There was a guy who said Paolo Di Canio will be playing for Udinese next season, he has already signed for Cisco Roma. David Villa-Liverpool has been mentioned in other papers, just not the echo. As an LFC supporter, I am glad that Rafael Benitez will try to take advantage of Juventus' sale of players(as a result of them being relegated), he will try to sign Zambrotta on loan. I live in the South unfortunately and so am unable to get to that many Liverpool games. However, the other week I did meet one of the head members of the Liverpool supporters branch. He works for Liverpool and is responsible for promoting Liverpool in the area. He said he got the job because his friend put in a good word. His friend is an accountant at Liverpool. He worked on the budget and claims Liverpool have more than they claim to. This is because Benitez was holding out for a larger budget when he gave Liverpool and ultimateum concerning the budget and his contract. Funny enough, Benitez signed a new contract, meaning his ultimateum must have been met. Liverpool are confident of having a takeover bid confirmed, and Benitez is already planning how to spend the money. It has not been announced to keep the value of players down. He also had informatives keeping him up to date about the italian scandal. He was quitely confident that he could take two or three players from Juve. He merely used Alves and Kuyt as smoke screens. Do not get me wrong, he was interested but only enquired. He even bid 10.4 million for Alves and 8.6 million for Kuyt. This was left open ended, meaning Sevilla and Feyenord can get back to Liverpool. They may, at last minute cash in having lost interest since the italian scandal where as they once had control over the transfer and the cost, yet now Benitez is in control.
I guess now, you want to know who he is trying to budget for. Well, at the moment he is trying to clear out and save on the larger wages, i.e. Hamann (40,000 p/w), Cisse (60,000 p/w), Cheyrou (37,500 p/w), Morientes (60,000) and now he is trying to get rid of Kewell (60,000).
Now for the interesting part, these are Benitez's plans: Alves (10.4), Kuyt (8.6), Wright-Phillips (loan), Zambrotta (5.5), Trezegeut (8 or loan), Camoronesi (3.5), Guti (4), Benayoun (comment made to attract interest - no known interest), Pennant (3.5) and Zapator (2).

Man Utd News- SAF has opened talks with torres after atletico accepted a £27.5m offer. while lyon have made a £13m bid for saha and mikel and real are leading the chase after bidding £13.5m for RVN. SAF has been on the phone with juve for a few weeks now trying to get ahead and wants to take trezeguet and vieira on a years loan with an option of another year or a sale, he is also looking at toni, cannavaro, needved and thuram. SAF will also offer juve first option on all there players who they wish to sell or loan and rossi could well be moving to juve on loan as could pique.

I stand on firm ground to confirm that the majority if not all of Manchester United's signings will come from Italy. As we all know, Juventus, Lazio and Fiorentina have been demoted to Serie B however Milan have survived. However, despite their survival, Milan will not be able to keep all of their top players due to the fact that they have been suspended from the Uefa Champions League, so they cannot afford to keep them. Andrea Pirlo and Gennaro Ivan Gattuso will be sold off to Manchester United in a few days because Milan want to get them off their wage bill A.S.A.P. Kaka will be joining Real Madrid for a fee of approximately 23.5 million pounds including future clauses. Milan will also have a 15% share from the next sale. Regarding Juventus, Cannavaro has signed a preliminary contract with Chelsea however, he will break it in order to join former coach Fabio Cappello at Real Madrid. Ibrahimovic's final destination is unknown because lucrative offers from various clubs(English, Italian and Spanish) have been laid on the table. He also has to take into consideration his family who are reluctant to leave Italy.Del Piero will however stay faithful to the Old Lady and will remain at the Della Alpi for as long as the club want him. I work in a Spanish restaurant in Liverpool City Centre and it is not uncommon for a few of the local Spanish lads , including Rafael Benitez, to come in for a meal once in a while. Well Benitez , Garcia who had just returned from Germany and a guy who i presume was his agent were seated in the usual table reserved for special clients. Well a lot of what they said was in Spanish as you can imagine but they also spoke in some broken english and i managed to hear that Luis Garcia is definitely looking for a transfer back home to Spain and Rafa has agreed to this if he can aquire the services of David Villa in part exchange - this he said was looking very positive. I know this is an ongoing rumour on here but just before they left i heard a startling fact from Rafa's own lips - he said he had already agreed a fee with Real Madrid for David Beckham which i must agree will solve the right wing problam for a season or two. Just remember i heard it from the Gaffer's mouth and you heard it here first !!!
Free Agent and ex-Blackburn and Wigan star, David Thompson will travel to the Midlands this week to have talks with 2 Championship clubs - West Brom and Coventry.
