Business done for Yeovil in terms of players coming into the club. Johnson is keen to offload Keanu, who will be allowed to find a new club after his contract is terminated in the coming days. Johnson will also look to move on Reuben, but this is less of a priority. There are very few interested clubs for Keanu, mainly because of his attitude problem. As I understand, Bristol Rovers and Torquay have shown an interest in offering him a deal until May with a view-to-extension. George Venn.

If Nigel Adkins gives us the thumbs down for whatever reason get behind an Owen Coyle stewardship. He's done the business with Burnley and with a far lower quality squad. Whoever it is, its just about staying in the Championship this season then its building a successful club & squad for top level football in the future. UTT

I'm starting to get slightly angry now. Started by interest in Hooper and the prospect had me excited. Since then we've given silly bids for the player and now we are interested in a 28 year old Sierra Leon player from the MLS.
Come on Hughton, just give Celtic the money (£8M approximately) and get Hooper down Carrow Road!!

Becchio hands in transfer request as he feel he is not financially secure at leeds despite being our top earner...??

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Says a lot doesn't it, especially no big names will be going to Leeds.

Agree4 Disagree1

24 Jan 2013 15:37:32
Statement from Leeds:

Luciano Becchio, who has been the subject of two separate bids from foreign clubs during the January transfer window, has handed in a transfer request to the club, as financially he believes his best interests are served by a move away from Leeds United.

They then go on to say they aren't willing to pay him any higher as he's already the highest paid player at the club and possible complications with the new financial fair play rules. They also say he's still on contract until 2014 and he will only go if an acceptable bid is recieved which neither bid has been so far.

He's not a brilliant player but we will certainly miss someone who has already scored 19 goals this season. However Personally I don't care for any player who is getting paid hundereds of thousands a year to get paid for something they love and still believe they deserve more but genuine players seem few and far between.

just had this posted on the southampton forum could not stop laughing!!!
Southampton are not as big a club as Liverpool. FACT.
Ramirez and Forren were not wanted at Anfield and that is why they ended up at Southampton.
Now I am not saying they are bad players I am simply stating facts.
All of a sudden you Southampton fans seem to think you have more pulling power than the mighty Reds. But you don't!
If Liverpool are actually interested in signing Coutinho do you honestly think you have a chance?
The fact that most of you Saints fans seem to think he would choose Southampton over Mersyside is laughable.
Southampton should concentrate on establishing themselves as a Premier League club before they start attempting to think of themselves as one of the big boys.

Believable2 Unbelievable12

Liverpool have nt been in the big boys
group for years
and it will be a few more years
till they are

Agree9 Disagree0

Haha, Saints making waves. Liverpool fans seem to be getting a bit annoyed with us.

Agree10 Disagree1

You say liverpool have not been in the big boys group for years but they will be in a few years.......... Have you been drinking liverpool buy swansea rejects and they are a mid table team no better

Agree6 Disagree2

Coutinho not interested in signing for either, Liverpool were in financial ruin, Southampton have an academy only second to Barcelona and a young talented squad with major financial backing. Liverpool have bigger fan base and higher league position, the bigger club though? Historically yes, presently debatable, future.......that looks awesome for saints fans.
Back to coutinho, unknown talent, still relatively unexposed at inter, he doesn't want to go, inter need funds to replace him with paulinho........ I think Southampton and Liverpool fans would be mad to want a player who clearly doesn't want to play for the club.

True to form Harry Redknapp watching who West Ham are targetting and as reported

• Harry Redknapp wants to sign Blackburn defenders Martin Olsson, 24, and Scott Dann, 25, to help QPR beat the drop ahead of Sam Allardyce who is also interested in Fabrice N'Sala.

BiG Sam moaning about no targets? There sure won't be by next thursday and West Ham will be left to make the most of players who are quite clearly not premiership quality ie Taylor, O'neill, Collison, McCartney, see Cole and we still have Freddie Picquionne on our books. My only concern now is relegation because we don;t have premier league quality players

i wish the FA could keep there noses out of transfers deals I mean the zaha deal but I guess it fine for watford to be udinese be because that not a unfair advantage by the way am a Bristol City fan we are bottom of the league so I would probably be more bais for him not to come back to the championship it just because it is anther deal for man utd the fa whipping boys if this was man city or chelsea it would no issues plus it works fine in Italy one success story to venture from el shaarawy rant over

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Cleared defined rules on transfers loans and deferred out pre contact deals, same for all clubs, Italy have theirs, and we have ours in premier league and football league.
Read rules, get facts, do homework, rubbish rant, no wonder your team is bottom of league with fans like you

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't worry, FA don't care about League 1 so you're set for next term.

Congrats to both the Swans and the Bantams - Haz should not have been sent off though, and if anything the ball boy should be banned for life for causing the incident in a football stadium......

Believable10 Unbelievable3

Of course he should have been sent off and he should get a lengthy ban. You'd be calling for a life ban if it had been Balotelli or Suarez.

Agree6 Disagree6

I wish people would stop calling him a ball boy. He is 17. Hazzard didn't kick a child, he kicked a ball which was being smothered by a cheating teenage chav.

Coutinho will have the choice in either staying put at Inter Milan to get limited games. Join a big club aka Liverpool and get limited games or join Southampton and get played a lot, surely a player of his calibre and age should know that it is important for him to be playing regularly. Would love him at Southampton
