I seen Rafa in the car park at Anfield before the memorial and while he was signing some autographs for us a lad asked him if the rumouers about him leaving for Juve was true and he said ""there not true, I will guarantee they are not true"" then the guy asked him if he will be here next season..He smiled and said, ""I guarantee I will be here next season"" There was a big crowd and there was lots of fans around at the time and if theres anyone out there reading this who was there and heard Rafa's words will you please back this up. Rafa is going nowhere so please stop the LIES. YNWA JFT96

Some people with very short memories placing rumours that are based on their own imagination. Carlton Cole to Villa, do me a favour. He was at Villa some years back and needed a signpost to show him the goal. Come to think of it, exactly the same as the Villa strike force of today. Robbie Keane is going to be O'Neils, if he is still there, major signing along with Owen. O'Neil knows that he needs more goals than his front line is capable of scoring and Keane will score a hatful with the supply he will get from the wings. Milner is Utd bound, deal done and dusted, and part of the fee will be Owen. These are not new rumours having been around for some time.

From a source in wales:

Celtic will enter prelimenary talks with Mark Hughes tomorrow with a view to tying up a deal very quickly. After recent drops in attendances and a growing number of disgruntled fans and with season books up for renewal within the next few weeks the right man must be appointed and soon.

Various names, including several ex players have been mentioned and recommended however, one more bad appointment would be catastrophic therefore an experienced manager with no current ties is essential.

The board will not want to pay compensation unless absolutely necessary.

Apparently John Hartson, has recommended Mark Hughesto Celtic and vice versa, although he also suppports Neil Lennon to stay on til the end of the season.

The board do have money, and I could see them giving Mark Hughes in excess of £10 million, however they would be reluctant to give a similar sum to a lesser experienced manager (ie Lennon).

Heard a rumour about sidney govou coming to birmingham on a bosman free transfer in the summer.

anymore birmingham city romours ?

Govou heading to Roma at the end of the season

Brum transfer targets:
Boyd – (free) Rangers
Benetiz – (Loan renewed)
Foster – (Loan) – Only if they can't get a permanent deal for Hart.
Charlie Adam – (£2M rising) – Blackpool
McGeady – (£8M) – Celtic
Scouting McGreager and Whittiker from Rangers.

Out goings:
Carsley – (free) Bristol City – due to injury plagued season.
Larsson – (free) NUFC – WHU – Newcastle favourites due to the 2 davids at WHU.
Tainio – (Loan finished).

On a personal view as NUFC supporter i THINK we will sign the following players:

In:
Albin – (Free) – Getafe
Nugent – (£1M) – Portsmouth – Ideal cheap partner for Carroll next season, good goal poacher and will add abit of pace upfront feeding of carrolls headers.
O'hara – (£5M) – Tottenham
Eagles – (£3M) – Burnley – Good old fashioned winger that would add good competition for Routledge.
Whittiker – (£3M) – Rangers – Great season and would add good experience at Right Back.
Bullard – (£2M) – Hull – Not only a good player but would also fit in well with the rest of the team.
Van Aanholt – (Loan) – Chelsea
Tom Cleverly – (free) – Man utd – Read this in the chronicle in january, good young english player.
Charlie Austin – (£800k–£1M) – Great season worth a shout good young english player.

These are probably NUFC's realistic signings due to Cashleys reluctance to put his hand in his pocket although hes promised Hughton £15–25M transfer budget.

Thanks, Kieran

" Dick Advocaat to be new Liverpool manager.

He's resigned his post with Belgium in order to open talks at Anfield. "

Yes Advocaat has resigned his post as Belgium manager but it is well known he is going to be Russia manager after the World Cup. I doubt Liverpool would allow a manager to assume dual roles, however, if the Yanks are still in control you never know.

Can we have some forest new's please & not a load of bull

Cant believe some of the rubbish some people write on this website.

Aston Villa manager MON will move to Liverpool this summer as he feels he has took Villa as far as he can.
Believe it or not this actually has come from a reliable source. Watch this space.

These are not rumours:

Nigel Pearson is NOT lined up for the Burnley job, Brian Laws has full backing but the board will review his contract around December if Burnley is not preforming well.

Chris McCann will leave Burnley at the end of his contract if Burnley do not go straight back to Premier League if they are relegated.

All players out of contract have been talked to, so far Graham Alexander and Robbie Blake have agreed terms, Stephen Jordan is expected to agree terms soon, while the rest except Guðjónsson, Weaver, Jensen and Lund are waiting to know which league Burnley will be in.

Brian Laws will be buying some players next season and has held talks with the board about budgets and targets, Brian Laws does however wants to include the youth into the squad.

Burnley Main Targets:
David Nugent – a bid will be put in for him, while he wants to stay with Burnley he also wants to stay in the Premier League.

Jack Cork – Brian wants Cork for another season but he will only join if Burnley stay in the Premier League.

Lee Grant – Brian is a big fan of Grant, Grant is the number one goalkeeper target.

Burnley will not be selling any player unless the sum is silly money.

NUFC rumours
Pablo Hernandez from valencia
Juan angel albin from getafe
Jamie O'hara from spurs

But we need a right back because D.Simpson may get shown up at the premiership level
and a new centre back if S.Taylor leaves

The squad doesn't need a massive change but some positions need to be changed for us to have a chance of staying in the premier league.

Regarding Leicester City FC rumours.
Only one being that , Burnley FC want to replace Nigel Pearson with Brian Laws in the summer if not sooner if he dosnt keep Burnley up ! But If Pearson take Leicester to the Prem i HIGHLY DOUBT this would ever happen !

15 Apr 2010 19:45:07
Dick Advocaat to be new Liverpool manager.

He's resigned his post with Belgium in order to open talks at Anfield.

15 Apr 2010 19:01:13
I feel it is important to draw a close to the JOSE to United claims. Jose is a great manager but lets remember he likes to win games 1–0 he plays defensively fist. That is not the UNITED way.. It won't happen. Blanc would be a more realistic option.

15 Apr 2010 19:06:15
I like how everyone is now linking Benfica's Cordoza to Liverpool. Before their europa league meeting there was no rumour of such a player joining, now that he scored 2 goals against them at home and then scored 1 against them at Anfield everyone's linking him with a move to Liverpool!! Same thing with Jovanovic who scored 2 headers against Liverpool in last seasons champions league to knock them out the competition!!

Fact is Rafa is demanding a summer transfer kitty of £60m to spend on Silva & Villa. If he doesn't get it then he will walk out of LFC. Jose Mourinho will not take over unless LFC is bought out as Mourinho knows that while the club is owned by Yanks.. he won't get the money he wants when he wants it.

15 Apr 2010 19:08:12
Manchester United will target 3 positions over the summer. A new goalkeeper, midfielder and striker will be targeted. Hugo Lloris is the number 1 target to replace van der Sar. Lyon want around €25m for the player but a deal could be done for around £18m. Manuel Neuer is 2nd choice. Marek Hamsik, David Silva and Joe Cole are being looked at for the midfield but with Napoli's crippling financial situation United could try to tempt them into selling for near €20m. Benzema is the only genuine target for the striker role. Dzeko is admired as is Suarez but it really is Benzema or nothing. United will bid £25m and hope to have it accepted but also expect Berbatov to stay.

15 Apr 2010 18:26:31
Newcastle news:
To all people that support top–6 teams, we, and west brom, will not be buying the rubbish that you don't want anymore so stop living in a fantasy. As for Newcastle fans, get your heads out of the clouds, Robbie Keane? Michael Carrick? Dimitar Berbatov? Very unlikely.
Possibly outgoing:
Steven Taylor (£8m) Everton
Leon Best (£2m) Portsmouth or another high championship club
Xisco (£2m) Spanish club
Zamblera (£1m) Roma
Nicky Butt (Retirement)
Pancrate (Free) Foreign club
Tozer (Loan) Championship club
Kadar (Loan) Championship club
Ranger (Loan) Championship club
Lua Lua (£500k) Brighton
£15m from Mike Ashley plus the £13.5m from transfers will give us £28.5m. Likely signings will be:
O'Hara (Tottenham) £4m
Albin (Getafe) £3m
Austin (Swindon) £1m
Jonathan Woodgate (Tottenham) £6m
Wes Morgan (Nottingham Forest – if they don't win play–offs) £3m
Van Aanholt (Loan) Chelsea
The remaining £11.5m will be used in January.

Any Sunderland transfer Rumours? to the deluded Everton fan who said you are signing Darren Bent, ur living in a dream world, he is not gonna leave Sunderland in the summer for anyone end of. Also to the Newcastle's fans, Alan Hutton is not going to sign for you, he has already said on skysports news he wants to make the move to sunderland permanent. Also Newcastle will be lucky to have 10million to spend in the summer and I don't think Jamie O'hara will be going to you either. You have just been promoted and you are gonna struggle next season coz you don't have the investment backing of the 20–30million you supposed to have.

Regarding NUFC rumours, let's try to be reasonable people. Anyone stating that we're interested in Bullard is living in cloud cuckoo land. While I do admire the lad as a player, he fails to fit the bill in regards to what the Toon are looking for.i.e. Under 26 with a clean bill of health. You can also forget about berbatov and carrick – cost too much in transfers and wages.
Toon are heading in a new, sensible direction, much to the dismay of all the journalists and other @rseholes who got their rocks off by knocking us every week. In that respect, you can expect us to be challenging strongly for good Bosman signings like Albin and Boyd as well as some decent young players like O'Hara, boateng and that Austin kid from Swindon. We may splash a little cash about and I've heard a rumour we may be in for Gignac who plays for Lille( I think ). But no more sicknotes, no more prima donnas and no more being held to ransome.
Cheers
Mr T

Just got an email from my friend who lives in spain, he goes to every madrid home game and it has being going around the terraces over the last couple of weeks that they will offload benzema & kaka to help finance double swoop for torres & benitez with a further 40 –50 mil to spend on further players, my friend calvin also said that it has been reported in some of the madrid papers today

you heard it here first

Why talk rubbish lad? Torres to real? He Hates real cz he's an atletico fan you muppet that's like saying Rooney and Giggs to Liverpool!! Don't talk rubbish. Rafa and torres aren't going anywhere . And I'd like raga to go but he's not. I know alot of people inside melwood and they are both staying although expect a real Madrid striker to arrive at anfield, Liverpool got first refusal over next 6 players sold when alonso went, watch this space. Torres to real, what a plank you are

15 Apr 2010 15:57:32
Man Utd will target a couple of reinforcements. A goalkeeper could be signed, Akinfeev, Frey and Neuer have been mentioned, but I would not be surpised to see the Mexican Ochoa arrive before the world cup starts. He could be a star..
Defender joining is Smalling.
Veloso will arrive to play centre midfield and could be joined by Moutinho, however this is unlikely. Joe Cole will not be signed. Gourcuff is a target, but is also interesting Real Madrid.
Up front top target is Benzema, however Giuseppe Rossi could be brought back to the club, with Villareal struggling to reach europe this season, along with the new Mexican, Hernandez.

Newcastle will be looking for survival. Strengthening the squad is required. Bougherra could be brought in, Beye could return to the club. I also believe that the club could target loan signings from the bigger clubs. Onuoha, Macheda, O'Hara and Boateng could be brought in. Harewood should return from Villa and Bullard could prove to be a bargain..

Nottingham Forest, should they gain promotion will target Shorey, Reynolds, Mawene, Andy Dawson, Spurr and Beevers could be signed to strengthen the defence. O'Hara, McArthur, Reo–Coker, Pratley, Whittingham and Michael Brown could be targeted, along with Barazite on loan from Arsenaland the permanent arrival of Majewski. However Billy likes to keep his cards close to his chest, so expect plenty of surprises.

Stoke will look to continue to build on their impressive start to life in the premiership by looking to bring in Gary O'Neil, Beye, Ledley and Piquionne to the club.

Steve Bruce will be looking to sign Figueroa and Hutton, Scharner, Pennant and a possible move for Bullard along with the big arrival of Kim Kallstrom from Lyon along with a permanent deal for John Mensah.

Sources in MLS say Seattle Sounders Columbian forward Freddy Montero is headed to CSKA Moscow.

15 Apr 2010 16:07:41
Tottenham will only look to add a couple of players to the squad, Pletikosa to back up Gomes, Yobo, Sandro and Yakubu will arrive.

West Brom will be targetting the loan players from this season, Reid and Watson, along with loan signings from his old club chelsea, with Bertrand and Cork possible. the Baggies will also be looking for world cup bargains.

West Ham may well have a new man in charge by the start of the season, with Avram Grant and Steve Coppell the top targets. Players linked include Shorey, Sidwell, Bullard, Kitson, Belhadj and Ben Haim.

Wigan will be looking at Rangel, Bodde, McArthur and Pratley, along with some unknown bargains from the Spanish leagues.

Wolves will be hoping to sign Mancienne permanently, along with St ledger and Stephen Hunt. Mick mcCarthy could also attempt to bring Robbie Keane back to the club.

Mystic Mark.. looking forward to people's thoughts and opinions..

I was the person who posted "The long script" about Chelsea yesterday.

Firstly Abramovich has just had another son called Aaron.

Secondly I said Chelsea would move in its entirety. As in away from SW6. Possibly to a site in West London.

Thirdly, I actually said that Maicon and Alves would not come to Chelsea.

Finally. Why would Chelsea not sell Drogba or any of the other names i mentioned. Drogba is getting towards the end of his career and it seems funny that the day after i say about Drogba going to AC Milan as exchange for Pato the papers are full of Pato moving again.. So much for "Pato has said he wants to retire at Milan"

Trust me on Essien to Real Madrid and Ramos going the other way and both Mikel and Kalou to Arsenal.

Watch this space. Oh and yes i do regard myself as a Chelsea supporter! You tit who can't read or research properly!

Chelsea will be looking to add a number of younger players to their squad for next season, to build on their likely Premier League win. Pato from AC Milan and David Luiz from Benfica are the top targets, along with either Frank Ribery or Marek Hamsik to strengthen the midfield. Lukaku from Anderlecht could also be signed.

Everton boss David moyes will be working under financial constrictions again, he will look to raid the lower leagues and relegated teams. Possible targets include Beckford and Nugent. Senderos could be signed on a free and Fernandes could return again from Valencia.

Fulham boss Hodgson is targetting Barnetta and Scharner, but could also make moves for Bullard or Sidwell. Shorey will sign on permanently from Villa.

Big changes likely at Liverpool, however i believe that Benitez will stay. He will target Kolarov for the left back position, Richards, Kjaer or Mexes to play centre half. Flamini is possible for the midfield, Mata/Arda Turan or Silva could arrive to play wide left and Krasic is possible to challenge the right wing and back up striker role. Up front could see the arrival of any of Jovanovic, Carew, Diogo or depending on funds, David Villa. This will obviously all depend on takeovers and money.
Funds will be available to Rafa, but how much we will have to wait and see.

Man City will keep faith with Mancini who will look to bring in Boateng, Ansaldi, Chiellini to strengthen the defence, Di Maria is a target for the left wing, Gago could sign and Ibrahimovic may well be the marquee signing in a deal involving Robinho moving to Barca.

Time to set some fellow gooners who have their heads in the clouds straight:
to the dude who posted at 15 Apr 2010 13:19:46
u have silvestre and senderos leaving for specified amounts. if u knew anything about football, u'd know that both are leaving on FREE TRANSFERS at the end of the season. U also say Bendtner will leave for 9m. u really should make it happen on your Football Manager game, as it won't happen on planet earth. Bendtner signed a new deal this season, he's going nowhere. this one takesthe cake tho: u say hazard in for 6m? try doubling that to at least 12m, are u crazy? he is one of europes top talents. he is not leaving lille for such a poulty sum.
Next to Rob at 15 Apr 2010 11:36:25
Lloris is by no means a done deal, rosicky also signed a new deal and is staying.
Now to Gunner #1: you are the craziest of the lot: 7m for almunia? go and sober up mate! eduardo for 9m? we bought him for 8m, and his valuation has plummeted since the injury and lack of form. why sell diaby at all?? one of our best players this season.
to the guy at 15 Apr 2010 10:43:15
2 keepers? no way, where exactly would the talented Szczesny fit in then genius?

my predictions:
in: neuer 13m hazard 13m zapata 11m chamakh free sakho 11m
out: fabianski 2.5m, silvestre free, senderos free, merida free, eduardo 6m, vela loan, traore 4m, simpson 3m.

RANGERS SPECULATION

Walter Smith to stay on for at least another year as manager because Ally is not yet (and may never be) ready to take charge.

Don't expect Andrew Ellis or Dave King to purchase the club as both have closed their interest.

Rangers will have Andy Webster back from his season–long loan with Dundee United. Also coming in may be Morgaro Gomis and David Goodwillie.Rangers are also looking at Leigh Griffiths of Dundee.Any other players arriving will be free agents.

Departing will be Madjid Bougherra to a top flight English/French/Spanish team for a fee which may depend on his world cup performance(Rooney will be in his back pocket so expect not a bad price).
Also leaving will be Kris Boyd on a bosman to a premiership team. David Weir will retire and will take up a coaching role at the club having just finished his badges at Largs.

Nacho Novo will sign a new contract along with Danny Wilson(who is following Fleck's lead).

Arsenal targetting 3 or 4 additions. Top targets are Lloris/Frey to replace Almunia. Van Der Wiel and Zapata for the defence, either Inler or Melo to strengthen the midfield and Chamakh up front.

Aston Villa, O'Neill to stay on and to look to push on next season. Look for moves for Kenwyne Jones/Carlton Cole or maybe even Robbie Keane. A new right back will be targeted and a central midfielder, possibly Jenas or a move for Hleb or Sessegnon to add creativity.

Birmingham will look to keep hold of Joe Hart for another season on loan, plus make moves for Kris Boyd and McGeady from the old firm. A new left back will also be sort after, with Konchesky and Traore on the possibles list.

Blackburn will look to tempt James Beattie back to the club, along with Aruna Dindane. Moves could also be made for Joey Barton and Joe Ledley.

Bolton boss Owen Coyle will look to raid his old club should they be relegated, with Eagles, Fletcher and Mears high up on his wanted list. Wilshire will also return for the start of the season on loan.

Expect more tomorrow.. Mystic Mark

I always love the rumours where a player has been spotted in the car park arriving or leaving a ground. Fact is that its rare a player conducts transfer negotiations at the ground. It's more often than not done in a hotel or within the confines of a training ground. Also love the sort of stuff like:'Just seen James Perch arriving at Ashton Gate for a medical.' Like you'd recognise any player instantly with their sunglasses and floppy hat disguises! Do me a favour!

Newcastle won't be signing Berbatov, Carrick, Keane or anyone costing more than £10m! Expect them to make a few quid out of selling Steven Taylor to another Premiership side (Everton, Chelsea and Arsenal are insterested). Their hand will be forced on this one. Andy Carroll will be their main man next season, probably partnered with Schalke's Kevin Kuranyi (free). Lovenkrands to be offered another deal and Ameobi as back up. In midfield, Pancrate released, Nolan, Jonas, Routledge and Guthrie to form the mainstay with Barton likely to be sold on. Bullard in due to Hull's relegation although the fee will be minimal due to his poor injury record. Jamie O Hara from Spurs for around £4m. Hughton to do all he can to hang onto Enrique but resolve will be tested. A keeper will be brought in – possibly David James on a free. Phillipe Senderos to replace Taylor in defence. Hughton's budget will be around £25m plus sales. No major aspirations, just a realistic target of survival and consolidation. If NUFC can comfortably compete in the Premiership next year, ie they don't finish the season within more than 8pts of the bottom 3, then 2011/12 will see a much more focused budget being allocated. Mike Ashley still keen to sell and will listen to any sensible offers. Doubtful anything will come off before the kick off of the new season though.

15 Apr 2010 12:54:42
Manchester United are to purchase Ransford Osei from Maccaibi Haiffa, and whilst he will not qualify for a work permit, send him to their feeder club in Belgium until he qualifies, similar situation as to the one with Dong Fangzhou. he is currently on loan at Twente and McClaren has indicated to ferguson that he has the potential to take the Premier League by storm.

The price will be nominal and dependent upon future success at the club.

"Forget all the Benitez rumours about him staying at Liverpool.
I have it on good authority that Rafa is leaving. His house is up for sale, and he and his wife haven't renewed their golfing memberships. And if you're into health and fitness, his wife has canceled her fitness club too.
So for all of you in the know when it comes to Rafa, try and get some concrete info., in the future. j.cromwell@intheknow""

The above comments are nonsense. My wife and I know the Benitez family and he is not abandoning Liverpool FC! This sort of ignorance fuels the British media machine. I do know that Hicks and Gillett do not speak to each other and are looking to sell the club asap

A few current rumours

Ballack – Chelsea to Inter
Sessegnon – PSG to Evrton or even arse (£8–10m)

Regarding
"To the bloke who said this:"About a year ago I wrote in and said that LFC would be bringing in young players and some middle of the road veterans to cover as the long term plan was to build a development program so that eventually LFC would keep those that were great and sell those that were good." Spot on with the policy of growing the team. It's the Spanish model. It's the reason for Rafa wanting and getting full control as his answer for LFC is that clubs grow success from the youth. Look at Barca etc – the core of their teams come through their development systems.Expect the majority of our transfers to be youth – both in and out."

Yep, but there's more to it than that, and this is no longer just the spanish/rafa way – all the major epl clubs will adopt or have adopted this policy.

There are a host of ancilliary reasons – not least of which are simple economics and the fact that the increasingly athletic nature of modern football is making it an ever younger man's game.

Key to all this is the EPL's adoption of similar home grown rules to that of the CL and (I think) EuL where 8 players must count as domestic ("home grown").Players 21 and under as of end of summer transfer window don't need to be registered in your 25–man squad. So – of particular importance to the way a number of the big teams current squad structure – you can have up to 17 overseas (incl wales + scot I think) payers older than 21 at the start of the season. Every under 21 yr old registered to meet a quota is postentially a wasted squad place (because they can play without being resistered). Anyone who has been part of your club– or another english club– for 3 yrs by the time they reach 21/need to be registered counts as a domestic player – eg, Insua will next season, Pacheco in a season or two's time.not sure about Nemeth – not sure whether loan outs abroad have an impact.

This rule was alledgedly designed to promote domestic youth talent at a time when, pre–credit crunch, the major clubs were spending vast sums on importing talent, but the unitended consequences will be far reaching and may even have almost the opposite efeect.

We're already seeing the trade in so–called youth prodigies/wonderkids escalating – and massive disputes as well – kakuta, mikel anyone. So as the price of young starlets increase, so too will the cost of youth players generally. The big teams particularly cvannot risk being dependet on home grown talent and thus the traffic in the under 18s market is set to rocket.

In a financially squeezed market, something will have to give – and that will be at the older end of the market with players losing their value very quickly. Again, we're seeing this already – particulalry with players with fitness/injury issues. There will come a point where once a player's transfer value is less than his annual salary, bar a handful of special players – they will increasingly be seen as superfluous/an ill afforded luxury.just look at how many more "aging" players are nearing expiry on their contracts

So as the transfer value of youth players increases and older players decreases, so the economic pressure to have that value displayed on the pitch will also increase.

At LFC, the youth system is improving – but imports are a big part of this (although that's not to diminish the british defensive contigent that's gradually emerging even if I do have a mental block on their names). LFC's issue is converting this talent from youth and reserve team into the first team.

Barca interested in torres, is a bit injury prone so this could see them turn their attention to villa, even though he is a bit older, rooney could also be an option.
fabregas is a maybe this season, the arsnela chairman said barca told him they wouldn't bid for him this summer but loparta has denied this, he wants to sign fabregas as a present for barca as he is in his last term as barca president.ribery a certainty to join barca, vidic, gorcouff and llloris could be signed to provide competition

out could be jeffren to celtic on loan or a permanent deal,

___Arsenal___
(summer)
as we know arsene is expected to make changes and i expect him to,

gk

out – either fabianski or almunia will leave, most likely almunia as he will be asked to step down as 1st choice,

in – expect one of the following
– lloris/neuer/green/wiedenfeller/romero/frey (17m) (14m) (7m) (9m) (9m) (12m)

i personnaly expect frey as he is french and experienced, 12m might b required to pry him from fiorentina after recent performences.

defence

out – senderos, silvestre, possibly gallas and possibly eboue

cb in – the return of djourou(injury) and nordtveit (loan) means that only two cb will be brought in most likely
savic + either mexes/sakho/tasci
(2.5m(youth) (9m) (13m) (11m)
savic is a good prospect and will most likely be brought in and loaned out, expect campbell to stay on and act as cover.

rb in – if eboue leaves expect one of the following to be brought in

– van der wiel/richards/azpillicueta/matthews
(9m) (8/9m) (12m) (5m)

i expect either matthews or van der wiel as matthews is friends with ramsey whilst van der wiel is friends with vermaelen

lb will be relativelly unchanged with the possibility of traore being used as a part exchange
, if so pedro botelho wil be recalled from loan as cover.

midfield

will be mostly unchanged, merida unfortunately looks set to leave,

cover for song looks to be a possibility however,
being either
matuidi/cabaye/melo
(8m) (7m) (12m)
mostly likely seems to be matuidi who's price could plummet if saint ettiene is relegated from league one.

– possibility of bids for
hazard/ozil
(14m) (11m)

though these wold only take place if rosicky left which seems unlikely as he signed a contract extension not to long ago.

forwards

– chamakh will be brought in on a bosman
there could be litle more activity unless eduardo leaves, which even though he signed a new contract seems a possibility in which case wenger will try to tempt
loic remy/mohamed zidane
(11m) (9m)

i expect to remy due to his nationality

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

I have close connections with a man at Arsenal, they are going to bring in some quality players next year. Deal almost done for Lloris & Chamakh. Eboue will be staying as cover, Almunia is gone, so is Rosicky and Eduardo. Gallas is staying but another centre half is target and 2 more midfielders 1 holding & 1 flying winger. Also you have heard it hear first, Henry may be back to be used as an impact sub. Campbell will get another year.

Some of these rumors make me laugh, and really and i mean really brighten up my day. rumours of this player coming in and that player coming in with the top four clubs having millions to spend that have just come out of thin air.

Im a Man Utd fan and obviously have a quick sneaky peak of what the rumours are and for fergie to have £60+ million to spend like some people say is silly even if he did he wouldn't spend it all, now i have heard that we are intrested in signing a winger and the possibilty of Milner or Silva are the likely candidates and that will be about it for the big spending either one of them will come in and that's it, Berba looks to be on the off as he is hugely off the boil and him plus a deal for Milner looks one of the best options fergie then may bring in a couple of young talent and that's it. Lets face it Utd fans we are a selling club always have been and always will be why would that change.

I have a mate who works with the physio team at chelsea and the rumour in is that nothing major will change at chelsea as the squad lets face it is decent enough as it is once again exepect maybe one big signing with offers for either Aggureo, Ribery (Madrid or Barca Bound)and Dzeno but other than that nothing really major.

And quickly for the Liverpool fans with the dream team sheets, no big signings are going to come in this summer you will have to fight off big money offers for Torres, Gerrard will stay unfortunatly as he loves you, you club will be sold but not to Big Arab Billonaires you in a dream world you will sign a couple of players that a half decent and a replacement manager will come in a put a bit of Money on Harry Redknapp being your next manager no big manager will risk there Reputation to try and revive a team which Rafa has lets face it got the best out of you and that's it.

ARSENAL
For next season I would suggest Wenger purchasers 2 goalkeepers, 1 right–back, 1 defensive midfield player & 1 forward (assuming Chamakh is signing).
The players for these positions would be Hugo Lloris & Maarten Stekelenburg, Gregory van der Wiel, Philippe Melo & Loic Remy .
I would sell or let go.. Almunia, Fabianski, Sagna, Senderos, Sylvestre, Eduardo, Vela (on loan), Denilson & Traore.
Hence:
Goalkeepers: Lloris, Stekelenburg, Mannone.
Right–Backs: Van der Wiel & Eboue
Left–Backs: Clichy & Gibbs
Centre backs: Gallas, Campbell, Vermaelen & Djourou
Midfield: Wishere, Rosicky, Fabregas, Nasri, Walcott, Ramsey, Abu Diaby, Melo & Song
Forwards: Van Persie, Chamakh, Bentner & Remy.

15 Apr 2010 11:05:18
Just before Reina signed a new contract with Liverpool, his agent was approached by Barcelona superiors stating that the club would make a £30mil offer for the keeper if he did not sign his new contract and he would get wages of £120k/wk after taxes. Talk about commitment from the Liverpool Stoppper.

15 Apr 2010 11:06:40
To arsenal transfer rumors, three to four summer signings is a sure possibility as the executives of the arsenal supporters trust are this time around going to presurize Wenger to go into the transfer market.subsequently, following wengers remarks about squad immaturity, expect manuel almunia to be our number one first choice golkeeper , as wenger still believes in his abilities although he is some time faulty.
Without an aorta of doubt, we all know emirates would no longer accomodate dead horses like , slivester, senderos and posibly eduardo(eduardo might probably be given a second season to proof his worth.)
Coming in this summer are , 1)marouane chamakh , who is arriving on a free.
2)either cristian zapata, martin cacers or phelippe mexes to bolster our defence(1 out of the three)
3)then comes in karim benzeema as the boss is a long term admirer of the out of favour galatican.
4)he is either going to appease the fans with a creative midfielder in the form of mezut ozil so that abou diaby resummes his fuul tiome carrer as a defensive midfielder alongside denilson and song.
5)gallas renewal is a sure berth, cambpbell is going to renew awith another 6 month contract.

15 Apr 2010 09:52:34
I work for the Financial Times and take a particular interest in the financial situation within the whole sport of football and conduct a lot of research into clubs that are in the media in terms of potential takeovers and the turnover/profitablilty of the clubs. I have been in contact with different sources (cannot reveal for professional reasons) regarding the situation at Liverpool as this is always in the media. I have been given the following information and decided to share with you Liverpool fans. I am a Newcastle fan and therefore have no interest in Liverpool whatsoever but what I have here is from extremely reliable sources.

Tom Hicks and George Gillett have been granted a 6 month extension on their current refinancing package by RBS. This means that the restructuring of the deal will be looked at in January 2011 instead of July 2010. This could have implications on both the sale of the club and strengthening of the squad. If the Americans are still in charge of Liverpool this summer they will look to appoint a manager who preferably has Premier League experience as Rafa Benitez will be appointed Real Madrid manager. The manager they prefer to appoint is Martin O'Neill as he is the cheapest option due to his 12–month rolling contract. No compensation would need to be paid and he would still insist on having the same terms at Liverpool, meaning if results are not going to plan, he will be cheap and easy to remove from his position. Other options being studied are Harry Redknapp, Roy Hodgson, Jose Mourinho, and other managers without Premier League experience are also being shortlisted. The Americans would allow the new manager all money raised from player sales plus £20million.

If the club's new board fronted by Martin Broughton and Christian Purslow can find a new buyer before the summer then this is where the big changes will happen. Christian Purslow has made a list of managers he would like to see take the reigns at Anfield when Rafa departs for Madrid. The top two he wants are either Jose Mourinho or Pep Guardiola. Both managers have recently expressed an interest in persuing their careers elsewhere, Mourinho constantly delares his love for the Premier League and Guardiola has confirmed his interest in pastures new after winning everything possible at Barcelona and wants to test his managerial capabilities elsewhere.
There are 3 serious potential buyers for the club from India, Far East and America. An offer from a group of rich successful American businessmen and bankers from the worlds biggest investment bank Goldman Sachs was rejected by the Americans in early February, a deal similar to the deal happening with the Red Knights at Man Utd. Purslow wants to look into this and try to revive this offer as this potentially would make Liverpool one of, if not the richest club in the world and most attractive. This is due to the club being owned partly by bankers who would control the financial aspects of the club and look at things to increase the clubs profitability and both quarterly and yearly turnover and control the expenditure to ensure Liverpool would have sound financial foundations to build upon for the future and ensure the clubs financial position is extremely secure. This would allow whoever the manager would be to have significant figures to deal with in each transfer window, particularly the summer. If this is unsuccessful, they will again turn to The Rhone Group to revive their interest and this is more likely than the Goldman Sachs bid. The Indian bids would come from the Ambani family and the Sahara Group (more interested). A small contingency of Chinese billionaires who recently expressed an interest in Man Utd are also very interested in Liverpool and this has been confirmed by Rafa Benitez's agent but they prefer to keep Rafa. Any of these potential buyers would give the manager in the summer, whoever he may be, significant transfer funds ranging between £60–80million and Liverpool would then be in a position to sign world class players to build a team capable of competing for all major honours and reject any huge offers for Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres.
Either way, this is going to be a massive and exciting summer for Liverpool Football Club.

Arsene wenger to rush the signing of a new goalkeeper before the start of the world cup, to avoid inflated prices. its a straight choice between hugo lloris and manuel neuer.
having seen jerome boateng come to the brink of signing for City, wenger will turn his attention firmly to Neven Subotic, Serdar Tasci, Mamadou Sakho and Christian Zapata. if gallas stays one of these will be signed, if he leaves, 2. A move for Hangeland is very unlikely. Felipe Melo will be pursued fro about £12m given his unsatisfactory season at Juve, Eden Hazard will be brought in for £13m and chamakh will come in for free.
in: Neuer 11m, Zapata 11m, Sakho8m+Traore, Melo 12m, Chamakh free, Hazard 13m, galindo total:55m
out: Fabianski 3m, Traore p/e, Silvestre free, Senderos free, Gallas free, merida free, Eduardo 8m, simpson 4m, almunia 4m, wilshere loan, vela loan, shea loan. total:19m, spent:36m.

Arsenal Transfers
Finally Wenger has admitted that he may spend soome cash on World class players! We also have to get ri of some of current squad members! Here are Arsenw's main transfer targets!

In:
GK:Lloris–17million
DF:Micah Richards–10million, Van Der weil–9million
MF:Hazard–13million & Wellington Silva(january)/ Melo–14million(?)
CF:Chamack–Free

Out:
Almunia–7million, Silvestre–free, Senderos–free, Gallas–free, Merida–free, Fabianski–1.5million, Eduardo–9million, Vela–Loan, Diaby–9million, Eboue–8million, Arshavin–15million(?)Traore–3million

I believe most of this will happen. Why does people keep on saying our denfence improved? last season we conceeded 37goals; this season its 35 wih 4 games to play! Richards will be a good option beacause of the 7+4 rule in CL– and we need a powerful defender anyway. Cambell might stay for 1 more season, as he put in good performances. The Three RUBBISH european defenders will go.
While Diaby, Edu, Eboue will leave for poor performances. Arshavin may be a questiom! 30 this year and looks like his performances are getting worse–& he finds the Aresnal Schedule too hard. Hazard is a very similar player– a bit like Ronaldo, but less selfish! Wellington–hot prospect(cant wait until January, 2011!)..Melo–maybe!.
Chamack is literally already signed, even though i believe his strike rate is not that good. Some of our good youngsters will look to prove themselves. So:

Arsenal Squad 10/11:
GK:Lloris, Manone, Sche?zy
RB:Sagna, Van der Weil
CB:Vermaelan, Cambell, Richards, Djoroue, Nordvith
LB:Clichy, Gibbs
DM:Song, Melo
CM:Fabregas, Nasri, Denilson, Ramsey
Wings:Walcott, Rosicky, Wilshere, Hazard, Wellington
ST:Chamack, Van Persie, Bendtner, Simpson&Watt(?)

~~HUGE Easter Road News~~
Derek Riordan has played his last game for Hibs. His disputed fine by the club has little to do with his criticism of the pitch and far more to do with his continual attempts to undermine manager John Hughes.

It would seem that his most likely destination is down south, with a POSSIBLE shock move to Motherwell if things can't be sorted out in England.

Man United summer transfers–

GK–
either neur or lloris will come in. Neuer is more likely to go to Bayern. Lloris would cost between £15–20 million but exchange possible with players such as Anderson, Berbatov and Carrick being considered.

Def–
Smalling deal is already complete and Dodo may be brought in. None of the defenders will leave now as Vidic is now happy with life in Manchester (but SAF would stilll consider selling him if Real or Barca offered £20 million +).

Mid–
It is now clear to SAF that a new central midfielder/ playmaker is essential this summer. Fletcher will be a first choice player for years to come. Others such as Anderson, Carrick, Hargreaves, Gibson, Scholes and Giggs have had a disapointing and inconsistant season. Anderson may be offered in exchange for Lloris (otherwise he will stay and get a last season to prove his worth), Carrick is another being considered as a potential exist as SAF looks to add goals to his midfield. As for potential signings–
–J cole– SAF would love to bring him in, but all depends on whether he gets a new contract with Chelski.
–Defour– The young Belgian has great potential– but SAF is unsure whether he has the potential to have a 10+ goal season.
–Silva– Another long term target– SAF now has him at the top of his wanted list but may well be beaten to his signature by Real.
– Hamsik– very highly rated around Europe and has the ability to score goals– a good chance to see him in the red of united, but SAF will need to beat a host of other clubs to his signature.
– Ribery– No chance, will either join real or barca.
–Veloso– has been loocked at but considered as a defence midfielder which is now what SAF is looking for

Strikers– SAF has an abbundance of strikers at his disposal. He will add another to this list– Benzema deal is almost certain (£15– £25 million, with real with possible first refusal on Vidic or even Rooney).
Berbatov will be offered in exchange for either Benzema, Silva or Lloris. If not wanted then SAF will sell him if he can get anyone to pay £15 milllion for him. Owen and Chicharito will be used as the 3rd and 4th strikers.
Youngsters such as Wellbeck, Macheda, Diouf wil be given loans out to improve their first team experience.

United Team next year–
Lloris
O'Shea Vidic ferdinand Evra
Valencia fletcher Hamsik Nani
Rooney Benzema

subs from –
VDS, Kuszcak
Rafael, Smalling, Brown, fabio, Evans, Neville (las season)
Park, Gibson, Obertan, Scholes + Giggs (last season), Anderson, Carrick, Hargreaves (may retire due to injury)
Owen, hernandez/ Chicharito

"Forget all the Benitez rumours about him staying at Liverpool.
I have it on good authority that Rafa is leaving. His house is up for sale, and he and his wife haven't renewed their golfing memberships. And if you're into health and fitness, his wife has canceled her fitness club too.
So for all of you in the know when it comes to Rafa, try and get some concrete info., in the future.
j.cromwell@intheknow"

Ironically above is load of nonsense. Benitez's wife was at Caldy golf club only other week and house isn't up for sale either. This doesn't mean Benitez necessarily staying however as no–one really knows, only Benitez! Re golf fees do you really think they'd bother cancelling with the money Benitez earns.

15 Apr 2010 08:40:36
The silva to madrid rumours are just smokescreens by the madrid hierarchy to divert their fans' attention from the barca defeat. they did the same when they lost in the champions league by publishing rooney to madrid rumours.Sir alex has been given full backing to sign silva and benzema. benzema will be signed for around 20mil with madrid getting first option on rooney and vidic whenever they become available. berbatov has been given an offer by lyon and a swap with lloris with united also sending fabio on loan is on the cards.

Real Madrid's Perez has agreed to sell Karim Benzema to Manchester United for a tiny sum of 17 million, though in return they will get Vidic for just 12 million at the end of next season! This is 100% true, it will be in the Spanish papers tomorrow morning.

vidic will not leave man utd he has a contract until 2012 and he himself has stated he will be still be here when that contract runs out youre right it could be mentioned in the spanish papers but evreyone knows that the spanish media are making stories up all the time to help barca and real get players they want you have got more chance of west brom signing messi than you have of vidic going to real madrid

Chelsea transfer targets:

Romelu Lukaku – 16 year old first–team striker from Anderlecht – 6ft4 – Scored 15 in 29 this season – very promising! Don't know the asking price but certainly under £5mill. Will be Chelsea's 3rd choice striker as Ancelotti believes that Drogba and Anelka are good enough to play together for another season.

Steven Pienaar – Ancelotti wants to add some more creative power to the side as we can't rely on Malouda for brilliance on the wings. Would cost £10–12mill. Slight gamble as he's 28 and hasn't played for a top club, but could happen. There are many other targets for this creative midfield role, but Pienaar currently seems most likely.

Marouane Fellaini – Still only 22 years of age, and has a lot of promise. Would be a brilliant signing to replace Ballack. Would cost £16–18mill, which might put Ancelotti off, but the fee might be less if we turn it into some sort of exchange deal involving Belletti or Ferreira as Everton need a right–back. Unlikely we'll sign both Everton players, but we may well get one.

Neven Subotic, David Luiz, Leonardo Bonucci, Steven Taylor – 4 young centre–backs. Carvalho needs to be replaced, and Ancelotti wants to bring some more youth into the side. These 3 defenders are attracting many scouts and I imagine we will put in bids for all of them. Dortmund would want more than £10mill for Subotic which will be off–putting. David Luiz, Taylor and Bonucci would cost in the region of £6–8mill, and Taylor would help with the english contingency rules for next season

We will also look at some wing backs, both sides, as Ancelotti wants to use Zhirkov as a midfielder next season (his natural position), and Ivanovic will be used more as a centre back if Bosingwa is fit. Ancelotti doesn't want to make any rash big name signings (Aguero, Pato etc.) to disrupt the harmony at the club and slowly wants to bring in some slightly younger players to build a club for the future.

Definitely leaving will be Deco and Belletti. Possible departures will be Carvalho and Ferreira if they want to leave. Ballack will stay another season but won't feature much. Joe Cole will stay and Kalou will stay but Ancelotti wants to use him as a wide midfielder rather than a striker. Ancelotti also has faith in Cech and Turnbull and will not sign a keeper

To the bloke who said this:

"About a year ago I wrote in and said that LFC would be bringing in young players and some middle of the road veterans to cover as the long term plan was to build a development program so that eventually LFC would keep those that were great and sell those that were good."

Spot on with the policy of growing the team. It's the Spanish model. It's the reason for Rafa wanting and getting full control as his answer for LFC is that clubs grow success from the youth. Look at Barca etc – the core of their teams come through their development systems.

Expect the majority of our transfers to be youth – both in and out.

In wake of Arsenal's defeat in the north london derby against Spurs the fan backlash has been unrelenting toward Eboue & Almunia.

This makes the rumored Eboue for Melo swap that much more likley.

As for Almunia I believe Fulham at home will be his last game with Arsenal.

"Sky Sports News is claiming that The Red Knights are closing in on a take over deal at United."
I have not seen Sky Sports News but would suggest that it may be more accurate to report that they are closing in on making a bid – not taking over. My understanding is that the group are still seeking investors to back their bid.
"Glazers have stated before that the club isn't for sale but the Red Knights believe a big enough bid will put the Glazers under pressure and maybe sell the club."
A big enough bid will no doubt tempt the owners – the question remains where will the money come from – and I would hazard a guess that we are looking at £1.2B here.
"A £500m bid will be offered towards the end of the season which was a big risk."
You cannot use future and past tense and expect this to make any sense. A £500M bid will be laughed at unless it is in addition to the £500M bond – which gives £1B and possibly a meeting to explain that the owners require somewhat more.
"Red Knights all agreed to wait til the end of the season before buying MUFC. With United crashing out of the champions league and also looking as though they won't win the premier league this season, The Red Knights are thinking they may get a deal done cheaper."
The value of the business is based on nothing as fickle as winning the Premier League.
"SAF Summer 2010 Transfer Target: Yoann Gourcuff & Karim Benzema."
Replace Gourcoff with Stephen Defour and you may have it spot on.
Sharkey.

I love this site it brigtens up my day, to the person that said "My source are allready busy doing paper works for possible transfers and loan plans, kaka exchange for N – Vidic + 5 mill.
I think you must have ment – My frend was doing his paper round this morning and dremnt that this might happen, and then he got bitten by the dog at number 23 WTF avenue. Not a chance in the world, maybe a swap for Benzima at best.
And as for the fela that says Rafa is a bad manager, correct me if i am wrong but hasn't he won two La lega titles the Champions legue, Uefa cup plus the FA cup and the equivalent cup in Spain. doesent sound like a bad manager to me. Any way as rumours go i think you might well see Hazard at Arsenal plus a keeper as Almunia is dodgy. A decent striker will arrive at Liverpool and Man U as they both need one and City will try and sign some strikers as well, even though they don't need any.

COPIED AND PASTED FROM SPANISH PRESS.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will reportedly sell Karim Benzema for £17 million according to reports in Spanish daily Sport. Manchester United and AC Milan are the frontrunners in the race for the 22–year–old, but Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be the favourite less than a year after missing out on the France international.

Sport claim Real Madrid will accept a cut–price deal despite paying Lyon €35 million last summer, and reports on Monday claimed Manchester United had made the striker one of their main targets in a bid to reinvigorate their recently lacklustre squad.

AC Milan are expected to rival the Premier League champions for Benzema however Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes he can entice the France international to Old Trafford with the promise of first team football.

I do like how everybody on this site seems to have links with somebody on either the board of a prem team, or somebody on the coaching team or backstage staff!! BE SERIOUS TRANSFER TALKS WOULD BE BETWEEN A SELECT FEW MEMBERS OF THE TEAM AND BOARD! Whats even worse it that people say, 'i had a prem manager in my taxt'!! YOUR HAVING A LAUGH MATE! IM SURE A PREM CLUB (maybe pertsmouth excluded) WOULD BE ABLE TO AFFORD A PRIVATE CAR TO PICK A MANAGER UP!
Now for more reliable rumours:

West Ham are looking at Jamie O'Hara as he is not likeing the fact of how he may not have much game time next season.
Stanislas nor Hines are going anywhere on a permenant transfer. Sullivan has stated how vital it is to maintain the academy fo West Ham and how they must keep these players at the club.

As it has already been mentioned: Chelsea would not let Drogba go nor would they be able to build a new 60000 seater stadium. If they did it would not be in Chelsea and the club would HAVE to be renamed. That would not go down well with fans.

Wayne Rooney will not leave English football as he has grown up supporting it and has been part of the whole English football system.

If Hull go down expect key players such as Bullard to leave as he is a higly rated player. Expect him to go to Newcastle or West Brom. he will stay in the prem.

THESE ARE RUMOURS. I HAVE NO LINKS TO ANY CLUB NOR ANY LEAGUE OFFICIAL OR AGENTS! I DO KNOW A PLAYER BUT I HAVNT SPOKEN TO HIM IN A WHILE AND WHEN I DO IT DOES NOT INVOLVE TRANSFERS. THESE ARE FROM THE PAPERS OR OTHER RUMOURS THAT HAVE CIRCULATE. ALL RUMOURS AND COMMON SENSE!!

Please get a grip and don't just make rumors up in your head. barca will only have 1 big signing this year and that's a replacment for henry. rumor has it that this player will be carlos tevez since messi plays quite well with him.
