To the chap who said Zola is staying at Upton Park.

Sorry mate, you got it wrong.

Zola's fallen out big time with Mr. Porn and Mr. Ann Summers, and I've heard that he's considering opportunities abroad.

Plus, there's a big rumour going round that Steve Coppell is being touted for the West Ham job, and don't rule out a return from Alan Curbishley either.

An old school pal & fellow Bluenose now living in Germany who regularly goes to watch Borussia Dortmund text me after their game against Frankfurt last Sunday and told me he saw Paul Montgomery apparently checking out Neven Subotic taking many notes & now that Utd & Chelsea have denied their interest maybe we have a future Blues star on his way?

After a turnaround of nearly 17 million from the same period of last year rangers are heading in the right direction. Administration haha sorry just had to laugh at the optimistic Celtic fans.
Expect signings in the summer however not many! a few shrewd buys on the way– Tuffy and Kyle to name two.

17 Feb 2010 19:11:09
I work near Old Trafford and catch daily lunchtime gossip from employees on break. The club is excited by news that the Glazers will beat out Sevilla and Arsenal this summer for the signature of left back / left winger İsmail Köybaşı.

17 Feb 2010 18:23:33
To answer the erlier query mowbray has offered to resign AT LEAST twice and this has been rejected. it is true that he had no idea about several of the signings in jan. Ki, Keane, Hooiveld and Rogne were not signed by him. Hooiveld and Rogne identified and signed on the say–so of chief scout John Park as was Ki who was identified last year under Strachan's time and lest we forget that Nakamura was signed on the say–so by Park, Strachan had never heard of him but that worked out fairly well!! Keane signed at last minute by Dermot Desmond and Kamara would not have been signed had Mowbray known anything about Keane. Kamara was signed on the saturday before being announced on the monday. have heard that if Mowbray offers to resign again it WILL be accepted.

REAL CELTIC NEWS , The club have brought in keane, kamara, and other loans for 1 reason, tony mowbray will be gone by the summer or maybe even earlier depending on results!. The club have been in talks regarding who will replace mowbray top target is mark hughes, virtually celtic havent spent any money in the transfer window but there is a substantial amount of money available for the new manager. PRESS reports of losses of 3m are wide of the mark , caldwell 1.1m , mcdonald 3.6m , mcmanus ? would cover even those reported losses. So expect hughes to take–over the currnt squad in the next few weeks. In 4 years at blackburn they made 3 fa cup semi–finals and europe for the 1st time in 40 years, leaving them in 7th place in his final year, on a very small budget. jrnourno ruabon wrexham wales!

17 Feb 2010 18:32:04
Leicester will make 2 loan signings in the next 2 weeks, they will both be big names, the first being Koumas and an even bigger shock, they will sign Pavlychenko on a 3 month loan deal from Spurs with a 24 hour recall option

17 Feb 2010 16:48:03
Okayy rumours..ronaldinho is going to man city this summer, robinho will be joining him as he returns from loan.

for manu..no strikers being brought in. rooney, berbatov is going to stay unless madrid offer a deal for him with benzema goin the other way. also macheda and welbeck are going to start and play a lot games.
midfield, no one is going to be brought in as saf feels carrick and fletcher are both maturing consiberably at the moment, park and scholes to be used less frequently as anderson and gibson try and prove themselves, nani, giggs, and valencia are to be used wen the type of game is right for them.
defense. at the back, rafael is really coming along at right back, vidic to stay, ferdinand to get back to normal him, evra to carry on as worlds best left back, evans and smalling are replacements for the former two and will play accordingly, brown and o shea to be used as need.
keeper, vds to carry on playing for another season, possibly another top keeper being brought in, but maybe saf will be just content with kuschak and foster.

School of cp more like! Rangers have just posted £13 million profit plus bank are more than happy with current payment plan. With more champions league money looking likely why would the bank risk loosing out on this?

Real rumours boughy and mcgregor to leave in summer regardless if takeover or not walter will stay on till the club gets a new owner and will be given a small amount of cash to strengten prob couple of million dependent on player sales Boyd will sign along with novo and Bigfoot.

10 clear and not broke sweat!

LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB NEWS.

FUTURE OF MASCHERANO, BENITEZ, AND GILLETT/HICKS.

Javier Mascherano is set to seal a £20million move to FC Barcelona in the summer. Yaya Toure will be moving to Liverpool FC in exchange, bringing the total cost of the operation to £32million. Cesc Fabregas will be signed in the summer of 2011, with the view of evaluating Xavi's position in the FC Barcelona XI.

If Rafael Benitez decides to terminate his pre–contract agreement with Juventus (there will be no cost to either party for this termination), then he will earmark Joe Cole and Gareth Barry to join in the summer.

Albert Riera will leave Liverpool in the summer, and it is believed that this will aid in funding the Joe Cole and Gareth Barry deals.

Rafael Benitez has also earmarked Simon Kjaer, Steven Taylor, and Juan Mata, and may persue Taylor to make up for the English quota, and potentially could be cheaper. Yossi Benayoun is pushing for a move to Russia, whilst Ryan Babel will finally be offloaded.

Liverpool have contacted potential managers over taking the reins should Benitez allow his pre–contract with Juventus to stand, and likewise with Juventus. Jose Mourinho, Martin O'Neill, Frank Rikjaard, and Alex McLeish have been advised to be potential candidates by Christian Purslow and Kenny Dalglish. However, I must stress that all managers mentioned have been informed that the Liverpool job being available is only 50/50, and that potential summer investment could vary these odds. Liverpool are not seeking to sack Rafael Benitez due to the main priority of seeking investment.
George Gillett and Tom Hicks would like stability during the season, but along with Purslow, have also drawn up plans just in case their shareholding has not been reduced come the summer.

17 Feb 2010 15:22:00
The Leicester city loanee martyn 'the wagster' waghorn snubbed a permanent move in january at the very last minute as a result of the news of potential sunderland striker cabanas being shot in the head–he believed this left the door open for him to earn a place in the sunderland 11. However he has been told in no uncertain terms now that he has no future in the north east, as a result Leicester are favourites to sign him, although there is interest from ipswich with his old manager keane keeping tabs on him, and also hibs keeping an eye.

You heard it here first . Luka Modric is on his way to old trafford in the summer in a part exchange deal with dimitar berbatov . Ferguson is getting frustrated with the bulgarian attitude and lack of goals since his 32 million switch to the red devils and has singled out modric to be his top target this summer to add creativity to united faultering midfield .

Mancini has singled out inter starlet mario balotelli as his main target in this summer transfers window his sees the powerful frontman a key acquistion in breaking the top four stranglehold next season.

Chelsea are to have a massive clearout in the next ransfer window getting rid of carvalho ballack and yes anelka and replacing these with subotic di maria and aguero.

you heard it here first alexander mottram LFC

For all those quoting Spanish media regarding the imminent departure of Cesc Fabregas..you need to put down the crack pipe. Seriously.

Marca, Sport, and the rest of the Spanish media have one goal..to assist Barca in tapping up of the Arsenal captain. They're not concerned with reporting anything approaching the truth, only constantly issuing a stream of "reports" that Cesc is leaving, with no basis in fact behind them.

Arsenal ins this summer: 1 GK, 1 CB and 1 DM + Chamakh & maybe Lacina Traore.

Arsenal outs: Eduardo on loan to regain first team fitness for a season, Sylvestre (free), Gallas (sadly), Merida (free) + various loans of younger players.

17 Feb 2010 12:36:23
Hibernian will close the old stand in the next couple of weeks to begin the building of a new stand which meets Uefa regulations. This is dependant on a 2 million pound loan from Lloyds. The bank however are dragging their heals on the loan as they fear a backlash from other clubs who the bank have called in debts (Killie 9 mill, Gers 34 mill). The bank also want a clause written in to the loan that if Hibs sell any player while the loan is outstanding 15% of any transfer go straight to the bank.

17 Feb 2010 12:30:06
Fact Cesc Fabregas to Barca for 46 mil euro (www.sport.es)
The next transfer will be Ribery for 34 mil euro

17 Feb 2010 10:34:05

malouda to lyon for 15m
kalou to inter milan for 14m
ivanovic to real madrid for 16m

17 Feb 2010 02:47:14
Pompey are likely to avoid a winding up order tomorrow, but will be told that once the season ends they will have to repay all debts.

If all debts aren't cleared by Noon of Tuesday June 15th then the club will cease to exist and The Championship will only consist of 23 teams for Season 2010/11.

However, there will be nothing to stop Havant & Waterlooville renaming themselves as Portsmouth United and moving back into the city in a few years.

Fratton Park would be bulldozed for housing or for extending the railway depot (maybe a combination of both).

However, these are worse case scenarios and it is more than likely a new buyer will be found and the debt restructured. The parachute money will pay off a substantial part of this debt, but as previously posted £15m or so will remain.

This debt would be manageable, depending on player sales, and could even be halved if new equity channels were opened by building a new stadium on Brownsea Island. This option is still open, but until finance levels are more solid it's very much in the future.

Portsmouth are in for a few difficult years, but I suspect that come 2012/13 they will be back in the big time.

17 Feb 2010 00:23:36
Arsene Wenger is interested in signing DF Jasper Vermeerbergen of Belgian club Beveren.
