From a newport fan, Sam foley is unbelievable, he mainly played in midfield and to have scored 17 is insane, you are really lucky to have him, he was by far the best conference player ,better than vardy easy

Foley was a different class in the Conference South where he had all the time and space in the world, but poor in the Conference against most teams. The only reason he won player of the month was because of mistaken identity playing next to Adam Chapman.

So it seems Jamie Mackie & Jay Bothroyd could be heading to Cardiff one on loan and one Purchased, Beleived to be J.Bothroyd being sold for around £600,000+ and J.Mackie on season long loan

Also Tommy Smith, Fitz Hall & Rob hulse could be leaving the club as M.Hughes wants a total clearout of the "dead wood" and begin a near enough squad build up, M.Hughes style!

Just one more thing Hughes will have to do his best to keep hold of Adel Taarabt as clubs are swarming for the talented young midfielder.

Mackie isn't going anywhere let alone Cardiff. He is a first team regular and loved by every rangers fan I know

If Swansea want to keep playing the same brand of football they had under Rodgers then there is a prime candidate in Brightons Gus Poyet. His way of thinking and the playing of the game is that of Rodgers . Rodgers himself sent his Son ( Anton) to Brighton because he knew Poyets style of play and wanted his son to develop. Jordan Rhodes will not be sold . He is very happy and enjoying his football at huddersfield , he is likely to be offered a new contract with a higher wage although his contract runs out in 2015.

Jack Hunt wont be sold either.

Jay Rodriguez did not decline the oppurtunity to sign for Southampton, his wage demends were too high and there was not enough time for satisfactory negotiations. Last summer Saints didn't sign Billy Sharp due to his wage demands, look what happened in January!
I would expect J Rod to be one of our only buys from English football this year, maybe see Matty Phillips and a Keeper with other signings being of the De Ridder type, completely out of the blue European deals!
Just wait for announcements on 1st July!

Sigh. Saints fan here. J-Rod deal last summer never happened because no bid was ever accepted. :/

He did decline it .. official sources within the club confirmed it. Jay is only on around 10,000 at Burnley and Saints would have offered around 20,000 i'd assume with their wage structure ... so your telling me he wanted more than that .... get real ... he turned you down.

Burnley have accepted £7m from SOTON, but Jay Rodriguez has snubbed a move. He wants a more local team such as everton. A team with potential and class, not a team who will be fighting for relegation.

This is getting tedious now, all these people going on about how he has turned moves down etc. We will just have to wait and see.

Few more teams have more potential than saints, so do some research before you make up stuff

A very reliable source close to Craig Dawson has informed me he is to have meetings with the club to discuss the season ahead to clarify what kind of playing time and opportunities he is going to get this season, if the meeting is negative he will ask to be loaned out for valuable playing time and experience or should the right offer come in from a club offering good playing time and contracts he will have to consider his options to further his career

Hope it don't go well as he will be coming to Barnsley as he has played for Rochdale like most of our other players with Keith Hill

A lot of Huddersfield Town rumours flying around at the moment, from a genuine town fan i beliee the main targets are: Defo Morrison from Reading, making a permanent move, Clayton from leeds has been thrown around, as so has McCann from peterborough, Daimen Johnson is currently in contract talks after his contract is up with parent club Plymouth. Full backs Lee Peltier and Dean Lewington have been mentoned.
