I'm friends with a leading journo on Tyneside and he's heard from sources in and around the club that the Magpies have placed the following players on their wanted list.

Paul Robinson and Michael Dawson (both come highly recommended by Chris Hughton)

Adam Johnson (Possible swap deal involving James Milner) – Steve Round has been talking up Johnson's ability and Southgate is a big fan of Milner.

Djibril Cisse – KK's prepared to cash in on Owen and let Viduka and possibly Smith move on. Cisse's back in form and fancies a move back to the Prem.

Gordon S will depart Celtic FC at the end of the season even if he wins the league. This comes from the same person that told me that Gordon was taking over from Martin O'Neil as if wife was not sick six months before it was made public so I have no reason not to beleive it

Owen to City and Robbie Keane to replace him with Zigic, Ashton and Martins as the alternative strike force all of which very inchangable.

"In a surprise coup, Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawell has lined up out of work former Chelsea and Porto Manager Jose Mourinho to replace him. Apparently the talks are in an advanced stage and Mourinho wants a real challenge. He feels he can transform Celtic like he did with Porto in 2003 and 2004. "

Keep taking the medicine – will get better soon. What a load of rubbish. Heard a rumour about Mowbray – that is it – and just a rumour.

It seems that DIC are just biding their time because they know that Hicks cannot come up with the cash to buy out Gillett in the next 60 days, when the deadline runs out. They are going to go on a major 'charm the fans' offensive by guaranteeing Rafas position. The budget will be more or less unlimited. Rafa will be going for the following players

Lahm

Rafinha

Michael Johnson

Aguero

Quaresma

Huntelaar

A goalie who I do not know yet

The following will be allowed to leave: Crouch Voronin Kewell Riise Itandje Finnan Pennant

  Man United Out:

Wes Brown to Newcastle

Louis Saha to Lyon

Man United In:

Berbatov from Tottenham

Mourinho to selik. like he said he is going to a big club. anyway now over to the bright side of Glasgow. The Bears will sign

Celtic Rumours – not quite from the horses mouth this news but it has come from a source very very close to WGS. The wee ginger one is totally gutted at the defeat to Aberdeen in the Scottish cup and the subsequent fans fury. He is determined to win the Scottish Premier League and prove he is a decent manager but he realises he has to change things immediately – Look for a starting 11 from now until end of season of (injuries/suspensions allowing) Boruc/Hinkel–Caldwell–McManus–Naylor/Nakamura–Brown–Robson–McGeady–JVoH–McDonald. Even the bench will have a sameness to it. M Brown/O'Dea/Hartley–Sno/Riordan–Samaras. Whatever the outcome this season Strachan will be gone by/at end of it and same source can reveal that Jose Mourhino has been sounded out by Peter Lawell about taking over. Jose is seriously considering the offer as he feels Celtic can rise to another level with the right players and the possibilty of a Porto scenario really appeal to him. There will be no transfer activity involving WGS and all rumours are only that.

A friend of mine over from Chile says Hearts have been linked with a move for Audax Italiano forward Fabian Orellana. He says he is a good forward who is very quick, quite skilfull and a natural finisher.

Tottenham will not be signing the following, whoever said deals for the following are 80–90 percent done, 100 percent complete etc. are far from the truth. Villa will not be joining Tottenham, he will go to a big team, not one looking to become one, Milan, Chelsea, Real will be bidding for him, possibly even Liverpool, so suddenly Tottenham is not such a appealing choice. Bentley will not be going Tottenham either, there is more chance of him going to Anfield and Pennant going the other way, Lennon is not interested in moving to Ewood Park. Arteta is not leaving either for Tottenham, Everton are looking to bulid on what they have, not sell there most influential player. Capel is in the same bracket as Villa, Tottenham maybe interested, but so are bigger teams like Man United, Arsenal, Real etc, so that will not be happening. Henry will not be joining Liverpool, due to his wage demands and his age, a more likely target is Pandev of Lazio. Jarque, Kameni, Barnes, Yeste, Senna, Kanoute and Crespo (not Hernan, the Seville defender) are realstic targets for Tottenham. Just because Tottenham have a world class manager, does not mean thay can suddenly attract world class players ahead of the real big boys.

Cheers, Rob.
