Regarding the takeover at Plymouth, the administrator has closed dialogue with Paul Butivant as he has failed to prove he has the money. There was a meeting yesterday in London with the Irish consortium, but I have heard nothing relating to any out come. James Brent still looks favourite, but it all looks likely to drag on to June, thanks to the applalling behaviour of the previous board, who, in my opinion, should not get a penny and ought to be behind bars! Bryher Pilgrim COYG.

Hi Bryher, there's another consortium coming into play soon - hopefully Plymouth will stay up and we can look forward to League 1 Football next season (can't see Walsall, Swindon, Dagenham and Tranmere getting better results than us!)

Coventry City News

Gary Hoffman and Ray Ranson will lead a consortium to purchase the club over the summer, replacing current owners SISU.
The new board's first focus will be to purchase half of The Ricoh Arena, as without this, it will be difficult for the club to generate sales, without having to sell players.
Andy Thorn is in the driving seat for the vacant manager position, after putting in some strong, atacking performances in his handful of games as Caretaker. Other names that are said to be in the frame, are Mark Robins, Greg Abbott, Richard Shaw and Karl Robinson.

After purchasing a percentage of The Ricoh, the club will then set about improving the playing squad.
Stephen O'Halloran (1 year), Lee Carsley (1 year), Marlon King (2 years) and Aron Gunnarsson (3 years) will all sign new contracts with Chris Kirkland, Danny Green, Darren Ambrose and Kevin Phillips joining the club.
Kieren Westwood (Wigan), Freddy Eastwood (Derby), Isaac Osbourne (Walsall), Michael McIndoe (MK Dons), Danny Ireland (Nuneaton), Roy O'Donovan (Hartlepool) and Conor Thomas (Liverpool) will all leave, generating around 1.5m in transfer fees and also freeing up wages.

PUSB!

Kenny Daglish and Damien Comolli have been given a £50m budget to rebuild the squad and are planning on blowing £40m of it on Gareth Bale which would make him the most expensive British player in history smashing a record Liverpool set in January with the £35m move for Andy Carroll.Jose Enrique and Charlie Adam are also thought to be top targets with each player going into the final year of their contract Liverpool are expecting the pair will cost around £8m each.Youngsters such as Sterling, Kelly, Shelvey, Coady, Pacheco, Spearing, Robinson and Flanagan will see more game time next year as the club look to bring more first team players through the academy.Aquilani will move to Juventus on a permanent contract for a fee of £12.6m.The exit door will be jammed this year as Maxi, Krygiakos, Degen, Konchesky, N'Gog, Bruna, El Zhar, Jovanovic, Darby, Ayala, Irwin, Poulsen and Insua are all expected to leave. Liverpool have already agreed a deal to sign former Rennes winger Sylvain Marveaux on a free transfer while Dirk Kuyt is on the verge of agreeing a two year contract extension.Liverpool scouts have also been watching Ipswich striker Connor Wickham for some time now and a move for the 18 year old Liverpool fan could be on the cards depending on player sales etc.

LFC are close to agreeing deals for Krishna and Lamela this summer.

The club are also weighing up whether to finalise a deal for Toivonen or to look at Conor Wickham from Ipswich Town as back up to Carroll. Toivonen looks to be favourite at the moment as the club would prefer not to get into a bidding war for Wickham and would prefer to spend the money on other areas.

Expect a french looking spine next season too, with a CB and DM both plundered from Lique 1

Coventry City news

Hi guys this is my first post since I told you Connor Thomas would be leaving Coventry for Liverpool - 2 days before the deal was done.

I have news from inside the club that Andy Thorn will be offered a one year contract to become manager of Coventry City with Steve Harrison as his assistant.

Elsewhere, one year contracts will be offered to Steve O Halloran, Marlon King and Lee Carsley (working simultaneouly in a coaching role). Aron Gunnarson will also be given an improved two year contract.

Sadly Kieran Westwood will be leaving the club along with Danny Ireland, Michael Quirke, Issac Osbourne, Callum Wilson, Michael Mcindoe, Roy O Donovan, Shaun Jeffers and Cluive Platt.

Thorn will have limited tranfer money to bring players in therfore expect to see Marcus Hahneman and Kevin Phillips arrive on free transfers. A first choice replacement for Westwood has not yet been decided although links have been made to Joe Murphey, Alex Smithies and Joe Lewis.

So lets look at the prospective squad for next season :

GK: Murphey/Lewis.Smithies, Hahneman
Lb: Hussey, O Halloran
Cb: McPake, Turner, Wood, Cameron, Craine
Rb: Keough, Clarke
Dm Carsley, Clingan
Cm: Gunnarson, Deegan
Cm: Bell, Baker
Am: Mcsheffrey
St: King, Eastwood
St: Phillips, jutkiewicz

Off the pitch SISU will buy 50% of the Ricoh Arena in an attempt to finnaly run a profitable club.

Hopefully this should be an exciting summer guys, personally I'm very positive about these changes. PUSB! ! !
