Ipswich to make a shock 3m for Gary hooper in the summer(7)(32)Maybe need to offer at least doubleIt'll be a shock to hooper as well lol {Ed025's Note - april fool..Yeh as if we have that sort of money and why would he come here?So he was to option to play against Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Manchester City, United, Bayern Munich but he goes to Ipswich to play against MillwallI'm a town fan and this rumour is pure rubbish he had a chance to sign him a couple of seasons ago and didnt pursue it.

alladyce doing a wonderful
job at west ham just needs a
lot more money for new
signings(15)(17)Already spent well beyond their means, if they don't go up they are in trouble.Personally I think he has done a crap job with West ham, bought many ex premier league pretty average players paying way too much on wages for championship football, some who will have little sell on value.
With the squad at his disposal they should be walking the division, instead they are playing a pretty typical brand of tough football that Sam Alladyce likes to play and they have hardly set the league alight this year. Looks more and more like the playoffs this season, and I suspect Birmingham and Blackpool will be difficult to beat in playoffs. So they may be in championship for a second year, if they are then Sam may be looking for a new job, because Gold and Sullivan expect instant promotion with the money they have spent under Sam.

In my opinion we should sell of Samaras as soon as posible or if we cant just give him the boot he is ste and is just a waste of space(6)(25)

Charlton to sign Ched Evans for 2 million(6)(27)

Even though Evans is good we've got BWP so no thanks.Shef united paid 3m for him so y would they sell to us for 2m coming from a cafc fanDream onYou dont have 2 millionWhy would anyone pay £2m for Evans when he's out of contract this summer. If Utd go up it's highly likely Evans will stay.Ched Evans was crap for 2 seasons scoring 4 goals and then 9 last season in championship, but suddenly because he is having a good season in Div 1 he is worth the £3M Sheffield Utd paid for him, I think not.
Sheffield payed over the odds for him and I doubt one season will persuade any club to pay close to the £3M for his services, especially because he will be out of contract July 1st 2012.I remember my team Ipswich pulling out of a £1m deal at start of season based on his court case so why has his price suddenly rocketed?

31 Mar 2012 17:54:41
Norwich will sign Middlesbrough Defender and England U21 International Joe Bennett in the summer window(21)(7)Is that the player who agreed to join sunderlandWhere have you seen a rumour about him agreeing to join Sunderland, he signed a new 4-1/2 year contract in Jan 2011, so as an U21 International and just 22Yrs old he will not come cheap, suspect Middlesboro would want £2/3M + add ons if he is allowed to leave. Just the kind of Player Lambert would go for so rumour could have some meritRyan bennett is better and we already have 2 bennets!!Ryan Bennett is a CB while Joe Bennett is a LB, and Lambert will be looking for competition for Tierney to replace Drury who's contract will not be renewed in summer.

31 Mar 2012 17:06:54
Its the play offs again for huddersfield.league one again next season doh.rhodes and roberts will leave and we wont go up next season either......(17)(3)Rhodes to norwich...

I have heard worrying rumours that Southampton's Rickie Lambert is out for the rest of the season .(29)(14)

He has been passed fit to play today, so thats very unlikelyI know that no team is one man
but saints surely missed ricky today
the two up front were bad plus
a poor penalty shot by billy
sharp ricky would have buried
that and maybe a differentresultFunny how when you dont have Lambert everything falls apart. not a one man team my aNo he hasn'tYup played today and scored a hat-trick oh wait, no he didn'tIf Southampton didn't have Lambert they would be fighting for playoffs if they are lucky, unlike reading who have amazing squad depth and everyone is as important to the team as each other, got taught a lesson today as they couldn't play pass to Lambert and he will score...15 of Southampton's 23 wins this season have come without any goals from Lambert.

And the official club spokesman has said Lambert will be back in action for next Satirday's gameEasy now guys calm down, he'll be fine next week. Just strained a neck muscle piling food down it.Great news JUST HEARD HE WILL BE FAT THIS SATURDAY

swindon looking to bring in a new striker for next season, lots of talk about Jack Midson from AFC wimbledon(1)(13)

31 Mar 2012 03:54:20
Liverpool are planning for next season already and Kenny expects a few new recruits however after missing out on CL football it is highly unlikely they will be able to attract some of the top players such as Hazard,Javi Martinez and Higuain. Ryan Shawcross,David Hoilett,Jordan Rhodes,Alex Smithies,Seiydou Keita and Keisuke Honda are just some of the players being monitored. Kuyt,Maxi,Cole,Pacheco,Aurelio,Jones and Aquilani are all likely to leave the club this summer while Charlie Adam may also be sold should Keita join.(20)(20)I agree that liverpool need to get rid of the players who don,t stand a chance of playing for them and also get rid of the deadwood also when any player pulls on that red shirt they should have more pride and be privilaged to be playing for a great club otherwise then if they can,t sell them off as to the players mentioned as possible recruits for next season and if we can get them then go ahead and secure them before any1 else does but i,d still keep charlie adam but doni and jones should go along with the rest even though kuyt is still a good player and gives 100%pc every time he playsWhy would Keita come? They first "Dead Wood" name to get rid of should be DalglishWhen shola scores tomorrow Kenny will bid 35 millionNo, no, no, yes, no, no, yes, no , no
Good luck liverpool only some of these players where born after the 70's and 80'sLiverppol have spent a fortune on average players over recent years and are still 5 or 6 players off having a team capable fo being regulars in the champions league.Sorry but reina & gerrard are the only players in that LFC squad that are good enough to play champions league football.

Tranmere look to secure Jake Cassidy on season long loan after a good start to his current loan period(5)(6)

30 Mar 2012 22:44:06
There is interest in many of Celtic's players from better leagues than the SPL. Beram Kayal, Scott Brown, Victor Wanyama, Gary Hooper, Joe Ledley, Ki Sung Young, Adam Matthews, James Forrest, and Emilio Izaguirre are all interesting clubs.(23)(4)Doubt it, can't see any of them being good enough for League One.Haha good jokeLeague one thing was a good joke i mean. these players will be in premiership soon it seems, or staying with CelticYes I saw Matthews is being considered by Fulham, Redknapp said he admires Forrest and will watch his progress, Villa have an interest in Ki and are monitoring Wanyamas progress, Southampton Hooper, Everton Ledley, and Man Utd are still following Kayal and the return of Izaguirre from injuryShut up about league 1
Hooper could play in the premier league
Wanyama and Brown(I think is terrible) was wanted by my side Newcastle
Ledley was wanted by Stoke
Ki, Kayal was wanted by Aston Villa, Kayal, Matthews and Izaguirre by Man Utd
Forest Tottenham

I am a Rangers fan as well as Newcastle fan I think all of them are good and could play in the premier league apart from Brown. You are a proper English aeholeThese players play in the equivalent of a pub league. There's a reason why these players have been 'linked' to moves but haven't gone anywhere. Clubs have had a good look and decided there are better options who play for the Dog and Duck! SPL, what a pointless league.Wouldn't be surprised if good offers come in for them all. Heard that Samaras is wanted by west brom too. celtic are doing really well financially and so do not have to sell unless they get really good offersIve got a question for all you up your own arse english wks that keep saying our teams (celtic and rangers) are st and wouldn't get a sniff at the prem league, if we're that bad then why are all you teams brickin it to let us into your leagues? both celtic and rangers would walk league 1 2 and 3 finishing 1st and 2nd, the championship would prove a tougher task but we would still win promotion and once we're in "the best league in the world" we would certainly be giving newcastle a run for their money! And why do Celtic and Rangers want to join the English leagues? Oh yeah because the SPL is a joke! And we're certainly not bricking it, you're Scottish you fool stay in your own country. If you do come down though you wouldn't even get out of League One! Charlton, Sheff Utd & Wed and Huddersfield are all better than you! Stick to your exciting league which is now a one horse race every year.Giving a 'stay in your own country' comment is silly considering you're in a domestic league which has a Welsh team in the top tier of their league system. If Celtic and Rangers had the same financial backing as the average league 1 team, Celtic would be able to walk it with their current crop of players.Your not really a fan at all if you support Rangers and Newcastle are you?I support Barcelona, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, AC Milan and Celtic. This way I'm happy most weekends!

30 Mar 2012 14:08:33
St. Johnstone will be renamed Perth St. Johnstone on Monday, in a bid to attract more people in the town to watch them.

Many people do not know where the team plays, so the addition of Perth to the club's name will help.

They will be listen on the videprinters as St. Johnstone until the end of this season and will be shown under their new name next season.(5)(16)Dont talk utter pi perth aint that big a town that the locals dont know where they come from or where they playWow,i never knew that, St Johnstone are based in Australia.......really?

Mr.Roller CoasterMakes a change from them being called St.Johnstone Nil.

Why would you need to sign him again?

30 Mar 2012 11:37:47
Ajax Amsterdam fringe player Thulani Serero will move to Swansea at the end of the season. The Swans have been keeping tabs on him since 2011 but couldnt make a move because the Amsterdam club has first option on all Ajax Cape Town players(ajax amsterdams feeder club). He has nothad much game time in Holland and his footballing style fits perfectly with the Swansea style of play.(13)(3)

30 Mar 2012 10:39:28
paul cairney of partick thistle has signed a pre contract with hibs(1)(9)If he has he must be bloody bonkers

30 Mar 2012 10:34:37
Ipswich Town are set for 5 or 6 big signings this summer! Their main aim is to get a Gk, a right back, two centre backs a midfielder and a striker! Signings that could be made for a gk include; brad Guzan from Aston villa, Scott loach (Watford) or alex smithies (Huddersfield). The likely rightback will be Matt Lowton (Sheffield united) and two centre backs Harry maguire (Sheffield united) and Jason Pearce (Portsmouth). Paul Coutts (Preston) ched Evans (Sheffield united) and Jordan Rhodes (Huddersfield) are also likely to join.(5)(37)There is no chance of Rhodes joining the carrot crunchers.. hes premiership boundI believe by the term carrot crunchers you are reffering to our six fingered cousins in Norfolk. But agree we will not sign next to none of those players. Thanks agian Keane for knowing best that Rhodes was never going to be any good and selling him you sure proved us town fans wrong. The only ones i can see coming to Ipswich are Alex Smithies, and Matt Lowton, Jordon Rhodes loved his time at Ipswich who developed his skills and brought him on, but thanks to that tosser Keane he was sold for a mere £400'000Another dreamer..The blades are on there way back up, a much bigger club than ipswich, why would they sell 3 of there better young players!!.
Why do people write CRAP..dreamer Ipswich fans mate. From what I hear they are 66 million in debt so won't be doing too much splashing out. Unlike the yellow army who are quite minted at the moment with premiership status ha

In a bid to save face the Crawley board are about to sack Dteve Evans and his henchmen. They are aware for a while that the club image haas been tarnished. Also the FA will fine the club heavily and possible points deductions. As for Steve Evans they may view him as a person not fit to be a Manager, feel his past is about to catch up with him.
As usual it's the fans who suffer(23)(4)Whos Dteve Evans?Utter garbage. Steven Evans is why Crawley are where they are - he's the reason they are about to be promoted to L1. As for a points deduction, why? it all happened after the final whistle and was down to individual players. Get a life, Crawley are going up, live with it.Tehy wont go up and here could well be a points deduction and if i remember before mr moneybags became he new owner crawley we mid table. just saying. The pub team will be them tomorrow anyway
As for evens i wouldnt be suprised if the board see sence and get in a decent managerI hope the rumour is true as Steve Evans is a disgrace to football even Crawley fans now on their own forum have heard his total abuse of opposing players from the sidelines and Evans is a total disgrace to football.
I have been behind the dug out in one game where there full back was getting constantly beaten by a winger and Evans was shouting to his full back to break the other players legs.

Evans needs to be brought before the FA and sorted once and for all and harshly.

I do believe Evans will be sacked whatever at the end of the season and the FA can speak to any fan from 23 other clubs in L2 and they will all say the same as me about his antics on the touchline.Crawley are a very decent side and saw them at the Kassam stadium and by far the best team Ive seen in the league. But....Evans, nop, hated by most though that likely wont matter to him. But he will drag Crawley down if they are not careful and will spoil the good workCrawley is a club that are run awfully and thier fans just have o accept that they will go the same way as rusten did a few years ago. when the time is rignt and they have sold one or two more for alot of money they will take that then go there is already people saying that they are taking money out of the club.
Cant agree about them having the best squad that is swindon

29 Mar 2012 15:23:25
With Salomon Kalou's Chelsea contract set to expire in the sumner one of the many clubs reportedly intrested to snap up the Ivorian international are plucky Premier League side Norwich City with another season at the top almost assured they plan to bring big names to secure their place as solid Premier League team(7)(47)

29 Mar 2012 15:07:19
Jordan Rhodes WILL sign with Norwich City in the summer window as the club have offered Huddersfield Town a deal which they have accepted for the player(14)(55)Oh so norwich can afford 10 million plus add ons for rhodes. Take it from me 5 million that clubs think town would take is way off through mark.I'm not saying that he'll go to Norwich, although it's possible, but if you don't go up he certainly will, even if you do he might.Total fantasy.he will go to evertonActually it is more likely Norwich than Everton, Everton cannot afford high transfer fees, where as Norwich would have substantial funds to bring in players next season.
There is no way Rhodes will go for £10M+, for an unproven striker at the higher level £5M+ add ons would be the maximum they could get, and even then it represents risk whoever buys him.Liverpool set to bid 40m + add onsI have watched Rhodes for 3seasons now and he has improved year on year ,he will go all the way , but he needs to be in a team that plays football ,not a team that just launches the ball long . I hope wherever he goes he succeedsIf you think he would go to norwich rather than everton, you should stop smoking that stuff, clearly it has made you delutional. Thanks again Keane.
In all seriousness though can't see this happening everyone wants him or is this just wishful thinking from a town fan.Norwich have money to spend, Everton have no money as your chairmen constantly says, so if its down to who has the cash it will be Norwich, Lambert is ambitious and will go for bigger players next season , he is not interested in survival.
As for the comment about a team who just launches the ball long, if you are referring to Norwich you have clearly not been watching them, they vary their game based on who they are playing, 4,4 2. 3,5,2, 4,5,1 and also 4,4,2 with a diamond formation in midfield. They even switch in mid game if it is not working.
IF we can keep Lambert for the next 2/3 seasons Norwich will likely be challenging for Europa cup minimum. {Ed025's Note - get a grip mate, you are making norwich sound like a big club!...europa cup minimum??? you are, and will be for the forseeable future, a yo-yo club, who,s aim each season is to survive relegation!..sorry if the truth hurts, but thats just how it is..Rhodes defo joining Everton next yearTotally disagree with Ed025's Note, which is arrogant and patronizing in the extreme. Norwich is one of the best supported clubs in the country (no 12 at present in terms of average crowd) and virtually sell out their stadium every home game. They are geographically located in a huge rural area with no real competing clubs (the closest bigger city, Leicester, is almost 100 miles away). The population of Norfolk alone is over 850,000 people; add to that the borders of surrounding counties like Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, etc. and you are talking about a very sizeable demographic to draw from. I accept that they haven't got the historical pedigree of clubs like Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal, etc. but there is no reason why they should not in time become a fixture in the Premier. They are already a bigger club than half the teams currently in the division - FACT!

29 Mar 2012 14:39:20
Graham Westley will be sacked as Preston manager if they lose to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.(20)(8)Wondered how long this would take. No he wont.He should have packed his bags on Tuesday night, he is not the man for the job! PNE's managerial record is not good but a change is needed before next season; this guy will drag the club down. Can PNE afford to sack him? They're rumoured to not have much ££ left in the piggy bank.

Westley will stay.During Westleys reign at Deepdale the standard of football has been absolutle rubbish. He has lost the fans and the players once he loses Hemmings and Ridsdale (shortly) he'll be sacked. 2 wins in 14 is sack material at any club especially the way we are playing. We still have to play 4 of the top 6 before the seasons out. Relegation is a very real possibility. Im scared for us!Westley is the same breed as manager as simpson rubbish they should stick to managing litlle clubs who punch above there weight please billy davies come back

29 Mar 2012 14:20:02
who is going to be the next Bournemouth manager, anyone got an ideas? id like someone with experience, alan curbishley lee clark someone who has been there with a bit of knowledge

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Curbishley, no chance.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Curbs and Clark wont go to League one. Clarke would possibly return at a push to a League one side but if he did it'll be someone like a relagated Championship team.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Phil brown

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Curbishley wont drop to L1 you have to be dreaming and for a start would anyone want to work with Mitchell your dodgy chairman and a russian no ones knows anything about who is probably as dodgy as Mitchell the expert on liquidating his companies.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've heard that Sean O'Driscoll is favourite.....and is the bookies favourite

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Curbishly is becoming a George Graham....linked to every job but never taking one. Soon he'll be so out of touch that clubs won't bother asking.

-------------------------------------

I've heard a lot about Carl Fletcher joining Bournemouth at the end of the season. Would be great to have Lil Fletch back at the club(2)(7)Graham Westley will be a good choice for you!!!Mourinho was spotted on the prom and capello was seen in the local italian ice cream shop #justsayingBournemouth fans are really in cuckoo land you have no chance of Curbishley you are too small a club for him. He just turned down a premier league team so little old Bournemouth sorry more likely your old manager who is a good manager.

Your all obssesed with the fact you have this russian guy and you can get anyone in to your club but with all due respect you will never be a big club you have a samll fan base, small ground and poor attendances and a dodgy Chairman.

Hi Everyone.
It is now very clear that Arsenal are on the verge of sealing a deal for Lukas Podolsky. From a very reliable source it is understood that Arsenal were warn by colgne against announcing the deal for fear of Colgne fans revolt. it is however understood that Arsenal have agreed to delay the announcement until jst before the end of the season.
In other news Alex song is almost penning a new deal to make him one of the highly paid Arsenal pklayers. it is understood Wenger Instructed Ivans Gazzids to open negotiations with the cameroonean international who is also a target for Barcelona and Juventus. This will bring Hope to Emirate faithfuls jst a week after Van Persie was quoted saying That he "May not be going anyway"
Barcelona are also understood to be keeping tabs on Wilshere jst a few months after the English international declared that he will retire at arsenal.(11)(12)Just like rooney said "once a blue, always a blue"!Barca are also interested in Bedtinner!'Wilshere jst a few months after the English international declared that he will retire at arsenal.' famous last words

FA to set a new precedent by coming down exceptionally hard on the players involved in the Bradford / Crawley fracas. Very lengthy bans and substantial club fines will be announced. This could not have come at a worse time for either club, Bradford could end up slipping out of the league and Crawley's promotion hopes could be shattered. Certain members of the Crawley board are apparently livid with the Management team and the players. They fear their image is constantly taking a beating and despite several warnings that the gates need to rise the club makes no effort to win over 'casual' supporters. The lack of foot traffic has already led to the sale of key players this season.(10)(6)

29 Mar 2012 12:04:16
former gills player micky Adams who is a good friend of gills chairman paul scally will return to priestfield as manager in the summer(7)(4)

29 Mar 2012 11:18:39
Bristol city will consider enterring Administration if relegated, huge losses and wage bills miles to high have left Owner Steve Landsdowne considering his options and looks increasing likely to concentrate on Bristol RFC whom he took control off recently (he sees this as a quicker better option for big success)(15)(9)Sigh. This is paranoia taken from a very old thread on OTIB. Since then, Lansdowne Has publically committed himself to both BCFC, BRU and the new stadium.I also posted this 6 months ago, I have a family member who works in the office at Ashton gate and it is rife that BCFC will go into administration in the next 6 months,
