Young Norwich midfielder Korey Smith joins Oldham on a months loan.

Yeovil supporter here he was a great signing for us andwill be for u. Hope you can beat Bournemouth

Cheers Yeovil fan. Reassuring words. We need results!

As a Norwich fan I will say you've signed a cracker there! Smith was ever present under Lambert in League 1 and was in the Championship until he got injured. Great little player-wish he had more of a chance at Norwich!

Norwich fan here. No disrepect to Oldham, but Korey should be in the Championship. He is a very good player who needs to play at the best standard possible. Oldham have done extremely well to get him, and good luck to you! CanaryTom

Reading striker Adam Le Fondre is being lined up by West Brom as a replacement for on loan Romelu Lukaku if Reading go down.
Arsenal interested in Julio Cesar if QPR go down as they believe they can get him for a cut price fee.
Wigan want to resign Charles NZogbia from Villa for 6 million if Wigan survive and Villa go down.
Tottenham to make a move for Christian Benteke in the summer for 12 million.
Stoke will make a 4 million move for Maynor Figueroa in the summer.
Newcastle to use the money from the Europa League to make a bid for Ettiene Capoue from Toulouse.

Is that the same figueroa who will be available on a free?

Great another exciting player, oh sorry I meant another defender, when we Pulis see we need quality in midfield and attack not a defender Free or not, its become a joke!

^yes but we do need full backs.

figs has been great this season but very quiet for the previous seasons and as you say he is a free agent at the end of the season and as I understand has agreed a move to west spam!

what a disgrace Wigan are! Should be kicked out of premier league. How can RM defend that "tackle".

Can't kick a team out for 1 bad tackle. If that was the case Stoke would never grace the premier league again.

Not to mention the bad challenges that some Newcastle players have made over the years, but don't let that affect your biased judgement!

18 Mar 2013 21:23:41
Really hope Wigan get relegated. Small club been lucky for years they will struggle in championship when prem money has gone.

Clarke trying to give the kids a sniff of first and dumping them, is cruel pick them to play and don't mess them up, not good after we have let some good youth go for nothing

Not seen a Toon player wreck anyones career or even come close to it yet.

Shearer on Lennon?

So I guess you conveniently missed Kevin Nolan's challenge on Victor Anichebe or Danny Guthrie on Craig Fagan, just 2 examples for you, those challenges are the definition of malicious intent!

Do you know for a FACT that Haidara's injury is anywhere close to being career ending?

Kevin nolan on anichebe springs to mind

Anyone who defends that mcmanaman tackle is a person when whelan said he won the ball I felt sick and sorry how anyone could come out with that

Ronnie Moore will cut short Donevorn Daniels's loan spell at Tranmere to make money available to bring in a striker before the deadline. It has been suggested Wolves may be ready to loan Jake Cassidy back to Rovers. Local non-league striker Peter Abbott is also on trial at Tranmere.

If Saunders can get a loan striker in for Wolves, then I can see no reason why Cassidy could not make the move back to Prenton Park. The loan window closes in 8 days and there is bound to be a lot of movement just before the window shuts so my just happen. hope so anyway.

Good daniels is a donkey at fault for too many goals not good enough for league one and with Gibson back don't need him but do need another forward sidibe is good but but cannot rely on him regularly

Burton boss Gary Rowett is already compiling his summer wish list.
Current loan players Ian Sharps, Michael Symes and Alex MacDonald will all be offered permanent deals from Rotherham, Leyton Orient and Burnley respectively.
Also joining could be Stephen Bywater from Sheff Wed and Michael Doyle from Sheff Utd.
Anthony O'Connor is also expected to agree another season long loan from Blackburn.

Sorry but no, don't think so. Sharps yes, Symes no chances he's on 5k a week, we cannot afford him. MacDonald possible, but again wages could be a major stumbling block. No chance with the other two joining us and Anthony O'Connor will be playing first team football for Blackburn next season. What we need to concentrate on is keeping Mags, Kee, Pato, Calvin, Zander, Tommo, Marcus, Weir and Bell!!

Trust me on this, Symes is NOT on 5k a week. If he was then we (Orient) wouldn't be able to afford him. He's on between 1. 5k and 2k.

Seemingly Symes is on 3. 5k a week! No way can Burton afford him - and he's injury prone! Sorry won't be signing next season. MacDonald can go back to Burnley today, terrible.

Just curious mate. Has Symes iimproved your team since he joined?

Symes imho has done ok since he arrived. A couple of goals and some good hold up play - he's also had a couple of not so good games. A good player but no better than any of the strikers we already have so I wouldn't pay him what he's allegedly on!

Thanks for that, and good luck.

Derby have made an approach for Leicester striker Martyn Waghorn. Waghorn is out of contract at the end of the season and Nigel Clough is hoping a pre-contract agreement can be reached soon.

So do most leicester fans

Quality player. Tore us apart this season at their place. Sign him and Martin up.

Guy Whittingham has revealed that he is not affraid to dive into the Non-league for players next season. After fears so of the youngsters could be snapped up in the summer it has been reported that he is looking at certain players from the local area clubs such as Gosport and Havant and Waterlooville. One player that is on his radar, is Blue Square South's top goalscorer Ollie Palmer. Guy has stated that he has been impressed with the striker, but will be aiming to keep as many of his current players before he signs replacements.

He has also been interested in ex-Pompey trailist Sammy Igeo, who has been helping Gosport's record breaking 21 game unbeaten streak in the Evostik Southern Division, and Gosport top scorer Justin Bennet. Gosport now lie 4th in their league and could be in with a chance of promotion.

Just got off the phone to someone who knows PL very well.
She says that if Aston Villa stay up (which now seems likely) and Ipswich Town go down (a good possibility) then Anthony Wordsworth will be at the Villa next season.
Wordsworth was getting rave reviews at Ipswich until he got injured and his injury has seen Ipswich from drop again.
Apparently PL was his boss at Colchester and made him captain. Could be the creative spark our midfield needs for a push up the table.
Come on the Villa

One win doesnot keep you in the premier especially if you lose this week.

Haha laughed when I read villa staying up now seems likely. what because they won one game?

Hardly rave reviews at Ipswich. One game as sub and one game started when he went off injured within 20 mins and is out of action for several weeks.

Why didn't they bid for him in Jan when he was going cheap, will be worth more now as under longer contract! Rave reviews? The bloke hasn't played a whole game yet!

16 Mar 2013 14:34:08
If they win against QPR they will be going for champions league qualification, ha. delusional or what?

Pl was never his manager!! incorrect facts, and wordworth as hardly played at ipswich!!

18 Mar 2013 21:27:00
rave reviews? he came on as a sub once and then started once and lasted 20 minutes and hasn't played since. Who writes this stuff?

He did play for Paul Lambert at Colchester. GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT!

Plymouth Argyle are in talks with Leyton Orient about signing Dave Mooney on loan till the end of the season.

Although Mooney tries hard, he needs twenty chances to score once.
He may have an injury at present, so can't see this happening, Although I can see Slade off-loading Mooney, if he can bring someone better in.
