Liverpool need a striker, a left back and a good cm if they want titles next year

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I thought they had a great striker in carroll, face it , liverpool need a hell of a lot more than what they have already, top 6 and maybe a few dreams at times but top 6 and no better than that, you might win the league cup or fa cup, not that they are worth it anymore sadly

Agree0 Disagree0

LFC need another CM? You kidding right? A LB and another winger yes.

Question

Grant Holt's early career was spent on and off in non-league clubs and a brief spell in Singapore.

The definition of home grown is trained for three years under the age of 21 by somebody in the English and Welsh professional system.

This being the case is Grant Holt home grown or not home grown?

I am sick of hearing theses ridiculous rumours day in day out

Everything at Southampton is done behind close doors so stop saying so and so is signing for saints unless your name is Nigel Adkins or Nicola Cortese

Saints will be extremely lucky to get promoted this season any thing above the bottom 3 is a bonus this league is a lot stronger than league 1

Leicester seem to think buying the league will win it for them... It hasn't won man city the premier league the last two seasons.. 3rd is the best they can achieve. West ham and Birmingham are surely favourites and Blackpool won't be too far behind. The same old faces as last year will be around the playoff positions.

Thankyou and good night from a saints fan.

=========================

Southampton to be relegated? your blatantly not a true Saints fan. I put a £10 bet on them, West Ham and Leicester to get promotion this season. Stop spewing utter crap. Blacpool are completely out of the running now - they have lost Adam, Puncheon, Varney and Campbell and Kingson to name a few, I would not be too suprised to see them do poorly - a mediocre squad, manager and fans to say least.

======================
I never said we would be relegated and I love the optimism fans are showing. All I said was anything above relegation is a bonus considering we've just won promotion to this league as our squad stands.

Cork has had a good pre season and looks like a great capture and in my opinion de ridder was the best player on the pitch at the WBA game.

If we sign a good centre half to Partner fonte at the back and a quick fire forward to play off lambert we can do very well this season.

Not a true saints fan.... I've been a season ticket holder for nearly 20 years and am not expecting back to back promotions that's all.

Sol Campbell and Bolo Zenden was seen coming out of Fratton Park offices over the weekend and Ricardo Fuller & Freddie Adu are known to be staying in a hotel nearby.

However, on the s**t side of Hampshire, Portsmouth wannabes (scumhampton) have had a contract rejcected from Sonko as they are struggling to repay debts and could fold by 2013 season unless they accept a bid from there previous saviour & fan favourite Ruppert Lowe. He has promised funds of 50p per hour for the one member of staff they have worth keeping (Lambert) and a £10 warchest over the next 3 years

I'm a Southampton fan and some people do put sh*t on here, people say we are "deluded" about signing Nicky Maynard but as a realistic Saints fan I think that is a possible move. Southampton are going in the right direction, they have the money and the facilities to attract players like Maynard. Realistically I think we can target top ten, most Southampton rumours are behind closed doors so don't make stuff up. Nick.KA is the only reliable person on here.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Southampton are not very good mate. hopefully u will get relegated.

Ali dia is willing to drop a division to become portsmouths star striker . Dia , currently a free agent has said that he is looking to get back into football and wants to start at the bottom of the bottom

On another note forgive the " deluded " southampton fans but don't lump us all in with them. I think excited is a better word than deluded anyway. From what we have seen na and nc appear to be targeting mainly unearthed European talent ( ammal and de ridder and to some extent guly) the only people tat know the Southampton targets are the siting board so stop posting sh@@@te and look forward to te next season

anyone who thinks wolves will be relegated is wrong we will end up in a comfortable league position away from the relegation zone this year we have 2 years experience of the prem and any fan of the newly promoted teams (QPR, swansea or norwich) who think their going to finish above us is wrong do you really think your squad is better than ours? we won the championship with a better team than all 3 and have struggled to survive so them thinking they will finish above us is optimistic Finally the three teams to go down will be wigan, blackburn and norwich, i personally think QPR and swansea will just have enough and finish 17th and 16th in the league respectively with west brom, fulham, stoke and then wolves comfortably above them
------------------------------------------------
You are partially correct but just swap wolves and norwich you should never have survived last year and got lucky but Paul Lambert seems to have a knack of making that team over perform, no I'm not an norwich fan, I support Fulham who will finish in an automatic Europa league spot this year. The three going down are Wolves, Swansea and Wigan or Blackburn

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Fulham have overachieved for last couple of seasons poor side can see them involved in relegation battle alongside newcastle who wont score goals and everton could struggle if they have there usual bad start. {Ed025's Note - everton will finish top 7..and you can take that to the bank!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed if everton can start the season like they usually finish it then yes. but one of these times they gonna get the bad start pick up injuries and suspensions and get involved in the scrap mate {Ed025's Note - our squad is quality, most top teams want all our players, if we get a good forward we could challenge for a euro spot!..IMWT....COYB..

Can i please be the voice of reason and remind the people on here that it is in fact a rumour site and not a fact site. Im a Leicester city supporter and it sounds like we are now the most hated team in the championship this seems to be down to people reading to much into things they read on here, im all for a bit of banter but its getting out of control why? we have spent a few £s we signed a few players, so is this not what teams do in the transfer window? so teams have a bit more cash than others sorry but thats football, Leicester were a selling club for a long time before the take over so now we have the cash we have to be conservative and hope for the best? just remember the new rules will be enforced soon and it will be even harder to get promoted and thats why there are investing now rather than later come on football fans surley this is what you would all want your clubs? dont belive the hype

millwall a big club? since when? they have always been a lower league club, never won anything, have a small fan base, not very rich in revenue, so to compare them with ipswich is a bit silly, ipswich have spent more years in the top flight, have won the odd trophy, do have a larger fan base, but neither club is what you would call a big club, the big club list is man utd, arsenal, liverpool, spurs, everton, villa , some clubs drop in and out of this list e.g newcastle, sunderland, chelsea, man city and some never return e.g preston, forest, sheff wed, derby, and some just have a brief moment in their history e.g ipswich.

In reply to "i must say this...never have been and never will be big clubs, " I'd just like to state that ITFC were arguably the top club in Europe in 1981. The 4-1 away victory against top side St. Etienne (UEFA, 1/4 final, 1st leg) was generally hailed as one of the best performances by an English club in Europe up to that time. We live by our history at ITFC, but I can forgive you for probably not being old enough to know this.

Leicester City, arguably the Championships biggest club and certain promotion favourites are set to pull off a coup later today as they add both Craig Bellamy AND Robbie Keane to their squad, both players will be on show at the Real Madrid game tomorrow although neither are expected to play a part.

Sven has said that he wants two players per position and with Yakubu refusing to budge on his over the top wage demands, Sven has gone back to his former club for Bellamy. The wages are similar but Bellamy is £2m cheaper than Yakubu @ £2m which will offset the wages.

Keane is coming in on a season long loan, the same as Michael Johnson who was signed yesterday. Again, the lack of fee means his wages can be comfortably covered.

I think we can safely say that the NM saga is over, there is still a hint of Heskey coming back to Leicester but nothing concrete.

100% FACT.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Ahh, i see my mistake. In order to fool the dimwitted editors in publishing my lies, i simply don't make a reference to my game of fishing for muppets. They happily publish every ridiculous rumour that gets posted but if you actually tell them that it's a game, even they can grasp that it should be in the banter section.

Eds, you're either all seriously stupid, or you're happy to post bulls**t rumours on the rumours page for the fun of it - which is it? If it smells like bulls**t, looks like bulls**t and tastes like bulls**t then surely it should be obvious?

Last night saw about 20 awful 'rumours' posted within a few minutes of each other, all were about Leicester signing someone they could never hope to sign and all were published to the main rumour site and not to the banter page which is where they belong if they're not posted straight to the bin.

Do the site a favour and get real. I'm sick of seeing these horses**t rumours. We all know the bulk of rumours are rubbish anyway but an endless stream of "Leicester are signing" is jusr ruining the site. My own attempt merely served to highlight the bias being shown on here. You're running the risk of driving people away with your attitude. {Ed07's Note - So you want the editors to cut out posting BS rumours but allow you to do it because you find it "funny". It is a rumours site, hence if people send in rumours they get posted. If you are so fed up seeing horses**t rumours then stop trying to post them yourself, that would be a start wouldn't it? I have also noticed you like answering your own posts, what is that all about??}

ed have you ever thought about creating a page for the deluded southampton, brighton and leicester? i think alot of people are getting fed up with their stupid unrealistic rumours?
Come on why would robbie keane or defoe wanna drop to play in the champtionship

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I dont think Brighton or Southampton are deluded, more hopeful. Leicester are deluded. I loved the "Marcelo loan" rumour I have just seen. I feel bad that there isn't enough room in mental institutions for these people.

Goodwillie will not go to southampton because they are not that ambitious he will also not go to Cardiff because they are in wales and they got two good strikers so he's definitely coming to Blackpool

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Not to sure about that , but he would be good for us

This is my opinion, im also talking about money, charltons old chairman admitted that we were close to go into administration, but now the new owners are in, and a 'Mr X' owns 49% of the club with the owners whos names we know own 51%, this 'Mr X' is one of the Suadi Arabian Royal family who is loaded, he might not be Suadi Arabian, but he is definatley from a royal family from a middle eastern country who is loaded (and millwall and CP are poor)

and you know nothing about football my friend seeing as millwall have a rich owner. not sure about palace but im sure i was told they have a new owner who has money aswell, now sit down there in league one and be quiet. good lad :)

i see there has been a lot of talk on here about who is a bigger club Millwall or Ipswich because of Ipswich trying to buy James Henry.

Ive made a list of things to see and who win
Stadium. Ipswich
Location. Millwall
Current squad. Ipswich
Finance. Ipswich
Wages. Ipswich
Tropheys. Ipswich
Fans. Millwall/Ipswich
Owners. Ipswich
History. Ipswich
Managers. Ipswich
Youth set up. Ipswich

cant really agree with this at all

Stadium. Millwall been to both grounds ipswich's is worse

Location. Millwall

Current squad. Ipswich/Millwall about even cant argue based on where teams finished last season, both lost key players too.

Finance. Millwall/Ipswich both have wealthy owners who have cleared alot of debt from both clubs.

Wages. Millwall/Ipswich due to the above.
Tropheys. Ipswich

Fans. Millwall are some of the best fans in the country ipswich just arnt.

Owners. Millwall/Ipswich

History. Ipswich

Managers. Millwall all day long jackett is one of the longest serving managers in the english league, whereas Jewell has been sacked by 3 of his last 4 clubs, the other he left before he got sacked. so expect him to be sacked from this one, dont go hoping ipswich fans.

Youth set up. Ipswich

Both Team won there home games in the league, so i call it fairly even but based on the guy who did this before.

4 - 3 Millwall

You must be one sad dude to take time to write all that down. Get off your park bench, take your flask and plastic bag with you and do one. You need help.

millwall a big club? since when? they have always been a lower league club, never won anything, have a small fan base, not very rich in revenue, so to compare them with ipswich is a bit silly, ipswich have spent more years in the top flight, have won the odd trophy, do have a larger fan base, but neither club is what you would call a big club, the big club list is man utd, arsenal, liverpool, spurs, everton, villa , some clubs drop in and out of this list e.g newcastle, sunderland, chelsea, man city and some never return e.g preston, forest, sheff wed, derby, and some just have a brief moment in their history e.g ipswich.

Who is this James Henry fella anyway? Millwall giving it the biggun because they finished higher than us in their first season. Ipswich haven't been out of the top 2 leagues since 1959 As Bobby Robson said Ipswich are a big small club and thats fine by me We have a fine footballing tradition and I would rather support a club with these traditions than be a apart of a club that revels in its thuggery

Hull are facing a centre back crisis with both Hobbs and Mcshane doubtful for start of season, leaving only 1 centre half fit. Dont be surprised if they go in for a Prem centre half on loan to cover. Ayala from Liverpool being most likely. Would love him on a perm deal (available for 1m) but financial problems with all the fat cats still there (Bullard, Ghilas, Olofinjana etc) on high wages mean some will have to go before Hull can afford to buy. Cant see who is going to be mad enough to take Bullard on 45k per week off our hands

Reports that Leeds are due to sign Keith Andrews from Blackburn for 1m are wide of the mark. Ken Bates is actually looking at signing Keith Harris and Orville from Blackpool to form a strike partnership to ease our striker crisis. Ken Bates has said that Orville will cost chicken feed compared to other strikers that are on the market and is an exciting young prospect seen as he's not long been out of nappies. I have this on good authority by my friend cuddles the monkey.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sounds funny but without bechio we are going to struggle we need another centre forward who can hold the ball up and score goals, they dont come cheap.

repsonce to: Ha Ha these leicester fans are becoming a joke, when did you lot come so good at comedy? Havent got a clue about football, for example saying you are signing reo- coker when he's already signed a contract with bolton and saying you gonna get defoe for 6 million, for one hes worth around 20 mil and secondly why would he wanna go to a small club like leicester, when he can still play in the prem?

Why are you all so bothered about leicester? Is that because your teams are not making any noise? blind jelously I'm afraid. If it goes t*ts up for us then fair enough, but the owners want a crack at the prem so we're enjoying the ride.
Reo-Coker post before said he was going to Leeds not Leicester, so please read carefully or you look the fool

Also the Wayne routlege news internation al "first hand phone info". I assume he obtained this by illegal phone hacking then? such is the discrace surrounding that organisation at the mo.

Rant over. focus on your own boring teams.

the guy whos comparing millwall and ipswich with youth setup manager stadium ect is blatentley a ipswich fan millwall have a better manager and chairman who doesnt get the club into debt much better fans who make loads of noise and if you think ipswich is bigger then you are wrong who ever finishes higher in the league is the bigger and better club as millwall were ahead of ipswich last season just because ipswich have more money dont mean they are a bigger club unless they use that money to buy players that improve the team and get the team promoted

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Notts county

Neither. They are both as small as each other. Remember Nottingham Forest WILL ALWAYS be the biggest club in that region.

Agree with the second replier, though Notts County are bigger than Mansfield Town. What's that got to do with football?

This millwall ipswich banter is poitless, being a millwall season ticket holder myself for decades its easy to say yes millwall are heading in the right direction and i cant say that about ipswich after only being able to judge them on 3 games last season But i do feel that henry is happy at millwall and knows he is at a good club going places and wouldnt sacrifise that to go to a team like ipswich and to the joker stating ipswich 9 millwall 1? Funny. Man I went your s**tty stadium this year we given an allocation supposebly of 2000 yet it seemed there was only enough seats for 1500 or so and we were all cramed in like animals and treated the same way aswell Millwall have a better stadium may not be bigger but is better Better manager better team morale and players millwall a fresh team going places whereas ipswich arnt no more simple

chris powell has stated that he is awarwe of interest by burnley for winger scott wagstaff. However he has made clear that he will not be selling him to burnley as the club aim to be in the same league as burnley next season and it would be bad business. He will not continue the clubs policy of selling promising youths other than to big clubs to whom offers could not be refused
