Richie Barker appointed Crawley Manager. On Crawley club website. More logical having a young up and coming manager to work with Director of Football Steve Coppell than late 50's O'Driscoll. Interesting that Crawley paid Bury compensation since one didn't see any mention of Forest paying any to Crawley for O'Driscoll.

Moussa Konate to sign for Stoke City for 2million early next week. Kenwyne Jones to leave for an overseas club during that time. A certain player who hasnt even been mentioned as a target is close to joining the Potters after 3weeks of talks. Also a player exchange plus cash is being considered by Stoke.

play Stoke last night. Crouchie played.
He was awful! I saw two exciting
youngsters in Billy Bodin and Danny
Stevens. Now I know that Bodin has
signed for them from Swindle Town,
but what a player! Same goes to
Danny Stevens, a good winger. I also
saw two Championship scouts (Wolves)
and (Cardiff) at Plainmoor, and when
Stevens came off at half time, the
scouts left! Could Stevens be playing
in the Championship?

Pablo Hernandez signing for Swansea from Valencia for 6m, Valencia's asking price is nearer the 10m mark but due to the financial strain on all La Liga clubs, they will accept a total payment of 6m.

Bristol Rovers head of youth Ken Oram is leaving the club. One the most promising young players he has helped develop, Shaquille Hunter, was publicly criticised by manager Mark McGhee after Saturdays defeat at Bristol City. The teenager suffered an injury late in the second half but McGhee was reluctant to let him leave the pitch and afterwards said he thought it was more a case of hurt pride. Hunter is expected to be out of action for 6 - 8 weeks.
