Football Rumours Archive June 26 2006
Use our rumours form to send us football transfer rumours.
Liverpool targets for the summer have already been
completed folks, so lets summarise them here. Dudek 1m, Traore
1m, Kromkamp 2m, Hamann free, Garcia 4m, Cisse 6m are all looking
to join Morientes 3m at new homes, and Warnock will be available
for loan. Bellamy 6m, Gonzalez 4.5m, Palletta 2m, Leandro Somoza
1.5m are confirmed ins, total 14m. And deals for Alves 9.5m, Simao
9m, Aurelio free and Torres 15m are being worked on, but one will
drop out because of lack of funds to get all of them - both Torres
and Simao are open to offers from other clubs. These rumours are
posted from the agents' sites, so are unlikely to be far off the
mark unless there are last-minute contract issues.
OK, so it is well known on the AFC stage that Zico has already announced that
he will no longer take up the role of Manager after the dissapointing exit of
Japan from the World Cup. Due to this "general knowledge" several rumours have
begun to surface about who the new manager of Japan will become, and the main
3 leading candidates are
1) Ivica Osim - The well respected Bosnian coach has been at the helm of the
J-League club JEF United Chiba, and has made an immediate impact at the club.
His well known skills as a manager has made him the most likely candidate to
replace ZIco from August, 2006
2) Okada Takeshi - Japan NT coach when Japan made their first World Cup apprearnce
in 1998. However, his skills have slowly diminished, and since has taken over
the head roll of Yokohama F. Marinos, they went from a first place domination
to 7th place in 2005.
3) Nishino Akira - Since taking over the helm at the J-League club Gamba Osaka
in 2002, he has slowly improved the clubs record. In 2005, he led Gamba Osaka
to the J League title, as well as leading them to the AFC Champiuons League where
they thrashed Vietnamese side Dan Nang 15-0. He is the least likely candidate,
but it is well known in the JFA that after having two failed foreign managers,
many JFA members would like to see a Japanese at the top of the food chain once
again.
There should be a announcment very soon, since Zico's contract is up because
of the early exit by Japan.
Burnley are certainly set to wrap up the signature's of Kevin Cooper and Paul
Parry, both of Cardiff. A deal for the duo would cost about 400k. This would
take the pressure of long suffering Winger Graham Branch who is set for one last
season with Burnley, but could also be seeking a move to the premiership. Branchy,
after impressing fans and pundits alike after netting 18 times in around 250
games for the Clarets is understood to be interesting Blackburn, Charlton and
Sheffield United. Graham, who would only cost around 15k is set to retire at
the end of the season, as he revealed last week, saying: "I'd like to break the
news that after a very long, successful and exhausting career I am going to finish
at the end of next season whether it's with Burnley or whoever else I don't know
but I have reached this decision after thinking long and hard about it" When
asked if he knew of the interest from Blackburn, Charlton and Sheffield United
he replied: "well, I'm obviously used to been linked with premiership clubs and
if I were to choose one of them, well lets put it this way, I wouldn't choose
Blackburn or Charlton" One reporter also commented that Sheffield Wednesday were
mulling over a move for the star, 34. He said: "well, with no intentional disrespect
whatsoever, I would like to finish my playing days with a big club" These comments
look like good news for Sheffield United fans, Who are understood to be drooling
at the prospect of watching such an exciting and talented player at bramall lane.
J.K.
i know somebody who knows one of the coaching staff at bramall lane and he has
told me that the Blades will sign Ghana midfielder Derek Asamoah. FINLAY
Sheffield Wednesday are set to complete the surprise signing of Graham Tench.
J.K.
Lyon have completed the signing of Sebastian Squillaci in a swap for Monsoreau.
Manchester United have NOT signed Fernando Torres, they are in a 'tug of war'
over him with Chelsea(bidding war), it'll probably come down to whoever he wants
to play for. You might be surprised at this. Ever since Harry Redknapp took over
at Portsmouth for the second time, all he's done in the transfer market is good
deals for players who have kept them in the Premiership such as Pedro Mendes.
Well now it's different, he is in the hunt for Newcastle flop Jean Alain Boumsong(the
most clumsy defender in the Premiership), I do not know what his price tag is
though. No news on Daniel Alves to Liverpool for today. Mr Realsim
Sheffield Wednesday transfers:
IN:

Graham Tench (Leatherhead) 3k
Graham Branch £1.5m

OUT:

Glenn Whelan-York-14.5k
Frank Simek-MK Dons-19k
David Lucas-released
Peter Gilbert-Accrington Stanley-11k
Graham Branch is interesting Blackburn, Sheff United and Wigan after scoring
2 goals 40 from the left wing last season. Branch, 34, has scored 20 goals in
around 250 games with Burnley. J.K.
Didier Zakora will complete an £8.5 million move to Spurs to replace Edgar
Davids! Should Michael Carrick leave then Tainio or Jenas may fill in or Jol
might sign Owen Hargreaves although Tainio may be given a big first team chance
next season although i think Carrick is staying. Wayne Bridge will complete a £5
million move from Chelsea. In the 2nd signing from London rivals Chelsea, Martin
Jol will complete the £7 million signing of 27 year old Damien Duff.
Where Tainio is marked, expect Carrick to stay and play there. Carlton Cole
could also be a target for £2 million from Chelsea as replacement for Jermain
Defoe if he leaves.

West Ham will attempt to re-sign Sergiy Rebrov who scored a cracker for Ukraine
against Saudi Arabia. He commented before the world cup that he left Upton Park
on good terms and rumour has it that Pards is looking at him again in respect
to the Hammers European campaign.
Also Luke Young will complete a move in the next 48 hours and also the Hammers
have beaten Newcastle, Middlesboro and Man City to the signing of Steed Malbranque
both Young and Malbranque will move for an excess of 4 million pounds each.
Benitez did want either Fernando Torres or David Villa to grace his frontline
but both would cost around £20 million which is perhaps unaffordable and
he is still looking at Ronaldo for £6 million and Javier Saviola for £8
million of Dirk Kuyt for 10 million. No deal has gone through as of yet, despite
reports saying a Kuyt deal is done. I think there is a big chance for Saviola
to join Liverpool.

lfc will defo sign kuyt after the world cup
Portsmouth are ready to spend big. After last season's great escape Mandaric
wants the club to challenge Chelsea and Man U, although it's more likely that
they will be challenging Man City, Villa, Boro and Newcastle for an Intertoto
place.
Harry wants to bring in 8 new players with at least 7 players leaving. Olisadebe,
Dario Silva, Ivica Mornar, Franck Songo'o, Wayne Routledge, Andy O'Brien, Matthew
Taylor will all be leaving. Fulham and Newcastle to bid £4-5 million for
Taylor.
Harry wants to sign Pascal Zuberbuelher, Nicolas Anelka, Stiliyan Petrov, Martin
Petrov, Glen Johnson, Artur Boka and Abdoulaye Meite. He is also interested in
taking Jon Obi Mikel on loan from Chelsea and will make a £10 million bid
for Jermain Defoe.
Rangers fans who say that zidane, ronaldo and guily would be one of the big signings,PLG
said himself that he has no money to spend!!!!Zidane has already confirmed that
he is going to retire. Ronaldo on the other hand is STILL world class and alot
bigger clubs than Rangers would love to sign him, again the same with Guily and
he is still wanted at Barca. Lets face it none of these players would want to
play in the SPL and especially for a club who finished 3rd last year...Anyway,players
that will sign for Celtic - expect mostly midfield players to come with the like
of nakata, ono, kranjcar all being linked with the Bhoys, also expect a left back
either kladjec from Sparta Prague OR Ian Harte
SPL SHOCKER-
LE GUEN SET TO WALK OUT ON RANGERS AFTER BEING
PROMISED £10-15 MILLION TO SPEND WHEN HE SIGNED HIS DEAL AND NOW BEING
TOLD THERE IS ONLY £2-3 MILLION MAXUIMIM NOW!!!!! ST
Oh Dear i can not believe someone said this:
'Can i clear things up about Liverpool FC, they are NOT being taken over, they
havent got alot of money to spend this summer as the club is currently a few
million in the red. Players such as Cisse, Alonso, Garcia, Dudek, Kewell and
Sissoko are up for sale, i know this as i am one of the administrators working
at Liverpool to clear the minimal debt.'
Yes, we're not being taken over and yes we are in debt, but, apart from Crewe,
so is every single English club. Chelsea and United have the biggest debts, with
everyone else around a reasonable figure which correlates with the performances.
For example, the more succesful you are means the more debts you have because
you spend you money. However, these debts are very manageable because a big club
like Liverpool can handle it and budget for it. Unlike Leeds, nobody else is
budgeting for something they won't get, such as Champions League income. Why
do you think, pre Abramovich, Chelsea were still spending money despite having
seemingly crippling debts? Because they budgeted for it. This is why Liverpool,
like every other big club do not need to sell to create a transfer budget. If
this was the case, then do you not realise that Gerrard would have been sold?
To suggest Alonso and Sissoko are up for sale is ridiculous because they are
two of the biggest young stars throughout the Premiership. Sissoko was only signed
12 months ago and was a sensation and therefore will never even be considered
for the transfer market. Should we receive a massive offer for Alonso, then similarly
with Gerrard Liverpool would reluctantly accept, but they wouldn't need to. I
repeat, every club is in debt and Liverpool are now different.
By the way, i am a Doncaster fan who is just speaking the truth.
carrick to man united -£14m , mascherano to man united £12m
well this just in Real madrid to bring in cannavaro, veira, nedved n ibrahimovich
100% true players to go out carlos to middle east, woodgate to newcastle, ronaldo
back to brazil, gravesen back to epl, raul to liverpool
Newcastle are supposedly keeping their powder dry for the big Italian fall out
And will wait until the fate of Juve, Lazio, Milan and Fiorintena before any
sigings are made
Most likely signings will be Kuyt, Malbranque and Woodgate on pay per play deal
They did make a 27m bid for Torres last season and where told to come back nxt
year, they're now having second thougts about the spaniard with the historys
of Marcelino & Luque, we aint got much look with spaniards
ARSENAL WILL BUY TORRES 4 20 MILLION AND RVN WILL GO TO MILAN FOR 11 MILLION
Liverpool don't have the money for Torres. I think he'll probably stay in Spain
for another season. Arsenal will sign a CB and LB to replace Cole who is off
to Chelsea. And Arsene will be looking for a CM with Gilberto Silva looking to
move on, probably to Spain. The only teams to benefit from the scandal in Italian
football will be the other Italian teams, Italian fotballers don't leave Italian
football. And one fact for you West Ham fans, Newcastle have had a bid for Ashton
accepted as it was to good to turn down. Expect an announcement in the next 48
hours. So you hammers are continuing to be the selling club you will always be.
Arsenal are set to sign Ajax right back Hatem Trabelsi for an undisclosed fee.
Liverpool have made thier big summer signing already and thats Craig Bellamy.
It would be very out of character for SAF to buy Riquelme for ManU. When he has
spent big money on players he typically wants players aged between 20-24 hence
I expect the likes of Carrick, Mascherano and Torres to be targets rather than
Riquelme who is 28. Similarly if he could replace RVN with Torres at a net cost
of £10 million or so this is good business (29 year old for a 22 year old)
both of similar wages.
Nedved is an interesting one, if Juve go down he may be released but at 32 he
is only viable at low cost or as a free given his mega wages. Tezza
luke young to west ham is signed today (sunday) a press conference is scheduled
for tuesday at chedwell heath
Man u will definately sign TORRES(done deal). RIQUELME will not sign as SAF believes
that he will flop like VERON. CARRICK will also sign for definate(15million deal
agreed). MASCHERANO will join Arsenal or Chelsea. RUUD will stay as he has made
up with SAF. 3 youngsters also to join including KERLON. ALL OF THESE TRUE(i
have my sources in the club)
ze roberto agent is discussing a transferto west ham, he is out of contract so
there is no fee involved
Aussie moves after world cup........... CAHILL>>>>MANURE EMERTON>>>>EVERTON

LFC over the last two years alone with great cup runs have raked in an absolute
fortune(extra to what was expected, and after they bought alonso). they will
still be buying quality players which will be announced after the world cup!!.........p.s.COME
ON ENGLAND!
to the people saying liverpool dont have alot of money, do you really think benitez
would renew his contract 4 months after he ultimained about spending money, well
if so you need some help, when have liverpool not got money weve always had money
in the past and why would we not spend alot this season benitez has showed us
what hes all about by bringin the champions league and fa cup back to us. get
ready for some big signings. LFC TILL I DIE!
John O,Shea plus £5million to Everton for Tim Cahill. Didi Hamann to Everton
for £1.5m when dust has settled on collapse of move to Bolton. Steed Malbranque
to Everton for £4million.
LIVERPOOL ARE NOT IN THE RED... THEY HAVE 25 MIL TO SPEND AND SECONDLY WHY WOULD
RAFA SELL SISSOKO AND ALONSO AS THEY WERE THE 2ND AND 3RD BEST PLAYERS LAST SEASON
ANYWAY LIVERPOOL TARGETS AS FOLLOWS :-
Kuyjt, Alves ( nearly completed), Palletta, (done ) Gonzalez (waiting for permit)
Bellamy (done)Aurellio ( waiting on him to accept), Rafa will also go after some
new kids for the reserves... so there ya go ... thats LFC's transferes done this
summer !
crystal palace to sign sunderlands tommy miller as ben watson is off to an unnamed
premiership club
Chelsea may be willing to pay 30 million pounds for the 'apache' (Carlos Tevez),
Chelsea have offered Shaun Wright Phillips in exchange for Aaron Lennon. Michael
Carrick should complete a 17 million pound move to Man Ure before the start of
the new season. Arsenal have offered 10 million for one of 'Apache's National
team partners, I think by now everyone knows who. Mr Realism
scott brown will not be signing for rangers, he will stay at hibs for another
season then will head down south, for the people saying ronaldo will be signing
for rangers get a grip it will never happen, names like ronaldo will never come
to scottish football, rangers will sign another 3 players, clement, elmander
and perhaps an english based player and that is it, anyway on to glasgow's number
1 team the scottish champions celtic, strachan was in touch with jay jay okocha's
agent about the possibilty but was not happy with the wage demand he feels he
can get a better player for that amount of wage and that man is ryan giggs man
u are willing to let him go for free because of his service to the club but wether
giggsy is willing to come to paradise is a different matter, michael kadlec will
be a celtic player by wednesday and will be followed by another 2 before the
weekend, strachan wants his new signings in before they head for the start of
their pre season tours, the name of joey barton has been touted about celtic park,
strachan approached chelsea about the possibility of crespo on loan but was politey
told no but another chelsea player could be makin the journey north, one signing
will be a complete surprise according to my sources so will wait and see, when
i hear anymore i will let you's know, thanks
arsenal are defo not goin to sign torres after the world cup coz the havent

Likely West Ham Team Next Season, after signings of Malbranque, Young and M'bami:
Carrol
Young Ferdinand Gabbidon Konchesky
Benayoun Reo-Coker M'Bami Etherington
Harewood Ashton
To the person who claimed LFC were so much in the red that they were selling
alonso, sissoko and kewell...why would rafa sell 3 of his best players, who would
only need replacing?? this would clearly defeat the object of selling them especially
as players for these positions might cost as much or more and who probably would
not have half the quality of the above mentioned!! plus why would you sell your
best performers when your clearly trying to mount a title challenge nxt season??
seems a bit odd huh? next you'll be claiming rafa wants to sell stevie G to man
u!! please think before you post rumours that have no grounds and make even less
sense!!!
AC MILAN TEAM NEXT SEASON!!!!
BUFFON
ODDO NESTA BARZAGLI KALADZE
MAXI RODRIGUEZ PIRLO DE ROSSI
KAKA
TORRES GILARDINO
manu are the only club open to a HOSTILE takeover because you were PLC, meaning
anyone could buy a share in you, so you had no choice in the matter, as soon
as Glazer bought 51 percent of your shares he owned you. chelsea, like most other
clubs, are a private limited company, meaning that they only sell shares to people
the board approve of, meaning ken bates was willing to sell his shares to abramovich.
so although roman did 'takeover' the club, it was the choice of ken bates for
this to happen. and chelsea where happy to have abramovich.
Graham Branch is a class act
Expect Paul Sturrock to return to Home Park this week for a second spell managing
Plymouth Argyle,He has been at the ground today (Sunday) sorting out the terms
and contract,The return of luggy!
IF Torres leaves Spain, it will be for either Man Utd or Chelsea
Burnley are certainly set to wrap up the signature's of Kevin Cooper and Paul
Parry, both of Cardiff. I know this as my mate works at Turf Moor. A deal for
the duo would cost about 400k. This would take the pressure of long suffering
Winger Graham Branch who is set for one last season with Burnley, but could also
be seeking a move to the premiership. Branchy, after impressing fans and pundits

only cost around 15k is set to retire at the end of the season, as he revealed
last week, saying: "I'd like to break the news that after a very long, successful

it's with Burnley or whoever else I don't know but I have reached this decision

Sheffield United fans, Who are understood to be drooling at the prospect of watching

I've heard from a reliable source that trabelsi Will be moving to Aresnal on
a free ( his contract has ran out with ajax abd Aw has been interested)also Aresnal
will sign Klose no united and finally united fans stop living in dream world
Torres is coming to Aresnal and you know it
Anyone who believes that zidane is going to rangers it is a lie he is RETIRING
HERE ARE SOME TRUE TRANSFERS
Aresnal=trabelsi (free) Klose (10-20m)
And if juve get relegated then you might see thuram ,terezequet and ibrahimovic
With Olof Mellberg and Milan Baros both heading away from Aston Villa, David
O'Leary would like to use the money to strengthen his team. Milan is set to be
heading to Hamburg, but I have heard from a member within the club that Blackburn
are monitoring the situation(Bellamy replacement!) Aston Villa will not allow
Baros to leave for any less than £8.5million
Olof Mellberg has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich, and will be leaving
the club behind despite the best efforts of other players to persuade him to
stay. When Olof Mellberg leaves Gareth Barry will be given the captaincy and
WILL be offered a new contract. With the £14.5million Villa have raised
they are set to swoop for Lee McCulloch (£1.7m), Rafael Van der Vaart (£8m),
Danny Mills (£250,000), Shola Ameobi (£3m)!!!!!!
I think Torres wiil be moving to Manchester United for 25 million.
Riquelme seems unlikely as they will probably grasp Carrick.
!!ARSENAL NEWS!!
Arsene Wenger has made contact with Juve over the possible move for Gigi Buffon.
The stumbling block is the 19 million fee, however with Juve owing Arsenal 10
million for Mr Vieira expect Arsenal landing the best Goalkeeper on the planet
for 10 million!! Buffon has made it clear that he wants to stay in Italy but
who will buy him because Milan are also under investigation and surely Inter
can't suit him. Expect Real Madrid and Barca to come in but Arsenal are holding
the strongest link. Buffon is also understood to be unhappy at Juve with on going
scandal whereby fellow players like Ibrahimovic had there houses searched by
police. At 28 at his peak expect a 5 year deal to tempt Gigi Buffon to London.
Just to put the nail in the coffin Buffon speaks brilliant english
Man United will send Rossi out on loan for a season with Villa, Blackburn, Charlton,
Watford and Wigan all competing for him.
Man Utd will NOT sign Torres bcoz they will opt for Klose bcoz he is cheaper
leaving them extra money to up the offer on Carrick. They will also make a shrude
bid for spurs' Jermaine Jenas.
lvrpool,i agree with the guy that said there will be no takeover occuring THIS
season anyways, they havent got alot of money to spend THIS summer as the club
has been unable to cash in on Cisse and co, Liverpool are NOT in any financial
difficulty and this statement will be backed up by reading up on the Liverpool
financial reports that are sent out to ppl involved in the club, Bit players
such as cisse and Dudek will Go,But Alonso, Garcia, Kewell and Sissoko are NOT
up for sale as Rafa sees them as key components to his team -Jay-
Daniel Alves : Rafael Benitez is losing patience with Sevilla as they are persisting
on 10 million and nothing less. Rafa wants to get him as cheap as possible so
he can raise the funds to buy Dirk Kuyt who will cost around 10 million.
expect dani alves to sign next week for under 10 million due to a medical and
also there is a young striker impressing rafa becuase he has been in prolific
form at the world cup not sure of his identity yet but am more than positive
he will sign after the world cup if liverpool can not agree a dela with feyenord
for kuyt you heard it here first ----------SH-----------
leeds united to sign edgar davids from spurs on a free transfer, ian harte to
rejoin from levante and also alan smith could return on loan to rebuild his fitness
after his horrific injury.
Its well known that Alan Pardew has been given much money to facilitate another
push for Europe for next season. Firstly he has signed Bowyer and Spector for
a very small fee, and these are going to be squad players, with Bowyer being
a major force from the bench.
Next players on the way are Steed Malbranque and Luke Young who will sign on
monday. These will be 1st team players with Young replacing Scaloni and Repka.
While Malbranue will offer a major challlagne to the comfortable pairing of Mullins
and Reo Coker.
Julio Arca will be signed at the end of the month for a fee of £1Million.
He will offer backup to Paul Knochesky, and Ethrington. This will spell the end
for Clive Clarke who will sign for Norwich next week.
Pardew is also keeping some money back whih he will use after the world cup,
as he wants to see players till the end. We might get Saviola, however, well
probably ewnd up with Rebrov
Arsenal News
In Midfield Arsenal are currently looking at two players Mascherano (which seems
unlikely) and Yaya Toure (although he is also unkeen after previous rejection
so Arsenal will have to rely on Kolo to assist). We have all but signed Gago,
a promising Agrentine player to give competition to Flamini, to replace Gilberto
in the defensive midfield role. We have also all but signed another Barcelona
starlet in the cesc mould. Merida. Defensive we are looking to sign on a free
Trabelsi, to replace Lauren and give competition to Eboue. In the centre it is
all but certain that Sol will be moving on. If so, we will look at Davies (depending
on price) Thuram (depending on the Juve situation) or Mexes (Who we have been
linked with in the past. We have also been linked with Buffon, but i think he
will opt to stay in Italy.
It looks as though Arsenal will be busy this summer if we're to believe the latest
round of speculation. We've already got Tomas Rosicky, but it looks as though
we're after Gianluigi Buffon and Hatem Trabelsi. A deal for Trabelsi is reportedly
already agreed, and he'll join on a free transfer after seeing out his contract
at Ajax. Buffon could also become available should the Juventus situation worsen,
but the figure I hear is £19m even if Juve are demoted.
With Italian football in such a mess, as many as four teams could be relegated
from Serie A, including Juventus and AC Milan. Fiorentina are another of the
sides facing potential eviction from the top flight, and that has alerted several
clubs to the possible availability of striker Luca Toni. The Italy striker is
wanted by Inter Milan for sure, but several other sides have been credited with
an interest. Bayern Munich are loitering in case their bid for Ruud van Nistelrooy
fails, but Barcelona will no longer be interested in Toni after signing Chelsea's
Eidur Gudjohnsen for £8m. West Ham, Manchester City, Deportivo, Atletico
Madrid and Espanyol have all been linked with him, but I think he'd prefer to
stay in his native Italy. Inter would then lead the chase, but I still wouldn't
expect Brazilian Adriano to leave. He will stay with the Nerazzuri for at least
six months, but a move to Real Madrid in January wouldn't be a completely wild
idea.
i heard that miraslov klose from werder bremen comin to arsenal for 15 million
and maybe gallag because he is unsettled at arsenal
