To the 'newcastle'(rangers) fan, your talking absolute ste pal..100% won't be sadaza or duberry, concalves is a well publicised possibility, also don't be surprised to see scott mcdonald back in the hoops, other targets for lennon(who i hope gets the job) are sean st ledger, lee wallace, gary oneil, adam lallana, denisov, morgaro gomez, james mcfadden, james mcarthur, michael brown, mikel silvestre, sol bamba, morten gamst pederson, shane long & gunnarson– note: these are just players our scouts have been to watch several times. there will no doubt be others between now and the end of the season. my best mates uncle is a scout for dundee utd and he met a scout for celtic, and they discussed these players as potential celtic targets.
POSSIBLE DEPARTURES ARE:
boruc–sunderland/tottenham
mcgeady–birmingham
naylor–contract expired
samaras–whoever the fck will have him
mcgowan–hibs
crosas–espanyol/getafe
zhi–blackpool
all loanees with exception of kamara & n'guemo returning to parent clubs
o'dea–championship

Yes that is why Dunford left because they have found a replacement for him , the target are zarate, adriano, garay loan , bojan loan, joe hart or Ben Foster ,

24 Apr 2010 21:16:50
To those who are saying about Birmingham City's new owners– who is going to buy us, when are they going to buy us and who are our transfer targets?

24 Apr 2010 21:24:57
Where is the substance in the Birmingham City rumours? There are doubts about the money available now but why would a Prince from UAE be interested in Birmingham City when he could invest in Liverpool/Man United? I would love this to be true but can't see it.

Can someone confirm that this is true? Is that why Dunford resigned yesterday?

24 Apr 2010 21:38:44
Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is buying LFC – watch for this news to break in the next few days.

The Sheik will then decide whether to stick with Rafa or employ The Special One.

The squad needs a left back and a winger desperatly. These will be Kolarov and Van der Vaart. They also need a centre back and a defensive midfielder. Likely targets are Cahill/Kjaer and Diarra/Martinez

Finally, expect the traditional marquee signing (that all new owners bring) – this will be either Benzema or Aguero.

Dont believe me? – Just wait and see.

24 Apr 2010 21:51:11
Matty james will make a return to deepdale for a 12 month loan period and the shock is that danny welbeck should be returning on a 12 month loan as well this is some brilliant news for PNE fans because their strikers at the moment are poor and need selling so maybe a promotion push next season

24 Apr 2010 20:57:12
Arsenal will buy a few players. 2 being world class. I don't know if it is true but I think that AW made an enquiry for andre–pierre gignac and mevlut erdinç. Apparently he did place a bid for erdinç only to chase Villa after the Man United loss. If AW does buy a replacement expect him to be a lone striker specialist.
Unknown.

Hi, This is genuine news on old firm teams. Celtic DEFINETLY won't have £25 million to spend in summer. . in fact the thought of that is more laughable than hearing Ranger will be taken over by billionaires. anyway now TIP for all fans of football that the new celtic manager will either be. . wait for it. sir alex ferguson. . aye right anyway seriously the new manager will be lennon with and experienced manager to assist really abit like rangers situation with walter smith and ally mccoist. Players for celtic in: Sandaza Dundee utd, Concalves Hearts, Duberry St johnstone, and a few others.

Rangers will be took over before end of season or just after by Rangers fanatic(s) who will invest in club to seal new deals for several players and bring in a few players. players staying are, danny wilson, steve davis, david wier, nacho novo, and a possability of madjid bougherra as he loves life in Scotland. players who have strong links to rangers: david goodwillie dundee utd, christophe berra wolves, jody morris st johnstone, a new keeper and 2 other new players.

anyway thanx for reading if you don't believe uch well u have just wasted your time reading this but just watch the news you will be suprised.

I am not an old firm fan but an newcastle utd fan who lives in scotland. MON THE TOON!.

Talking about rumours & gossip, heard an interesting one the other day that Ashley Cole is infact gay, which has led to his marriage breakdown.
Was told this by someone who goes in Piers Morgans ex–wife's hairdresser's, who has a lot of celeb clients.
MUFC Rumours: Lots of players being followed, got a feeling Modric or veloso will sign, hopefully Fabiano as he would be superb for a few years as Macheda comes through, & maybe another left winger/forward i.e. Jovetic, Sanchez, Di Maria or Ben Arfa.

24 Apr 2010 19:59:23
Manchester United Rumours:

Sir Alex will look to Gourcuff to replace Giggs. Yoann would have a year to adjust and revolve with Giggs, something which could be vital to ensuring the boy is comfortable when the time comes to claim his place in the starting 11.

Fergie knows his team are being worked out too quickly with the wing play they currently employ. They have no real option either as apart from Rooney and Scholes, they lack that bite in the final third. In fairness they have great wingers but as Barcelona and Bayern showed against United, they need a quality playmaker to strike through the centre, retain possession and provide variation. Fletcher and Carrick are good players all round but going forward requires a specialist. Hopefully this will bring out the best of Berbatov who won't be leaving this summer as his problem has been that he isn't a strong header of the ball nor does he get on many crosses. Sir Alex knows what kind of player he is and wouldn't pay 30million if he didn't know how to utilise him (Veron aside, though who honestly saw that coming?!). This means Gourcuff will come in to put the ball where it needs to be without impinging on the wing play of Valencia and Nani to supply Wayne. Fletcher will cover Yoann with his sheer athleticism and tenacity in a tackle.

Anderson won't be leaving. He has been disappointing at times but Sir Alex knows that the player has a lot of potential and will show his promise when he resumes training. Nani could be his inspiration over next season.

I doubt Benzema will come, he turned United down before Madrid and would more than likely end up at one of the Italian teams if he does at all leave.

Gibson will be blooded towards becoming Scholes' replacement.

Kuszczak will leave for first team football if Akinfeev comes in on a free.

Tosic, Fabio and Hernandes will be on loan.

Manchester United 10/11:

Van Der Sar/Akinfeev (possible)

Neville/Rafael/Brown Ferdinand/Smalling Vidic/Evans Evra/O'Shea

Valencia/Obertan/Fletcher/Scholes/Anderson/Gibson/Hargreaves/Gourcuff/Giggs/Carrick/Nani/Park

Rooney/Macheda/Diouf Berbatov/Wellbeck/Owen

Fergie knows with this team he has more than enough quality to push for victory in the Champions league and Premiership before retiring at the end of next year as one of the greatest managers we have seen. He will leave a team with a healthy mix of experience and youth for the incoming manager (god knows who this will be).

Overheard in the bar area at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, Two very well dressed business men not sure who they were. But allegedly something that is being very hushed up is that David Beckham is one of the mysterious Red Knights that are looking to take over at United. Don't know if there is any truth in this and to be honest as an Oldham supporter i don't really care but i thought you might be interested.

24 Apr 2010 20:22:42
Carlisle news. Keogh, Murphy, Harte(small fee), Pidgeley, Rothery, Burns, Dobie all to leave in the summer, Bridge–wilkinson, Madine offered to clubs, all loanees to return to respective clubs. 24 Apr 2010 19:30:14
4 players Rafa want b4 World Cup :
Garry cahill ( 13m )
Juan Mata ( 16m )
Carlton Col ( 10m )
Kolarof ( 10m )
Rafa fear the cup will increase these players prices so he want all of them signs in next month

Others targets : Milan Jovanović ( free ) + Dida ( free ) + Lee Chung–Yong or Georginio Wijnaldum ( 7m ) VDV ( 7M )

24 Apr 2010 19:32:00
If Man City keep Roberto Mancini expect the majority of their players to come from EPL AND LIGA BBVA. However Roberto Mancini doesn't have an edge in purchasing Dutch wizard Wesley Sneijder and recent remarks against Inter Milan's manager and hierachy means he doesn't necessarily give him a healthy relationship with the board.

24 Apr 2010 19:34:05
Liverpool will bid 18 – 20M to bolton due Garry Cahill & Lee Chung–Yong

Rafa confident that Bolton can't refuse such a deal
and also want to give him Ngog on loan for 1 year

24 Apr 2010 19:37:52
In the daily mail 3 days ago it said Sheikh Mohammed had been stuck in newmarket following the ash clouds and couldnt return to uae when he wanted to , the real reason he was still here is he was meeting chairman broughton at the race course to finalise(already had some meetings) liverpool takeover.takeover will be done by friday 30th and will be made public shortly after (normally kept hush hush as long as possible to keep transfer targets prices down)because liverpool will miss the top 4 they want to let as many agents/players know as soon as possible that liverpool are going to invest big(not in same league as man city though)hopeing this will attract the bigger players .
redz on the up

My brother–in–laws a sub–editor on a Red Top and going by previous form these rumours are 70–90% on. Fact, Levy is v impressed with Redknapp and as a result Harry will be given surprisingly big money to spend this Summer. Sandro already signed but Harry has a real eye on Scott Parker. Needless to say Keane isn't coming back from Celtic but may well go to Newcastle (you heard it here first). Modric to MUFC rumour unlikely, definately not so if Spurs take 4th but unlikely either way as Utd are more strapped for cash then has been admitted.Pav is off, Germany most likely destination where he may end up facing Berbatov who is poss on his way to Bayern Munich. Ben Arfa to MUFC v unlikely given his recent legal hassle, Glaziers glad to have excuse not to to shell out. Joe Cole likely to Citeh but slim chance of him joining Spurs as he would rather stay in London. Apparently Steve Gs gonna stay at Pool but Torres situation iffy for Reds if they don't get 4th.Apparently the Milner to MUFC story does have legs but not def yet by ant stretch. Also no big signings at AFC where Wenger is convinced only injuries stooped Arse getting Silverware this year. Also a non–story is ONeill leaving Villa, hes staying.

With west ham all but safe from relegation it is true that a buyer from the middle east has been found for the other 50%
40million will be made avaliable plus all players sales will be added on top

Mark Hughes will be the new west ham managers

players thought to be on the list are a few of citys players and surprisingly if city fail to qualify for the champions league a cheeky bid for carlos tevez will be made.

also if hughes is manager expect bellamy and barry to join

This is true, Liverpool are chasing a left back, centre defender, central defensive midfielder, a right and left winger and a back up striker for Torres

Liverpool are apparently going to get Aleksandr Kolorov from Lazio as they will be relegated. If they do fail to get him, then they will go to Lyon and enquire about Aly Cissoko and he himself is an avid fan of Liverpool FC

For the Central Defender, first of all Carragher will drop to the bench to make the occasional appearances next season, apart from Kjaer who will be used a cover, Liverpool have made enquiries about Werder Bremen's Per Mertesacker
I can only think of the world class partnership between Agger and Mertesacker!! wid Skrtel and Kjaer and Carra as backup, and also "The Greek"

CDM:– Definately Javi Martinez who is a long term admirer of Benitez. If not him, then a player of Jack Rodwell's age will be brought, although Liverpool will not land Rodwell since he is evertonian and likes Utd(who needs the SOB), we will get a player his age and with a keen eye for goal and good defensive record. In short, we will raid Hoffeinheim for Franco Zuccilini from ARG.

RWM and LWM:– We will try for Hazard, but if he doesn't join us, then we will defo sign Sotiris and as for LWM, if we don't get Mata, we will defo sign Lee Chung Yong who is a younger asian "ronaldinho"

Back Up Striker, The only option is see, is a swap. Outrageously, Liverpool will go to Fiorentina and pay them 10m plus Ngog and Pacheco on loan and will buy non other than Stevan Jovetic who is a junior Torres and also calls him his idol.

More Next time!!!.

Rafael Benitez is looking at these players[in no particular order] to bolster his squad and to get Liverpool back to the top 1.Carlton Cole 2. Rafael van der Vaart 3.James Milner 4. Alaksandar Kolarov 5.Wayne Hennesy 6.Gary Cahill 7.Charles N'Zogbia 8.Chung–Yong Lee Rafa is looking to get rid of deadwood which could see as many as 10 of the first team squad leaving such as 1.Phillipe Degen 2.Albert Riera 3.Ryan Babel 4.Fabio Aurelio 5.Diego Cavalieri 7.Sotiris Krygiakos 8.Nabil El Zhar 9.Alberto Aquilani 10.Yossi Benayoun{I know the last 2 are good players but Aquilani is believed to be too brittel and Yossi wants to leave} and a couple of players who are on loan will be sold such as Nemeth, Itandje and San Jose. All these players could raise up to £50million. Surprisingly this year Rafa is not looking to any Spaniards, and for all we know he won't even be at Anfield next season, which is looking like it could be a fairly likely situation, so I don't think Barclays should be giving money{£50million plus Sales} to the current manager, I have heard they are going to give Rafa money to bolster the squad and make the club look more attractive to any one looking to buy it.However if say Rafa brings in 1 or 2 players and the new owners want a new manager then surely the money should be saved for whoever this manager will be targeting.

24 Apr 2010 17:18:00
Maroaune fellaini is favourite to join chelsea in a defensive midfield role as an understudy to micheal essien. Chelsea will also bid for pato, schweinsteiger, angel di maria and apparently diego. They won't change much in defense and are yet to reach a conclusion for buying a new goalkeeper

24 Apr 2010 17:18:12

Rangers' debts will be cut in half almost after septic do not qualify for the champions league group stage and we get all of the appearance money. expect announcements on a new owner to be made in the week before the trophy is lifted at home against motherwell. the new owner will offer walter, ally and kenny new deal as well as putting deals on the table for wee nacho, bougherra, boyd, thomson, wilson, davis, mculloch and maybe even weir. don't expect much money to be spent in the summer and most signings will be to replace outgoing players. there will be one or two strikers coming in, as well as 2 new midfielders, 2 new defenders and a new goalkeeper. 2 shock signings could be marco breciano from palermo and jermaine beckford from leeds. these players will be attracted by the fact that they can play in europe year in year out and win thing. expect a keeper to come in on loan.

Burnley have begun planning for the Championship already, in advance of their inevitable relegation.

Brian Laws is going to be dismissed at the end of the season with Tony Mowbray taking the job on a three year contract. He has been in talks with BFC director Brendan Flood since he was sacked by Celtic and an agreement has been reached. Laws will only get six months paid off his contract if he fails to reach a target of 35 points that was set as the minimum by the board of directors upon his appointment.

Steven Fletcher and Chris Eagles will be sold to Bolton for a combined £7m, with Tyrone Mears also signing for Aston Villa for £3m.

Mowbray has already set a shortlist for Barry Kilby and Brendan Flood that he wants to bring in amid a season of drastic change at Turf Moor:

Robert Koren – £1m from WBA
Alex Smithies – £2m from Huddersfield Town
Craig Dawson – £1m from Rochdale
Gylfi Sigurdsson – £2.5m from Reading
Gary Hooper – £1.5m from Scthorpe
Charlie Adam – £2.5m from Blackpool
Sean St Ledger – £2.5m from Preston North End

St Ledger was his first port of call, he is a huge fan of the centre back and tried to sign him for Celtic. With the sales of Fletcher, Mears and Eagles combined with the parachute payments and season ticket money, Mowbray has the best part of £15m to play with, that has been allocated as the transfer budget. The new stand replacing the Cricket Field Stand is also being built at the end of next season, but this is being fund from seperate revenue streams to the Premier League money.

24 Apr 2010 17:25:09

24 Apr 2010 15:35:22
This steven Gerrard rumour going around isn't being touched by any of the press!

My source from the sun aint touching it saying its being going around for ages probs from man utd or eveton fans, but saying that certain newspapers e.g the sun and times are reporting that his wife isn't wearing her wedding ring make wt u like!

with this it seems like Gerrard will stay at Liverpool with only a really big bid from real that could tempt him away, riera def off along with fabio meaning rafa if he stays will be looking to strengthen his life side!!

24 Apr 2010 14:58:00
Okay kids, let's get this straight, all these Gerrard rumours are absolute dogsht. None of it is true, because if it would be, the press would be having a field day rather than it being written on CaughtOffside (which by the way, isn't that great for football news). Gerrard will stay, Torres will stay, Benitez will stay. Kolarov, Mata, Van Der Vaart, Jovanovic and Kjear will come in. Other possible transfers include Bale, Donavon, Cahill, Walcott and Richards.

24 Apr 2010 15:02:26
To the person who wrote..
23 Apr 2010 22:47:13
All the talk about Gerrard impregnating a then 15 year old girl meaning he will move abroad is utter rubbish. Although I don't doubt he has personal problems at the moment they are being blown out of all proportion. It is just a nasty internet rumour that has grown wings (I was even text it today, the text was straight from this site!)

If it was true then nothing would protect him from it, and can you imagine a famous paedophile asking a judge to protect his private life? Nonsense. He would be playing inside and not off to Madrid or Inter. I have no doubt he has relationship problems but nothing like the evil gossip spread by jealous fans who will never have a player like him.

Take over imminent, hence Rafa's 'accidental' slip about not deciding on his future until next week when the new owners are in place.

Unfortunately your both right and wrong.. your right it wasn't Gerrard (but something had definantly been up this season no Roy of the rovers as previous season's)
But there was a player caught with an under–age. Boy!.. not girl.

And it has been covered up. beleive me with idols = (popstars, actors, football players.. anyone with wealth)these things go on far more than you realise.. rome never ended. but they are all blackmailed with it. and its brought up once they have served there purpose.. jackson anyone. Gerrard to Real madrid done deal in swap with VDV & Higuain
Agreement was reached when liverpool in madrid
Liverpool also want Guti in free transfer but real reluctant to let him go in free and want 3m

So in a day in Spain, all three players agreed wages and terms and both clubs were happy – Come On!! Your playing Championship Manager mate!

L'pool have made an enquiry about VDV, as all the papers are saying! The rest is on your PC screen!

Delighted to hear that Celtic will have £25m to spend. That means their debt will be more than the Champions!! Plus, as we saw in January buying nearly a whole new team doesn't usually work (Despite bringing in Keane, Kamara etc).

Back in reality – There are no targets for the runners up, as they have not appointed a manager. Yes, Lennon is looking at players, but he won't be offered the job. Levein is rumoured to be the replacement (good manager) and if appointed will pursue players like Colin Nish and Gary Kenneth. But not for £25m! No more than 3 players will come in. No funds for anything else. Get used to it.

Anyway, on to the Champions – despite going through the most difficult period in their history – they have managed to win back–to–back titles. Thoroughly deserved and without some "influnce" asserted from elsewhere they would have won 3 in a row.

There will be no wholesale purchases at either of the Glasgow giants. Rangers restructuring is going well, but now is not the time to spend recklessly. McArthur wants to go Rangers. Also expect a move for John Ruddy. Webster will return and a move may be made for a winger/creative attacking midfielder, but this will be on loan.

Over the last couple weeks, these players have been linked to Liverpool; Steven Pienaar, Gary Cahill, Geoginio Wijnaldum and Steven Mouyokolo. Maybe the only World Class player is Pienaar. The rest do have potential to be World Class, but aren't right now. I think these will be the right signings for us if we don't make the champions league.

Arsenal will sign no more than 4 players in the summer. premiership clubs will be made to adhere to the max25 player rule, with 8"homegrown". HG has been defined as trained with a home club for 3 years under the age of 21. as it stands, our homegrown players are: Mannone, Campbell, Djourou, Clichy, Gibbs, Traore, Song, Merida, Denilson, Fabregas, Ramsey, Eastmond, Diaby, Bendtner, Senderos, Walcott and most of the youngsters. As such despite certain players leaving, Arsenal will comfortably satisfy the homegrown rule. What all clubs will inevitably struggle with, is the fact that clubs are to be limited to a first team of 25 players. What happens if injuries hit?
Anyway, Wenger needs a GK, CB, CF and im guessing Eden Hazard.
GK: will be one of Frey, Neuer, Lloris or Hart. I can't see Green coming in, because he wouldn't be much of an improvement on Almunia. my bet would be a £9m bid for Joe Hart.
CB: Zapata, Cahill, Richards, Sakho and Mexes are all candidates. Personal choice would be Zapata given his versatility in being able to cover the wholeof the back line, but don't be shocked to see a move for an English player.
CF: Well its pretty obvious this will be Chamakh, is it not?
Hazard: Wenger is a keen admirer, and will not want to miss out on yet another promising future world–beater. he would only move to Arsenal or Real Madrid in any case, and knows he will get much more playing time at the Emirates than at the Bernabeu.
Further, Wenger will be considering signings for the future, as he always has done, and we love him for it. Savic, Lukaku and Juste Abou are all on the radar. I doubt we will sign Abou, but i think the other 2 are distinct possibilities. Savic has a trial with us and the young Montenegren player of the year is available for 2m. lukaku is one of europe's biggest prospects, and many teams will be in for him. however i can only see him moving to the premiership. Chelsea will see him as a natural replacement for Drogba, Man Utd will want him given the likelihood he will be the next Drogba, Arsenal will want him because he is exactly the kind of player wenger looks out for, and Man City will want to flex their financial muscles. Liverpool are simply not the attraction they used to be, but it has been obvious for 2 seasons to every1 except maybe Benitez himself that they need cover for Torres.
Leaving Arsenal will be Silvestre, Senderos, Fabianski, Traore, Eduardo, Mannone(loan), Vela(loan), Wilshere(loan), and probably Gallas(in which case 2 CB will be signed, my tip is Mexes).
squad for next season:
GK: hart(HG), almunia, szczesny
RB: Sagna, Eboue
CB: Zapata, Vermaelen, Djourou(HG), Campbell(HG), Nordtveit
LB: Clichy(HG), Gibbs(HG),
DCM: Song(HG), Eastmond(HG)
ACM: Fabregas(HG), Diaby(HG), Rosicky, Denilson(HG), Ramsey(HG)
RW: Nasri, Walcott(HG)
LW: Arshavin, Hazard,
CF: RVP, Bendtner(HG), Chamakh
on the fringes will be the likes of:Botelho, Wellington, Galindo, Sunu, Lansbury, Hoyte and Savic.

Big trouble ahead for LFC, the yanks have told acting temporary LFC chairman Martin Broughton to sell of expensive players such as Gerrard, Torres and Mascherano. It is believes the yanks have some bids on the table for the club that they want to accept but not before making some extra money by selling of the top stars. I hope this is wrong, just heard this from a very reliable source who works in the media and he doesn't buls around. if this is true it will be on big time against the yanks

Options: the options are hunterlaar, dzeko, are unliekly but worth mentioning, luis fabiano, nilmar, or villa(only in a swap deal with berbs goign the other way), podolski, benzema.

likey outcome: i reckon benzema is first choice as he hasnt settled into real madrid and could be ours for about 25–30m. if not him then i think hunterlaar coultd be an option in a swap deal with berbs.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE SUN PAPER, UNITED ONLY HAVE TWO STRIKERS IN MIND AND THAT IS BENZEMA AND JOVETIC, EITHER ONE OF THESE FERGIE WILL HAVE IF POSSIBLE, EXPECT A BID FOR JOVETIC BEFORE THE WORLD CUP, JOVETIC'S VALUE IS A TOUGH ONE, BUT HE COULD BE WRAPPED UP FOR AS LITTLE AS 15M WHEREAS BENZEMA WILL COST BETWEEN 20–25M!

((((if Arsenal and Madrid don't bid which is likely as Madrid want Di Maria and Arsenal feel Nasri is a very similar player".)))

both real madrid and arsenal are pushing for hazards signature as they both know he is goin to be a future star like messi.
nasri is a similar player but nasri will revert back to centeral attacking midfeilder as that's what he usually plays, he has just played on the wing this season because of the injury voes.
also arshavin should be leaving arsenal in the summer and hazard is the perfect replacement for him.
to sum it all up.. YES ARSENAL REALLY WANT HAZARD !
they probably want him the most.

How many of the deluded top half teams think that Darren Bent and Craig Gordon are going anywhere in the summer, for one thing Sunderland are trying to build for the future and get better every season so getting rid of our best players is not going to happen, any team tries to even enquire about them Niall Quinn and Steve Bruce will tell them to go and do one. Anyway the players out of Sunderland will be:–

Hi i keep hearing Rafa's 'accidental' slip about not deciding on his future until next week when the new owners are in place.
Where was this & are they his words?
Anyone provide any info on this ? (editor) {editor's note – personally I think he is referring to the second leg against Atletico. I have been told so many times, that new owners are completing due diligence and will be in place in a few days, that I no longer believe anyone who tells me that a takeover is imminent. The two clowns in charge seem to be able to find ways to mess up anything!}

24 Apr 2010 07:37:19
Great news for Liverpool fans a deal to bring Rafael van der Vaart to Anfield is all but done and he will be joining for £7.5million which could turn out to be the bargain of the season, apparently there was an agreement made when Alonso went to Madrid but the deal was put off because Rafael VDV's wife was very ill and he did not want to move until she got better . The other day when Liverpool travelled to Madrid Liverpool officials met with Real Madrid officials to duke out a deal. This is exactly the kind of player we need in my opinion someone who will always try to get the ball forward quickly and has a lot of quality.

24 Apr 2010 00:45:45

Heard that both Celtic and Rangers have held talks with Americans about investment, but they've been put off by Rangers debt, and will invest in Celtic only. Celtic and Rangers to play pre season friendly in Jersey or Boston in the summer. Celtic to sell of Boruc, Brown, McGeady, McManus, Fortune and Hinkel raising around £20million.

Lennon to get only half of this to sign six players and hold the rest back in case they sack him by January. Lennons targets Caldwell (Burnley)Free, Ramis £2.5m, St Ledger £3m, Gary Hooper £1m, Alejandro Faurlin £3m, Cerny £750k, Riordan £750k (Clause), Stokes £1m (clause), Goncalves free, Wont get all but will try for as many as possible.

23 Apr 2010 23:54:35
Former Telford manager Rob Smith is a shock choice to take over at Macclesfield in the summer.

24 Apr 2010 00:07:10
Heard from a very reliable source(journalist in manchester) that Man Utd's top targets for the summer are Lloris, D. Silva and Stevan Jovetic.

Lloris has been identified as the best young keeper on the planet and Utd will pull out all the stops to sign him in the summer or to agree a deal that would see him come next summer when VDS goes. Anderson may be offered to Lyon to sweeten the deal. Fergie has entrusted Evra with the task of convincing him to join when they meet up for France.

The David Silva deal has almost been wrapped up. He has stated that Utd would be his preferred choice outside Spain. Valencia have accepted a price in the region of 22–25m and it should be announced before the world cup.

Karim Benzema was Fergie's top target for the striking department but recent allegations over his personal life have cooled Utd's interest. D. Villa has been deemed too expensive. Jovetic is now the first–choice. A delegation has been dispatched to Fiorentina to secretly agree a deal before other clubs come in for him. He is seen as the ideal choice because he would come relatively cheap, is young and versatile, being able to play anywhere along the front 4. None of the major clubs seem to be interested now so a deal should be done quickly.

Berba is on the way out along with Owen(possibly Everton swap with Rodwell). Utd's forwards next season will be Rooney, Jovetic, Hernandez and Macheda. A experienced forward may come in for a very low fee if Macheda is sent out on loan.

24 Apr 2010 00:18:13
Liverpool are set for summer raid on Bolton with an £18million joint bid for Gary Cahill and Chung–Yong Lee.

24 Apr 2010 00:27:11
Man United:

We need 4–5 players over the summer, as several players are getting past it, and haven't replaced ronaldo or tevez properly + we need to keep on building as im sure chelski will be busy over the period with there aging squad!

the positions we need are a striker, left wing, creative midfield player, goal keeper and maybe one for the future.

GK–

options: hugo lloris, manuel neuer and igor Akinfeev

likely outcome:
All good keeper one will come in probably akinfeev for around 12–15 million or neuer for around 10m.

Creative CM–

Options: i think David Silva would be first choice but not sure whether he would come, but modric is definately an option so is joe cole but again im not sure whether he would go to a rival team although would love to have him at united. Jack rodwell has been in sir alex's line of vision for a while, and if not this season definately next. Gourcuff is another option to think about, van der vaart is as well.

likely outcome: i think that David Silva will be on his way to united for 20–25m deal. if that falls though then i think modric will be brought for around 20m

LW–

Options: Douglas Costa has been mentioned for some while. i think di maria would have been a good options but he will cost to much as too many clubs interested in him and rumoured to have a release clause of around 40m, which he isn't worth. robben i would love to see in a man u top but think it is very unlikely. Ashley young is another option and think he could become a quality player but mon will not want to let him go.

likely outcome: Douglas costa in for 16m or if ashely young is available for similar amout say 16–20m then him.

Striker:

Options: the options are hunterlaar, dzeko, are unliekly but worth mentioning, luis fabiano, nilmar, or villa(only in a swap deal with berbs goign the other way), podolski, benzema.

likey outcome: i reckon benzema is first choice as he hasnt settled into real madrid and could be ours for about 25–30m. if not him then i think hunterlaar coultd be an option in a swap deal with berbs.

Likely outs for united this season:

Probably berbatov, which i think is a shame as he is very under–rated! i can see anderson going over the summer as he has fallen out with saf. apart from that don't see many outs just need to add to the squad.

So much coming out of the Emirates right now that it's hard to keep tabs on. My source is usually a day or two ahead of all the newspapers, so take note and check them in nest few days.

Arsenal In's;

Chamakh (Free)
Mexes (Eboue + £3 mill)
Joe Hart (£8 mill)

Arsenal Out's;

Gallas (Free)
Silvestre (Free)
Almunia (He's not injured, he's been dropped and will subsequently leave in the summer)
Eduardo (£9 mill, apparently to one of the big french sides)
Eboue (Part of Mexes deal–Roma)

Alot of players have been touted and a few rumours need to be put to bed.

Here's the nonsense list;

Hangeland
Rodwell
Robben
Buffon

None of the above will be heading to the Emirates.

Also, neither Van Persie or Cesc Fabregas will be leaving. Mark my words.

Carlton Cole – Liverpool (£6–8M)
Cesc Fabregas – Barcelona (£30M)

C.Cole is worth more than 6M,
C.Fabregas is worth more than Kaka so will be looking at atleast 70M for him.

Arsenal to sign:
GK: Lloris or Hart
RB: Matthews or Van Der Wiel
CB: Richards or Zapata or Sakho
LB: No–one
DCM: Senna or Melo
CM: Maybe Sissohko
RW: No–one
LW: Maybe Van Der Vaart
CAM: Hazard
ST: Chamakh and Either Benzema or Dzeko

Benitez stays. Liverpool signings:

Aleksandar Kolarov (14mil)
Juliano Belletti (free)
Stevan Jovetic (16mil) or Juan Mata (18mil)
Eden Hazard (18mil)
Hugo Rodallega (9mil)
Milan Jovanovic (free)

Ryan Babel (9mil)
Yossi Benayoun (8mil)
Nabil El Zhar (1.5mil)
Charles Itjande (free)
David N'gog (loan)
Kristzian Nemeth (loan)

+ Liverpool have already sold Dossena, Voronin and Butchmann for a total of 8mil.

Liverpool can't afford to sign players who are playing Champions league for big clubs ie Silva & Villa and so have targetted younger talented players.

Cavalieri does not now need to desperately return to Brazil although he may ask for temporary leave if Reina is fully fit.

Pacheco is the only reserve team player who at the moment has a chance of making the team on the odd occasion.

Stevan Jovetic (18mil)
Aleksandar Kolarov (14mil)

and less major but still important, Hugo Rodallega (9mil) as back up to Torres.
