I work for Kicker Magazine in Germany. Although I have not got any specific names – yet – I can confirm through a colleague's source at FC Barcelona that the president there, Joan Laporta, is desperately looking for a top–tier goalkeeper. After Iker Casillas's performance at Bilbao on the weekend, he is convinced that the only thing separating Real from FC Barcelona is their goalkeeper. Peter Cech has already been linked with FC Barcelona, but he is also looking closely at:
– Manuel Neuer of Schalke 04
– Michael Rensing of FC Bayern Munchen
– Carlo Zotti of Roma
– Maarten Stekelenburg of Ajax Amasterdam
There are likely others, but I can confirm these names are on his shortlist.
The guy who thinks that Chelsea will be able to sell Ben Haim back to Bolton for £4 million is kidding himself. Why buy back a player who turned down a new contract for a 4 Million pound fee.
Also the only position Chelsea will do any business on will be a forward for Drogba's absence. Expect no players to leave as Roman trusts Grant with his money so he will not need to sell to raise funds.
Liverpool are to offload Momo, for £8 million to Juve, then they will spend a ridiculous (and I think theyr good.) £25 million on Javi Mascherano and Javi Martinez. Rafa will dissapoint the 70,000 other Liverpool managers by not signing a decent CB. And I personally think it will cost him his job as it's obvious and will probably cost them later in the season. For such a great manager he do not half make sum silly decisions. Espescially with his rotation of a winning team.
Benitez will get his wish for more players once the Champions League money is secure after beating Marseille. If they do not Benitez will not get a penny until the Summer.

No one will be sold until the Summer but some youngsters will go out on loan. Expect some sneaky free transfers to be arranged too.

I have found out the two winger targets that Sven has lined up the first is unlikely as Europes elite are interested in him– Luka Modric, Sven plans to channel his creative ability and flair into the wings. he will pay anything up to £20 million for hus services. Rangers Rumours
It is certain that Boyd will go in January, Birmingham look the likeliest although there has been an enquiry by Bolton. McFadden and Stokes will not sign for Rangers, they are both life–long Celtic fans and are'nt what Walter is looking for. Buffel is on his way out at his own request – Teams in Holland and Germany are watching him. Charlie Adam may be on his way to another Scottish club –. Scouts from the Premier League will be watching Hutton against Lyon – if he performs well again I think we'll lose him – look out for a bid of 6 – £8 million from either Man United or Newcastle in January.
Rangers January transfers will depend on progression to the next round and the offloading of players. If we get £4 million for Boyd and £6 million for Hutton, Walter will be given £15 million to spend. If both players stay and we do not progress he will get £3 million which he will use to sign Webster and an unnamed French youngster that the Ibrox scouts have been watching for some time.

To the person who posted the rumour about Gary Teale signing for Rangers I really hope your right. He's mince. As for Stokes and Miller "spearheading" – no chance, Miller will not return North just now and Stokes if not staying with Sunderland will possibly join Celtic. Rangers are in for a left–back and have asked Giovanni Van Bronkhurst if he would return. I am a Distant relation (second cousin on his mother's side) of Manchester City youngster Kelvin Etuhu. He tells me that Sven is extremely keen about French winger Rothen who is going to be available on a free due to contract disputes with Paris St. Germain earlier in the week. This along with the Brazilian duo of Alfonso Alves and Adriano will be the only transfer movement in to East Manchester this season. Moving the other way will be Rolando Bianchi and unsettled forward Samaras.

Why on earth would Scott Brown sign for Newcastle.
He's currently one of (if not the) star man at Parkhead, Celtic are through to the last 16 of the Champions League. If he goes anywhere it will be to Old Trafford and will not happen until the Summer. Fergie is a known admirer.

Sunderland will sign Gary Speed from Bolton on loan until the end of the season.
Speed is keen to hook up with Roy Keane, with a view to joining the Black Cats coaching team once his playing career is over.
The move has been set up by Sunderland coach and friend of Speed, Ricky Sbragia, who has returned to the Black Cats as part of Keane's first team coaching set up.

In January do not expect huge investment at Liverpool. If Rafa convinces G&H, Mascherano will sign for £17 million. The owners just want to make clear to Benitez that they do not want him to go public on boardroom matters. The whole "spat" has been blown out of proportion hugely. Rick Parry has told the owners that Mascherano is vital and very young and so can only be a good buy. Liverpool also need cover for centre back and this will come in the shape of Kakha Kaladze for £3.5 million. He is cup–tied for Europe but will provide good cover in the league for centre back and LB. There may also be a forward–young one, but this will only be if he is relatively cheap. Rafa wants an extra forward at Liverpool next season to replace Kuyt or Voronin (more likely) who is young and so if signed in January he can get used to the style of play and then start properly next season–that is Benitez's hope anyway.
I am a football analyst and have been working on Benitez for 6 months now–predicting signings and sales, body language etc. Do not think I am cocky for saying this. I just want you to believe it.

Arsene Wenger was extremely keen to sign Yoan Goufrann in the Summer but the signing failed to happen. Paris St. Germain are now reported to sign him but Caen still denie the deal and Caen Manager is now asking Arsene Wenger to sign him. the Interest for him has now been picked up again and it's now that Caen Manager wants the best for his young hitman and hope he ends up as a legend and want him to end his career with Arsenal not PSG. if €13 million Euros is placed down which is approximately £6.5 million you will see for the new year January 2008 Yoan Goufrann in an Arsenal No#14 shirt.

In the Summer Sissoko will leave, heading back to Valencia in a deal involving David Villa, Kuyt may also be included in the deal. Hyypia will leave in the Summer and could be part of a deal that brings Richards to Anfield, otherwise he will move abroad.
