im getting annoyed with people saying arsenal have agreed a fee for samir nasri Do you really think they would have taken him on the tour if a fee was agreed? What if he was to get injured? stop talking rubbish folks. think bendtnar and almunia might be on the way out tho as they have been omitted from the squad.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You will have to be annoyed wont you? Silly little boy. If Nasri just came out and stated his intentions then non of this guesswork would occur. Stop defending these players all the time. idiot.

as a Celtic fan living abroad unfortunately i have no singing romours for you Gers fans but on watcing the celtic game today via the net, Lovens is still a donkey i woudnt be to upset by the rangers defensive issues i have seen it al before, the real work starts in 2/3 weeks, what we need is 2 stromg teams in Europe to generate maximum revenue, like or lump as they say, we can debate on every plyer till the window closes, but mainly all paper talk, lets have a good season driving media interest for the right reasons.

WARNING: mike ashley billionaire has shares in numerous businesses owns a football club that he has become bored with, as he knows he has taken them as far as he can. also knows that he is not going to run the club at a loss as the sale would then come non viable so no big signings will be made as he needs to keep the wage bill down. he also knows that no matter where they finish in the league he will still have a full house as the fans are still living in the days of kk and kd so no reason to take a gamble on players. he will scour the lower leagues and small foreign clubs looking for young talent who he hopes will show improvement and sell them on at a profit with the money going into his retail business and not the club. this man is one very greedy individual so beware if he tries to buy into your club after the sale of newcastle, try and do everything you can to stop him as this could seriously damage your clubs improvement.

There always seems to be a lot of negativity on this site and from previous transfer windows i think some of this negativity is warranted but look at some of the big money signings weve made in the past have been a disaster. MA has made mistakes in the past but i think he has learnt from these and i feel that the club is moving in the right direction. He seems to have come to terms with the idea that he doesnt know as much about running a club as first thought and now looks to be applying more of his business skills than football knowledge and seems to be building a team for the future. To do this he must add the right amount of Big game experienced players. We have to have a little faith as there is a long way to go in this transfer window and so far our new recriuts look excellent so lets wait for this window to close before we judge and i have a feeling we will be pleasantly surprised by the time we take on and soundly beat arsenal

Malaga are the real team to be watching in the transfer window:

They bid 35 million euros for Wesley Sneijder and have Didier Drogba, Emmanual Adebayor, Carlos Tevez, Lucio Hugo Lloris and many more. Imagine the team:

Lloris
Demichelis
Lucio
Mathijsen
Joaquin
Toulalan
Buoanette
Sneijder
Duda
Van Nistelrooy
Tevez/Adebayor/Drogba

Baptista Maresca Gamas Sergio Sanchez etc on the bench

Even as a Watford fan - i know that this is complete crap
The team in the championship storing up debt problems is Brighton - new stadiums and players have to be paid for
Any seagull fancying a bet that you will be in administration within 3 years - feel free to contact me

If I were you I would worry about Watford as they seem to be selling there best players and are favourites to be playing in league one next season. As for Brighton the stadium was paid for by the chairman and owner on an interest free loan. They have also sold 18500 season tickets, so have money to spend on new players. Tony bloom made his fortune from selling his online betting company and is also one of the best poker players in the world. So Brighton are owned by a rich business man and loves the club. Also in the process of spending another 15 million on new training facilities. So get your facts right as I think both Watford and palace will be in league one next year. Oh yes just one more thing thanks for selling us will Buckley.

Spurs fans dont expect any signings until the last minute of the window. Seeing as Harry Has far too many players on the books he has admitted they need to sell before they can buy anyone. Obviously teams will wait for a bargain price before the window closes leaving Harry with a smaller squad and only time for a panic buy. My money is on Carlton Cole arriving at the last minute and then all Spurs top players leaving in January. Go on tell me im wrong.

wenger's recent press statement makes it very clear that there will not be a massive influx of players at Arsenal. He still thinks Arsenal were "very close" to taking silverware last season, and only "one or two more signings" are needed.

He may mean one or two on top of Gervinho (who he said was very close to signing a deal), so do not expect more than 3 coming in.

GK - Szczesny to take no.1 spot
LB - Gibbs to be used with Traore as cover

CB - signing to be made - Wenger will not meet Cahill asking price, maybe Samba if less than 10m can be negotiated.

DCM - no extra signings, Denilson may leave but Frimpong will be promoted to 1st team as extra cover

AM/WF - Gervinho to sign before Asian tour, remote possibility of another one coming in if both Nasri and Fabregas leave. Disappointingly, this would be someone like Mathieu Valbuena.

CF - Very slim chance of a signing with Bendtner leaving, only if Wenger can find a financially viable deal. MAYBE benzema if less than 30m can be negotiated and he doesnt want much more than 100,000 a week (very unlikely).

It is still very unclear exactly which players will be targeted, but do not get over-excited about anything more than Gervinho, one CB and maybe a CF unless more players are offloaded. I hope (at least for this transfer window) that I am wrong, but it is very unlikely that Wenger will ever dramatically change his transfer policy.

How many times have the inbred's at forest and leicester got to be told that nicky maynard will not be sold to another championship club. Three times the chairman has said we won't sell to another rival. You could offer 2o mill it would make on differance as its not about the money. It's all very well leicester buying all these top name players but its only a matter of time before there will be in fighting in the team and club goes bust and sven walks out on you. Promotion your'e having a laugh

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I 100% agree, leicester will definitely not be signing maynard and will also definitely not at automatic promotion... west ham and cardiffe has got a better squad of players for a start, even brighton got better strikers thn leicester, can't believe you bought nugent lucky if he bags you 10 goals a season

Agree1 Disagree0

If you live in the real world you will know that players decide who moves, the minute Maynard decides the temptation of £25k wk at Leicester is to much to turn down he will slap in transfer request.
My bet is he is going in the transfer window, your chairmen is just waiting to cash in on the highest price.

Why does Wenger take so long? Arsenal need to ditch the deadwood and bring in some quality
Outs:
Bendtner £10M
Denilson (anywhere, any fee just get rid)
Clichy (£7M already gone)
Diaby £10M (although a Wenger favourite - just doesnt cut it)
Fabregas/Nasri (one will go other to stay)
Eboue £7M
Squillaci £4M

Ins:
Benzema £20M (bringing in talent to help v Persie)
Mata £15M (pure class - replacing either Fabregas/Nasri whoever goes)
Vertognen £9M (cheaper option than Cahill and would partner Verminator)
Samba £10M
Marcelo £8M (replacement for clichy and competition for Gibbs)

Total sales £64M ish + denilson
Total buys £62M ish

"Southampton have joined the race for Portsmouth target Peter Whittingham.
Sources close to the club have said Saints are confident of sealing a £3m bid for the Cardiff midfielder and hope to poach the former Aston Villa man ahead of their closest rivals.
Whittingham however, has revealed his interest in Pompey and would prefer a move to the Blue side of the South Coast, although Nigel Adkins is confident of persuading him to join his St Marys revolution.
Whittingham is said to be put off by the horrible state of Southampton streets following the recent strike by local binmen, and will hold out for a move to Pompey should Cardiff accept their bid.
Boss Steve Cotterill is prepared to come back in with a £2.5m offer and Malky Mackay may have to give in to Whittingham's wishes.
Saints will also miss out on Lukas Jutkiewicz as the Coventry striker admitted moving from the Midlands to Southampton would be like leaving Cameron Diaz for Susan Boyl".

That rumour is garbage about Whittingham, Cardiff have already issued a hands off warning to Pompey hence why they have turned their attention to Saint's Jason Puncheon. Cardiff's Mackay has announced he wants to build the team around Whittingham.

I too am a Brighton fan and can tell you that we are certainly nowhere near administration. Tony Bloom has the cash, he paid for the stadium out of his own pocket, the training ground too, no bank loans being taken out for transfers, not sure where you doubters are getting your information from but it's bogus All I'm sensing is a whiff of jealousy that we have a spanking new gorgeous stadium, a blinding manager, amazing chairman, debt free, going in the right direction. After all the years of unrest we have suffered I think we deserve our time in the sun :)

As a Watford supporter I would suggest you worry about your club and not Brighton. They have sold 18500 season tickets already this year and the chairman is a life long supporter as was his family. He's also one of the top poker players in the world and sold his betting company for a fortune. The money to build the community stadium came from him and Brighton city council with Tony bloom lending the club the money to build the stadium on an interest free loan. He has therefore invested in the club to make a profit for him and his family. I think you should do some research before you start slagging Brighton off. This is just another disgruntled supporter who Brighton have taken one of your best young players in will Buckley. Get a life and let's hope watford do well in league one next year as I give them odds on for relegation and so do all the bookies you du*k.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

As a bansley fan, and a fellow football fan, well said. Brighton have done really well, their season ticket sales speaks volumes, 18500 season ticket sales, well done lads, I only wish we could get that kind of interest in my team?

Agree1 Disagree0

Brighton have the same kind of momentum that worked so well for my team Norwich last season, I think it will be very tough to complete with Leicester and West ham, but I believe you have a real shot at a play off place.
When we played you 2 seasons ago your manager had only just taken on the job and he seems to have a very similar belief as Paul Lambert, try to win every game with is great for fans so its no surprise you fan base is growing.

manchester city are owned by the ruling family of abu dhabi, etihad are owned by the government of abu dhabi, etihad decide to sponsor man city and their stadium that city dont own to the tune of possibly anywhere upto 400million, giving man city a way around the new uefa rules, and uefa will be powerless to do anything? i thought owners werent suppose to do this, if etihad is owned by the government of abu dhabi , then surely as rulers of the country, they profit from them, this is surely in breach of the rules, but what it will do, it will allow city to buy anyone and everyone, the only way forward now, is to restrict squad sizes, wages, transfer budgets or football is doomed, ticket prices will rocket, sky subscription will go up, clubs will follow city and rename their stadiums, old trafford will become nike stadium, white hart lane will become burger king, and anfield will become specsavers arena, i know city fans wont care, seeing their team become champions and a chance to lord it over united will be great for them, but its destroying our game, i do hope uefa are watching and step in and see what has happen at city is just the owners flexing their muscles in their country , to get what they want. {Ed002's Note - You need to read the FFP rules before spouting nonsense like this.}

lets gets serious. How can Sunderland afford the wages of all the players the've signed. Its a one year gamble.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Quite easy as they sold bent for 24 million and henderson for 16 million making 40 million and bruce has only spent 30 million. We also have a billionaire owner and very good crowds plus of course money from Sky and we already have a new stadium(paid for)

Sunderland have not used any of the money from the sale of bent or henderson the money spent was the profit from the take that and kings of lyon concerts to build the squad up as it showed last year we didn't have enough depth the money from bent and henderson will be spent on 1 big name signing which will be a centre forward as quinn promised the fans he would replace bent

As it's still seems to be a topic of conversation about Gyan leaving then can you please read this transcript taken from Radio Newcastle "Today"

However, having signed Connor Wickham and Ji Dong-won

to complement the former Rennes frontman, Bruce is deter
mined to hang on to him.

The manager told Radio Newcastle's Total Sport show: "I haven't had any telephone conversation with any agent, I have had no offer from any other club.

"As far as I am concerned, I am looking forward to seeing Gyan being ready for the Premier League better than he was last time.

"I think he will be better this time around. He knows what to expect - I am expecting big things from him.

"As far as I am concerned, he's going nowhere, unless we get a wonder bid which comes out of nowhere, like we have had in the past, but I can't see it at this moment."
