larrieu GK coach. Coughlan will bring in an experienced first team coach and James Brent will give him funds to sign players. Peter Ridsdale will be released from the club and Brent will advertise for a new CEO.

I have it on good authority that Leicester will scupper Wolves in their pursuit of James McFadden. The Scottish forward will sign a 2 year deal worth around £15k per week.

Also news circulating around the King Power Stadium is that the Thai owners are preparing a package to lure David Beckham back to England. It is believed Beckham will be offered an 18 month contract worth a staggering £125k per week.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Ha ha ha Yes that will really help Beckhams Olympic chances! Get in the queue mate.....by the way your tiny club are at the back of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

This isn't exactly news is it? The Leicester Mercury reported that Sven had spoken to Beckham in the summer about a possible move (most Leicester fans laughed too btw) digging up a 3 month old story and suggesting it's relevant doesn't make it a rumour, it makes you look dumb! Beckham won't come to Leicester, wake up donut.

Does that look like we rely on Rickie Lambert you Mug. 10 different goalscorers and we have only played 10 games...get real
We are not saying we will get promoted just enjoying ourselves unlike the you fishy lot from down the road....Relegation looming for you.

Richard Lambert 8
Adam Lallana 5
David Connolly 4
Guly Do Prado 3
Richard Chaplow 2
Jonathan Forte 2
Dean Hammond 1
Steve De Ridder 1
Dan Harding 1 1
Jos Hooiveld 1

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Is it not normal for your atacking players to score your goals and our 4 attacking players have scored 20 between them, if Lambert was to get injured them we have lee barnard to come back from injury, also if one of our top player were to get injured then we would just buy cover in January. Its all good here at Saints no need for you Skates to worry, just concentrate on your own heap. also get your manager to have a word about discipline at your club, you are already short on numbers, so you realy could do without all these suspensions. Dont worry we were in leauge 1 last year its not that bad you will enjoy it there.

Agree1 Disagree0

This southampton mob are quick to bite aren't they? Loving the way they point to goals scored in the first division as proof of their obvious pedigree. Let's see if they're still playing billy big b****cks at christmas (doubt it somehow)

In the meantime, they've already lost one, and there's lots more to come.
