David Villa and david Silva to Man Utd in the summer for around £60m. The money that was left over from Ronaldo's sale last year will form the basis of this figure. Apart from that, Utd will have to sell to raise the funds for new players, unless the anticipated take over does happen. Therefore, possible outs could include Nani; Berbatov; Tosic and many more.

Newcastle United will be signing 4 players this January. Danny Simpson has made his loan move from Manchester Utd permanent. Mike Williamson will complete his £1million move from Portsmouth tomorrow. Also coming in will be James Perch from Nottingham Forest for £1.5million and Marlon Harewood back on loan from Aston Villa.

I hear babel is looking for a loan move to get away from benitez because they have clashed many times. He wants to go to a small club that will suite him and make him look good enough to be called up for the dutch squad. Then a summer move to what he hopes will be a bigger club.

Don't bet against Liverpool signing Leon Osman. He is just the sort of hard–nosed English squad player with a good workrate that Rafa recognizes he needs right now.
The Huntelaar rumour is actually more ridiculous. The international player that is most likely to be brought in is striker Milan Jovanovic of Standard Liege.

You are part right. TH has not fully decided what to do. He may invest– I understand a full takeover is NOT on the cards, or he will pull out, and seek repayment of monies owed. Either is likely and he ALONE will decide in the coming months. Robinson is there as his eyes and ears, on the brief to find out if the board actually do anything constructive.

I have been saying the same for weeks as I too have contacts at this great club.
As far back as the close season it was obvious to many players that the new management team lacked ideas, man management skills and motivation.
Results/performances have mirrored this to date.
A major exodus is very much on the cards as senior players – some who love the club – are sick of the current situation. They feel they have worked with far better managers in the past and can do again with a move away.
The board will not seriously back Mowbray this window and risk having more cash wasted.
'Big names' will not entertain the Hoops with a low–key manager and no current (or possibly future) European football.
The signing of young un–tested Scandinavian players is proof of direction we are going.
Fellow Celtic fans must be made aware of the depths we may descend to before it is too late.
If we continue to lose the bulk of this squad, season book sales will continue to nosedive.

Galatasary have approached Arda concerning a contract extension but he refuses to discuss until summer. Possibly angling for a move? Chamakh has prmoised to decide between Liverpool and Arsenal by the end of next week. Simon Kjaer has refused to discuss his future until after the world cup. City are very keen but Agger has spoke well of Liverpool and it is understood that Benitez wants to make Agger and Kjaer a club–country partnership.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed his interest in AC Milan midfielder Mathieu Flamini and Fernando Gago of Real Madrid.
Flamini was strongly linked with a loan switch to Eastlands earlier in the week but the Serie A side claimed they were yet to receive an official offer.
The former Arsenal player has slipped down the pecking order under coach Leonardo and is keen to feature regularly in the coming months to ensure he features in France's World Cup squad.
Although primarily a defensive midfielder, Flamini has also been operating at right–back for the San Siro side and could be brought in by City to bolster their backline.
Real's Argentina international midfielder Gagohas found regular action limited with the Spanish giants and has been linked with a January switch. This is Fact!!!

Huntelaar to join on loan but only to end of season as Rafa is confident of landing either of the 2 Bosman strikers he is talking too (Chamakh or Jovanovic).
Babel may go to Birmingham but only on loan to the end of the season as Munich have asked to be kept informed of his situation should they lose Ribery to Madrid in the summer. Rafa may use Babel as a player + cash deal to try and bring Lahm to Anfield as Aurelio doesn't look like he wants to renew his contract and Insua still lacks experience.
The only other purchase this window will be Johnson of Middlesbrough with a £5m fee agreed and Plessis going on loan to Strachan's side for the rest of the season.

I haven't posted on here for a while but I see Liverpool FC fans are still playing fantasy football as regards who they're going to buy. As bad as Man U's debt is (£716 million), the Pool's debt is still staggering, just short of £300 million according to the marketingweek.co.uk site. And in the current money–tight climate, LFC's debt might as well be the same as Utd's. So any ideas of making big name purchases for either team, without selling first, are out. As for the "story" about Van Nistelrooy going to LFC on loan – LFC fans wake up, your team can't afford his wage demands. Indeed David Sullivan has just said today (Friday) a 'special player' aka Van Nist has been offered £100,000 a week to play for them. Secondly, LFC cannot afford Chamakh and only ever sniffed around hoping to get him at a cut–down price. Chamakh's preferred destination has always been Arsenal and wily Wenger has the funds. Thirdly, for the same reasons as Chamakh, neither Van DerVaart or Carlton Cole will be playing at Anfield – unless it's on an opposition team. As some comfort, you can rest assured Gerrard won't be leaving LFC, but that's only because his 'social/personal life' won't permit it. Torres is growing more and more disillusioned at Anfield but he won't go to Madrid out of loyalty to his former team; expect a huge bid from City or Chelsea (if not banned) in the Summer, which the LFC Board will accept. As for Man U, Vidic may leave as early as next week to Barcelona for anywhere in the region of £20 million – the stories about his injury are a smoke–screen. Utd are already talking to Chellini and his agent about a quick swoop – in the region of £10 – £12 million, so the Board will be appeased. Finally, stories about Madrid making a £60 million plus offer for Rooney in the Summer are partly true; they will bid for him but expect the fee to be in the region of £30 – £35 million. Madrid know Utd are broke and can get away with lowering the offer.

THE TRUTH REGARDING CELTIC F.C.
I've read a lot of nonsensical comments on here with regard to Celtic and I want to provide some real substance to the facts surrounding the club at the moment. The following information comes from inside the Celtic dressing room from one current top team player and one who recently had to retire, I happen to be friendly with both.
Fact: There is so much dissaray within the dressing room where Mowbray and Venus have lost the respect of top first team players.
Fact: Boruc, McGeady, Brown, MacDonald, McManus are all available for sale in this window if price is right.
Fact: The more senior players who have the club at heart are holding out for Mowbray to be sacked/resign in the summer. If he stays you will see more first team regulars leave.
Fact: The Celtic board will not be splashing out on any BIG named signings but are working on the reccommendations of chief scout John Park, bringing in mainly young players from the nordic regions of Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
Fact: There will be no Roy Keane, Robbie Keane, Van the man, Senderos.
Fact: Paul lambert has not been contacted (yet) by anyone in connection with Celtic but will be the No1 choice of the board if Celtic's fortunes don't improve. Lambert will surround himself with Larrsson and Lennon.
I hope this helps to clear up some of the dillusional stuff we are seeing with regards to a truly great club. I urge all celtic fans to keep it real, we are better than that.

Lets be realistic here, I am a massive Celtic fan and I know myself that Robbie Keane, Michael Owen etc. won't be coming, atleast not anytime soon.
Early next week Celtic will announce the signing of Danish 6, 1" Striker Morten "Duncan" Rasmussen for a fee of £1.6m.
Celtic will give trial's to several other youth players only one I know for sure right now is :
Rabiu Ibrahim 18 year old Nigerian CAM/FC
Another defender who could be in the frame for a loan move until end of season before he moves to Genoa is Phillipe Senderos... here's hoping.

Liverpool are set to sign Jones from Sunderland, But the transfer fee will not be paid untill the end of the season, Only contract talks divide the player now, Also I have heard Liverpool are monetering Robinho's situation with MAnchester City and Could offer babel+10m for him, Worth a try, Chamakha is set to sign for Liverpool THIS WINDOW as Bordeux know now for sure he will not sign for them, they will atleast try to get something from him so who ever he does pick, Which the odds are Liverpool, He will be there this window,
These are real rumours and could happen.

Coventry City Transfer News.
Elliott Ward will leave the club to join either Plymouth, Huddersfield or Barnsley for 600k and Leon Best will sign for Burnley or Middlesbrough for 1.2m. Ashley Cain, Adam Walker and Jermaine Grandison will go out on loan for the rest of the season. Michael Doyle, Stephen Wright and Dimi Konstantopoulos will leave in the summer when their contracts expire. Doyle will sign for Leeds, Wright will sign for Tranmere and Konstantopoulos will sign for Hartlepool.
Having already signed Richard Wood from Sheffield Wednesday, Chris Hussey from AFC Wimbledon, Gary Deegan from Bohemians and Carl Baker from Stockport, they will complete the signing of Gary Madine from Carlisle.
Chris Coleman is interested in the following players, who could sign this month or in the summer:

Birmingham to bid 8mil for West ham's highly rated left winger Junior Stanislas if they fail to sign Aiden McGeady. Also, a 5mil bid for Napoli's Argentine Striker Ezequiel Lavezzi could be in the works.

I've just heard that Franck Ribery is definitely a Real Madrid player come the Summer. The deal is done, the fee has been agreed and Ribery can't wait to move out there. Bayern Munich have been mentioning contract talks to try and stop other clubs making offers 24/7.
Everton are after Hatem Ben Arfa, who might be available on loan as he is struggling at Marseille.
Some other French rumours or facts;
Lyon signed Dejan Lovre from Dinamo Zagreb, who was a reported target of both Tottenham and Chelsea, so all rumours must stop about this one.
Lyon are now getting back into shape, and starting to win games, the end of the season will be interesting as Bordeaux, Marseille and Lyon will all fight for the Ligue 1 title.
Lyon will sign one more player, and it's likely to be a striker. Hugo Lloris is going nowhere for a number of years, as he's one of France's biggest talents. Keep on eye on Miralem Pjanic, he's a tremendous football player, and may be linked with a big move in the coming days.
On to Bordeaux, Marouane Chamakh will leave, but it's a case of when. He's generated a lot of interest during this transfer window, and it's been widely speculated that Liverpool could be his final destination, but with the Reds in talks with Milan Jovanovic from Standard Liege, maybe they see themselves losing out on the highly–rated Moroccan international. Chamakh may also sign for Chelsea or may yet go to Arsenal in the Summer. Yoann Gourcuff is not going anywhere yet, he may eventually move to Real Madrid and follow his idol Zinedine Zidane. The boy is an extreme talent and will be one of the best players in the World in the coming two seasons.
Bordeaux will sign one or two players in the next week.
Marseille may lose Hatem Ben Arfa as stated but have adequate replacements already. Gabi Heinze has been ruled out for a while, so Marseille may look to replace him. Taye Taiwo is also generating a lot of interest, this time from Liverpool, but no move will happen yet.

Celtic – I have just spent the last 7 hours outside celtic park and the previous 3 outside lennoxtown...and i can confirm that I saw no–one, naebody, nada.i even spoke to 2 superstore staff and they confirmed my sightings!! HOWEVER, i do honestly have a cousin from hill'o'beath and he can say without doubt that Scott Brown is fuming with the "daily ranger" and it's reporting on his comments. Yes he did speak to Mowbray, yes Mowbray did tell him that he could be sold in January, but what he also told them, which was not put in print, is that any sale would have to be for both his and Celtic's benefit, i.e at least £5m for Celtic and at least a current top 7 side for him. Mowbray want's Scott to be his next captain and also one of 3 players to build his "new" team around, the others being McGeady and Ki. Celtic have spent toward £5m this january and will spend at least the same again before the end of month, whether this is in transfer fees or assuming weekly wage payments of loan deals is another question. This is is the truth, this is Johnarob speaking....hail hail....p.s Boyd to Villa, Mendes to no–one (not fit enough) and Bougherra to slap them in the face again when he does not return on time from ACN....
