Yes everything in the papers about Curbishley getting sacked at the end of the season is true especially if Tenham end up over taking us in the league. Liverpool will sell two of their four forwards next season. Crouch and Voronin will be heading for the exit door. and only one forward will be bought in their stead. Benitez feels three forwards would be sufficiant next season with so many attack minded midfielders who could fill in any gaps with injuries. ( Babel, Gerrard, Benayoun, Kewell )
The forward he is after to fill the rotation role is out of favour Adriano. currently out on loan in Brazil the powerhouse forward is seen to be the perfect foil for Fernando Torres. Adriano has an attitude problem but Benitez's ruthless ways will soon have the Brazilian up to scratch. The forward is valued at around £12 million although tecnically more but inter looking for a quick sale.
Liverpool are also on the Hunt for a right winger and right back. Rafinha of Shalke 04 is a much touted target for our defense and would be an exiting attack minded aquisition.
Benitez feels his squad would be genuine title contenders if they could find their very own Cristiano Ronaldo. A player who this season has had a contribution in over 50 of Man Uniteds goals.
A prolific winger is needed and quality does not come cheap. With rumours of a takeover or partial partnership from DIC then a hefty transfer kitty will be available this Summer.
Ben Arfa is a likely candidate, The flamboyent midfielder can play either wing and silky skills that if nurtured could reach the heights of the portugeese miastro. With Ben Arfa being so young and versatile Benitez will not get his man for anything under 18 Million.
All in all around 35 – 40 million spent on transfer targets and around 15 –20 million made from sales.
A few players may be sold in the Summer, but do not expect a wholesale clearout. Liverpool have a strong squad which just needs a few missing ingrediants.
With nothing but quality added next season expect Liverpool to mount a serious title challenge and a solid charge on all fronts.

A very good source inside Tynecastle tells me Hearts are to make a shock move to bring Burnley FA cup hero Brian Howard north of the border. Scouts have been impressed by his performances in the FA cup upsets over Liverpool and Chelsea. A deal in the region of 500 k is on the cards and Michael Stewart may go the other way if he continues to warm the bench at Tynecatle.
