People keep going on about the likes of Benzema and Kaka joining Arsenal, and Higuain going some place else. Mourinho won't sell his two strikers; Benzema was a possible in the summer due to his underperformance in the previous season. Now he is playing well.

Higuain is his 1st choice don't be stupid. The only realistic one would be Kaka, and I don't see him going to Arsenal as Wenger won't want to spend 25-30m on a player who hasn't performed in the Spanish league; he would get kicked around in the Premier League.

The players I think will join arsenal:

Henry (loan)
A left back on loan, perhaps Wayne bridge

The players I want to see at Arsenal:

Alexandre Pato - for 23m I think it's a good investment, and he's only 22.

Mario Gotze - young German Mesut Ozil-esque attacking midifelder, stood out fir the part that he played against arsenal in the champions league

Eden Hazard - you all know about him, he's been rumoured for 3 transfer windows now

Lukas Podolski - bullet shot would be perfect replacement should RVP get injured (touch wood he doesn't)

Klass-Jan Huntelaar - he has been inconsistent at the likes of AC Milan and Real Madrid, with barely 40 caps between his time at the two clubs, but has settled in well at Cologne. I think he would do well at Arsenal, someone to take distance shots

Christopher Samba - big tall man that will head the ball (unlike the 6ft 6 Mertesacker who can't do anything and is about as fast as poo) and get in the way of anything. He proved this when they played us he was outstanding.

Another goalkeeper. Szcesny is good, but inexperinced and too young. He is a good reserve gk, but not a first team one. Need someone like Tim Howard who has experience, can teach him and will be retiring in 3 years time so Szcesny can be 1st team gk.

AVB is set to go for both Napoli players Hamsik and Cavani and close to luring Cahil from Bolton a swap deal could be made with McEachran going on loan there too, AVB is also set to try and get back Glen Johnson of liverpool. AVB is getting given a deal by Jose Mourinho (manager of Real Madrid) to sell Kaka for 22 million. Will he take it?

From a very very good Scottish source. Liverpool and Tottenham are in deep discussions with Bent of Aston Villa. Deal will be done this window with Spurs being the favourites.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

The same bent that redknapp described as being a worse finisher than his wife sandra, and the same bent that publicly slagged off the tottenham chairman on twitter. for some reason, I don't think this is likely.

Should Aston Villa decide Darren Bent's best interests aren't at the club, then they shall attempt to sell the striker to Liverpool, and with the money sign Papiss Cisse from Freiburg, and Morten Gamst Pedersen from Blackburn

Eliott has not settled well at norwich and finding prem league difficult. he is a good player but needs games so a loanback maybe beneficial to norwich. expect 24hr recall clause however.

Not sure how these Everton players are too good for Stoke.....a team above them in the league. Times are changing, Stoke are solvent and Everton are broke.

I could understand Whittingham coming in as a squad player. Surely he doesn't want to stay in the lower leagues for ever. Wilson to Cardiff made me laugh. Stoke ate looking at 3 Man City players and 2 from Spurs.

27 Dec 2011 18:54:09
to KRO .... a brummie fan who thinks Saints fans thinking our club is bigger than what it is .... m8 were the 5th richest club in the country, good stadium , good youth setup and NO debt, our chairman has said and i quote 'spending £200 000 a week on a player? i'd consider it if we were playing champions leauge football' ... our owners said they wanted to get us to the premier leauge the right way , putting structure back into our club which so far they have delivered... we do not need to sell anyone for financial reasons and tbh i think alot of players would want to come and play for us :) COYR exciting times, were top of the leage and having a laugh !

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Could you send use a link about Cortese being willing to spend 200,000 then?

Agree0 Disagree0

This Saints fan can no longer find the link but if you google 'cortese sun interview' you will find loads of message boards referring to it. I defo confirm the £200000 quote. He actually said '... champions league football in a 50000 seat stadium'. Going into administration is proving to be one of the best things that's ever happened to Saints! {Ed003's Note - How hypocritical to gloat in your own teams recent success after administration,yet your beloved neighbours get slated for there financial woes }

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed003 is putting words into my mouth. The original post was not mine and if confirming our Chaiman's words or daring to mention our success after administration is gloating and hypocritical then so be it! I have also not slated those 'whom i love to hate', i challenge you to produce one post i have made in that respect, personally i don't care although i do recall their joy at our previous financial woes which with hindsight have proven a blessing. Owners who had 'asset stripped' us for years were replaced by the wonderful Marcus Leiberr dec'd and Nicola Cortese. Bloody hell, i thought this was a banter page, not an examination of moral ethics or is it as someone below says 'thats the trouble with society today'. {Ed001's Note - come on, you can hardly expect people not to point out how hypocritical it is that you are revelling in success taken on the back of admin, while Saints fans are en masse having a dig at Pompey for their financial difficulties.}

Agree0 Disagree0

It would have been hypocritical if i had mentioned Pompey's financial difficulties, i did not, have not and repeat that i simply don't care. I used the word 'administration' with a sense of irony and Pompey were the furthest thing from my mind. 'Revelling in success' is also rather different from the malevolent smugness of 'gloating'. No Ed001, you are putting words/thoughts into my post which weren't there. Anyway, i love this site so i'm gonna shut up now before i'm barred!

Agree0 Disagree0

The things is when Saints were in finacial Difficulties our wondeful neighbours did not show us any symphony, it was allright for them to gloat when they were in the process of buying the FA cup, it amazing how things have a habit of bitting you back on the a**. there is a slight diffrence with our situation our new owners paid every singal debt off, unlike our wonderful neighbors. I dont think we are gloating when we say admin was the best thing to happen to the club but if we did not get into the trouble we did then there would of been no Markus Liebherr not Cortese, Rupert lowe would still be there and we would probably be in league 2 at the moment. The same could happen to Pompey this time in next year or two, they might be saying the same things, lets hope they get slatted for be happy as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey Eds - where have my posts gone...nothing derogatory? COYRs {Ed001's Note - we moved the site onto a new server, they might have got lost during the move mate.}

So thats why Wigan Bolton Wolves Blackburn manage it, The only thing they have and Norwich Don't is Half empty stadiums ans we gan Boast 22.000 season tickets how many do the above mentioned have, probably 22000 between them
--------------------------------------
Wolves had 22,000 season ticket holders last year and dont have half empty stadiums - the Molyneux capacity is being increased by 10,000! It will be about the same capacity as Highbury was when it is finished. We had the 12th highest average attendence in the premiership last year.

Another for Lamberts wish list - (E.N.F)
I strongly and firmly believe Nathan Delfouneso is exactly the sort of firepower and personnel Lambert would love to have at Norwich, he's definitely hungry to make a name for himself and prove himself, and has fantastic potential, but we could be facing inflated Villa prices. But this is a very likely switch IMO.

Why do idiots on sites like these put football teams down and there fans, when it is clearly not there fault. Yes portsmouth football Club has been mis managed. But why say things like they are hated in Europe and cheated there way to the FA cup. Absoloute rubbish. The fans back there team and should not be slated or brought into something like this. If you cant say something constructive, then simply just dont bother!!!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

There fans get slated because despite the financial termal their in, they still go on about spending loads of dosh...Their wage bill is £150000+ a week and only average around 12000 at fratton, so everyone on this planet can see they will go bust with support like that...

It has to be said up front i have no love for Sunderland and am happy for them to drop points at anytime. However I have to take issue with Everton and mainly Leon Osman, who i believe should be suspended by the FA for unsportsmanlike conduct. The call was the wrong one by Web, everyone knows that. But the manner in which Osman pounded the ground and had a fit (like a child having a tantrum) is disgraceful and has no place in the game. I except that the ref made the call (wrong or not it happens) and if the player just got on with it (couldn't help going down, he did tripped) fair play. But the childish display he put on has no place in the game and should be dealt with harshly and more to the point Osman should be absolutely ashamed of himself (hell i am embarrassed for him). Sorry Everton its the truth. {Ed025's Note - get over it mate...it happens every week, he is not the first, and wont be the last..

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Ed025 - So your point is its okay because it happens every week, so move on? Perhaps if fines were levelled, we wouldn't have to deal with it week in and week out. Its kind of sad that people have a "just let it go" attitude when it comes to people cheating, not really a great message to send to the young kids watching the game is it. That respect campaign did a bang up job, didn't it. I'll let my ten year old son know its an excepted part of the game and apparently no ones really bothered if you act like that..... {Ed001's Note - I am with you mate, but then 025 is an Everton fan so might be a little biased....}
