Ipswich have had a 300k bid rejected by Swindon for Paul caddis, still undecided if they will match swindons asking price.

Also another bid that has slipped in under the rader is McGlashen from Cheltenham, highly unlikely though as they do not want to entertain any bids for him

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't he a right back? We (Ipswich) have signed a young right back from Macclesfield in Elliott Hewitt and wouldn't be looking at getting another right back in. Plus I'm sure Swindon fans would be pretty annoyed reason this because I've hear them say many times that he is worth several million.
We are, however, in the market for a centre-back, a left winger and a big target man upfront. Unless he can fill any of those positions, then this isnt happening.

Could be a good move by Jewell,but I doubt Swindon will let him go.

We play better football than probably 20 of the teams in League 2, we have a young manager who will end up in the Championship most likely as well as having a number of players with easily enough potential to play in the Championship as well {Ed025's Note - i meant a well known one mate, owen believes he can still play at the top level..which i very much doubt....no disrespect to your club fella..

Portsmouth FC could sign Somali midfielder Abdul Said on a 3-month contract. Also, former MK Dons and Southend winger Jemal Johnson could be signed on a 2-month contract.

Speaking of MK Dons, manager Karl Robinson is reported to be lining up a double swoop from the SPL. Robinson is reportedly looking at a Centre-Beck, as well as a Left Winger, but no word on who either of these players could be.

Not signing anybody on a three month deal, just one month non contract or loan deal at present

Wes thomas is worth more then that to bournemouth, I know he has not been firing on all cylinders at present, but once he regains his confidence then hopefully the goals will go in. With tubbs and barnard competing for starting place in team he is still needed. Flecher is 40 yrs and can be used sparingly. When DeMouge, sherringham and McQuoid get back from injury then that is the time thomas might get released but not for £75,000

For that much na, double it atleast. I would personly like atleast 250k for him.

Bristol Rovers transfer plans thrown into turmoil after the further injury to 'Roly Poly Gary Kenneth'.... this time in last nights pre match warm up.

Rovers had been planning to fund the wages of Kieran Cadogan but will now have to bring in another defender , thought to be Cian Bolger .

Back stage there is a full investigation as to how the medical team at Rovers missed the fact that Kenneth is nearly 18 pounds over weight and is unlikely to be match fit until January.

It is the player's agent who is saying the deal is off and should NOT be relied upon. At least 3 journalists have said on twitter tonight that they think the deal is still alive.

Thios deal could still happen as we do buisness behind closed doors and billy sharp didnt look like happening yet he seemed to come from out of the blue

This show called the simpsons was on the brink of being cancelled and a producer came out and said it was going to be cancelled and a few days later they singed a contract for a few more seasons my point is my point is this is just a trick by his agent to get ramirez more money

It was actually a ploy to try to get bigger clubs to bid for him but no further offers that Bologna found acceptable came it seems.

Also, with Jarvis, over the last 3 seasons he has been amazing on the left with a fair number of assists, and yet still with a struggling team. Stewart Downing costed £20m. Darren Bent costed £24m. Agreed, don't know why we keep getting ourselves involved in such saga's. For a club that likes to do its business 'shrewdly' the buttner deal and now this have been a shambles. It's good to see us going for the right players and showing ambition but what's the point if we can't finalise the deal! NC & NA say we're not in the prem for a relegation battle but we're worrying thin at the back and seemingly nothing is getting done.

I actually think that Bologna's demands and GR agent are causing the problems in that deal. The player himself might have kept his mouth shut too until it was sealed but I don't really see what NC could have done.
In hindsight I think Buttner and his agent did us a bit. Created a hitch to bide time until a bigger club weighed in. Shane but you live and learn I guess!

The problem with the transfer is the schedule of the payments - Saints want to spread the payments over 4 years, Bologna want around 2/3 of the payment made immediately {Ed001's Note - I thought the FFP ruling forbids payments being made over 4 years? Transfers have to be paid off over a couple of years now don't they? Or I have I misread the rules? Yes but this CAFC side really is something special and many teams who get relegated can play off fluke results like the one you have mentioned. Of course its to early to say where we are going to finish I would settle for mid table but the early signs are we are going to be top half easily, still 44 games though so who knows?

No Charlton don't really need N'Guessan, but will probably take him as a squad player. Let's face it, he'll be 5th choice striker at best, it's just a bot of stength in depth at the right time, at the right price.

Jordan Ayew from Olympic Marsielle to Reading. According to the Times, the leaders have accepted an offer from Reading about 4 million for Jordan Ayew.

According to the Times, a meeting took place between OM sporting director Jose Anigo and Russian club owner Anton Zingarevich, who owns 51% of the club. Reading has big ambitions in this market transfers and recruiting Jordan Ayew, who wishes "to have play time" as he said during his first press conference in Marseille, this is a great deal they're doing there. Especially with the return to form of André-Pierre Gignac and Loic Remy's return from injury, he would not have had the playing time he wanted.

Only reports are from France so far....apart from a small piece in The Times. But it's seems very plausible to me. Good signing, fits in with the clubs 'ethos', but as with all signings/rumours I'm sure there's a lot of other deals that need to slot into place before this moves forward.....Kakuta to OM, Barton to OM.

I hope he doesn't shine/play in tonights Europa League game against Sheriff too, or they may change their mind.

It's a shame but I find this one hard to believe now. If everything but personal terms were already agreed I'm pretty sure neither club would have wanted him playing last night. And now that he's scored two goals I think the goalposts may have shifted slightly.

Middlesbrough are closing in on the signing of Ishmael Miller from Nottingham Forest.

Apparently Forest having given to go ahead for Ishmael Miller to leave and both Middlesbrough and Blackpool seem to be battling for the strikers signature.

Middlesbrough are also interested in signing Harry Kewell on a one year deal, but won't commit to it until MacDonald has either been sold or loaned out. Rumour has it that Brighton could be interested in taking MacDonald on a season long loan with Boro paying 50% of his wages.

The next week will be interesting!!

The John Bostock to Swindon deal is off. PDC has identified 4 players that he is interested in. Out of these 4 it is hoped they will sign two of them. Also, behind the scenes Paul Caddis is trying to get back into PDC's good books and is determined to convince PDC to give him another chance. It is the Caddis situation that will determine which 2 of the 4 players PDC is looking at will actually be signed, this was further complicated by the fact that one of the prefered targets was recalled to his sides first team at the weekend....this news makes it quite clear that this particular target will be a loan signing.

Seems plausible to me! You defo sure about the Caddis part though? That he's now tryna get in PDcC's good books?

I believe he was trying to get back in the good books, it may well be a loan deal out now...either to let things calm down and let him prove he has got his focus back or simply to let him keep his value up whilst moving him away from the club. I do know things had started to calm down but Caddis just wouldnt hold his hands up and accept losing the captaincy and then getting on with things as PDC expects. Not sure if it will be a loan to a Scottish club or a Championship side.
