Manchester United have lodged a £7m bid for want–away Tottenham winger David Bentley. It is my understanding that Tottenham have already granted Aston Villa permission to speak with the player after they had a bid of £8m accepted, however Bentley is said to be demanding he be allowed to speak to Man U.
Also at Tottenham Harry Redknapp has bid for Arsenal's Brazilian/Croatian striker Eduardo, but has been told the player is not for sale.

Barcalona have offered LFC Samuel Etoo plus cash for Barca's top target Javier Mascherano. However if LFC decide to keep him Etoo will stay at Barca despite 20–25 million pound bids from man city as Etoo wants Champo League football. Karim Benzema will definately not be joining man utd or city as Karim wants to stay at Lyon. Arsenal's top targets are Klaas Jan Huuntelaar and Yaya Toure. Chelsea will sign either Sergio Aguero or Alexandre Pato. It will probably be Pato as Aguero is a LFC fan.

Firstly , read this story to the end because even though i am an a season ticket holder at coventry, listen to this on real madrid. 3 days ago me and my friends were on xbox live talking wireless to strangers when we started talking football , they spoke decent english but a little hazy . Also they mentioned something off a la liga defender , but i can't remember what the lads name was . Sorry , but there you go football fans , this ridiculous spending seems to continue.

Get real!! LFC is not making enough money to pay off the interest on the debt, let alone the debt itself, so where is the money coming from? You are going to have to sell players to buy, so don't expect your club to spend £20 million on Silva or £35 million on Aguero because you simply cannot afford it. Expect Rafa to sell fringe players and maybe Alonso to try and raise funds.
Arsenal to sign Sakho, Melo and Zapata with Hart maybe in on loan.
United to sign Schweinsteiger, Van der Vaart, Tevez and will bid for David Silva.
Chelsea to sign Pirlo, Zhirkov and will bid for Aguero.

Andrew Surman to Cardiff City for £1 mil.
David Villa's almost done deal to madrid has collapsed (saturday night–sunday morning) and the Valencia striker will sign for Madrid rivals FC Barcelona in the next few days. Valencia believed Madrid undervalued the player and Barca have come in a with a bigger offer.
Barcelona will also make a concerted effort to add Vidic. Ribery, Macherano and Lahm to the squad to ensure they don't fall behind Madrid in the transfer market.
Eto'o will stay as he is again pricing himself out of a move away and will sign a new contract.
Victor Valdes contract talks have broken down and Barca will look to Asenjo from Valladolid who's deal to Atletico Madrid has not yet been completed due to "unforeseen circumstances"
Barca are waiting for Madrid to spend themselves dry before making moves unless Madrid go for one of their main targets listed above.

I have heard that liverpool have 25 mil plus player sales, and we already have 3 bids in the region of 5 million tabelled, these are tuncay, richards, saviola . he is willing to spend 20 on these three players so the figures could rise.
Then we need a right back and a striker. . The right back will be glen johnson and it we don't get him we will buy a young defender from spain to compete with arbeloa with arby being first choice.
Then theres the 3 players being linked away, Torres to man united will never happen, alonso won't happen unless its a huge deal in the region of kakas and the masch deal is a 50–50 with eto'o and a few million coming the other way.
If we get new owners expect a big signing to show the new owners intent and if we don't get new owners expect a move for owen to keep the fans happy. .
Tevez is still a option, but getting more and more unlikely every day

I was wondering what the many Liverpool supporters on this forum would think to be the amount of money required for the club to consider selling Fernando Torres? From what I understand, at least two clubs are looking very seriously to make bids.

Liverpool's debt has been dramatically overestimated and the club will have a good summer. They have come out recently saying they will not sell Alonso or Mascherano and they mean it this time. They are putting a big focus on winning the league(meaning lots of depth) next season so won't be selling players but may loan out a few youths to help with deals:
Glen Johnson announced within the week for 15m plus darby on loan.
Juan Mata or Lavezzi confirmed by july for 18m give or take a few million.
Owen or Saviola signed by july for a free or 5m respectively.
Adam Johnson plus David Wheater by july for combined fee of 10m plus Kelly and Hammill on loan.
Aguero and Javi Martinez in January window after a takeover from DIC, for 35m and 14m respectively.
United:
Firstly, Wheeeeeeeeeey Ronaldo is leaving England!!!
Now, with there money from sales plus competetion bonuses they will be purchasing A.Young(30m), A.Valencia(16m), Benzema(35m) and will try but won't agree personal terms with Tevez or Ribery who will be in city and real shirts next season. Rest of money will go to glazers debt. I think everybody will agree that even these 3 players do not replace Ronaldo and adding the fact that tevez will go aswell plus an already ageing squad, it will be a huge step down.
To the Bristol City nerd who reckons they will resign Nick Carle must be on drugs. He may not have had the best season, but Warnock rates him as our key player. Anyway, why would take a step in the wrong direction.

As unbelievable as it sounds Everton are genuinely pursuing Ashley Young. However, Villa are virulently against letting him go on the cheap and as such are looking at £30+ million and a British record fee. Villa asked for Lescott/Arteta + Pienaar and some cash for Young but Everton don't fancy this deal.
Spurs are monitoring the situation with all four of Bentley, Huddlestone, Jenas and Bent being offered to Villa in exchange. It seems to be an interesting transfer battle brewing around Youngy and I'd expect top four clubs (In particular United and Chelsea) to start sniffing around.
Across town at Blues Joey Barton is said to be close to signing for £5 million. McLeish thinks that he and Bowyer would be a fantastic midfield partnership around which a successful team can be built. Expect Sheffield United winger Lee Hendrie to join up too.
I am pleased to hear that the Belgians are in fact known around england. As a belgian myself it's a lil easyer for me to hear things about their transfers.
Dembele – probably won't leave, he has got a starting place in Champ. League football so he will not go, unless offcourse AZ is kicked out early after group stages.
Hazard – yes, our so called wonder, he is very young, and he said that he finds it wonderful these rumours are going along. Though, he just got of the bench this year in Lille, he is not even wearing a suit there, which is a sign of not being a tudor for the team. He wants to gain this and he will probably leave the year after, simular to Fellaini.
Defour & Witsel – This is a hard nut to crack, only thing they say are, we won't leave if we don't get a decent offer. Meaning, for someone like defour, Aston Villa is a big option, especially now with Barry gone, don't expect them to go to a club like e.g. Wigan or Hull. No offene.
Vermaelen – This is a rumour that is closest to it. If he really gets an offer from a team like arsenal, he will not even think twice, as he says so himself. Not that he doesn't like playing for Ajax, he just thinks he is ready to go up a level.
No for non belgians.
Alonso & Mascherano, not going anywhere, read it on LFC Official site, just like how you could easily read that manu had received an offer for ronaldo when half of the people on here were still writing he wasn't going anywhere.
Glen Johnson is highly rated to go somewhere, as pompy received a offer from a club, which they don't want to name.

Although i am involved in a major shearholder in west ham utd i am here to set the record straight,
manchester united can NOT buy alexis sanchez from udinese as he is co–owned by ac milan too who value him at high regard and a long term replacement for kaka. if they was to buy him they would have to have a bid accepted from both parties.
im not sayin i own the club, i jus work for the buisness that the owner also owns.
Also, liverpool have contacted west ham several times over the past month, they are looking into signing lucas neil, and also mark noble who they feel has the drive and determination to challenge javier mascherano for a place in the team. The reason they are looking at lucas neil is because they have already used the majority of their funds on a big name signing and can't afford glen johnson, i don't know the big name signing its jus what iv been told

Apparently Chelsea are going to swap Didier Drogba for Pato and £5m
From a source very close to a board member at Falkirk FC:
Scott Arfield will sign for Burnley for £850,000 within the next week. He has already been to the new Premier League club to discuss terms and has been shown around the stadium.
The fee will also include a 10% sell on clause and a friendly arranged for 2010.
