Just heard throught the grapevine that the deal to bring Steven Fletcher to Celtic will be announced 24 hours after the appointment of Tony Mowbray. Also heard that Celtic are after 4 players from Eastern Europe and a couple form England the names I have so far are,

Tony Mowbray has spent the last couple of weeks assessing the Celtic squad, and through a friend I can reveal, that several players will leave and only a few will come in, as Tony thinks there is a lot of talent in the reserves such as Ferry and Hutchinson who are ready to come in.

With Tony Mowbray being officially confirmed as Celtic manager this week, he is moving fast in the transfer market as his targets have already been sought out. James Morrison £3m, James McCarthy £1m, Steven Fletcher £2.5m and suprisingly Derek Riordan £1m. Scott McDonald will be sold as Mowbray hates slow fat strikers and he will look to offload at least Samaras, Donati, Flood and Naylor to join Balde (Birmingham), Hartley (Hearts) and big Vinegar. Chris Killen will be given a chance as will Ben Huchison and Paddy McCourt. Rangers fans will be delighted with Billy Mehmet being their biggest summer signing for 500k.

Accrington Stanley are in talks with David Fish, owner of United Biscuits, over a shock takeover of the cash strapped club. Rafa's top targets for a right back are Glen Johnson for £16.5m, Darijo Srna for £13m and Rafinha for £7.5m. His top targets for a left winger are David Silva for £22.5m, Ashley Young for £17m and Michel Bastos for £9m.Dossena will join Juventus for £7m. Voronin will join Wolfsburg for 4m. Lucas will join Atletico Madrid for 7m
Man utd are interested in signing David Villa for a ENGLISH TRANSFER RECORD of £45m. Fergie has also tied up a deal for Antonio Valencia for £23m. His last target is Victor Valdes and is willing to pay £22m for the Spanish Keeper.Dodo and Douglas Costa will be their Brazillian imports for the summer for £20m.Tevez will go to Chelsea for £28m and Ronaldo is obviously going to Madrid.
Chelsea boss Ancelotti wants to rid of most of the Portuguese contingent at the Blues. Ricardo Carvalho and Deco are going to be part of a deal that takes Maicon to Chelsea from Inter in a £15m plus Carvalho and Deco. Yuri Zhrikov is finally going to go to Chelsea for £18m. I'm going to post some actual rumours (you know those things that are said amongst people who have heard something from somebody and end up spreading across the city/country – not just my dreamteam wishlist for next season!)
LFC RUMOURS – sorry no suprises here –
Liverpool have made a bid for Glen Johnson though to be about £18m (but Portsmouth still owe them money from Crouch deal) Rafa is hoping Johnson will choose the reds over the likes of Chelsea and City as this will show his desire to play for the club – an important part of rafa's recruitment policy.
Liverpool have also made a £6m bid for Alvaro Negredo though there is some concern that Real Madrid will not do business with Liverpool if they refuse to sell them Xabi Alonso (who is not for sale along with Mascherano) Rafa sees Negredo as an ideal striker to play alongside or in absence of Torres but is still young enough to develop and would not expect to start every game.
Liverpool are also making a bid for Carlos Tevez (on Monday or Tuesday this week) when they speak to his representatives – whilst they may be priced out by other clubs Rafa is hoping that Tevez will show a desire to achieve more success rather than taking the money at City and will be hoping the fact that Mascherano is at Anfield this may swing his vote – if not then again it will be for the best as Rafa will not want any player who is not fully dedicated to the cause.
That's it I'm afraid – Rafa is only after a striker or someone who can play in an attacking role and a right back. We will only make other signings if we are forced to sell (this will only happen if the right bids come in for Babel, Lucas or Dossena) only then will replacements be sought as Rafa wants to keep the squad together as much as possible.
Ipswich have enquired about taking David Ngog on loan for the next season but Rafa will wait until a striker has been purchased before making his decision.
Other rumours going around the city at the moment are that Everton will try to tempt Micheal Owen to Goodison making him their highest paid player but Owen's prefered destination is Manchester City or Aston Villa. Another one is that Manchester United will try to sign David Villa and offload Berbatov but I think we all know that Villa will stay in Spain and sign for Barca or Real.

Ok here’s the real news on the gunners transfer front:
Firstly the Vermaelen transfer has been completed; this will be announced later this week.
With regard to Sakho, he will also sign over the next or so, his agent has said he’s not leaving in an effort to get Wenger to up his bid.
Wenger is still chasing Hangeland for roughly 9 million.
He will hijack if you believe the papers 2 deals, Veloso to Bolton (don’t make me laugh) and the apparent bid from spurs for Huntelaar. The Veloso deal will go through if he doesn’t sign a holding midfielder in the shape of either Yaya or Inler. Huntelaar will sign for arsenal over spurs for two reasons, Wenger has chased him for nearly 3 years and van Persie plays for us, plus we can offer him champions league football. Just depends on how much spurs offer Madrid.
The two signings that I'm more excited about are Eden Hazard and Yohann Cabaye both from Lille. These will be completed just before the transfer deadline.

My brother works for SMPR consultants who do some of the Far East marketing for the club, and they've been given the heads up that LFC have tied up 2 deals already but have been told to release the info in conjunction with the press releases about the financial restructuring at the club (early July announcement apparently)
