This January, Liverpool will NOT have a kit to spend. However, Benitez will be given £52mil to spend in the summer in the light of Gillett's sale of his ice hockey team for 480mil and a new sponsorship deal worth £20mil/year. He will target:
Robin Van Persie (25mil) and Frank Ribery (40mil)
Gareth Bale (loan)
Santon (7mil)
with the following leaving:
Ryan Babel (8mil)
Andrea Dossena (5mil)
Philip Degen (1mil)
Charles Itjande (0.5mil)
Andriy Voronin (2.5mil)
they will also be given 2mil if Madrid win the league and Alonso plays more than 25 games.
99.99% happening: Robbie Keane will be signing for Celtic in January. Spurs will take either a straight swap for Scott Brown (who Celtic value at £12 million) or £7 million in cash. Keane has been told that Defoe and Crouch are going to be the first two strikers so is determined to be on the move again. His wages the only stumbling block, where Dermot Desmond would be prepared to cover them, like he did with Roy Keane, as he is the Republic of Ireland striker and the strip sales would be through the roof. This would clear the way for Scott McDonald to move on in January to Wigan for £3 million.

the glaziers have done a good job but the debt is scary and they can't sustain their current financial difficulty, so new owners are being sought
akinfeev, hazard and silva will come over to man u with special fees spread over a period of time/ player exchange. also ngiak believes a defensive mid will also be sought. the problems now will be the type of payment acceptable to the selling clubs..

After seeing Stevie G perform so well in a deeper role, Rafa will try and get funds to sign a partner for Torres in January. Who can blame him? Gerrard played the Alonso role brilliantly and didn't get marked out of the game as he was making his runs from deeper. As for the striker, my source tells me that Sergio Aguero is top of a shortlist that includes Luis Fabiano, David Villa, Jermaine Defoe and, surprisingly, Robin Van Persie. Finances are certainly improving at Anfield and insiders believe that Rafa will see a considerable amount of money in January.

If Arsenal's poor form continues until January, a frustrated Robin Van Persie will hand in a transfer request. Van Persie apparently threw a tantrum after the Man City game and had to be pulled away from Gael Clichy, who suggested that Van Persie shouldn't have missed three chances. Barcelona, Inter and AC are long term admirers, and Liverpool and Man U could get involved too.
I am studying to be a journalist in the North West and I have news on both Liverpool and Man Utd. By the way, i support neither teams. Standard Chartered, Liverpool new £20million a year new sponsor from 2010, is one of a few new sponsors at the club. Expect new ones to be introduced in the next few seasons. This is part of the global marketing system that Tom Hicks is working on with Commercial Director Ian Ayre and Club Ambassador Kenny Dalglish. The board are using the sponsorship to spend on transfers. The £20million will be paid in tow installments a year, July and January. Therefore this will allow Rafa to spend an extra £10million in both transfer windows. Alex Ferguson is targeting a top young goalkeeper and his priority is Igor Akinfeev of CSKA Moscow price depending. David Silva will not be joining either Liverpool or United despite recent media reports.

ARSENAL
Wenger's been pleased so far with his sides performance, but after conceding 6 against both Manchester teams he knows he needs a DM to come in againgst the bigger clubs. Matuidi WILL NOT join, if Wenger wanted him he would've when St. Ettiene offered him for £7m. No, Arsene is going to use his funds and bring in Jeremy Toulalan for around £18m. He's a world class DCM and would fit the bill perfectly. Apart from that their safe for now
CHELSEA
Obviously they aren't going to sign anyone due to the transfer embargo. Naturally Chelsea fans are posting on here that it will be lifted and such, but it won't happen. The best Chelsea can hope for is the ban to go on until the summer. FIFA aren't willing to lift the ban as they feel that it sends a clear message to other big clubs who think they can pick on the littler ones.
LIVERPOOL
I believe that the yanks are in talks with a consortium to take over the club. This will allow funds to spend in January and allow the new stadium to be built, which will be completed around 2013. David Silva and Shawcross will join in January if the funds are allowed. Pavlyuchenko could also join on loan to boost his World Cup hopes.
MANCHESTER CITY
Adebayor will be fined for his celebration and his malicious stamp on Van Persie. He will also get a munimum of a 5 match ban. In January 2–3 signings will be made. Gamst Pedersen could join, but Blackburn don't want to part with their best player, Marek Hamsik and Matthew Upson will join though, for £20m and £10m respectively.
MANCHETER UNITED
Ferguson needs replacements for Van Der Sar, Giggs and Scholes. However, something a lot of people should know by now is that Ferguson doesn't tend to sign replacements. Van Der Sar could become the clubs new goalkeeping coach at the end of the season and Ben Foster will become their new number 1 after a string of impressive performances between the sticks. Darren Gibson will be Scholes replacement, as Scholes is only a rotation player but a replacement will be signed for Giggs. Andres Guardado is being scouted as a replacement and could join as early as January for around £23m.
It should also be noted that Liverpool AND Man Utd are in debt, so Man Utd fans stop talking like your in no financial problems of your own.
