Not a great start as can be said that of Newcastle this season (understatement) and look where Blackburn finished. Dont judge when short memories seem to cloud your judgement. Lucas Neil has every chance to join Newcastle, personally I don't think he will, but we pay lots of wages and we would offer him a first team jersey, something he would not get at Liverpool as well as the chance to play with Moore, a partnership that looks great internationally.

Frank Ribery will move to arsenal but not until summer. Arsene likes the look of Klaas Jan Huntelaar but might have to get rid of A CF to bring him to the Grove.
Jens Lehmann is currently deliberating over a move in the summer to Borussia Dortmund and is expected to make his mind up by january in time for arsene to find a replacement. If jens decides to go Arsenal will aquire the services of Nuri Sahin for around 6-7Million.LFC
O my god, will people stop sayin that Gerrard will leave liverpool. Y would he leave the team that he loves? He's not a money grabbing or unfaithful player like Rooney, leaving his boyhood club just for a few extra quid.
Anyway here are some rumours. Benitez is looking at his ageing defence, Hyypia-31, Finnan-31, Carragher-28, so he is looking for some young defenders. He will bid for:
Micah Richards(RB) - 5m
Daniel Alves(RB/RW) - 9.5m
Curtis davies/Anton Ferdinand(both CB) - 10m/5m
He is also looking for another winger for cover for Pennant and who can be used as a utility attacking player, therefore he will buy long-term target Simao(RW/AM) - 9.5m.
Benitez is also looking at the misfiring strikeforce. with the likes of kuyt, bellamy, crouch and fowler there should be goals but benitez might buy 1 or possibly 2 new strikers, if so these will be from:
Torres/Villa - both 18m
Podolski - 15m (Would only happen in about 2/3 years)
Fred - 13m
Saviola - 5m
Defoe/D Bent - both 7m
Cassano - 8/9m
Trezeguet - 6m (even though he is rubbish)
There will also be a major clearout, the players which will leave or get loaned out are:
Crouch- 6m (will nly happen if we sign a big striker in his place)
Garcia - 7m (will only happen if Simao joins)
Hyypia - 3m
Finnan - 3m (he won't leave this season)
Zenden - 2.5m
Fowler - 3.5m (he won't leave this season)
These transfers will happen over 2-5 years because Rafa is constantly saving for the new stadium so don't expect this to happen over night.
