Some Fresh news from the city ground, Bale deal is still on and the deal is looking more than likely to be concluded either tommorow (Thursday) or Friday, so in time for Blackpool, and another name that's going around at the moment is michael Ball a left back who is currently a free agent, formerly of man city, he has been linked with notts county but billy davies is interested, and the Leon cORT deal is still on but it is now between us and Middlesborough to get him, but the rumour is he is keen on a move here because its closer to home

You Heard it Here first

Gareth mcleary to sign on loan at leeds within the next 2 weeks.

forrest stopped a perminant deal happening at the last minute during the transfer window as they didn't sign their target and had no cover for injuries.

billy davies is happy to let him go out on loan with a 24hour recall clause.

leeds are set to wait until the end of the month so the loan takes him up until january where hopefully a perminant deal can be reached.

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has been lined up to face the axe by Managing Director Christian Purslow after George Gillett and Tom Hicks confirmed to him that they would like to see someone else take the helm.
Any poor set of results will see Benitez axed in such a way that it will be seen from the Spaniard's point of view as constructive dismissal, but lawyers of the American owners have seen cases like this thrown out and ignored, and that is how they will oust him. Purslow has already gagged Benitez, sitting in on press conferences so that the manager cannot tell the press off air about the situation at Liverpool. The recent praise of each other (Purslow and Rafa) is disgusting. Guus Hiddink has been approached about a role at Liverpool starting in the New Year, but this will be held until the summer of 2010 should Rafa still be there. Jose Mourinho is third on the shortlist, with Pep Guardiola seen as a good second choice surprisingly. Friends of Guardiola believe he will leave at the end of the season, he will not sign a contract extension, and they believe that he is at risk of burn out. Guardiola himself believes that his role at Barcelona was only ever going to be short term. Manchester United have also been touted as a possible destination for Guardiola.
Hiddink is first choice though, and they will try to oust Benitez within legal parameters, avoiding pay outs where possible. Hiddink becomes available on a free after Christmas due to his role with Russia coming to an end.
This is coming from a Wigan fan, and I have no real interest in Liverpool. Just keep watching the events there.

Derby are looking for a new gaffer after rumours emerged he layed into the whole team after the home defeat to barnsley, some players walked out including croft and bywater feelings are that the team are not playing for him anymore.

Well after being beaten by money city wenger as decided there is need for change and he is going to change his squad

Comrades!

I said at the end of the transfer window that I would not post on here again until the run–up to the January window unless I had important news.

Firstly, to the people who rubbished what I wrote about the EPL & UEFA player quota rules months ago and legal documents that I personally had seen. Who's laughing now?

Secondly, the rumours about Rafa flying out of the country just before season start. True. He did fly out. To a meeting in Switzerland. There were rumours he was in Spain with people from Real. He was. He took the oppurtunity to go via Spain and have a bevvy with some old mates. Nothing more, nothing less.

Thirdly, and I say this through gritted teeth, thos damn Yanks are in for the long haul, like it or lump it.

Fourthly, Standard Chartered shirt deal. It's £80M spread over 4 years. ALL of the money will be going to help with the new stadium and pay–down debt.

Fifthly, Next UEFA/EPL regulation will be regulating transfers – banning buying players on HP. All money will have to be paid in full at the time. Expect this to be announced some time i next 12 months.
Lastly, No big transfers by any of the EPL big 4 until after the World Cup. (Well three of the big 4. the fourth – Chelsea, aren't anyway).

Onwards To Revolutionary Glory!

Paul Benson of Dagenham & Redbridge is interesting Millwall. Millwall are looking at a loan deal until January and then paying £175k for Benson. The loan deal will be a guaranteed deal.
