Hey its been a very interesting week at Newcastle, 7 days have passed since their dismal end to a 15 year premiership stay. The club have been relegated to the championship and have about 15 players on £50,00 per week. It is turmoil up there and with Mike Ahley announcing today his intent to sell the club, the future is clearly uncertain. It is of cource hard to predict what will happen over the summer at Newcastle as we don't even know who the owner will be let alone the manager. For the Sake of argument lets say Alan Shearer will be in charge, first of all he will have to loose the big money players.

Outs

Bassong
Enrique
Steven Taylor
Coloccini
Cacepa
Ryan Taylor
Beye
Gutierez
Duff
Smith
Gonzalez (Return from loan)
Owen
Martins
Viduka
Barton
Nolan

Then of cource they will have to find replacements, players who can get them promoted at the first attempt. This is presuming Alan Shearer is still in charge, of cource we have no idea who will sign for Newcastle but these are a list of players that Newcastle have reported to have shown interest in, and if it is not these players then you can expect them to be of a similar type.

Aswell as this Newcastle will have to give some of their academy/youth players a chance. Players such as tozer, Marwood, Donninguer, and Lua Lua will have to be given a chance.

INS

They will need a left back, they had shown an interest in Coventry's Daniel Fox in January so expect to see developments there. However with Coventry very reluctant to let Fox go Newcastle may have to look to Seydo Khali, i have seen reports on this website and from other Newcastle rumour pages suggesting Newcastle will sign the 27 year old defender.

At least one CB will be required and reports in the press have suggested Man City's Dunne. Personnaly i cannot see this one happening but it would be a cue for Necastle. More likely however are Burnleys Caldwell or former Celtic defender Balde.

At Rb presuming Dowie is still assistant then he will reccomend Coventry's Issac Osbourne whom he is a big admirer of. If not then we could possibly see a loan signing.

Newcastle according to the Daily Mail want to sign Rangers Rebel Ferguson in centre midfield. A leading Cm in the championship no doubt. However would he want to take such a step down? I would predict it is more likely to be Andrew Surman or Zheng Zhi from Charlton.

Following his release from Norwich Newcastle may look to Lee Croft on the Wing. However more probably it will be Hearts young winger Andy Driver who has caught the eye of many Chamionship and premiership clubs recently, most notably Everton. However the promise of guaranteed first team football may be a persuading factor. A likely prediction for the other wing would be Scott Sinclair who seems to be travelling to all the champoinship clubs nowardays.

Striking options is where Shearer or any next manager will have to get right. Getting a good striker who will score 20 goals per season is vital. Expect to see Necastle join the long list of teams interested in Leeds Jermaine Beckford. Readings Kevin Doyle has also reportedly catched the eye of Necastle so there could be a bid there. Also reports have suggested a possible move for Cameron jerome who will not be needed for Birmingham next season.

My team however is Coventry City. At last we are looking stable and secure, we have a good young manager with an intellegent chairman with money behind him. We are looking for succes but in the right way, spending sensible money on exciting young talent. These rumours of signings at the Ricoh will be more accurate than those of Necastle because the club is secure and targets have alreay been identified.

I thought it would be interesting now to compare Newcastle, a recently relegated club with huge financial difficulties, lots of players needing to be sold, an uncertain board room currently occupied by an idiot, and no real manager whereas Coventry, an average championship club, high ambitions, Fresh and intellegent Owners and a very good proffesional manager currently owning 4 or 5 very talanted valuble young players. Now Newcastle are expected to bounce straight back up and Coventry, well another average season is expected. Lets look at the two probable squads for next season.

Newcastle (Possible squad)

Owner: ?
Manager: ? (Lets say for now Shearer)

Gk: Haper, Krul
Lb Khali, Edgar
Cb Caldwell, Tozer
Cb Balde
Rb Osbourne (Unlikely), Loan signing
Lm Driver, sinclair
Cm Butt, Donninguer
Cm Zhi/surman, Marwood
Rm Guthrie, Lua Lua
St Carrol, Jerome
St ameobi, Doyle

Coventry City (Possible squad)

Owner: Ray Ranson/Sisu
Manager: Chris Coleman

Gk Westwood, Ireland
Lb Fox, Hall
Cb Ward, Turner
Cb Dann, Mcpake
Rb Eardley, Wright
Lm Mcsheffery, Mackenzie
Cm Hamman, Osbourne
Cm Gunnarson, Beauzelin
Rm Henderson – loan, Bell
St Beckford (Given us the benefit of doubt)
St Best, Eastwood, Morrison, Simpson

If you Compare those two squads who do you think has a better structure and team? Personally i think Coventry. Undoubtedly Newcastle will get a massive shock this season and will find out how hard this Champoinship league really is. I can honestly see them falling like Leeds.

villa to sign james morrison, from MIDDLESBROUGH? u heard that from a good source? did that source not point out that morrison is playing for wba?
somebody else saying viduka to stoke, for 4 MILLION? whyyy? hes out of contract!
and an evertonian, everton maybe a bigger club, but why do villa have to qualify for the uefa cup? 1) its now the Europa league, and 2) weve already qualified by finishing 6th :S

i think SAF will be compelled to sell ronaldo to real madrid this season . kaka will end up stayin in milan and ronaldo will be made first priority so tht real have somebody to match the likes of leo messi.united won't get lucky to sign ribery or kaka as potential replacement for ronaldo.in fact ribery will join ronaldo at madrid.
meanwhile SAF will look to rebuild and sign new faces .valencia will provide much needed width and doglas costa will add flair to the existing side. rafael van der vaart will be signed to fill the void for a creative midfielder .benzema will definitely be a major target this summer to replace tevez who i fancy to most certainly join liverpool.
Why are people going on about Martins joining United, he doesn't score enough. Also Tevez can score it's just that Berba is getting way much more time on the pitch. Villa/Benzema and possibly Valencia to join Utd. Ronaldo – who knows?? I hope he goes, he's not a team player anymore but he gets goals so. .
Liverpool going to buy Aguero?? Seriously, he loves Atletico and won't leave just yet. He may stay for one season unless they qualify for CL, then he will stay longer.
Chelsea will be quite busy this transfer preiod, but more youth players because they already have a very good squad. They may offload Drogba and buy anoher big name striker such as Ibrahimovic/Villa.
Arsenal won't do much, they may get one or two youngsters in, unless they sell Adebayor, then they will be very busy, new striker and perhaps new CB.
City will be extremely busy, but will go for possible targets, I don't think there will be another Kaka saga because Sparky has more sense than that.
Madrid will be extremely busy, you can guarantee there will be several big name players going to the Bernabau. Kaka I doubt, but is possible and Messi won't leave Barca.
Barca will buy a CB because that is their only weak point in the whole team, I don't think it will be Vidic though, he loves MU too much, I think it may be Mertesacker.
  Arsenal Rumours

Adebayor will leave for AC milan for 21million to provide funds to buy new players. Also a shock move will be Fabregas moving to Barcelona fo 40million. Wenger sees Denilson as his perfect replacement. AW will sign 2 centre backs the first will be sakho from PSG with gallas and 5million going the otherway. The second will be Bassong from Newcastle for 12million. AW also sees Song to be a center back but not yet.
A centre mid powerhouse is needed to add strength and power to the arsenal team, the possabilitys are:
Barry – 9million+ senderos
Matuidi– 7million
Cana– 6million
Also expect Clichy to leave to Real Madrid or somewhere for 8million with Gibbs replacing him.
Onouha from Man City is another possible buy for AW as back up for Sagna. Micah Richars will also be a possability but only if Toure leaves.
Ofcourse expect young guns to be loaned out but not Wilshere or Ramsey. Also expect youngstars to be brought as always.
The futures bright for arsenal
serious contenders for the title and the champions league nxt year.

Birmingham has taken their interest in Ross McCormack further by tabling a bid of £2million and Marcus Bent in exchange.

Dave Jones is a fan of Bent having tried to sign him last year, so a deal is thought likely.
Birmingham lining up a 7.5 million bid for ASTON VILLA trio Nigel Reo Coker, Nickey Shorey and Craig Gardner.
Expect Ancelloti to be the new Chelsea manager and zirkov a new signing and the other changes in the squad will take care the new manager! also i heard that barcelona will make a move for Cesc soon!!!
MASSIVE changes expected at Sheffield United next season. With the parachute payments running out. .

Blackwell was said to be extremely impressed with Craig Beattie whilst he was at United, he was a revelation and the blades are expected to blow their whole 4m transfer budget on Beattie.

Naughton, Kilgallon and Walker will not leave. Sun Jihai will leave for 3m, Hendrie for 2m and Sharp for 3m. This makes up for the loss of revenue and will fund the expected arrival of beattie.

All other transfers will be either freebies or loans. Norweigan striker Fug–Ing Ooseless will be signed on a free from valerenga, and the Swedish winger Lakof Payse should make the move to BL from helsingborg.

Also expect king kev to enquire about Kevin Kyle, Anthony Gardner and John Eustace. However these approaches are likely to be resisted by their respective clubs.

MASSIVE blade.

Strong word has it on the Kings Road today that Carlo Ancelotti has announced that he is staying on at Milan for another year. Roman is looking to turn to Roy Hodgson and arm him with a 80 million war chest for the start of next season. The betting on the next chelsea manager will reflect this in the morning so those of such a nature get on now.

Im new to this site, but its funny how everyone is predicting major clear outs/mass exoduses from Mnau and Arsenal. History tells us its never happened. Ronaldo will stay why go to a club that gets battered by lfc in europe.

the only 2 possibles are– Arsenal–Martins.
Man utd– De rossi
I am a burnley fan, as I was driving past turf moor this morning I spotted matt kilgallon standing outside the suite in one of the stands. I didn't stop to ask but I assume that he was there to discuss terms with burnley.
here are a few other rumours
jermaine beckford – leeds
rhys williams – boro
luis boa morte – west ham
Real Madrid have bid 22m +heinze
but rafa has told them to use there buy back clause and sign negredo and do the deal for 18m + Negredo +heinze.
He will replace Dossena.

liverpool will then sign owen as several liverpool players ( im gessing carra and gerrard) have urged rafa to sign him on a bossman.

no aguero
no lavezzi
no Tevez as rafa is not willing to meet the price.

Silva top target! but rafa won't go above 18m (like barry last year)

barry will be bought for 10m and the squad will be completer!

In an effort to get out of League 1 at the first attempt and gain relegation to League 2, the politbureau at Norwich City will do nothing in particular until the first week of August when bids will be made for players who are either dead, retired, or have expressed a preference to have their fingernails pulled out to joining the forlorn and soon to be feathered up Canaries.

Frantic weeks of phone calls will commence at that time in order to secure at least twenty six players on loan, this will include out of favour Melchester Rovers forward Mervyn Wallace and veteran schoolboy Billy Dane. Norwich will also sign reserve team players from Swansea City, Carlisle and Notts County, before not even letting them try the club shirt on, much less play a game.

As for outgoings, the club will honour the release clause in Sammy Clingans contract which is whoever the Canaries pay £1 Million to first–Clinghan is though to be the first player to have a clause which is activated when his own club pay the fee, rather than the buying club.

Bryan Gunn will boost morale by saying that he gets regular phone calls from "Fergie" but it will turn out that the Fergie in question is Rangers skipper Barry Ferguson who keeps dialling the wrong number.

Norwich City–coming to a non–league ground near you soon.
Im a sunderland fan and heard that Mancini could be manager within next 24 hours he will be given 60 mill to spend by Ellis Short.
Here are some possible targetS

Cordoba and Stankovic 14 mill.Mancini likd to work with them both.
Tuncay and Downing 12 mill. Both want to stay in north east.
Mcgeady 8 mill. Natural winger sunderland need.
Huddlestone and D Bent 15 mill.We need a strong center mid and a proven goalscorer.

Some of these Arsenal rumours are unbelieveable, expect AW to bring in a replacement for Toure or Gallas one of them should leave. Sakho looks like the no.1 to replace them. A new holding midfielder will be seen too, Y.Toure would be an excecllent buy to keep both brothers at the Emirates, expect Gallas to leave if this happens. Barry may come along if Wenger has the money, especialy if Liverpool delay to long. And if Ade leaves I wouldn't be suprised to see Huntelaar.

also, Jordan Cropley, Kurtis Byrne and Paul Hanlon to feature much more often next season.
Barnsley to sign Billy Sharp for either around £1.2 million or a loan deal with view to permanent!
Also Newcastle to sign Jermaine Beckford for £2 million and Brian Howard for £600,000!
Also Crystal Palace will sign Danny Webber on free transfer and may also attract Rob Kozluk from Barnsley, these will re–unite as they were all together at Sheff utd !
Lastly Bolton will bid for Darren Bent from tottenham but face stiff competition from Sunderland!
To the guy who said that Glen Johnson will go to United because they are the best team in the world. . .i think you lose the right to call Manu that after they were outplayed and outclassed by the true World no.1 Barca!

Now some Liverpool rumoumers i have

Davide Santon being tracked by the reds as they want Right back who is better going foward. Dossena could go to Inter as part of the deal
Stephane Sessegnon from PSG is being tracked although LFC face compitition from the Likes of Chelsea and Athletico
Babel is attracting intrest from a lot of clubs. Athletico,Sevillia,Valenca,Bayern and Fiotentina reportedly intrested
Brazilian youngster Zezinho was claimed to hav joined Liverpool earlier this week. this is not true however the deal is likely to be completed soon
According to Reports in Spain Rafa is ready to drop all intrest in David Silva and launch a full scale bid to Lure Juan Mata to Anfield instead as Scouts sent to watch Silva were impressed with the youngsters performances.
Wolfsberg and Schalke have both inquired about Vorinin
Riera is being tracked by Villareal and Aston Villa so he might be let go to give Rafa funds to buy a striker
Lastly i heard Liverpool had a eleventh hour bid for Deigo rejected before he signed for Juve

Other Prem Transfer news
Aguero rejected approaches from Chelsea and Real Madrid as hes is happy to stay at Athletico till Inter Milan or Liverpool come knocking.

I've heard big talk around Northampton Town that we are trying in vain to get Blackburn's GK Mark Bunn on loan next season. Hopefully he still has a place for Cobblers in that big heart of his and might ply his trade, atleast temporariy, again at Sixfields.

Dunn to leave, maybe to Cork City

Thomas Pouncey, pouncing on the latest transfer rumours.
'Blue Nut' im not quite sure if i follow your comments that state that liverpool cannot afford aguero, silva or johnson. Perhaps i can agree with you in regards to aguero but silva and johnson? Johnson is valued no higher than £12 million, even without the sale of current players liverpool could afford his transfer, remembering also that there is still an outstanding debt to be paid by pompy for the peter crouch deal. Expect to see johnson in the red of liverpool next year. Silva is an option but his transfer fee would require the sale of atleast one of the following; Reira, babel, dossena, degen. Charles Itandje is definitely out the door, much to LFC supporters delight, an absolute disgrace. Apart from these two major signings i cannot see much more activity coming from liverpool exept a few squad players and youngsters, quality not quantity is the way forward for liverpool in this transistional phase.

The rumours are not good, and I am appalled:
1. Firstly, Sheffield United fans. Your manager may not even be at the club next season, despite his obvious affinity with Bramall Lane. You know as well as I that QPR can pay twice what you pay him. How you think you will steal Dany N'Guessan out from under Leicester City's noses, who might I add also have a wealthy owner, and then, somehow, steal Joe Mattock for 500K from them too, is a clinical worry for your health lad. And this guy wasnt even the worst. Thank you for the guy who picked up on this rubbish:
IN:
Roger Johnson – 750k
Daniel Fox – 325k
Stephen Hunt – £1m
Jason Scotland – 650k
Steve Sidwell – £1.1m
Matt Derbyshire – 300k
Greg Halford – 400k
Simon Cox – 150k
Fabian Delph – £1.25m
I mean, I'm not very animated at the best of times, but this had me in hysterics. Every player on that list is worth well in excess of 1mil, for a start. Fox is sheer quality, and massively under–rated, and Hunt? Wasn't he the one who cracked Cech's skull? I know I'd pay up to 7mil for him, just for that! I'm disgusted; this guy clearly misread the scoreline of the Championship Play–Off Final! Honestly, get those Blades out of your backsides mate, and smell the coffee.
2. Next, Aston Villa. Where are all these big targets coming from? I always thought MON was Mr. Consistency. It would be very difficult for Villa to get James Morrison from Middlesbrough aswell, mainly because he plays for West Brom. Some likely targets? Some defenders probably, and a new keeper. Carson and Onyewu? Why not.
3. Now some accurate valuations. These arent necessarily going to be the transfer fees for the said players, but it might help some Sheffield United fans come to terms with the fact that they are not superior to everyone else and have to pay the same:
Fabian Delph first. This kid is a genius, but clearly few people who produce rumours on this site have seen him play. And clearly very few also don't reckon with the stubborness of Ken Bates. He is valued at 6MIL, not 4.5mil, or any of the other rubbish that idiots keep coming up with. His three remaining contract years mean an inflated price to buy out the contract years.
Sticking with Elland Road, the official value of Jermaine Beckford is 2mil, but a lower sale is perfectly plausible with his current situation. However, I doubt Bates will allow anything under 1.5.
Jordν Gomez is re–valued at around 5mil now by Espanyol, as they look to suck more money from whatever British side does sign him.
Simon Cox, well, Swindon want 2mil, and they have every right to in my opinion. They unlocked his talent, and made him into the player that he is. He is worth all that dough.
Rickie Lambert is slightly different; he has already admitted he wants to leave Bristol Rvrs. Thats a big kick in the balls, especially after he was named in Lge 1 Team of the Year, mysteriously ahead of Beckford, the highest scorer in the league :S. His value is around 1.5mil, for anyone interested.
Carlos Tevez now; the Kia Picanto has valued him at anything around 25mil.
Doncaster value Brian Stock at 1.2mil
Barnsley value Jemal Campbell–Ryce at 2mil
And finally, Emmanual Adebayor is valued around 15mil, which I think is good for his age. But who knows, Sheffield Utd might get him for a few hundred thousand ;)
Malcolm Shaffer
Elvis Hammond (Cheltenham) will complete a move to Mallorja in the next 10–14 days. Mallorca failed in a bid to sign Elvis from Leicester for £1m 2 years ago and after proving his fitness at Cheltenham after lengthy injury problems, expect him to complete a £200k + add ons move to Mallorca.
Also, Cheltenham are close to signing Leicester's Billy Kee on a free transfer on a 3 year deal aswell as making a move for Lee Cox who has recently been released by Leicester. Finally, Norwich are close to agreeing a deal to sign John Akinde from Bristol city.
Barnsley Manager Simon Davey is trying to sign one of three British strikers:
Richard Cresswell (Stoke)
Sam Vokes (Wolves){On Loan}
Billy Sharp (Sheff. Utd) {600k/compensation for Hume incident}

Davey also after other players. Should try sign:
Lewin Nyatange (Derby)
Jermain Beckford (Leeds)
David McGoldrick (Southampton)
