MILLWALL have been dealt a blow in the transfer market after learning that loan star Chris Wood has agreed to sign for rivals Leicester City.

Both clubs had bids accepted by West Brom for the 21-year-old but the Lions have now conceded defeat in the race to land him, with the striker set to have a medical in the Midlands on Thursday.

NewsAtDen understands that boss Kenny Jackett has elected to send Wood back to the Baggies immediately and will not play him against Cardiff or Bristol City before his loan ends on January 1.

The New Zealand international had previously stated that he would "definitely" sign for Millwall if given the opportunity, but the Foxes have convinced him to move to the King Power Stadium.

Chairman John Berylson revealed earlier this month that enquiries have already been made for other targets and Jackett will now begin to set the wheels in motion on other deals.

Why would Bristol city want an other striker when we've got 4 of them all ready! If we want to sign someone it will have to be a winger in place of adomah who is going to the African cup of nations. Apparently we mite be signing Bradley Pritchard or Jerome thomas when his loan at Leeds expires on loan.

martin oneill to be confirmed as nottingham forest manager tomorrow!

Billy Sharp will not remain with Nottingham Forest
Because of the sacking of O Driscoll, Derby are interested
In him with Leeds, Bolton and Leicester .

Don't talk wet. Sharp is loved by the fans and finally feels settled. H has layer for other managers in the past you know, so to say he wouldn't sign because Sean had gone is pathetic

Wasn't sure he was made available for transfer by Southampton,so how the hell can you say he's going here there or anywhere.

Got to be written by a Derby fan! Billy is on a season long loan with NFFC with the view of signing perm from Jan 2013

Also, I'm pretty sure (as he played for Saints against Man City) that he can't play for another team other than Saints or Forest during this season?

Would love if we recalled him to be honest.

Saints fan

He has already turned down two chances to sign for Leeds in his career. Sheffield United fan, and dont want tap-in merchants anyway.

'Dont want a tap in merchant'. Have you seen his goals this season, or even just his second today? person

Norwich are considering bringing in Costel Pantilimon on loan as cover for John Ruddy who is out for the rest of the season.

He's back at the end of march, not the whole season

We have bunn. Good stand in. Rudd. Decent stand in. Steer. Decent stand in. In other words pantillimon no way

Ruddy is only out for3 months

We already have two players on loan. so we cannot have another, hughton clearly isnt sending kane back early, and Garrido will only stay with us is we avoid relegation. so unfortunately this is impossible.

26 Dec 2012 13:36:11
Darren Bent to return to Sunderland in January. £12 Million

12m? we wont pay 6m and we sold the greedy sod

26 Dec 2012 12:47:28
Jack Hunt of Huddersfield Town is a target for Cardiff City. Conor McAleny is a possible loan transfer from Everton. From a reliable source whose name I cannot say.

Hunt under contract for ages, a Town player through and through, no way he would move to Wales. Probably Premier bound in June for a lot of money.

This source would be last weekends sunday people? How reliable! They also said he'd only be worth 375k. Add a zero to that Cardiff and Hoyle may refrain from laughing in your faces

Six men relocating to Leeds:
Ryan Hall (Southend) 150k
Michael Tonge (Stoke) 200k
Alan Tate (Swansea) 250-300k (not yet agreed)
Max Gradel (St. Ettiene) no fee yet agreed
George Boyd (Peterborough) no fee yet agreed
Jay Rodriguez (Southampton) loan

Jerome Thomas may extend his loan, but I doubt he will sign permanently.
wally {Ed052's Note - I doubt three of those deals couldbe agreed}

Jay Rodriguez is not leaving Southampton on a loan this season. He is a necessary back up to Lambert and is featuring in the Premier League.

Only one of those I could see feasibly happening is Ryan Hall. I mean seriously, Michael Tonge for 200k?! Do you think Stoke are imbos or something, they know people want him permanently, coupled with the new money he'd be at leat triple that. Can't see why Leeds would want Gradel back either

I don't see why we need to sign Tonge permanently. I don't see Gradel coming here either. Also, would imagine Saints need all the striking power imaginable in order to stay up.

Are any players headed out?

Hall and Tonge are done, so there. The others arent certainties, but there is a fair amount of mileage in these names. Warnock did want Beckford, but he was put off by his decision to stay with H'field, or Wood, who looks more likely to join Leicester, so is now looking at the Southampton player; a proven goalscorer at Championship level. Why doubt these deals could happen; has everyone forgotten about our takeover?

Swindon Town Embargo???
can this be true?????
With all these so called Millionaires on there Board why is an embargo even mentioned??
Perhaps this Board and new Chairman have engineered this so Dicanio will walk.
As for Austin if Burnley get an offer of 8 million plus he will go.
as for pre settlement with swindon 500.oooPounds??
If true swndon woulld grab with both hands.
As rumour has just maybe this mega rich Board are fed up with it all.
Forget about Arab money to date Swindon have been fortunate to survive and as said this might be a way to get rid of Dicanio

This board have brought in Di Canio and have sat down with him pre season and worked on the budget with the manager and all was set and agreed the amount of money available for this season, the problem was caused and it is public knowledge the tribunal fees for henville and collins was higher than expected and had to be paid immediately taking them over the spend to income ratio and forcing an embargo, not the managers fault, the new chairman is in place to oversee the new stadium project and to oversee new investment. If it comes then the investment will be in the stadium and dont forget for a minute that the clubs owners are multi millionaires so spout off what you want about Di Canio, this board brought him in and have and will back him, where are we in the league yeah Di Canio is rubbish.

Somebody seriously needs to get up to
date here. The transfer embargo was lifted on the 6th November.

Hi,

Most of you may not believe this. But expect Lampard to stay in London. This is because he is settled and still wants to stay at home. Likely Destinations:

- Fulham: In Dire need of a quality and reliable Central midfielder. Al-Fayed would be able to afford the experienced man, due to paying Berbatov a rumoured 70,000 a week.

- Tottenham: Would be a cheaper alternative to Moutinho, but AVB did not use him much at Chelsea. Unlikely.

- Return to West Ham: Possible destination. Still a legend at the club and Gold & Sullivan would want him and afford him.

- QPR: Good friends with Lampard and other players at the club such as SWP. QPR would love Frank at the club due to increasing quality. Harry is a huge admirer of English footballers, and has always stuck by them. Big Contender.

Personally, would think he'd offer the most to Fulham. Lampard would be unreal and would re-inforce Jol's midfield greatly.

Lampard wont downgrade. he will remain at Chelsea or go to real Madrid.

I think Lampard will most likely go to QPR because they have a squad full of old OAPs already and because Harry is Frank's uncle.

IJA

BREAKING BURNLEY NEWS:

Charlie Austin is set to sign an additional 1year contract, keeping him at turf moor for 2 and a half years! Most terms have been agreed such as wage etc, but Charlie austins agent is trying to hold out for a bigger sell on fee for him (between 5-10%)

Also, Burnley have agreed to give Swindon town £500,000 now to get rid of the 15% sell on fee as Swindon need the money now to bring in players in January. They know they could of got more but they need it now!

Swindon are under a tranfer inbargo so they wont be sighing anybody so stop with ya crap lol

True, heard similar from a youth teamer yesterday.

Rubbish, austin will be an everton player within 2 weeks

Wrong swindon are not under transfer embargo, 15% is wrong its 20% sell on. Also £500,000 Swindon will hold out for the percentage instead, which will be a bigger pay out for the club.

We ain't under embargo get your facts right

26 Dec 2012 09:16:00
No embargo now so get over yourselves.

Keep up to date - the embargo was lifted weeks ago

What embargo? It was lifted by the FL
on the 6th November.

Swindon town have a £50 million pound transfer kitty so don't think so
