Do your sums, the money from sales outweighs the money spent, 23 million is way off the mark.

With a week to go of the transfer window, he latest names linked with the Swans are follows:-

Sandro Ramirez of Barca, Spurs heavily linked, so are Newcastle, has a €12m clause that would need to be activated. Is is nothing more than a rumour currently as I have not heard anything concrete.

Gregoire Defrel of Sassuolo is a player that the Swans were not interested in until the appointment of Guidolin. It is a player he has scouted extensively while in his role at Watford and Udinese. The interest has remained with him so is a name he has suggested.

Balde Keita of Lazio is seen as a player who could inject much needed cutting edge from out wide as the team has lacked real width for a while. Bid has been made, been rejected, waiting to see if another will be made.

Scott Sinclair, bid has been made, Aston Villa are waiting to see if Newcastle are going to follow up their enquiry with a bid to get as much as they can by starting a mini bidding war.

Seydou Doumbia of Roma, all interest in him appears to be over now as Guidolin has concerns over how he would adapt to England after failing so badly in Italy.

Jordan Rhodes of Blackburn is of interest but not at the £12m asking price, possibly a deal with Eder is the answer but again nothing substantial to report.

Ravel Morrison of Lazio is of interest to Bournemouth and Swans, but no enquiry has been made by the Swans, he is on their list of targets however.

Ogenyi Onazi of Lazio is a target, is available and well liked by Guidolin, and wants a move to England. The problem is that Swans hierarchy are aware this is not the key area that needs strengthening as Cork and Britton are both in form. This is shame as if the other areas had been strengthened earlier then this is the type of deal that could be completed promptly.

Dwight Gayle is under consideration but Palace will only consider a swap for Gomis.

Guidolin has assessed the squad since the Watford game and all the murmurs from within the club is that they will try and be active in the final week of the window.

Guidolin is looking to implement his 3-5-1-1 formation in his first home game.

It's Everton today and we need someone to put the ball in the back of the net. Guidolin has only been in the Club a week mate and lads are struggling to get there heads around the new formation. So probably only change being Gomis back in.

They've tried to get all their old players back on loan, but the priority is a striker. Duvan Zapata the latest being discussed.

I didn't say today's game was the home game. I said Guidolin will implement his style and formation in his first home game, as the Everton game came too soon to implement them.

Further to my reply, I don't understand any point you're making?

The players are not struggling with the new formation, as it hasn't been overly used in training yet.

We need someone to put the ball in the net - that's why most of what I'm hearing is for offensive players, as my post highlights. So kind of a moot point from you there.

We tried to get De Guzman back on loan, enquired about Allen and have bid for Sinclair. We hold an interest in Borini but I feel that is just as much to counter Fat Sam trying to unsettle Ayew as it is an actual interest.

Priority is a striker, and it won't be Zapata.

Defrel never worked at Watford, only Udinese under the Pozzos.

Defrel is a striker at Sassuolo, I was referring to Guidolin, he was a consultant at Watford and some sort of Director of Football role at Udinese after taking a break from management.
