Hopefully wenger does not sign a Van der Vaart or a Silva. As good as they are, Arsenal doesn't need small, creative players. A taller striker, an industrious midfielder, a goalkeeper and a smart center–back are needed.

so:

Chamakh, Yaya, Akinfeev and an unknown "SMART" defender will sign.

'Where is your source that David James will pay as you play at Glasgow Rangers?

If MacGregor is unavailable Alexander will play.'

Hi there,

My source is based in London and has links with a lot of clubs in both the EPL and SPL. He works for a large banking company in Canary Wharf and often picks up 'tit bits' of information.

The story that David James is going to Rangers is a new one, but because Allan McGregor is taking what is loosely called there 'a sabbatical' (i.e. he's being given the boot) there will be a Goalkeeping berth available.

Rangers do have the finances to pay him a short term deal (remember this was a sticky issue with Stoke City) and it's hoped that David James can help do some coaching work with the young goalkeepers coming through the youth/academy ranks at Ibrox.

It's not certain that he will start ahead of Neil Alexander, but he will play a few games for sure.

Plus, it may help him get into Fabio's team for the World Cup – providing he can prove himself.

Owen to Arsenal on a free? Hah. He is back to NUFC if they get promoted. Otherwise, to a smaller northern club like Wigan, Bolton, Blackburn. The lad wants to play, and wants to stay up north.

Just had a call from a celtic friend who gathers as much info on celtic as he can. he reckons mcgeady told mowbury he would only leave celtic for a EPL club capable of making europe but is now openly stating he would leave for any EPL team to put himself in the shop window. as a gers fan i'd be glad to see him go as on form he's a nightmare to keep quiet but still not sure if he'd cut it at a top 8 team. also ireland to arsenal (which has been posted) could be the missing piece of the jigsaw.

Chester fans are urging the Conference board to expel their team from the Conference league, in a final attempt to have Steve Vaughan and his Danish chums from having any power at the club.

Chester fans will accept a demotion down to the Unibond 1 North if it means that the club can continue even as AFC Chester.

Again, I will reply to another post regarding my post;

"I have it on good authority that Chelsea FC did do some business in the January transfer window, and the past month.

They have concluded deals for Sergio Aguero, David Villa, Angel di Maria, Romelu Lukaku, Nevan Subotic and Marek Hamsik."

What a load of crap. It just sounds like another Chelsea fan trying to put together their dream team. For starters David Villa is keen on a move to the Bernebau, but if he did move abroad, he has sounded out Liverpool and Man United as his two favourite foreign destinations. Sergio Aguero is the only possibe signing you included in your 'dream team', and even that is not a certainty. Atletico Madrid will hold out for a bid of around £35m– £40m, and it is a question of whether Chelsea value him that highly. Again though, other 'big' clubs are interested in Aguero which could push his price up even further.

It's hardly a dream team, I mean if I wanted to name a dream team, why would I include Subotic, di Maria, etc. I would've gone for Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka, Torres, etc.

It's actually hitting the press in Spain and in England that David Villa has said he'd leave Valencia in the summer for Chelsea, so have a think about it. Liverpool nor Man Utd could afford David Villa at the moment, anyway.

Kun Aguero is a Chelsea player, mark my words. The deal is done, Aguero has signed and it will go through just after the World Cup.

If I'm wrong on any of these, I'll eat my own face.

Regarding the replies I've had on my previous post regarding Chelsea FC.

Hilario will sign for Porto as a back–up to Helton. Hilario wants to return to Portugal and Porto are showing a real interest.

There has never been such a £32, 000,000 offer for Marek Hamsik. Juventus didn't even have that much to spend on one player last summer. Napoli value the Slovak star at 25–30 million euros. Chelsea have snuck in with £18, 000,000. The deal could actually include Deco, which is what I'm hearing now.

Forest fans, your wait will soon be over as Billy has won his battle over the transfer panel..

He wants Jamie O'Hara who is currently on loan at Pompey. He may wait until summer for him but take Michael Brown in the short term to provide civer for McKenna. Also looking at Jason Koumas for same role.

Desperate for left side cover at left back and midfield. Tommy Spurr is favourite but maybe Bouma..as for midfield, Albrightson from Villa is a possibility but also Danny Pugh from Stoke.

Busy times in next few days, Billy wants experience but players playing for a future not some slackers. Dan

Hamsik is going to replace Deco, who is leaving for Italy with Napoli, Inter and Juventus all keen. Marek has cost £18, 000,000.

I'm very interested in where you got this information from? Napoli rejected a bid of £32, 000,000 from Juventus last summer before Juventus signed Diego with Hamsik stating that he had no intention of leaving Napoli. Napoli's financial situation has continued to grow and get stronger since their rebirth in 2004 under De Laurentiis' ownership. Hamsik has repeatedly stated that he wants to be part of Napoli's path back to the top and doesn't want to leave until he's won something with them.

So why would Napoli accept a vastly reduced offer when they will have no shortage of clubs willing to pay £30,000,000+? And why would Hamsik want to leave?

I have it on good authority that Chelsea FC did do some business in the January transfer window, and the past month.

They have concluded deals for Sergio Aguero, David Villa, Angel di Maria, Romelu Lukaku, Nevan Subotic and Marek Hamsik.

Aguero will replace Kalou who is moving the opposite way to Atletico Madrid with £25, 000,000.

Villa will replace Anelka who will move to Italy, with Juventus and Milan chasing him. Villa has cost Chelsea £30,000,000.

Di Maria will replace Joe Cole who is off to Tottenham for free at the end of the season.

Lukaku is coming at the end of next season. In case you haven't heard or seen him, he's a talented lad from Belgian side Anderlecht. He's 16 and he's a first teamer and is an attacker. He's going to be World Class by the time he's 20.

Subotic will replace Alex who is sadly going to Germany with Bayern Munich keen to add him to the squad. Nevan will cost approximately £15, 000,000.

Hamsik is going to replace Deco, who is leaving for Italy with Napoli, Inter and Juventus all keen. Marek has cost £18, 000,000.

Carlo still want's to add a world–class right back, and someone who can play on the right of midfield.

Also leaving will be; Hilario (Porto), Belletti (Corinthians), A. Cole (Real Madrid).

Breaking news is that the Cardiff Blues will quit playing at the Cardiff City Stadium in a row over the rent paid to landlords Cardiff City FC.

Cardiff City are desperate for cash and are chasing up monies owed by the rugby club.

Cardiff Blues are set to move out and use either the old Arms Park pitch or the Millennium Stadium for the rest of their home games this season, and there are contingency plans being brought up for a stadium of their own (to be shared with Cardiff RFC) at a site near Roath Basin (which would be opposite the new BBC TV studios and media village once they move from their current base in Llandaff).

With a major cash channel shut down, Cardiff will be in dire straits come the summer (and no, not Mr. Knopfler's band either!)

Liverpool Transfer News.
Rafa is very keen on strengthening his left hand side of field by signing Taye Taiwo. Rafa feels he is in pole position to sign him, now that Man City are fully focusing on Maicon from Inter. A £14m bid should prise him away from France. Juan Mata is also on the top of the agendato strengthen the left left wing position, and he would be the top signing for Liverpoolbut would cost in the region of £21m, a sum Rafa is eager to spend on one player. Milan Jovanovic will come in for free to strengthen the attack and will be announced very shortly.

David James will be offered a short–term 'pay as you play' deal by Rangers this week, and is likely to accept.

With Allan 'Can't Keep It In His Pants' McGregor due to be kicked out of the squad this week (and moving to EPL or abroad, on strong advice from Ally McCoist) for his various shenanigans, Rangers will look to give James a chance as well as help him coach the young goalkeepers coming through the youth ranks.

Arsenal will not be spending heavily like most people think in the summer!Targets are already in place in the form of Marouane Chamakh, Gregory van der Wiel and Mesut Ozil.Mamadou Sakho has also been identified but will only come in if Gallas does not sign a new contract.

Some good news (at last) for Portsmouth fans:

Been told that we will definitely be ok for the rest of the season.

However..(now the not so good news)

None of the prospective buyers are going to stay, they are just here to invest and then demand money back from any new owner.

e.g. they will put £1m in and want £2m back.

There could be more trouble ahead next season – but a white knight is on the flanks..he is a Martigues–based lifelong fan who is set to make a move in the summer.

The guy is a millionaire and made his fortune through wine and fruit juice sales.

Could be just the 'tonic' needed at FP!
