Believable0 Unbelievable0

German clubs are allowed to buy him too, you are aware of that, aren't you?

Derby have fallen out of the race for Johnny Russell. Derby had the chance to bid and meet the Dundee estimation but fell short of the mark. Derby will likely come back in for a bid but other clubs will then outbid them.

Vaughan will go Huddersfield.

Turn to Simeon Jackson.

Lets be clear before the announcement. Hughes is a poor Manager. The only direction change for Stoke will be to Championship.

Hughes has never bought wisely, sold wisely, motivated players, managed an academy or developed anything in any of the teams he has dragged down.

He has no flair, imagination or even enthusiasm for a challenge. He will drift, take the Club with him and only hope is to bail out by Christmas.

Has anyone stopped and thought " Why has this guy been unemployed since November "? There have been so many opportunities for a good Manager to find a job. Has he even been considered for any?

Is it too late to change Stoke's mind.? After all it was fan power which convinced them to remove Pulis, hopefully it can also prevent them making a costly mistake

I hope City don't sign a load of overseas players who turn up for the cheque every week, that is simply not what we're about. Just because we've survived another season in the PL and with the cash injection form TV please don't get carried away with thinking we should sign players only with a mega price tag because we can! WE CAN'T and shouldn't.
We've built a solid team on workmanship and passion and quite abit of talent so let's keep that trend going.

Dear editor if you see a rumour of Carlisle signing a player over 22, it is likely to be false as Abbott has stated he is after 20-22 year olds the only exception to this is rory delap, who in his own words in the news and star often talks to Abbott on the phone recommending players and would not deny he is moving to carlisle

Just read the very sad news that the great Ron Davies passed away Friday last, a day before his

What memories we have of Ron, a great player and a
very very nice man.
RIP Ron and thanks for everything, never forget you.

I didn't spot this on either the Saints or Canaries sites. He was a great centre forward for them, both on the ground and in the air, before, I think, he went to Manchester United. Certainly, if Cardiff City had the likes of him next season we would have a great chance of staying up.

Just a quick statement from a Saints fan, and to try and redress some balance and sanity to some well meant but ill conceived rhetoric recently posted. We are not a Man U, Chelski, Gooner or Scouse giant, and it would be a little delusional to think that we ever will be. What we are however is good club, well managed with decent financial backing, good local support (not a Guildford red or similar) and a Chairman with a dream - a dream we can all share, and a future that looks to be a very positive one. A recent announcement has revealed Ad*das as the new kit supplier, and so we have obvious potential where we could compete outside of our comfort zone with the big boys of the PL; almost brings a tear to the eye. :-) {Ed003's Note - I'm overwhelmed ;) }

Jurgen Klopp has laughed off Lewandowski joining Bayern;
"I would never in my managerial career sell multiple top players to our challengers. I am building a great team here and to sell our top players to a team who won so convingly last season would be sending the wrong message. Our aim is to keep Robert here and build in the spaces we have available. "

Does this rule out all possible moves? I can see Klopp making great signings since their unfortunate defeat at Wembley.

The sentiment of Nathaniel Chalobah's twitter pretty much makes it clear that he won't be returning to Watford next season (although us Watford fans probably already knew that). I would imagine, as suggested previously, we'll be signing Badu on loan from Udinese who's surplus to requirements there, and is a similar player.

More importantly; one of the founders of football manager, Miles Jacobson (who of course sponsors the shirts & is an avid Watford fan), has also said from what he understands from brief discussions, is that the transfer embargo is simply a case of checking where the proceeds of the financial transactions go, rather than an all-out ban on transfers which are put in place following administration or ownership changes (to prevent the transfer of assets, i. e. players, to separate companies). In other words, transfers & loan signings will be permitted.

It can also be assumed if the FA has seen Bassini's 'bitter texts' to the Watford Observer, that they will take a lenient stance (especially since they were the ones who allowed him to buy the club).

Daniel Pudil has also said in the Watford Observer that he loves Watford and is looking forward to staying and quote: "will do everything possible to stay". The article states "Daniel Pudil believes critics are wrong about Watford and says most loanees want to stay regardless of promotion". Zola also stated in his post-Wembley interview "What happens now? Now I choose the players who are in our plans to stay and want to stay". This leads me to believe Abdi, Anya, Battocchio, Ekstrand, Neuton, and Pudil will stay along with already signed Fernando Forestieri. I expect Cassetti will probably be re-loaned rather than transferred due to his age. Alex Geijo & Beleck will probably return to Granada and Udinese respectively.

Vydra has until August 2014 on his current contract. What he chooses to do remains to be seen. Sign with Watford with the rest? Resign with Udinese and be re-loaned? Or Mr Pozzo will be forced to sell this summer.

Mark Hughes has a win% of 39. 53 and a draw% of 25. 91. Translated into a premier league season this would achieve 54/55 points. Which in turn would have put Stoke in 8th place - above West Brom and below Liverpool.
Stoke are not just changing the manager but the ENTIRE backroom staff. Stoke fans should get behind the new manager whoever it may be - it could be worse - we could still have Pulis.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Some of this win %age was when he was at Man City with millions to spend & players like Robinho, most managers would increase their win ratio under these conditions. These statistics mean nothing.

Dear oh Dear oh Dear.

I'm a season ticket holding Norwich supporter and proud of it. Sadly, I'm living in Hampshire (that's a 400 mile round trip for every home match), and this sort of "big team" twaddle is prevalent right across the county.

Access to St Marys is rubbish. Everyone funneled through the same tight concourse is a nonsense - same as the crazy and distracting idea of the big TV screens showing constant adverts throughout the match. (why have the screens anyway?)

If you were a big team, you wouldn't have this sort of rubbish in and around your club.

Want to see how to do it? look at the crowd management down the coast at Brighton. Look at the way even Reading (for heavens sake) have managed their access and parking issues.

No, sorry. Southampton will never be a BIG club. Not with their current lack of style. Not until they can sort out the most basic issues. {Ed003's Note - What has this to do with Fred Bloggs post? }

Southampton have never been a small, we have always been a big club. When we went down we had some class players but they didn't live up to their ability that season, we went down in 2005 amd had massive problems. We have always been a big club maybe not due to our finish in the prem all the time but because we spent 27 years their last time, we also had big names at our club and come through your youth academy, one I know everybody will know is Alan S who played for newcastle and was probably one the beat strikers in the prem ever! Our academy is the best in england and works on bring british, ill repeat BRITSH! Youth through, unlike most clubs our youth players are watched on a daily bases, admittedly some players won't make it but ryan seager seems to be and up and coming strikee already putting 15-20 goals away at youth level in a season. Another reason we are not a small club is we have one of the biggest capations of support in country, but we don't all live right next to the staduim a lot of fans live in cornwall or places like that! We could easily have 40 thousand supports in our staduim maybe even 50 thousand but mkney speaks and to make a long journey and pay the money, look at the wembley trip for example I think it was at least 45 thousands fans that day and the other fans didn't fill up their side we could probably had more that day could of been around 50 thousand. Small club? At the moment yeah we are but it doesn't mean just because we are we can't sign big players, footballers like to be playing not sat on a bench and going to one of these so called big headed person of a club doesn't mean they automatically play so no we can sign some big names just not all and we wont. This is a rumour site so clue is in the name. Look at bayern municha and BVB they sell their tickets at low, low prises so get thousands of fans each gane 80 thousand for dortmand on avergae a game we could have about 60 I reckon if we had a well built, well placed staduim wih cheap ticket prises, yeah small club, no but half of these big clubs are supported by GLORY HUNTERS! We have real fans, so nobs who say we are small, do one you obv don't know footballl or its history!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes, and you will wake up soon!

Agree0 Disagree0

Can you let me know when you release your second novel?

Agree0 Disagree0

Just to clarify, yet again (sigh). The reason Southampton get bad press on here is because the attitude of almost all their fans is too cocky, arrogant and boastful. They have no grace in success, they just want to brag about how big they are just because they stayed up.

How would people feel if they saw fans of a winning team going over and urinating and mocking the fans of the team they just beat and humiliating them?

I don't think it would go down too well, do you?

A little bit of dignity and grace would go a long way. They give Southampton fans a bad name.

Agree0 Disagree0

You must have been on the wacky or something similar - the rant is pointless and certainly will just give the SFC knockers another bullet to fire - hurry up and make mini an editor, he would have dealt with this swiflty. :-) {Ed001's Note - just the thought of max editing gives me nightmares!!}

Agree0 Disagree0

& breathe

Agree0 Disagree0

With regards to good grace urinating etc I was at St Marys when we were relegated from the Premier League, the big team were MUFC that day and their fans took great delight in counting down from 10 and then singing 'united sent you ' is that what you call behaving with dignity?

Agree0 Disagree0

No the problem is you tar all saints fans as arrogant because of a couple of persons.

Try branding the posters tools rather then the club then you won't get other saints fans defending there club

Clarkey saint

Agree0 Disagree0

And breathe lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Clearly not, but you know exactly what I mean. Yeah, you went up, stayed up, well done, but park the arrogant stuff and behave with some dignity. You're doing, metaphorically, what you describe the United fans as doing.

Bit hypocritical, no?

If you didn't brag, boast etc about the state Pompey (no, I'm not a fan) are in and how you're rubbing shoulders with the big boys now, blah blah, then people such as myself wouldn't have a problem with you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Love the comedy post, 'never been a small club', lol, always and forever a small club
