NUFC will pull out £14 million for a player who really is MASSIVELY over rated!
YET
We need a FORWARD! and they aren't willing to spend more then 7 on one! Does ANYONE at our club know what the hell they are FACKING DOING?!

More like £9m but will be rejected

Coventry City, Rumoured To Be Interested In Taking Nouha Dicko On A Season Long Loan From Wigan

Record

Strasbourg B 12 in 42
Strasbourg 0 in 3
Wigan 0 In 0
Blackpool 9 In 32 (Loan)
Wolves 1 In 4 (Loan)

And at least another four Championship clubs!

Would be a decent signing, he's quick. Him and Wilson would wreck the league.

Would he be played at these championship clubs, he'd be guaranteed a starting place imo

Wouldnt want him back at Blackpool personally

Would want him back at Wolves either (like the Blackpool fan)

Transfer gossip rife for Wigan with the impending sale of James Macarthy, Rudolph Austin being tipped as a replacement from Leeds

What sort of money you willing to pay 2 mil?

Not a chance of Austin leaving for wigan, he is our new captain he loves the club and our fans love him

27 Aug 2013 10:54:29
And Leeds would love some cash in the bank cus they ain't got any to spend, can't have much cus biggest transfer in last eight years million pound on a kid from Crewe,

Lees have dosh for transfers it is the wage bill that needs trimming by all accounts

'on a kid from Crewe', haahahah you're talking about by far the best midfielder in league 1 last season, and is one of the best players to have ever come from one of the best footballing academies in the country and he is now one of the best midfielders in the championship and for a young english midfielder with huge potential 1 mill is a bargain and he ain't some 'kid from crewe' + we do not need money

27 Aug 2013 16:10:23
Sounds like someone hit a nerve about one million pound record transfer, don't need money, you ain't got any, try bates account more in that than Leeds account,

27 Aug 2013 16:40:49
Thought best midfielder was nick Powell now at man U, you bought Murphy cus you couldn't afford anyone else, never said he ain't any good, just said you ain't got no money, you have to sell to buy like most clubs,

It wasnt a record transfer, we spent the same amount on wootton and who is Bates? he is nothing to do with us.

Leeds United's record transfer is Rio Ferdinand at 17 million thanks.

Cardiff have been given permission to talk to Finnbogason after the two clubs have agreed a fee believed to be around 7 million pounds, celtic were also intrested but it looks like they will miss out

Malky McKay just denied all interest in finbogasson

26 Aug 2013 17:35:03
ex Doncaster midfielder Martin Woods is to go on trial at Chesterfield and will play in a behind closed doors friendly this week.

Been on trial for 2 weeks and training with the 1st team
Cooky wants him and he is a good player but we must offload first

He is OK but has been blighted with injuries, we really slipped up a few years back when PNE offered us 500k for him, having said that if it was based on appearances we would have got£10 out of the deal.

West Brom set for a busy last week of the summer transfer window. Jordan Ayew and Morgan Amalfitano are both close to sealing season long loan moves, the latter also having a permanent option.

They will also look for a striker in the event that Anelka does not return. Bendtner is just one of several options, with the club preferring to look abroad to prevent paying a fee or using their last domestic loan spot, which they want to keep fee for January. The club may also look to sign free agent Lee Camp as cover for Boaz Myhill and Luke Daniels if no. 1 Ben Foster is sidelined long term.

Already got 3 loans

This is typical baggy gambling on any available signing know, anelka stuffed us good and proper, know clarke is sweating on doyle and sako, desparate or what

Watford had 10overseas players last year rule been tightened up but still more than 2 domestic loanes

What are the rules then

Im not that guy above but ->

“52. 3. 1 A maximum of 5 loan Players (Standard, Emergency or Youth) can be named in the Players listed on a team sheet for any individual match played under the auspices of The League.

53. 2. 4 A Club can have a maximum of 4 Players under 23 and a further 4 Players over 23 on a Standard Loan during any Season…

53. 2. 5 No more than 2 Players who are over 23 may join one Club from another Club on a Standard Loan in any Season. ”

abuse the system ehile its there fellas

This should be part 2 (depending on which part came first obviously)

heres more clarification on the loophole

Loophole

Neither the Premier League nor the Football League rules contain such restrictions in relation to international loans. When a player joins a club from an international association, the leagues recognise that player as a new signing. They do not register that player as a loan signing but as a permanent transfer while FIFA recognise the player as being on loan. So, in essence, a team could have 11 international loan players in the team on a match day without breaking any Premier League or Football League regulations.

Watford only have one loanee at present.

I am sick and tired of us trying to sign these fly by nights. can't we go for Defoe, Demba Ba or Adebayor. They would bring some quality to the side. Is this Jordan Ayew any good. I am starting to question Clark now. He said the other day that if he didn't sign any more players he would be content with the squad he has got. Has he got a short memory. Look at our results from Christmas onwards

Never mind all these loans, there is an England international striker that would be allowed to leave spurs for around 6 million Surely DEFOE would be a great signing and even at around 55k a week I'm sure west brom could afford this for such quality and experience

I would love to see Adebayor at baggies but I don't think Clarke is willing to spend the money + I think he would be about 60-70k a week

Totally agree with last comment. Quality, experience and most of all a proven goalscorer. I have just read that the Marseille duo we are linked with can't get into the Marseille side due to lack of form. Great encoragement I don't think

Victor moses and demba and r lukaku and k richerson and garner and g barry plus three more players end boring boring

Just seen on that westbrom ftb pro that jordan ayew would be likely to cost up to 9 million! If that is the case why not pursue the likes of moses and defoe who are proven in the premier league. And are far less of a gamble. I like that albion are a tight run ship, but there is a time to realise that when you lose assets like lukaku and odemwingie, they NEED to be replaced! Come on clarke, peace, and garlick let's see some ambition!

Come on Jeremy spend some money what about defoe show the Baggie fans that your heart is in the club it may be but just spend a bit please

27 Aug 2013 18:34:19
every transfer window is the same-linked to dozens of players but nearly all go elsewhere. I agree with previous comments- ambition would be to at least try and sign one or two of Defoe, Ba, Adebayor ( Lukaku if chelsea get Rooney)
but defensively everyone forgets we are still weak

More academy players to be given there opportunitys, after berahino shows we don't need the big names

Don't get why everyone thinks west brom are going to go mad in the last week because let's be honest we're not, I would love to see Adebayor at the hawthorns but peace won't pay 7 million for him! We don't have enough quality to survive in the premier league at the moment.

Full back positions are proper dodgy aha

no denial

26 Aug 2013 16:06:59
Burnley to sign Anton Ferdinand as new centre back partnership with Shackell.
Very good Source!

Burnley fan here don't really think they could afford his wages!

Anton ferdinand is back on his way to turkey, and anyway as if we would agree to pay his wages, i'm pretty sure he's on over 20k a week

He joined a Turkish team last week

And we've already got enough defenders, we need strikers and midfielders

Signed for antalyaspor.

LMAO.

This will NEVER happen- we're skint and unless there is absolutely nobody out there willing to take him on and unless he's willing to play for absolute buttons (in his terms at least!) then I cannot even see there being a possibility of this!

26 Aug 2013 15:38:59
Former Celtic centre-back Glenn Loovens is to join up with Derby County for training sessions following his release from Zaragoza.

No idea if true, but Clough was linked with him while at Celtic. See what happens.

This is rubbish derby have confirmed there is no interest!

Adriano Basso is set to make a return to ashton gate, he available on a free and is set to return to offer competition for Fielding, who is proving unpopular with the fans.

Why is he?

26 Aug 2013 13:53:18
Cardiff have had a loan bid excepted for Victor Moses, he is set to join the welsh club this week. Their is also interest from Liverpool, though they are thought to be turning there focused to other targets.

Even with the man city win. I see him going to liverpool tbh

26 Aug 2013 20:08:08
Excepted?

27 Aug 2013 12:59:58
liverpool don't need him, he's seen cardiff beat man city and realised cardiff are a top 4 team,. ;)
man u
chelsea
man city
cardiff

no liverpool there

ben. I can dream can't I?

26 Aug 2013 13:21:02
Fulham stepping up there efforts for a creative midfield player, have made enquiries about the availability of Joe Allen, Will Hughes and Ibrahim Affellay

Affellay has just had surgery on a chronic thigh problem and is out for four months so doubt there's any truth in this

Wouldn't class Joe Allen as a creative midfield player. He is more of a "keep the ball moving" player. Yes I know that the other year whilst with Swansea he made the most passes of any European player but the majority were between himself and his defenders. All of England wish we had a truly world class creative midfield player for the national team. The nearest we have is probably Jack Wilshire

26 Aug 2013 13:05:53
I've heard rumours today suggesting that Watford are looking at making a move for Wolves striker Kevin Doyle.

It's possible that it would initially be on loan with a view to making the deal permanent.

No chance we would be interested in him

Wages too high and he's not good enough anymore

Probably not. He's getting on a bit and isn't very prolific

26 Aug 2013 20:15:19
This is a lie Watford don't need any more attackers especially old overrated ones, we are in fact looking for a cm!

26 Aug 2013 22:12:27
In a decent team Doyle could do a job

At 29 he isn't exactly over the top.

As said above it's unlikely that Watford will go for another striker.

Watford will bring in a CM and a CF before the window closes. Both UK based

I guess not totally out of the question if someone does come in for Deeney as we have no similar cover for Deeney at present (that is ready)

He would compliment Deeney IMO,
But I wouldn't want to see him go.
Think if any club put in a bid of £2m it would be deal done.

- Wolves fan

Reading fc interested in chris wood leicester city

Southampton striker Jonathan Forte is to be loaned out again after failing to find a buyer for the Barbados international, Forte has not been given a squad number this season so will just be playing for the under 21's if a loan move can not be found.

League one side Walsall are said to be interested in signing him on loan, the saddlers have tried to sign the striker on loan in the past (January 2012) but failed. League one sides Carlisle and Stevenage are both said to be interested in the striker aswell.

Why don't Saints just pay up his contract and get rid once and for all of this useless specimen, he sure as hell is never going to be good enough for Saints.

Go Forte, for God's sake go.

Please please please we have 6 strikers please stop linking Carlisle with strikers we only play with one as well we don't need that many

Slightly harsh to say he was a useless specimen, all the players played a part in getting us where we are today including J Forte, good luck to him although I thought he had already left. May only have been one game but MK Dons at home rings a bell.

I am going to be controversial. why does jf with all that pace want to be a striker? surely with the right coaching saints could convert him into a winger? He can use both feet unlike puncheon. Why not keep him as a project player and use him in the u21 squad?

Forte is far too old (27) to be a worthwhile "project player. " He will also never have the kind of first touch/ball control needed for the Premier League. I felt he was only marginal for League 1.

Jonathan 'THE FORT' forte is a top block met him down the Albert after a game against Stevenage and he bought me and my mate jimmy a beer each. Sadly though he is not up the prem league standard I think he'd be a star in the Scottish championship. Good luck to 'THE FORT' though. and he's always welcome down me old mans burger van for one of favourites a Bacon bap.

BOB THE BOMBER :-/

Reading are appearing to struggle in their attempts to allure a striker to the club after deals for Akpala, Mladen Petric, and Billy Sharp have all fallen through. The club are now keen to rekindle their interest in well rated Yeovil Town forward Paddy Madden.

Madden will need to prove himself at this level before a club like Reading takes a risk. Can't see it happening.

Akpala deal has fallen through. Reading are monitoring him before making a move!

One more time! Sharp is signing for 'CELTIC' ASAP!

Apart from akpala who had a trial the other players were just rumours of which there were many. no actual evidence to suggest we were after them.

Reading were never in talks with Akpala, They had him training with them for a week to take a closer at him and they are not sure if they wan't offer him a deal or not. They are after two more signings and N. A. said they could go right to the window close and if they don't happen will look at loaning out of favour prem players.

Akpala deal is not off, they will will make a move after they monitor him in the next couple of days, if they want to sign him up it will be in the last two days of the transfer window.

26 Aug 2013 11:28:06
I know a scout and he said that Arsenal and Chelsea are in talks over Torres and we can expect the deal to go through before the transfer window closes. How much do you reckon he should go for?

26mil .

4 pound and 1 penny

26 Aug 2013 16:44:40
Depends how much Chelsea are willing to pay Arsenal

I think it would be a good move for Arsenal. Torres has lost his belief and needs to go somewhere else

26 Aug 2013 10:25:52
Who are the new "suitors" mentioned on tv for Gareth Bale ed?

Personally i'd suspect there are no new suitors, just an attempt to try and bleed every bit of cash out of the deal as possible.

Man united that's y they offered so little money for Baines and Fellaini. To keep people off the radar

26 Aug 2013 13:17:52
PSG

Most likely to be manchester united as they have been linked before but they will offer 60 million for bale plus 2 players most likely to be hernandez and nani/anderson

Chelsea want bale

Probably Manchester United with Nani as part of the deal

Leyton orient looking to sign Millwall forward John marquis on loan.

GOOD! He definitely needs more experience! Good luck JM if it happens?!

Nothing to do with this jm post but please sl get a decent keeper before the transfer window shuts next week? bywater is 'rubbish'!

Dean Cox could be leaving the O's for big money, before the transfer deadline, although nothing under £700,000 will tempt Orient to sell.
If Deano does go, there is talk Slade will try to sign one time favourite Nicky Adams.

27 Aug 2013 02:03:33
We got forde back soon don't worry about goalkeepers we need a striker and a centre back because beavers is the worst one in millwall he's cost us all the goals let in and we need a striker that can actually score get rid of Morrison only good at heading nothing else now

^ do you go millwall?

Morison only good at heading? He hasn't won a header yet all season!

For once I think millwall have to many good players

Who is bidding for Dean Cox?

27 Aug 2013 14:17:54
well the guy who said have you been millwall yes and morrison is good at heading he we always get his head on it almost scored for Huddersfield but goaly just saved it he will get it in again with his head soon for when he comes back from injury

Leyton Orient Manager Russell Slade could make a surprise move for their former player Aaron McClean. The subject came up after The O's entertained Hull on Tuesday night.

Slade and Steve Bruce are old mates, and could come to some financial arrangement on a six month loan.

Dont be silly. McClean won't re-sign for us. How do you know the subject came up after the CC cup game anyway?

'' How do you know the subject came up after the CC cup game ''

I was there giving the sandwiches out.

That shuts me up!

The agent of Real Madrid goalkeeper Antonio Adn has been contacted by both Crystal Palace and by Sunderland. Adn is tired of barely being chosen (just seven games since joining the top team in 2010). There was a hopeful moment for him last December when Mourinho chose Adn over Casillas for a couple of games, which caused much controversy at the time, but with Mourinho gone, he knows that he is back to spending most of the time on the bench.

Troy Deeney to Newcastle or Stoke. Troy's brother is telling close friends.

Probab hiy stoke as its closer to his family but both teams will struggle this year

Rubbish! grew up with them both! Ellis is his brother and has said no such thing!
Also troy won't move this season for personal reasons, still living in Brum Newcastle too far!

Gonna need a huge bag of money!

Neither have enough unless they sell first

Cabaye to Arsenal for 15m would do it - but who do Stoke have that is worth 10m+?

I'm sure both teams have enough considering the new TV deal. We could get him for 7 or £8m. And we don't need to sell any £10m+ players. Just people like Jones, Jerome, Shotton, maybe Kightly if we bring in a winger. We could get £10m for those four

Who do stoke have who is worth more than 10mil?? try the best GK in the prem, oh and maybe you didn't see that bet 365 made over £140mil profit last year? believe me. stoke can afford it

R u for real, Bego is 15mil easy in this current market! Mancini and platt planned to buy bego n get rid of hart, that's how much he is rated!Stoke will spend money this week!

26 Aug 2013 14:17:39
Who do Stoke have that is worth 10mil+? Begovic and Shawcross. Troy Deeney is not worth over 10mil. Also the post about growing up with troy and his brother is obviously a lie

Begovic is that gud he has linked 2 more or less every top club, I hope we never let him go

PC is worth over a billion all together! his company is worth the most out of any other gambling company
! he's not like Ashley lol who keeps the profits for himself he invests!

Begovic is our best player and in my opinion the best keeper in the league. I don't even think 15 million is enough to steal his services away from us. I don't know why people assume stoke city doesn't have adequate funds we are just having a difficult time signing players due to our bad reputation which he got under Pulis.

Stoke can afford any player if they really wanted to, however the club is well structured and very sensible with its money that's all

Guidetti deal off 9 mil they want, hoilett staying at QPR, Saviet staying in france, Assaidi deal failed through earlier

I understand the last post as this is why we never bought Diouf we are being clever we know he is running out of contract next year and he doesn't want to resign so its best not to waste 8mil.

You don't know the Guidetti deal is off, that's just you spitballing. It hasn't been announced publicly so no one but the team staff will know. And we could still get Hoilett, that is if we don't get Assaidi, which once again you don't know whether is still on or not.

Guidetti deal is not off, why have QPR signed Matt Phillips, Saivet said he wants out of Bordeaux due to poor finance and the Assaidi deal is ongoing. Most people post rumours not post rumours that will not happen.

Assaidi is at clayton woods today having a medical. who knows why qpr signed matty phillips but they have, thus potentially freeing up hoilett. no idea about the guidetti deal. I personally hope it goes through. saivet has reportedly said he wants to stay in france to mature as a player. can't guarantee its true as it is only a rumour. the only definite is that assadi is at clayton woods today and from what I hear we have already signed him much to the dismay of many liverpool fans who think he should have been included in the team this year

Assaidi is having a trial at stoke today it says on tv

Its a medical he had and has left now. he is now a stoke player for the season. hopefully with the possibility of buying him at the end.

I would not expect Stoke to pay anywhere near £8million for Deeney. Too much of a risk for some one who has not played at the top level. Would prefer us to spend half of that amount and try to get Connor Wickham. He was another overpriced championship player who couldn't cut it at premier league level. However he does score for the U21's. I think he is further down the line to being good enough for premier league than Deeney.

26 Aug 2013 08:49:57
Big Mick to move for ROI international Greg Cunningham of Bristol City to replace the departing Aaron Cresswell

Most likely he will strong hope in that rumour

26 Aug 2013 08:37:05
Ex Hartlepool manager Yogi Hughes offered head coach role at Gateshead FC

26 Aug 2013 00:49:37
Billy sharp will sign in the next few days for ipswich seeing creswell going to southampton. Ipswich will receive 1.7m however it is rumored that another player may be given to make the deal happen. It was said goalkeeper davis, not sure if that is an itfc requirement at present.

By my calculation, this means that Creswell is being valued at almost 4 million (about 500,000 for Davis, 1.8 million for Sharp, plus 1.7 million cash). That seems like quite a lot. Also, Davis is the #2 'keeper, so Saints are unlikely to let him go (as that would mean they would have to find another player). Finally, Saints seem to value Davis and to regard him as a future member of the coaching staff. All in all, this seems unlikely to me.

Why can't we just go out and buy billy sharp we have the money why do we need to lose a good player

Players will be Sharp Fox and Hammond and 1. 7M All of these not required at St Marys are MP wants them off the pay roll All three good championship players and will do well for Ipswich Good Luck

Davis is club captain. He will retire with us and go into coaching. He loves SFC and we love him. He won't be leaving. I'd bet my house on it.

Kelvin has just bought a new house and spent a lot of money doing it up.
I'm pretty sure he's not going anywhere.

Hammond & Sharp are likely aand it's possible Fox as well (as Creswell's left full-back) but to be honest I think that's probably way too many players to coordinate in one deal so pretty unlikely.

Interesting idea though
That Knowing One

True that about Davis he is doing up a house opposite my old school and he won't be moving out of there in a hurry!

Cresswell hasent decided where he going yet that's if he does go hope not could be true low

Just heard cressie in talks with west ham utd so I don't think he going to Southampton so we won't be getting sharp as we can't afford him

West ham don't have any funds left so unless you let him go there for nothing and a player off them doubt that will happen

The only place cresswell will go is to everton

The only person reportedly going out of portman rd is josh carson to hibs cresswell going nowhere

26 Aug 2013 00:02:37
Portsmouth have signed Adriano Basso on a deal till January.

Well really can't see this but hopefully

He is a bit old at 38, but he has to still be better than the keepers currently in the squad

Would prefer Stephen Hendersen, Jamie Ashdown or Mikkel Andersen on loan

Funny that 2 days later there's still not been any announcement of this signing?

Mikkel Andersen current playing in Denmark

Not Happening "The News"

25 Aug 2013 23:23:00
Peter Crouch and Abbey bought and moved into house in North London last week ( see news item about their cat going missing ) Long drive to Stoke for training? Or could he know something the rumour mongers don't?

Hes most likely got more than one house and perhaps its something to do with Abbey being on strictly.

He has also just bought a house in Woore.

Most premier league players own houses all around the world. The fact that he has bought in London means nothing

25 Aug 2013 22:45:50
Victor Moses to Southampton after them missing out on Sinclair. No solidarity just another rumour!

Last I heard he was joining Liverpool on loan?

Last I heard he was joining west brom

26 Aug 2013 09:53:14
When you look at how well the saints younger players are doing, what's the point in spending millions on players who are just here for the money ( don't blame them though) saints manager is spoilt for choice.

We have Isgrove if MP wants to play with a winger

I presume isgrove will go out on loan. Moses is Liverpool bound, i'd love him at southampton
