As a long term charlton fan it disappoints me to hear these nonsense rumours. The only first hand rumour I have is that Aloys Bertrand Nong of RAEC MONS is being CONSIDERED (not official) by Chris Powell. I did some work experience with the Standard Liege physio team while he happened to be at the club and it was always suggested that he would be moving to a london club, Charlton or Qpr were the two I heard. Strangely he moved to RAEC Mons in January but he may still be on the radar.

With promotion sealed simon grayson is to embark on a major summer rebuild. With 12 players out of contract and 2 loans ending, he see's it as the perfect time to stamp his authority on his team.

All but 2 of his out of contract players are to be released, the 2 being ian bennet and tom clarke who are set to sign 1 year contracts, whilst negotiations with sean morrison and Damian johnson will star almost immediatley.

A short list of players has been drawn up including Jermaine Beckford, transfer listed QPR duo Dj Campbell and Jay Bothroyd, Mk dons players dean lewington, stephen gleeson. Oldhams soon to be released chris taylor, is also high on the list as is rather suprisingly considering the dogs abuse he recieved Newcastles Alan Smith. The signing on some of these mainly the strikers will dependant on the sale or non-sale of jordan rhodes

Dickov has expressed his interest in over 20 players but admits that realistically less than half would join due to lack of funds to pay the wages. Two players he wants are Damian Reeves (Free Agent) and Billy Paynter of Leeds on loan. This may be false but i have heard from someone that he is looking to sign Rhys Murphy after he was released from Arsenal but I've also heard that Brentford and Shewsbury want to sign him. Still fear relagation for oldham though

Believable5 Unbelievable1

I fancy Norwich to go down as well. Good first season but next season they'll be bottom 3 for sure.

Fitz Hall or Shittu are set to sign for charlton as they want to stay in the London area.
Also stephen quinn is at the top of CP's list and the deal will go through soon as Sheffield United failed to go up and financially weak.

I have some kit rumours about the new Walsall home kit. Gonna be like the 09/10 shirt but made by Diadora. Red shirt with a white collar, white shorts and red socks. That's what I'm hearing. If I can get a picture from somebody who has seen the kit I'll put a link up for it.

Actually there are 3 German clubs after him. I posted on here last Summer that he would leave in the next 12 months as he won't sign a new contract and Stoke blocked a move in August. One year left and Stoke will cash in

Bradley Wright Phillips has been in talks with big Sam over a move to the Hammers. Powell wanted Baldock as part of deal but gonna be straight cash £1.5m. Baldock staying with West Ham but being loaned to Shef Wed for season as hes got family near Sheffield. Talks for BWP ongoing but likely to go through towards end of week after personal terms agreed

Why is every player who is out of contract or on a free being linked to West Ham. I wish people would stop making it up and get on with their life instead. West Ham my get a couple of players in as Sam knows who he needs and who he wants but it's any ones guess who they will be at this stage.

To the Norwich fan coming on are site Sheffield weds and going on about how united are bigger then us lets get a couple of things straight we are the bigger club in Sheffield not just saying that because I support them it's fact. Fact 2 is Ipswich are a bigger club then you fact they may not be in the same league but they are as are we and many more clubs in the championship

Believable8 Unbelievable4

That's the trailor trash for you 1good season every 15 years and they think there a big club it's all they do is worry more about how Ipswich are doing before they look at there own club

As a Brighton fan I have to disagree with what the other Brighton fan said about Villa. Have you spent to much time in the sun on our seafront my friend? Villa have the finance to spend if they so desired. Brighton do not have the money to spend on players wages to get us to the prem...Gus knows it, I know it and if you are a true Seagull fan you should know it! I believe when Poyet goes to Villa next week, we should thank him for a fantastic two years and say good luck with Villa. He deserves a chance with a club like Villa and I'm sure they will like what they are getting. Next in Charge at the Amex will be Di Canio, same mould as Poyet...HAPPY DAYS

Hope villa go for him

If we sold Rodwell For around £15 million then we buy pienaar around £4 million Naismith around £2 million and either lee from Bolton for around £3-£4 million or holiett for around £5m then our team will be great for next season an this means we don't need to sell Baines or felli that's really don't want to happen because they are vital to us :)

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Rodwell isn't worth 15 million

Reading aren't going to do anything in the premiership except fight the relegation battle. Reading are nothing more than a mediocre championship side (punched WAY above your weight last season, not forgetting the complete fluke results), & when u go back to the championship first time (& you will), be interesting to see how many players on "proper" premiership wages will be sold. I think the top brass at Reading should be very careful who they sign.

The True Reality Prof {Ed013's Note - Reading deserved to go up and with investment will do OK in the Prem and no I am not a Reading supporter!}

Believable5 Unbelievable10

Flukey results? So taking 6 points of the supposedly best team west ham isn't good enough? Or perhaps 4 off Southampton, nah your right we were terrible

Agree0 Disagree0

Bla Bla Bla Bla favourites to go down Saints and Reading....Reading deserve thier chance and both will stay up with just a few additions to thiers squads...your comments just smacks of envy and Reading fans should feel flattererd.....COYRs

Agree0 Disagree0

What a pathetic bitter post. The original poster should take a long hard look at themself and stop whinging away because they are jealous of what reading have achieved. Anyone who thinks reading will go down is clearly an idiot. Look at the success of Norwich and Swansea, both of whom morons like you thought would be straight down. Personally, I wish reading (and even Southampton...) luck next season.
A Brighton fan.

Agree0 Disagree0

All three teams will have to fight to stay up thats the epl all three go up confident it to early to predict it will come down to smart buys /loans tactics

Agree0 Disagree0

Reading aren't strong enough, will almost certainly drop, but not as certainly as Saints, who are frankly awful and nowhere near good enough for PL. Will definitely be relegated barring massive investment. Soton, Royals and Norwich to be relegated. Birmingham, Cardiff and Bolton to go up. Chelsea fan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea fan? From Portsmouth? Saints were top 2 all season and will survive the Prem with continued sensible investment.
