Ferguson already tried with a bid for Bale in the summer. Levy laughed at david Gil and said not for sale.

Lennon laughed at united when they came in with a bid last Januray as well.(0)(0)

As an investment banker, I have some sad news for Blackburn.

My company (Rothschild's) is handling the Syed bid, and it is due to fail as the gentleman in question does not have the required funds to purchase the club.

The sellers (The Williams family) want 100% of the purchase upfront. These terms cannot be agreed upon with Mr. Syed, so the deal will shortly be called off.(7)(2)

Bale rebman u, just because united come calling you just think he's gonna go do you? get a life fella he turned all down with his im not going any where speech during the summer! the near mention of rooney leaving and u mugs are up in arms crying into your prawns! bale does in fact has a hate of the north lets face facts madrid are interested in bale and should he leave which he does not anyway who do u think he would choose? madrid with out even a thought! your days of take take take are over get a grip and move on

I'd like to mention that Valencia chose United over Madrid and I think that Bale would realise that Madrid DO NOT win anything anymore. United actually do. Maybe players have gone to Madrid over the summer but that would be a disadvantage to them. Why would Bale want to go on the bench? It would be likely he does. Ozil will go on the bench as soon as Kaka is fit again and Bale wouldn't be chosen over Khedira, Alonso and whoever Madrid have brought that I don't care about. This is because those lot are too over rated and Bale wouldn't play as well in the centre. Madrid just offer money, nothing else.(3)(1)

I heard similar, but that the investment was from an outsider buying out the stake of Mohammed Al-Fayed?

Don't Fulham have debts of 4 times the value of the club, due to the generosity of Mr Al-Fayed? That being the case, you're unsaleable unless he fancies writing off £100m

Depends what the bidder is offering I guess.

Mr. Al-Fayed is almost 80, same with Ken Bates of Leeds. They cannot keep financing their clubs forever - what happens if one of them dies soon?

As a Fulham fan, I welcome any new buyer/ owner IF they are prepared to back Mark Hughes and keep us in the top 10 of the Premiership. Anything else (Champions League) would be a bonus!(2)(1)

Interestingly, efforts are still continuing to take Ronaldinho to Los Angeles - with a target of January.

Ronaldinho Gaucho to Utd simply because he is already fed up with playing for AC Milan and the arrival of Robinho to the club he is being linked with a move away, Fergie might just take a bargain and move for him and get him back into shape and form, he could be a top player under Ferguson's guidance and give experience to Obertan, Nani and Bebe

LMFAO! ! ! ! ! First of all. Ronaldinho has gotten himself into GREAT SHAPE. He's in great form and did this for Milan. Watch the Serie A before typing. Milan would never sell there best player and Ronaldinho is loving it at Milan.

You mean that if Chris Riggott signs for Cardiff, Cardiff will loan Paul Quinn to Swindon?

Just asking. Sounds plausible, League 1 is probably Quinn's standard.

If United come in with a big bid for Bale, then of course he would be interested, for all the reasons given by a previous poster and irrespective of what he may have said about living in the North. However, that is not the real issue. It won't matter what Bale wants. All that will matter is what Tottenham wants.

They won't sell one of their biggest current assets unless they get a ridiculously large fee. One that United won't (or can't) pay. Fabregas clearly wants to go to Barcelona, but is still at Arsenal - for the same reason.

Incidentally, is this the same Bale that half-a-dozen people on this site were confidently predicting would be dumped in January for whatever piffling fee any piffling club was willing to pay?

Bale to man utd? whilst he's over here theirs more chance of finding the pope in a soho brothel lol y would he go? he has a dislike of the north

You think Bale wouldn't go to Man Utd, who are the most successful team in England in modern times.
A chance to work with arguably the best managers of all time, a welsh footballing icon, along with other massive footballing talents, huge world class stadium with state of the art training facilities, great youth culture, World wide reputation, epic fan base, always challenging for the title, consistently do well in CL and other competitions, realistic chance of winning major honours, and contrary to popular belief, do have money to spend and are very much a world footballing powerhouse that has fantastic history and has seen players like, Giggs, Cantona, Law, Charlton, Robson, Schmeichel, Keane, Best. The list goes on and on. . they also bring through more premiership standard players than any other club in England.

BUT he doesn't like the north, so he'll stay right?!
Get a grip and some perspective on things. . (49)(12)

"Swindon are set to announce the following new players at the County Ground, following Jeremy Wray successfully floating his business on the stock market:

Kevin McLeod, Bryan Hughes, Darren Powell, Len Pidgeley and Febian Brandy.

McLeod is the only one good enough. Powell is past it and Hughes is heading to Grimsby with Brandy going to Swansea (this is actually true, I know Brendan Rodgers and Brandy is a player he wants at Swansea, although he's also looking at Darius Vassell).

Pidgeley is at best a good League 2 'keeper, and would not benefit Swindon.

Paul Quinn moving to Swindon if Chris Riggott signs for them.(15)(28)

Avram grant is about to be sacked and dave jones is taking over west ham

Wouldn't be surprised if Grant left West Ham, but David Jones would be daft to leave a safe job at Cardiff.

The two clubs could pass each other at the end of the season, and I don't think Jones wants to take over a Premiership club heading to the Championship when he could be taking Cardiff INTO the Premiership.

West Ham is a poisoned chalice of a job - the owners are total attention-seeking prats and whoever takes over there will need nerves of steel. Maybe Slaven Billic, but no guarantee he'd want the job.(48)(30)
