What is wrong with all you deluded Liverpool fans who think that all they have to do is mention a player's name and he will come running to join you. I thought that was Man Utd's trick! Did you not read what Niall Quinn said and I quote:
"Kenwyne Jones knows exactly what I think of him. I love him as a footballer. He's got the complete package and if things work out for him in the second half of the season, he's vital to us. Behind the scenes agents may be setting up things with football clubs, but it happens today. We don't want to get rid of anybody at the football club."
He signed a new contract at the start of this season and it would cost far more than what a bankrupt Liverpool could afford to buy him. Don't get me wrong, I am not having a go at LFC as I have always had a bit of a soft spot for them mainly because in my 47 years as a Sunderland supporter, I believe that Liverpool have always tried to play football the right way. As far as Sunderland are concerned these are some of the players I believe could join us in this Transfer Window:
Allan Johnson (Middlesbrough).
Maynor Figueroa (Wigan).
Salvador Cabanas (Mexican America).
Kevin–Prince Boateng (Portsmouth).
Guy Demel (Hamburg SV).
Victor Moses (Crystal Palace).

I was at the Bristol City V Preston North End game before the game I saw Gary Hooper and got his autograph I asked if he was signing for us and he sed I can't reveal anything you'll have to wait and see. That surely can only mean one thing he's gotta be signing for the Robins

I don't know why, but Steve Bruce has let Kenwyne Jones join Liverpool on LOAN!! God knows why, but Kenwyne passed his medical today (MON) and will sign tomorrow (TUE) 100% true.
Sunderland still have Frazier Campbell to partner Bent but big Ken will be a huge loss as a target man.

Benitez is trying everything not to lose gerrard, sammy lee will be shown the door sooner rather than later. Rafa has been back in contact with Pako Ayesteran but he is reluctant to return until the summer as he is not sure about rafa's future and doesn't want to join a "sinking ship" in the mean time Dalglish will be asked to spend some time on the training pitch as all the players and staff respect his opinion. including rafa. bye bye yes man.

To Mr C

I agree, Liverpool fans are indeed loyal – I mean its been a while now, hasn't it, since the good times? And I agree, I bet there are a fair few hundred United fans who would jump ship if we had it as bad as you boys right now. Shame on them, fairplay to you lot. However, Torres career IS grinding to a premature halt – he is under–achieving, at an under–achieving club, and this will only happen for so long. I do enjoy the glory hunting accusations thrown at United fans – I'm convinced this term was invented by Liverpool fans who were gutted the glory had left Anfield. I love nothing more than a Lpool fan in their 30s–40s calling me a glory hunter(this part isn't aimed at you, btw Mr C), as it makes me laugh to think that when they discovered football, Liverpool were the all–conquering world force! The original glory hunters ladies and gentlemen!
Babel to Galatasaray plus £4m for Turan (good signing by the way)
Mascherano, Torres to both leave in the summer. And mate, I would lose 4–0 to your boys twice a season for 10years, so long as United were the ones scoring the silverware at the end of the season! As I said, small victories

@ 18 Jan 2010 15:15:44
A players worst nightmare is the premature ending of his footballing career, not a bad season with a great team anybody in the world would love to play for. As for the over–dramatized situation you are presenting don't believe everything you read in the papers.
Your desperate efforts to discourage us amuse me. It pisses you off doesn't it, knowing that if Man Utd was in our situation your "loyal" fans would've gave up on the club and would start cheering for Real or Barcelona, whereas Liverpool fans stick with their team no matter what, during good times and bad.
As for Torres leaving that is a possibility, a remote one but a possibility nevertheless, unfortunately for you mancs it won't be the end of us because at the end of the day Liverpool You'll Never Walk Alone. You see, no–matter what we'll be here, year, after year, after year, kicking your ass and enjoying it oh so much.
MR.C

18 Jan 2010 17:53:59
Right, lets get a few things straight! Your right Torres was a boyhood Athletico fan, but read his autobiography LFC was also a dream for him. To say he will never leave is naive. BUT he will not go now or in the summer– FACT. So stop dreaming! As for Gerrard dunno whats going on but theres no smoke without fire, however i very much doubt he'll leave especially not in January, halfway through a world cup season! Reds fans have been hereing rumours about takeovers for a couple of years now, but at the moment its slightly different the rumours are a lot stronger and the owners are actively touting for investment. I have heard that Gillet will be gone before the summer and whoever is buying is still trying for Hicks's shares.
Transfers–
Babel to Galatasaray p/ex for Arda Turan plus add ons for goals scored.
pre–contract for Chamakh in the summer, and that will be that i reckon!!!
Arda Turan

Leon Best Is close to signing for Burnley for around 1M plus 500,000 if Burnley stay up

Also Burnley will bid for Sammy Clingan in the summer only if Burnley stay up

Also Expect Robbie Blake to sign for Notts Forest On Loan after being told by brian Laws he has no future at burnley and will not be offered a deal at the end of the season

18 Jan 2010 18:11:44
My great uncle works in a music shoppe in Manchester and sold a violin bow, some sheet music, and a couple of guitar picks to Mancini this morning. Mancini and the oil sheiks have decided that instead of selling Robinho, they need to bring his old buddy Diego in from Juventus to make him click. Diego to Man City for 15.5 million Euros. You heard it here first.

18 Jan 2010 18:20:54
Just to confirm what many have been saying about Liverpool.

Gerrard had a MASSIVE bust up at half time in the Reading game regarding the Torres substitution. Basically, he has been suspended without pay for 2 weeks, and is now considering his future. He won't go to any other English club, because he loves Liverpool, but if he does decide to move on, then Real Madrid or Inter Milan are the likely destinations.

The thing that many fans on here are missing is that Gerrard was infact right, and Torres had no problem whatsoever with his knee – this is being used as a smoke screen so that nobody gets suspicious of the above bust–up. In reality, Torres is having an operation on the groin injury that has troubled him all season.

Back to Gerrard. If he leaves, then Torres will go too, that is a fact. The only thing that is keeping Stevie at the club at the moment is the hope that Rafa gets the boot in the summer. The sacking will happen then, and only then, IF Liverpool fail to make the top 4 – that is the clause in his contact, and it means that it can therefore be done "on the cheap".

On to signings:
Rafa was hoping to bring in Kenwynne Jones on loan until the end of the season, with a view to buy in the summer. The offer was £3m now, which was non–refundable, with a further £10m in the summer should Liverpool make the top 4 and Rafa still be in a job. The reason a loan deal was being offered, was 2 fold:
a) So that any new manager (that would come in if Liverpool didn't make the Top 4) could send Jones back if he didn't want him.
b) Liverpool could only afford £3m now – the rest can only be paid should a new investor / owner arrive.

It is correct however, that Steve Bruce rejected the offer out of hand. However, Rafa is still confident that the deal can go through – mainly because the offer has gone public. This has meant that Jones himself has got wind of it and is likely to express his desire to play at Anfield. He will, whether Mackems like it or not, see Liverpool as a step up, and would relish the 6 month loan to prove himself at a BIG club, and play alongside messers Gerrard and Torres.

The only other deal that Rafa is looking at, is Arda Turan. This, as someone got correct earlier, is Ryan Babel + £3m.

Basically, as those of you that can add up will have realised, indicates that Liverpool have (at the moment) got £6m to spend this January. This is the money from the sales of Dossenna and Voronin.

Id also just like to say, "well done" to the person who said theat Liverpool had a deal lined up to sign Sergio Aguero last summer – you are 100% right. Many of you will remember that Rafa talked about making a BIG signing that would shock Ferguson. This was the one. However, the plug was pulled when The Yanks couldnt get the finance deal sorted with the banks that they wanted. The consolation for Liverpool fans is that a deal was struck, whereby Liverpool are the only team who can buy him, and the price remains the same until after this summers World Cup.

Finally, is it just me that is lauging at all the Spurs fans who are getting on their high horses all of a sudden? The fact is that you are having, by your own admission, an "excellent" season, and Liverpool, by their own admission are having a "poor" season. However, when Liverpool beat Spurs on Wednesday at Anfield, the gap between the 2 clubs will be down to just one point in the league.
Yes, you are having a good season, but you were bound to have one eventually, having spent on a par with the top 4 for the last 5 years, yet achieved nothing.

As for whether you will believe anything that I have written, its entirely upto you. But I have confidence in what I am saying and I also have confidence that the best will rise to the top in the end.

Over and out. King Gaz.

Some rumours from my agent:
Liverpool will not be selling Gerrard or Torres and Benitez will not be sacked. It's pathetic to see so–called Liverpool backing their manager when they are doing good saying he is the best in the world or no–one can replace the mighty Rafa etc. The real problem is the owners. How is Rafa going to improve with nothing to spend. Selling Alonso was a mistake, buying Aquilani was a bigger one. If Gerrard were to leave, how could you blame him? He is stuck at a club that is heading nowhere with a tight owners. Anyway the race to sign Moses is heating up with Villa, Fulham, Spurs, Man City and Madrid the front runners. He will probably end up at City or Madrid but if I were him I would join Villa or Fulham. At Fulham he would still be in London near his Family and would probably start a few games with Zamora and Dempsey injured and at Villa he would almost certainly get a fair chance and would work with a great english manager. As a Palace fan I would hate him to go to Spurs after what happened with Bostock. Man City will buy Ansaldi for 6m and Danny on loan. West Ham will sign Gudjohnsen on loan. Arsenal could make a shock move for McCarthy on loan or 2m. Beattie will join Blackburn if McCarthy does move. Benjani may move to Stoke to boost their frontline. Finally Everton are looking to secure the loans of Senderos and Reyes. Also a suprise move for Flamini may happen. Please Post as this took me ages. Over and out, Gary J.

18 Jan 2010 18:45:32
I have just heard that Joe Cole could be on his way back to West Ham either in this window or in the summer.

18 Jan 2010 18:49:38
Fabricio Coloccini was in the Beatles story on Friday with another well dressed gentleman?
When quized by a member of staff what was he doing in Liverpool, "no comment" Could be Liverpool, most likly Everton.

Celtic

Senderos deal all but done. McManus interesting three championship sides Ipswich Newcastle and Middlesborough.

Celtic now saying McGeady has a price, expect business to be down at 9 million.

Expect TM to be sacked if Celtic fail to win the League.

18 Jan 2010 18:50:46
Sheffield United News

Yeates deal in doubt, player not convinced, wants to see if another team who suit his style more come in for him, wgs wants rid and there are no other offers on the table, don't be surprised if this one turns into a loan deal rather than a full transfer.
Billy Sharp is due for talks with Burnley on tuesday, a deal has NOT been agreed, blades won't accept less than £2m, wait to see of Burnley will go that high.
Kilgallon waiting for Everton to bid, they are the only team who have declared an interest that he would join before the summer.
Edman will only arrive if Kilgallon leaves.
Naughton would like to return on loan but his wages are prohibitive, Blades want spurs to joint fund, Spurs would prefer to loan him to Hull
Finally Tudgay deal is dead, KB believed he was massively over priced and is fairly happy with his attacking options anyway

BARCA:

Bojan will NOT join Celtic, despite some idiot typing that up today on this site, as he doesn't want to leave Barca, let alone Spain.

David Villa already signed up in this window? FCB website has Villa on the list of top strikers in Europe down as a Barca player.

18 Jan 2010 19:08:32
Man.United have found a buyer, while they were in the middle east.Deal should be done by May.Next Season will be Fergies final season and it will be a transition season so Mourinho won't have to do it when he takes over

Regarding the below:–

18 Jan 2010 15:47:50
RAFA'S SITUATION:
To all those saying Rafa will be sacked...shut up!.Rafa was supposed to sign Aguero in the summer for 39mil euros but the owners put the cash towards debt.I also have some inside info about Rafa's contract. There is a clause in his contract that if Liverpool fail to enter the knoctout stages of CL and(or)finish below top 4, he can sacked(without compensation). But this is not going to happen because a clause in his contract also states that any money raised from sales should be given back to spend and this wasn't the case last time(contract extentions are not part of transfer budget as per the clause).Bottomline–Rafa is not leaving.
NEW INVESTMENT:
It is 100% certain sure that LFC WILL get new investment before the summer transfer window.Mohammed bin Rashid al–Maktoum, dubai PM is still very keen on buying GG&TH out.Other suitors include GMR owner Mallikarjuna Rao of India, Kharafi Group of Kuwait, F6 group, Vijay Mallya of KINGFISHER, Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud of KINGDOM HOLDING COMPANY(RICHEST ARAB ALIVE).Sheikh Zayed of the United Arab Emirates.
TRANSFERS:
It is sure that Aguero is joining in the summer

This story has been around the sports newsrooms of the press for some time, but it has proved impossible to get confirmation of its truth via the usual sources, but something is definatly aabout to happen along these line. The full list of possible buyer varies from newsroom, to newsroom

Comrades!!

As promised, what was talked about in the corridors of pwer today. Again – as I speculated
yesterday, no earth–shattering news. In fact it's all pretty obvious really.

Torres will be out for a minimum of 6–8 weeks.

For this transfer window Liverpool are only looking at loan players and one purchase using money generated from the sale of Babel and others. They want to keep hold of as much money as possible. They may be, but only if it's exceptional value and they have no other options.

Americans main aim is now to maintain the value of their investment. They now realise that taking Rafa's 'War Kitty' off him in the summer (some £47M) to pay down debt was a mistake of collosal consequence. It scuppered the signing of one world–class player and two very good high profile players. The team, Rafa and the training staff had worked hard and had come second in the PL and believed they'd delivered their part of the bargain. By removing the funds to pay down the debt the owners accept that they have ruined the team's morale and accept that they undermined Rafa's position because he'd guarenteed to the team that these signings were coming only to have it trashed by what in hindsight was an extremely damaging decision.

Rafa is safe– he will not be fired. The owners accept that no manager of repute will want to replace him without guarentees over immediate transfer funding that neither they personally nor the club as a business can meet – the banks will not lend to any football club in the present climate. In addition they have breached some of the conditions in Rafa's contract and as a result – other than he is safe for 5 years, nearly all the terms and conditions are now void. He can now only be removed earlier if he's bought out or he goes voluntarily.

The Americans want out Gillete more so than Hicks, but not at a financial loss to themselves personally. The main aim therefore is to protect the value of their investment so that they can ultimately sell it on. To that end fourth place is a necessity. Below fourth and the club will not be worth what they borrowed to buy it. They have already been told as much by 'interested parties'.

They accept that they seriously under–estimated the fans passions in soccer not just at Liverpool but across Europe. There simply is not this level of passion about sports teams in North America. Hicks is bereft that his son was 'forced out'. He regarded his son as a man on the inside, in touch with the day–to–day affairs and they spoke daily. Now he is 'flying blind'.

Questions were raised about how good some of the Reserve and Academy players actually are and whether they could be accelerated into the first team to lift the pressure off some of the more senior players. Two names in particular were mentioned several times– Lauri Dalla Valli and David Amoo. They also floated the idea that if fourth place becomes too remote, some of the Academy/Reserve players should be given first team playing time in order to boost their value prior to selling them during the summer.

The Spurs game this midweek is now of an epic importance. Simply put, Liverpool must win to pull closer to Spurs. Should Spurs win then the odds on Liverpool taking fourth place are slim indeed. Even a draw favours Spurs as it will be another game gone and the gap will remain.

So in brief, Rafa is going nowhere, the Americans realise that they have screwed–up royaly, and no–one quite knows what to do other than pray Liverpool beat Spurs.

Liverpool is planning a swap deal involving Babel and cash for Huntelaar.

18 Jan 2010 19:43:52
Richard Scudamore has asked Mark Jacob and Peter Storrie to explain themselves, after Portsmouth FC threatened to sue the Premier League over money they feel is owed to them.

The Premier League authority is expected to counter sue the club as it feels that Portsmouth has not been forthcoming about its financial situation and may demand the resignations of Jacob, Storrie and other club directors banning them from involvement in football for life.

Gerald Krasner is being lined up as the administrator and the club will urgently be seeking a new investor.

18 Jan 2010 19:46:56
Chester will be wound up in court before the end of the month.

Vaughan has well and truly screwed the club and they will have to restart in either the Cheshire leagues or Cymru Alliance as most of their ground is in Wales.

To the idiot that said this "Hey guys, not put a post on here for a while now..

My family are very very close friends with the head scout at Nottingham Forest and although it pains me to say it the acquisitions panel have been talking since the start of january and the name that has come up more than any other is Kris 'Fatboy' Commons

Forest are going to make a 1 million bid for him to end his nightmare because he's looking for a way out of his derby hell

Also, Forest have accepted a bid from Bolton for Cohen and 3 Premiership teams have made good offers for Lee Camp, and if they can find a suitable replacement, they will reluctantly accept" your a are obviously jelous off derby being liked more by cloughie family you loser and you get the fat scottish reject haha. You probabli don't have anyfriends and are retarded if you think a club are going to bid for a player just so he is happy you idiot get a life u jelous piece of sht. Addison is a derby supporter so think again if you think that he is going to you sad fckers that talk about winnin the euro cup when you wasn't even born and if you were born at the time then you obviously still live with your mum and have nothing better to do.
Derby ins:–
Mackie 1mil
Brayford 400k
Campbell 500k
Johnson 800k
Dickov 250k
Outs:–
Hulse 3mil
Mcevely released from contract if he doesn't accept a new offer.

18 Jan 2010 17:06:59
St Mirren will move to sign Irish striker Graeme Barrett, formerly of Falkirk and Arsenal, who is available on a free transfer. The Buddies will also look to add current Hamilton and ex–Clyde midfielder Simon Mensing. It is also expected that Gus McPherson will add an ex–Dundee player to complete the set.

18 Jan 2010 17:17:09
I've just spotted Morten Gamst Pedersen at The Stadium Of Light.

Heard that he is signing next week, but Kenwyne Jones is off to Arsenal.

Bellamy might be loaned to Sunderland, but not sure if he'd want to sign (he was a Newcastle player not long ago, and he may want to stay at Man City).

18 Jan 2010 17:17:36
Point A) Rafa Benitez. Much has been documented of late about this fella. Yes he is heading down a dark path, one with a bloody great cliff at the end. Its over for him at Anfield, the only stumbling block is bringing in his replacement and paying him off! However, to suggest that Rafa will take the reins at Real Madrid is laughable. Manuel Pellegrini has built a side that is challenging for major honours in Spain and Europe – why would the board oust him for a man who is at this current moment the laughing stock of European football! Can you imagine the huge payout Pellegrini would hit them with, unfair dismissal etc. Rafa to Real isn't a rumour, its a sick joke!
Point B) Torres is a Liverpool fan. Torres grew up as an Atletico Madrid supporter. He left his boyhood idols to join a club he used to watch on TV – Liverpool. Torres is 25. He was born in 1984. Unless he has great memories as a 5yr old boy, he has seen little to impress him in the last 20yrs! Given that he would have been 10 in 1995, do you think he was blown away by Bjornebye, McAteer and Mark Walters? Move on to 2000, are we supposed to believe that he was wowed by Henchoz, Matteo and Berger? Gerrard and Owen were just emerging at this point before you start getting excited scousers! Torres WILL be off. The next 4 years will be crucial for him to win a title or a european cup. Imagine if he is part of a team that wins the world cup this summer and that's the only medal he's got! The gamble to stay at LFC for a player of his worth is way too much. Aside from Man City and at a push Chelsea nobody could afford his fee. I'd expect his dislike of Real Madrid to weigh heavy, but don't rule it out on that basis. What would you do if you were offered a 5yr deal on £150kpw? Barca could be his likely destination, although they would surely have to sell Ibrahimovic or one of Xavi/Iniesta to finance a bid.
Point C) Gerrard. Has been loyal to LFC for long enough. Chelsea beckons – he'll replace Ballack in the summer. A £30m offer will be enough, Liverpool could not refuse that kind of money without the Champions League slushfund!

18 Jan 2010 17:18:52
Just seen Nolberto Solano at Cardiff City Stadium.

18 Jan 2010 17:21:49
George Gillett Jnr & Tom Hicks are in serious talks with groups from the Middle East and India. Gillett is willing to sell his 50% stake but Hicks wants to keep 25% of the club. This issue is causing delays with a full takeover!

18 Jan 2010 17:25:00
Nottingham Forest News

Billy Davies is only interested in signing three players – neither of which want to come to Forest this Transfer Window. Possibly some Loan signings to come with a view of becoming permanent should we get promoted – However Nigel Doughty does not wish to take the Club to the Premiership yet – he would prefer to consolidate and improve the Squad in the Summer with a view of going up 2010/11 Season. Billy is not in full agreement with Nigel on this and could possibly walk away if a better Job Offer is received. I have been given no player names and therefore I will not make them up – if I hear anything else I'll let you all know !!!!!

18 Jan 2010 17:38:58
Why is Christian Nade being prostituted between Rangers and Celtic when everyone who follows SPL football knows he's murder? Sure, he's can hold up a ball but jesus christ, he's even worse than Samaras! He also just come out of something like a 14 month barren spell of goals. Yup, Walter Smith and Tony Mowbray are falling over each other to sign him. okay then!

My predictions – Celtic will sell, Celtic will buy and Rangers will still win the league! Nade will still be playing for Hearts :D

18 Jan 2010 17:40:26
Mark hughes to become the new notts county manager he will sign on wednesday

18 Jan 2010 15:37:45
Man U have turned down a 4m offer from spurs for Ben Foster, but spurs will make an improved offer of 5m on wednesday ! David James will be made an offer if the Foster deal falls through !! Also heard a little rumour that Chelsea have made it clear to Modric that they want him in the summer, spurs will not want to sell him but the lure of good cash and Joe Cole could tempt Redknapp, i do hope not ! much rather Modric stay !! And as for you deluded Liverpool fans, as ive said before, Gerrard is bigger than your club, he thinks he is Liverpool and you fans buy it ! Yes he dreamed of winning the league with Liverpool but knows now that's not a reality !FACT!
So expect him to leave after world cup in summer, and all that loyalty you have shown him will be flushed down the toilet !!And as for the plank who said Torres was a Liverpool supporter as a kid ! what a load of old Bs !! Its well known that he was an Athletico Madrid boy through & through. Gerrard is like the untouchable with your club! Shearer was untouchable at Newcastle and look where they are now, they are the same, look at the great job OUR BOY (spurs) Chris Houghton is doing for them but as soon as they go up and struglle in a few games then all the fans will get on his back and start singing and calling for Shearer again, you clubs never learn. YOU DESERVE ALL YOU GET !!!!!

18 Jan 2010 15:42:09
Gary 'I'm a fatty' Johnson, as he is affectionately known by City fans, was seen scouting two League 2 players recently.

They are Burton Albion's Richard Walker and Cheltenham Town's Justin Richards. He also has reported interest in non–league starlet and left–side wizard Chris Carruthers.

100% true. He sees these players as a good way of continuing the progress of the club.

AG.

18 Jan 2010 15:46:08
Gerrard isn't out injured he has an internal 2 game ban for being on the mouth to Pellegrino!

Also watch out for Ronaldinho turning up at Anfield, apparently the lure of pulling the liverpool midfield strings with fellow brazilian legend Lucas is just to appealing!!

Average Joey B – ComputaCenter Legend!!

TRANSFERS:
It is sure that Aguero is joining in the summer.Other targets are Marek Hamsik or Yoann Gourcuff for midfield, Simon Kjaer or Uros Cosic of CSKA are the defenders. There will a lot youngsters comin in. some of them are as I said Cosic, Nicolas Lodiero Ever Banega, Luc Castaignos, Sergio Canales, Gerrard Deulofeu(most promising youngster playing football on earth right now–his role model is Stevie G, from Barca)

Regarding the Liverpool vs Reading match last Wednesday, the REAL reason why Steven Gerrard never came back out for the second–half is because Stevie had a massive bust–up with Scotty Walsh in the dressing–room at half–time – NOT Pellegrino or Benitez as many are suggesting. The injury reason is a smokescreen.

Things happening inside the club are leaked all the time and this DEFINETLY HAPPENED. Whether Reds supporters want to take this on board or not is up to them but I am certain that this version of events will break over the next few days!

Word coming out of the Echo office in town today is that Gerrard has handed in a transfer request. Don't be surprised if this turns out to be true but this is still unconfirmed at the moment.

Heart Of Midlothian Football Club

I have been told by a former Hearts player that now works with Sky TV that Hearts have a offered a contract to former Rangers Fc midfielder Bob Malcolm. Malcolm has just been released by Brisbane Roar. However my source who played with Malcolm and is still good friends with him says Malcolm is "very likely" to sign the deal. According to him Malcolm wants to move back to The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and is impressed with "the traditions of Hearts and everything they offer and stand for".

Further to Liverpool's protracted interest in Kenwyne Jones, it appears that any deal for the striker would have to be a permanent transfer, and with Sunderland looking for a fee in the region of £10 million this appears to me a rather unlikely proposition.

Whilst Liverpool are still engaged in dialogue with Thorsten Weck (Milan Jovanovic's agent – as I stated last week), I understand that Liverpool will redouble their efforts to bring RVN to Anfield.

However, with money tight at Anfield during the current striker crisis, two surprise names have emerged as potential candidates for the vacant back up striker berth at the club, should Liverpool's attempts to bring in primary targets fail. The two unlikely lads, Benjani (Man City) and Benni McCarthy (Blackburn).

Gerrard falling out at half time in the reading game is bang on , this is the second time he has kicked off & i have been told he has put a transfer request in by one of the academy lads, he is totally fed up with Rafa, lee, pellegrino and there negative tactics , he has been suspended for 2 weeks , if he was injured it takes longer than that to cure a hamstring strain & he would'nt have been at the stoke game, come back paco all is forgiven.

Nottingham forest are hoping to sign Shane Long from reading for a fee of 1.5m. Despite scoring the winner at Anfield, Long is out of favour at Reading and is thought to have had a bust up with Brian Mcdermott over the lack of match time he had at The City Ground. Billy Davies has been a long time admirer of Long and he hopes to have him in his team before the reds face QPR next tuesday.

Forest also hope to secure victor moses(3.5m) miles addison(700k) and charlie adam (1.2m), but bad news for forest as it looks like Earnshaw and Blackstock could leave the City Ground for Newcastle and Burnley respectively

To the person who said
"Also I'm fed up reading about delusional Celtic fans believing they are an actual force to be reckoned with. Why on earth with Robbie Keane or Bellamy join you! Bellamy is a key part of Man City and if he'd leave he'd join a decent prem side, like Stoke or Fulham. In fact QPR would have more chance. Also, Robbie Keane isn't a Celtic fan just because he played there. Sure their his favourite Scottish side and will keep tabs on them, put would never rejoin them. If he was to leave Spurs odds–on he'd join Wolves as they are who he supports. If not then probably Villa or someone like that. Stop living in dreamland, you have a pathetic manager andare losing the league to a side who are as much in debt as Man Utd."

Firstly Robbie Keane never played for Celtic, he is a Celtic fan that is the team he supports and Liverpool are his english team, he only started his career at Wolves because he didn't feel he could get a game at Liverpool as easy. He WILL join Celtic at one time in his career.

Anyway news is that Bojan Krkic has begged to be loaned out to Celtic due to minimum playing time he has recieved this season and willingness to team up with his best footballing friend Crosas. Senderos to be in within the days. Also expect Utaka to join. What a waste signing Livingstone rejects, Senderos a half decent player at best and Utaka the worst striker i have witnessed. We will miss the big man at the back and Wigan got themselves a bargain. Also expect Skippy, Artur, Brooney and Aiden to be off in summer and we be left with donkeys like Sameras and Fortune with Nade a possible signing along with Kyle and Gomis.

All these liverpool fans need to get a reality check. ASAP! So what if Torres' boyhood team was liverpool? Hundreds of players around the world have at some point played for their childhood team, then left for greener pastures.
Torres has no doubt enjoyed his time at Anfield and realised his dream, but to say he is 'living the dream and will never leave' is ridiculous! What dream? Alternating between losing and drawing every week, out of every cup, out of the champs league, way off breaking the top 4 and earning a champs league qualification, an under pressure manager, players and staff scrapping in the locker rooms, unable to afford any good player who can change fortunes and playing alongside some damn average players? Thats no dream, that my friends is a player's personal nightmare.
This summer, Torres will leave. Mark my words. I'll give you scousers one thing – it will not be to a prem team, he has too much loyalty for that. It will be Barcelona's marquee signing, £80million plus Bojan Krkic on loan with the option to buy. City will be pestering you too, so don't be surprised if you get Xavi or someone thrown in with the package.
That is all. Liverpool to finish 6th this season, and rebuild in the summerslightly! Torres will be forced, for his career's sake, to abandon an unambitious team who are content to celebrate small victories over real glory every season – "no league for the 15th year running? 4th again in the table? (at best) no new trophies? Nevermind, at least we beat United!" Pathetic!

Celtic Rumours

Could everyone cut out the Robbie Keane, Craig Bellamy rumours....this is never going to happen with the amount these guys get paid at there respected clubs. Celtic will be looking to loan deals, pre contract agreements (within there wage struture of max £30k/week to a player)

The only concrete offer just now is Sendaros from Arsenal on loan till end of season. Even if he does have a good loan spell he will be of to another club next year for wages Celtic can't compete with.

At the end of the day money talks.

18 Jan 2010 14:03:25
Right delusional fans let me set something straight. Gerrard AND Torres are not leaving anywhere. Gerrard's problem is with Pellegrino not Rafa. Torres is delighted at the club, just not with its performance this season and also, Gerrard won't leave Liverpool until we win the prem, and after it wouldn't want to leave at all. Torres is a boyhood Liverpool fan so why would he leave his boyhood club. He's living the dream and after his op should be fully fit a lot longer. The 3 major players leaving will be in the summer where Skrtel will leave with Kjaer replacing him, Benayoun because he could be involved in a swap deal with Aguero, if not then around £12m will let him leave. Finally Kuyt will depart for Man City in the summer for £10m.

Also I'm fed up reading about delusional Celtic fans believing they are an actual force to be reckoned with. Looks like the idiots down the road are trying to hijack Nardiello from us.

My sister works at Gigg Lane and said that a deal was nearly done but Rochdale have stepped in and offered £100,000 and the board don't want to up their offer.

Its obvious that Blackpool don't want him and he enjoyed his time here, so lets hope he comes back and doesn't go to the Roaches

Coventry City News.

Chris Coleman has realised that he still short of quality and numbers within the Sky Blues squad, so will make a large amount of changes in the summer.

He is happy with the 1st choice goalkeeper Kieren Westwood, providing he stays, but realises he needs a backup. He will look for sign either Alex Smithies (Huddersfield), Kasper Schmeichel (Notts County), Joe Murphy (Scunthorpe) or Fraser Forster (Newcastle). If Westwood was to go, it will be for approx 3.5m–4m. Dimi Konstantopoulos will leave when his contract expires and Danny Ireland will be kept as 3rd Choice.

In defence, James McPake and Richard Wood will be the first choice central defensive partnership, backed up by Leon Barnett, who will be signed permanently from West Brom, Ben Turner and Jermaine Grandison.
Martin Cranie will occupy the right–back position ahead of youngster Jordon Clarke.
A new left back will be brought in to challenge Chris Hussey for the starting berth – this will be one of Richie De Laet (Man Utd, loan), Kelly Youga (Charlton), George Friend (Wolves) or Lee Hills (Palace).
Stephen Wright and Marcus Hall will leave as their contracts are up, as will Elliott Ward, if he is not sold in this current transfer window.

In midfield, Coleman is happy with his central midfield options, having Aron Gunnarsson, Sammy Clingan, Gary Deegan and Isaac Osbourne available to pick from.
A wide midfielder is high on his wish list, as he only has David Bell, Michael McIndoe and Carl Baker to choose from. James Henry (Reading) and Will Buckley (Rochdale) have been targeted.
Michael Doyle will join Leeds on a free transfer as his contract is up.

Up front is in need of strengthening. Leon Best will leave during this transfer window, moving to either West Brom, Middlesbrough or Burnley for 1.5m. Being short as it is, Coleman knows he needs to bring in a couple of strikers as he will be left with just Freddy Eastwood and Clinton Morrison (who will be offered a new 1 year deal, with the option of a 2nd). A target man is needed to play alongside Eastwood, this will be either Tamas Priskin (Ipswich) or Danny Graham (Watford).
Finally, a pacey striker will then be signed, this will be one of Chris Martin (Norwich), Jordan Rhodes (Hudersfield), Lee Barnard (Southend), Simeon Jackson (Gillingham) or Gary Hooper (Scunthorpe).

PUSB!!

Liverpool News – Stevie G DID have a fall out with Pellegrino (something about Ngog) and Rafa was forced to drop him at half time (Rafa had to show support for his staff). That is why Gerrard sat in the stands and not on the bench. Also, Torres did not have surgery on his knee because of an injury picked up at Reading. He has had a hernia op by a specialist in Valencia. Rafa had promised Torres way back in October that he could have an operation but only in January. Gerrard WILL leave in the summer IF Rafa is not replaced.

Portsmouth FC News

Just spoken to a friend who works for a company that sponsors the club, and David James called in.

When asked about what was happening, DJ told him 'it's a total shambles, the players have been told they might not be paid for the next two months at least.'

He is due at Spurs this afternoon for talks with Harry Redknapp and will undergo a medical tomorrow or Wednesday.

I can also tell you DJ and the other players are totally heartbroken at what is going on at the club.

Sunderland, Everton, Spurs, Fulham and Everton are the teams expected to pounce for Pompey's best players, with several Championship clubs also interested in Richard Hughes, Tommy Smith and Mike Williamson. Pompey will have to rely on a thread–bare squad and will have to recall Luke Wilkinson and Paris Cowan–Hall if necessary.

One other bit of news – Rangers want David Nugent.

RANGERS NEWS

There is NO buy out happening, lets be honest if there was, it would have happend by now, as the clubs has been on the market for 3.5 years. Expect to see Murray come back into the club in the summer once he has sorted out his other companies especialy his main asset Murray International Metals which slowly going down the tubes.

The only person who is bonkers enough to want Rangers is Mr King, but due to the South African goverment freezing his assests he is unable to release any funds to purchase the club. If King does want the club he will have to fight the SA goverment sooner rather than later or pay the £100m they want from him.

Also to purchase the club a potential buyer will need at least £80M as the bank wants their monies/over draft paid and Murray wants his £50M that he invested several years ago to reduce the debit from £80m to £30M. So for King to buy the club within the transfer window is going to cost him in the region of £150–200M – (you could get Liverpool and Pompy for that)

On to transfers aint going to happen. Boyd, Novo and Clubfoot will sign new deals as will Wilson and Feck. Outs are likley to be Mendez although its looking slim now and possibly Da Marcus Beasley. Other wise the club will remain the same.

The Summer of 2010 is when changes will happen at Ibrox

Now firstly im not going to come on here and claim to have a source of inside information but these are the romours i have personally heard from inside West bromwhich albion fc. Crystal palace striker Victor moses is now off the radar as money has already been bid for the player from Nottingham forest there is also minor intrest from Manchester city. Giles Barnes is in hes second week of training with the club now and is 90% certain to sign it is believed Di Matteo wants to maintain a keen eye on the player to keep a check on the players fitness. The club denied any intrest in sunderland CB Nyron nosworthy last week although this is not the case the club are keen on the player although the intrest has slightly muted since the Signing of Gabriel Tamas
Thank you. Nicholas Kelleher

Rafa off to Real by the end of Jan, apparently they want shut of Pellegrini. Hiddink to take over on an interim basis, similar to that which saw him steady the Chelsea ship last season. Once the new investment is secured or a takeover completed, expect the arrival of a "Special One" for the start of next season!!!

18 Jan 2010 12:50:00
Unfortunately and it really pains me to report this there was a bust up at half time during Reading's game. An argument started about why Torres was taken off – apparently Torres felt he was ok to continue (Rafa proved right in taking him off given the scan results etc). Any way, Gerrard was the one voicing this not Torres, who remains publicly loyal to Rafa. Pellegrino basically made it clear to Gerrard that Rafa was the manager so just go out and play. Gerrard took it upon himself to tell Pelligrino he was a shte player and even worse coach. Other players were involved but none were aggressive. Gerrard and Pelligrino came to blows. Gerrard has been suspended without pay until further notice. He was told to be at the Stoke game to stop rumours ciculating. Note how neither Torres nor Benayoun were present.

Anyway, hate all this but bottom line is Gerrard will be going in the summer and NOT to Real Madrid...they want Rafa and given what's happened Rafa will not want Gerrard. Inter and Man City look favourites but don't rule out another bid by Chelsea.

Torres is staying. He loves the club.

Gerrard – fair enough great player for the Reds but he is so full of himself and thinks he is Liverpool...he needs to go for the good of the club.

Sorry all Reds fans, i know exactly how you feel. Gutted.

United are indeed being bought!!!! Fergie has agreed to make 2010/11 his final season – the new owners want him to be in charge when they arrive on the scene, they are a Qatari consortium of four members. They will pay the Glazers off, and a £2billion buyout (roughly) is on the cards.
Now, Fergie has been told he will have funds available for anyone he wants, but not to go crazy. He doesn't mind as he knows a new manager has been earmarked to take over the reigns in the summer of 2011; this man is Jose Mourinho, and agreements have been made that he must have money available when he arrives. So, no ins or outs this January; BUT, be patient United fans, as from March onwards, the rumours will start flying on the new signings…..which at this preliminary stage, look likely to be:
SUMMER 2010
GK – OUT – Van der Sar (retired, possibly sticking around as a coach); Foster (£5 million, Tottenham).
IN – Manuel Neuer (Schalke O4, £10million) – Fergie is a big fan; Neuer will be number 1, with Kuszczak number 2. Ben Amos will be brought through as the third choice.

DEF – OUT – Rafael and Fabio da Silva will both be loaned out for 6months to gain experience. Vidic (£23million + Ezequiel Garay on loan, 6months) – Fergie realises Nemanja is unhappy and will cash in. Garay can cover LB or CB. Neville will retire, and Brown & O'Shea will likely be sold by Mourinho when he comes in, but will stay for 2010/11. Ferdinand will have a make or break season to prove fitness.
IN – RB – Maicon (£16million, Inter Milan) – an agreement has been reached, Mourinho wants to continue working with Maicon, so will sell him to United and link up with him the following summer. CB – Bruno Alves (£20million, FC Porto) – again, Mourinho will have a say in this, as he wants to work with Alves when he takes over. Fergie is a big admirer, so both are happy. First–choice back 4 will be Maicon, Bruno Alves, Ferdinand/Evans, Evra.

MID –OUTS – Scholes (retired) and Hargreaves (retired); Gibson (loaned out for 6–12months to a Prem team); Nani (player–plus–cash exchange); Tosic (£5million, Bundesliga club). Anderson will be kept for one reason – Mourinho is a huge admirer and feels he will get the best out of the boy when he takes over. Carrick and Park both face the chop once the new boss comes in.
INS – Milos Krasic (£17million, CSKA Moscow) – the Serbian winger tore us to shreds in the champs league, and has spoken of his desire to join either us or the Gunners. Fergie will alternate between Krasic and Valencia on the right.
– Angel di Maria (£20million + Nani) – di Maria and Obertan will vie for the left wing spot.
– Steven Defour (£14million, Standard Liege – possibly adding de Laet or Tosic) – Fergie sees the Belgian as a man who could replace Scholes.
– Stephen Ireland (£8million, MCFC) – shock, but Mancini does not feel Ireland is a first–choice MF and Fergie is a fan. To be rotated with Fletcher, Anderson and Carrick.

FOR – OUTS – Owen (released, probably rejoin Liverpool on a seasonlong contract); Berbatov (£15million, Valencia) – Fergie will cut his losses on Dimitar.
INS – just the one, Karim Benzema (£24million, Real Madrid) – Real will give us first chance to bid for a striker who hasn't fitted in as expected. Diouf and Macheda as backup strikers. So, first choice 11 2010/2011 = Neuer; Maicon, Alves, Ferdinand, Evra; Valencia, Defour, Fletcher, di Maria; Rooney, Benzema.

Red Sky at Night, Fergie's delight!!!

Get tired of all the people who keep making up swap deals involving loads of players. Swap deals rarely happen in football let alone 2/3 players plus cash for this or that player. Anyway Modric has been in talks with Man Utd, it MIGHT happen this january or in the summer, don't know for how much, but there have definately been meetings.
If Modric does'nt sign, maybe Man Utd will go for Diego Ribas of Juventus who Ferguson has also followed for a long time. A much needed playmaker to takeover from the almost irreplaceble Scholes.

Leeds United Summer Transfers:

Ins:
W.Hoolahan 1.5mil
D. Rose ( loan)

18 Jan 2010 10:24:13
Rafa is safe until the summer. The owners want another club to show interest in taking him so that they can part company by mutual consent, vastly reducing the cost to LFC. It is also seen as less disruptive to change manager after the season. Hiddink is indeed being approached as Rafa's replacement, he is planning to meet with the Russian Federation chiefs soon to discuss an exit from his contract. The LFC owners will only sanction loan deals in the current window (Maxi was free) allowing for extra transfer funding to the new manager in the summer window. Babel will now be sold but Rafa will not see any of the money as an illustration of the last point

18 Jan 2010 10:36:23
The Hoops' Board are in turmoil over the Tony Mowbray situation.
Since Owen Coyle made public (What we all knew) that he turned down the Celtic to stay at Burnley
and Mowbray was a poor third choice candidate;
We have a very unhappy manager who is taking flak from fans, players and press with little backing from the board with real cash in this 'window'.
In a nutshell:– We are looking at loan signings and small – fee deals in the next week or so, as
The board are not impressed with his spending to date and un–rest caused with the current squad.
Having paid West Brom £2m compensation, they do not want to pay Mowbray off and will wait for a resignation.
Any real transfer funds are thus being held back, probably at the cost of a trophy–less season. When the SPL is at it's poorest for years!!!
Therefore, the Celtic board again are the real culprits in this fiasco. Selling the fans down the river has had a severe adverse effect on next season's Season Book revenue.
Yet again we are masters of our own downfall.
Are any other 'Tic fans as sick as me?
Jinky Fan

Not so much a rumour as some deduction regarding Victor Moses.

First off there is no interest from foreign clubs. As with all these transfers of starlets (eg Gareth Bale) this is put about by the club/agent to get the papers interested.

Warnock confirmed yesterday that there are only two "concrete offers". Given the newsflow and bookies odds over the last two weeks these are most likely to be from Man City and Nottm Forest.

Man City do not have a track record of signing young talent (in fact they're much more likely to sell them). They have already stated that they would not play him anyway merely loan him back out, which probably means their intention is just to stop anyone else getting hold of him. As the interest from the top four clubs has not materialised they may no longer be so keen and with this in mind their bid is unlikely to be totally cash up front, which is what palace desperately need.

Judging from Billy Davies' interview the other day Forest's 3m bid is most likely to have been mainly to wind up Warnock after his comments about Forest earlier in the season. However, as the only fully cash bid on the table it is looking possible that they may actually land him by "accident".

Warnock is probably reluctant to sell to Forest as he regards them as a "rival", hence him suddenly inventing more interest. I think in this case Simon Jordan will get his way however.

Supporting this, Forest's odds on signing Moses shortening dramatically yesterday until they stopped taking bets. Normally the bookies only close the book when they're sure of the outcome.

Conclusion: Moses to Forest.

Before i start all these MCFC fans need to get their heads checked, you won't get torres an gerrard and iniesta an all the rest so give your heads a wobble.

anyway my cousin is friends with carra an says the reason gerrard was subbed against reading was because of a bust up with pellegrino not benitez, which resulted in a fight and that gerrard is not injured just on a suspension.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy is set to snub the EPL in favour of a move to Galatassaray. Amr Zaki has passed a medical at Hull City. Steven Gerrard will not join city he will leave for Real Madrid sooner rather thab later. Joe cole will not leave Chelsea according to Bruce Buck. Angel Di Maria has rejected a 38m euro transfer to Eastlands.

Tottenham are in pole position to sign Palermo''s Simon Kjaer. Arsene Wenger has said he cannot find a striker that is right for Arsenal just yet, but will continue searching.

I have on good authority a number of transfer rumours because i was speaking to my window cleaner who says his brothers cousins great grandfather was chatting to the the 2nd cousin of a premier league managers tree surgeon that Drogba, Fabregas, Torres and Ferdinand are all set to join either East Fife or Sligo Rovers with Lionel Messi and Ronaldo for 20 pence each!

i also have knowledge that someone will post a rumour on this site that was spoken from thier mouth and not thier rear exit!

come on get some proper rumours!

hleb is on loan from barcelona to stuttgart i believe so technically he is still a barca player

18 Jan 2010 03:01:59
Just heard that Torres, Gerrard and Benayoun all faked injury. They have all been suspended due to half time 6 man Royal Rumble with Rafa, Sammy Lee and Pellegrino. Gerrard looked to have won it for the players with a People's Elbow on Pellegrino, but Sammy landed a Five Star Frog Splash on Torres while Rafa Stone Cold Stunnered little Yossi. Gerrard said he wanted a rematch, but Rafa Pedigree'd him.

Kenwyne has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in the January transfer window, and is expected to sign a deal on loan, with a view to a permenant deal. The Trinidad International is expected on Merseyside for a medical on the 18th January 2009. direct from wikipedia looks like we will av a new striker for the game on wednesday

18 Jan 2010 03:45:06
Why would Sunderland loan Kenwyne Jones to Liverpool, they don't need to sell any players never mind loan one of their best player out. Clearly Liverpool fans are again showing why they are the laughing stock of English Football. (Did any of you actually watch Quinn on Sky?)

Other news

Sunderland are going to battle it out with Birmingham for Craig Gardner. Bruce sees Gardner as a utility player who can come in and play in many of Sunderland weakest Positions (RM RB) and act as cover for centre midfield. 5 million looks like the going rate.

Sunderland will tie up the loan signing of Jack Wilshere by the end of the window.

And finally Sunderland have agreed a deal for Victor Moses although there is still interest from other parties

BIRMINGHAM CITY RUMOURS

Im an up and coming youth player at blues and recently ive seen quite a few famous players around St Andrews. The first player I saw was Cesc Fabregas I know this seems farfetched but he wants to earn more money and Mcleish can give it to him. Also I have heard from some of the backroom staff that Steven Gerrard is interested in joining Blues. He says hes sick and tired of Liverpool and wants to play for a team with a rock solid defence to give him licsense to attack and he says Blues is that team.

ALISTAIR SPROSTON(NEXT GARY O'CONNOR)

18 Jan 2010 07:45:21
Yaya Toure, Bojan PLUS ten million for Berbaflop ? Are you out of your mind ? Toure is an excellent defensive midfielder and Bojan is one of the most talented young players in Europe. Arsenal will look to sign Eden Hazard in the summer with the possibility of Sakho adding to our defensive line up. Other possibilities will include Agbonlahor and Micah Richards to boost the number of English born players.

Absolutely no truth in the Kenwyne Jones loan deal to Liverpool. How do i know this? Because i'm his cousin and i spoke to him about it. He's happy at Sunderland and is not interested in moving to Liverpool!! All an very clumsy rumour unfortunately. He's NOT at the Radison or anywhere elese near Liverpool....he's probably still tucked up in bed at home....so get your facts right!!

18 Jan 2010 08:57:57
To the idiot who wrote ' Murray still holding out for 50 million' please try and work it out for yourself... One of murray companies ie rangers was 75 million in debt.... Right... So far? He took 50 million from one of his companies and paid off HIS debt....he has no entitlement to 50 million so please stop talking rubbish.

Rangers to get bought over soon

No new players till the summer tho

Ps Rangers for the treble !

Facts LFC: Kenwyne jones loan deal will be done and dusted by the end of the week 22/01/10 if not before.Birmingham improve Ryan Babel offer by £1m plus depending on goals and appearances this could well change i hear though, that the man himself may want to go abroad possibly Turkey!!!!(Galatasaray) involving a swap deal plus £3m, as for Stevie G and El Nino they are going nowhere so what if Nando has said we need to buy, after all he aint wrong, watch out in the summer we may have a certain Joe Cole in, announcement to be made in march regarding investment and Mr Benitez on the bus back to spain very soon.

TO THE PERSON WHO WRITE THIS:
'No 1 – Why would nando or stevie want to go to a club who have yet to break into the top four and have zilch experience of challenging for a championship. They would not go anywhere near Manchester anyway.

No 2 – Liverpool are a good club because they have won 18 top flight titles, and 5 european cups etc. etc. and are the most succesful club in English football. (Something Man City will never hail in comparison to)

No 3 – How is the club goin down the shitter after one season? Sure the finances are low and we are having a wank season, but we are still aiming for a top four spot and in the Europa League. An investment is on the cards, and there will obviously be some billionaire out there willing to invest, after all we are Liverpool FC, one of the biggest football clubs in the world, even if this season is a disaster.

No 4 – I would love to see where Citehhhhh would be without your arabian friends at the helm, seein Darius Vassell bangin in the goals, or Michael Ball sprinting down the wing HAHAH.
LFC have always been a top, top club and always will be, face facts City will always be living in the shadow of United.

No 5 – Your a tit! and you are delusional if you think players like Iniesta would swap a Barca team, who at the moment are the best club in the world, winning titles with relative ease and have players such as Messi, Ibra and Xavi, for a team who have won nothin' since fuck knows, are yet to be serious title contenders, and cannot guarantee champs league football.

Laters.'
well said! Apparently, there are going to be 'crisis talks' between Rafa. Sammy Lee, Purslow and a few of the 'senior' members of the team. Also, while they are not all busy arguing, they are also making time to try and sign David Bentley or Joe Coe or Arda Turan for their left spot.

18 Jan 2010 00:13:08
100% true–––Kenwyne Jones has checked into the Radisson SAS hotel in Liverpool. I work at the hotel and talked to Mr Jones tonight. He said he is having a medical at Liverpools John Moores University medical centre tomorrow and will sign on an initial five month loan deal. There have been many rumours doing the rounds in the city that Rafa Benitez will be sacked on Monday(tomorrow) but my understanding is that this WILL NOT happen.

18 Jan 2010 00:19:13
Glasgow Celtic set to sign Roberto Soldado forom Getaf C.F for £3.5 million, Teko Modise from Orlando Pirates for £3 million.

Falkirk should tie up the signing of Darryl Duffy on loan before the visit of Dundee Utd, this comes from the same source who told me about Healy at the end of December. Source also says talks are on going to bring in a Welsh midfielder although he can't name him (possibly Mumford of Llanelli?)

1 striker to sign for arsenal before the end of the january window. no idea who. lots of rumours but the majority of them have been ruled out by wenger due to too high a price tag. i would personally love to see edin dzeko or gonzalo higuain but this is highly unlikely, more likely to see a relatively unknown player, someone like lacina traore. in the summer expect to possibly see mamadou sakho and 1 other defender plus milos krasic of cska. possibly chamakh on a pre–contract depending on who comes in in january although rumour has it that bordeaux are unhappy with arsenal and would prefer to sell to somewhere else. finally, expect a goalkeeper to replace almunia who is not up to standard.

" RANGERS NEWS " This talk about a 18m takeover by a consortium led by tom king is absolute LIES.. the south african revenue service[sars] have frozen all kings assets and bank accounts hes also had his passport seized, if there was any money moved through other accounts or people they are to be investigated by the serious fraud squad. He owes roughly 200m from 1990 and faces 332 seperate charges on money laundering , etc!. And the rumours of 2 canadians taking over was a story made up by celtic fans which has growed arms and legs over the past week, murray is still waiting for his 50m as well as the club being in 31m debt, there will be no players in at ibrox possible outs...boyd 500k , mendes 1m. This will be used by lloyds there is a budget for wages martin bain wasnt given permission to offer boyd 18k! And donald muir has put him in his place the bank will call the shots no serious offers on the table for the club, and that's been the situation for 4 years. journo, london,

Hey guys, not put a post on here for a while now..

Also, Forest have accepted a bid from Bolton for Cohen and 3 Premiership teams have made good offers for Lee Camp, and if they can find a suitable replacement, they will reluctantly accept

17 Jan 2010 23:06:11
In reply to the question about the rangers takeover , you have it near spot on with the names as far as i have been told, they are just waiting now for the meeting on Tuesday to seal the deal, I was also told this evening that another group of investors have been in touch but Lloyds are happy with the deal on the table, also a new sponsor is waiting to invest as soon as the old one expires, They also sponsor a racing driver, and have a large bank in Glasgow...how does that song go again..oh yes..LETS ALL LAUGH AT CELTIC..HA HA HA...BlueBellsAreBlue

Man City have offered to pay Liverpools debt off in return for Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard and Yossi Benayoun, this won't happen till the summer. The offer is being considered by Hicks and Gillet over rafa's head. Which has angered Rafa Benitez and effectivly ended there "so called" proffesional relationship. He was told he would have full control of transfers and was told he wouldn't have to sell his top stars. Again H&G have gone back on their word. Rafa knows his time is up and is waiting for a compensation package to be offered (it will be considerably less than the £20 million reported because of clauses put in his contract which reduce the amount due to failure to meet targets.) he is most likely to end up at Real Madrid in the summer. (Not Juventus as been reported in the press, he doesn't think his young family will settle well in Italy.)

Transfer targets are currently unknown until a new manager is appointed. (If i was a betting man i'd put a fair amount on Gus Hiddink.) If Liverpool accept Man Citys offer, then the new manager will have £80 million pounds (plus money generated from sales) to turn Liverpool back into title contenders.

Regards C.P
