I thought Carroll was much better today - he worked hard, won more ball but was left very isolated at times. Their inability to hold onto the ball didn't surprise me - 48 hours is a short rest from a hard game and they were clearly tired in the 2nd half. Antonio Valencia always seemed to be Man Utd's most threatening player. He got me thinking if only we had a right wing like that, the centre forward position wouldn't seem to be such a problem. Carroll is much better when he knows he's going to get decent service, so maybe the right wing (and/or left wing) are the priorities). If we see any player arrive before Wednesday, my thoughts are for a wing forward, not a centre forward. Lavezzi anyone?

Nigel Pearson has removed Sean St Ledger off the transfer list after impressive form of late...good decision i think

Believable5 Unbelievable1

St Ledger tries when he feels like it he will put in a few class performances for you then he will have his mind on other things and therfore will perform poorly for you once again

For all you MK fans who are kicking Leeds because you may have got Smudger, do you think any of us actually care?

This is a guy who kissed the Leeds badge, then signed for our biggest rivals, admittedly down to financial reasons, but he still had a choice?

If you get him, I hope he does a job for you, but remember we have almost a hundred years of history, where as MK DONS have almost 10 years, and I know as I have lived in MK long before MK was even thought of. let alone built.

I still remain a true Leeds supporter after 45 years, through the good, the bad, back to the good and now through the resurection, Leeds till I die, which I can imagine is more than a lot of you people will ever realise.....

When YOUR club (which you stole from Wimbledon) actually has any sort of history whatsoever, then you come criticise Leeds?

We HAVE BEEN THERE, we HAVE DONE THAT, and I am hopefull we will do it again.

You have done NOTHING other than taken someone else's team, given them somewhere to play, and then got shot of their players and you think you are a 'proper team'?

Pete Winkleman may have money, but Milton Keynes 'dons' or whatever you want to call yourselves have a long way to go before you can call ANYONE else deluded?

In the entire 'history' of YOUR club you have made ONE promotion from League two to League One with someone else's team?

REALITY stinks, don't it?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

You would have thought, with Harry Ramsdens closing, that there wouldn't be any chips left in Leeds. But obviously there are plenty left. How the mighty have fallen. Your main rival is not now MU but MK

Agree0 Disagree0

"do you think any of us actually care?"

Well you obviously do otherwise why bother writing that rubbish? I bet it sucks to be you

Agree0 Disagree0

Been there done it agree all a long do it again RELGEGRATION apart from that good letter

Believe you me, us 'deluded' Leeds fans would gladly watch Smith come and play for your little club, no animosity whatsoever....

.. he might even cut it in League one...

but he's never going to be a serious Leeds player again now?

We aren't jealous of you nor will we ever need to worry about you, so why do you need to use our name to give you creedence?

You get on with your own aspirations and dreams, whatever they may be, and let us worry about our 'deluded' return to where we belong?

Oh, I almost forgot, you've never actually been in the top flight, played European football, won any League cup, FA cup, Charity Shield, League titles have you?

Dream on,

If you never get to the top, you can't fall, can you.....

You do realise that most of these rumours about Reading wil not have been written by Reading fans. So please stop with the insults towards Reading fans. Unless of course it's the green eyed monster getting the better of you....

Reading will not make any major signings this window and here is why. The investment deal is not complete yet. If Reading sign a load of top players on massive contracts now and for some reason the investment deal doesn't happen then Reading are screwed.

If we are to sign anyone else this window it's likely to be a CB cover and that's likely to be a league 1 player with promise.

If the investment deal goes through then in the summer you'll see big signings.

So please when you see some clown linking Reading with every player going please don't think "Look at the Reading fans getting too big for their boots" because we aren't.

After all we're just a "Small Club" who happen to hold the championship points record and finished 8th in our first season in the Premiership.....

Believable1 Unbelievable1

......then it was down hill after that.

Agree0 Disagree0

WOOPY DO, reading hold a points record. look you've been around for about 140 years & all you've ever won is the SIMOD cup in 1988. so yes u r just a little club. AG

Dear All
Jordan Rhodes isn the best striker outside of the premiership, his goalscoring record speaks for itself, he's the leading scorer in europe (fact) in any league at any professional level-the higher level he plays at the more he will score, he's a goalscoring machine-I am a huddersfield fan...if we don't get promotion this season then he will leave, but only to the premiership, if not the top 4 then everton , newcastle or the like............southampton,reading,bolton,fulham etc etc ....forget it guys.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

That's just smashing. Bragging about the goal scoring exploits of a second division player is a little like saying that your Lada is faster than your mate's Lada. Put him on the biggest stage, let him play against the biggest clubs, with the best defenders in front of him, and see if he's still the top goal scorer in Europe (fact) or if he's just another also-ran.

There's no denying the boy's ability, but some people, as ever, are getting just a wee bit carried away. Nicky Maynard was all things to all men, as was Jermaine Beckford, and whilst neither are not quite at the throwing Banjo's at Cows stage, they're not exactly prolific now are they?
Probably best to dial the gushing fan bit down a bit mate, you looking a bit desperate.

Agree0 Disagree0

The higher the level, the harder it is to score. So chances are he will score less, a lot less. If what you say is true then Rhodes must be better than Messi and Ronaldo. He'll be scoring 70 goals a season in the prem once Man Utd snap him up....yeah right!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sorry but think he would sign for fulham, sunderland, villa and even west brom aswell, not just everton or newcastle
