I know certain people on here don't want Downing back, but he is willing to take a pay cut and come back home. He has said that it isn't a lack of ambition coming back, quite the opposite. He wants to come home and get boro back where they belong and finish his career in the premier league. A promise made between Gibson and Stuey years ago still means a lot to both of them. Let's see if the finances will stretch
